Something that amuses me between knitters and crocheters is this... almost humble nature each craft has about the other. I couldn't imagine how one would knit, and I know some of the basics - and yet, I have met so many knitters who say crochet is impossible, and yet I find it to be so simple. There's just something charming about when one recognizes just how much skill, effort, patience, and care go into a craft, and to be humbled by just how incredible human ingenuity and creativity are

Would you punish a toddler for toddling, for being unsteady and unrefined? Then why is it that we must punish ourselves for being in what is essentially that same state? Create, even if you cannot run with it. You can still walk with it. You can still crawl with it. But, create

This has nothing to do with anything but: you don’t have to be good at anything. Just like fyi. People love to say that “anyone can draw” or “anyone can write” or “anyone can [insert hobby of choice]” and that’s true! You can do anything you want! But you may never be GOOD at it, and that’s still okay!! Practice doesn’t always make perfect, but do it anyway! The point of life isn’t to be GOOD, it’s to feel JOY!
