IN THE LIBRARY WHERE HE KEPT HER

Draco wallows in the sudden passing of his wife Hermione Granger. By charming her favorite books, he's able to live vicariously watching their memories while succumbing to his grief. It will be up to him, the persistence of his friends, and the legacy of Hermione's love whether or not Draco chooses to continue living in the past, or to shut the doors of the library for good. Told through a combination of flashbacks and present-day scenes.

It was him after their failed scheme had been revealed. His words on Lady Whistledown ran through her mind. As she looked into his eyes, she couldn’t do this. “No.” The word was ripped from her throat. It sat between them.

Okay - this is basically unfinished. But the front part of the scene was in my head. This is what I think season 3 part 2 has to start with (but mostly wishful thinking - because I want this conversation before an engagement - even if I don't want to write all the awful bits).

Friendly reminder that I have no chill. I watched season 3 part 1 and this is what I want for season 3 part 2 to start with (it doesn't have to be exactly this, but I would like one word to be there).

I’ve already said it, I’ll say it again, Mal du Pays is such a visceral and clever word to describe Siffrin’s Sadness. When I first saw it in game it genuinely made me pause like. Yes, it translates to homesickness. But it has the literal word for country in it. “Country sickness”. For a guy whose core problem is that his childhood, his culture, his country is missing. One could argue it’s a twisted pun. I’m obsessed with it.

(slight, vague spoilers ig?) about the HEA route, were we always intended to dislike smitten and his actions here were clarifying that intent, or was it more like character development? I've been seeing more people say that his actions here have made them dislike him during other routes too, so I wasn't sure if he was always supposed to be difficult to like or not

The voices are, among other things, manifestations of the player's emotions. Even the best things in life can be destructive in excess, and in terms of voices, this is far from being a unique characteristic of the Smitten. See also: Cage!Skeptic; Tower!Broken; Witch!Opportunist, etc. etc.

Smitten in HEA is an interesting stand-out case because the route hits particularly close to home for a lot of players. And when something in a fantastical setting hits close to home, there's a tendency to apply real world standards to the characters involved in that event. So players are more likely to take Smitten to task, than they are, say, Hunted, who traps you in a cycle where you and The Den violently eat each other forever, or Broken, who insists on torturing Apotheosis.

If anything, prior to release, I thought Smitten-heads would mostly be upset at his lack of screen time. He has almost *no* dialogue in The Pristine Cut, even in "his own" route, where the role he serves is more that of an echo than that of an active participant. I liked abby's answer in our AMA.

All of this is to say, there's no overarching intention for you to "like" one voice or "dislike" another. Each iteration of them is "different," much like each iteration of the Player is "different" at the start of each version of Chapter 1. And all of them have the capacity to change, for better or for worse.

Aziraphale is probably my favorite between the two, partially because of his internal conflict but mostly because he's just so expressive and silly even when he's not trying to be.

Crowley is also these things ofc but he's better at hiding it.

Goth Smitten

My personal headcanon is that Smitten designed the whole HeA route area, while Long Quite was regenerating (come on you can’t say that this guy is not the reason princess murals and tapestry are there)

Also he cooks all the meals in the matter of seconds

Just to be clear, I’m not trying to glorify Smitten’s behaviour in the HeA route, this is just my silly meme comics
