Sam’s done stuff, okay? Not a crazy amount, but he’s had a couple girlfriends, some guyfriends (not boyfriends, there’s a key difference) that he’s fooled around with. But actual sex? Not yet. Dean clocks him on that the summer after his 17th birthday, when John’s dropped them off at some random apartment in western Montana. He’s helping a buddy—a Mason or Michael or Mitch, Sam can’t remember—with a vampire coven a town and a half away. Sam and Dean would’ve been invited, but Dean’s got stitches healing up his sides, and Sam’s got a “shitty goddamn attitude”. They’re rotting in the dry air of the apartment when Dean decides he’s bored of daytime TV, and demands a round of Quid Pro Quo, AKA the game where Dean asks as many embarrassing questions he can think of. Sam’s so bored out of his skull that he agrees to it.

They’re sitting across from each other on the living room couch, and it starts simple. Stupid stuff, like “when’d you last jerk off,” and “monster we’ve killed that you’d fuck”. To anyone else, it’d be a weird conversation to have with your brother, but sex is 80% of Dean’s personality. Half of the shit that comes out of Dean’s mouth has something to do with girls, or boobs, or dicks between boobs, or whatever other dirty thing he can think of. Sam was used to this.

“Um…” Sam trailed, eyes drifting to the ceiling as he tried to think of his next question, “What is… What’s something you’d never do with a girl?”

Dean hummed, pushing his bottom lip out in an exaggerated pout as he thought of his answer, “I dunno. I think anything with another guy would be a no, especially like, her boyfriend or brother or something. If he wants to watch, I won’t mind, but active participation is a no from me.”

Sam scrunched his nose at the idea, feigning disgust. A guy-girl-guy sandwich didn’t sound too bad in his head, but an interested response didn’t seem appropriate. Dean laughed at Sam’s expression, relaxing into the couch.

“My turn,” Dean’s smile dipped towards something mischievous, and Sam knew he was in for something raunchy, “When’d you lose your virginity?”

Sam’s heart stuttered, and he felt his face heat. “Uh,” he swallowed harshly, “Last year,” the lie stumbled off his tongue. Dean’s eyebrow raised.

“When last year?” Dean pushed, and Sam shook his head.

“Nope,” Sam bit the inside of his cheek, “My turn. Why the disinterest in including a guy?”

Dean’s face flushed slightly, confusing Sam. Dean wasn’t the type to blush, but maybe it was the blunt way Sam had delivered the question. The older brother shrugged.

“I dunno, I’m not into dudes. If I’m fucking a girl, I don’t want someone else’s dick involved,” Dean hurried through the sentence, then his eyes hardened on Sam. “When’d you lose your virginity last year?”

Sam’s ears were hot. “A little before my birthday, when we were in Missouri.” He’d quickly puzzled through the aspects of the lie in the brief seconds Dean had used to respond to his question. The game felt like an investigation with the way he spit out his next question: “You mentioned a brother being part of the equation. Has that ever happened to you?”

Dean rolled his eyes, “Jesus, you’re hooked on this one. Yeah, a few years ago when we hunted that shapeshifter in Utah, one of the cheerleaders flirted pretty hard with me. I thought we were gonna hook up, but she said that we could only fuck if her brother got to supervise. It was weird, and I didn’t talk to her again afterwards.”

Sam nodded his acknowledgment, and felt his stomach swoop when Dean’s eyes darkened.

“What was the name of the girl you lost your virginity to, and what’d she look like?”

Oh, he’d gone in for the kill. Sam paused too long before responding, and knew he’d lost.

“Um. Dakota, and she was, uh, blonde, and had green eyes. She was cute, I guess,” Sam sputtered, and the growing smirk on Dean’s face didn’t help his embarrassment of being caught.

“You little shit, you’re lying!” Dean crowed, tossing his head back as he laughed, one of his hands coming up to cradle his stitched-up side, “You seriously haven’t lost it yet?”

Sam’s face burned, and his stomach flip-flopped. Nausea crawled up his throat, his body physically reacting to how silly he felt. Being caught in a lie was far worse than just admitting he hadn’t had sex yet—Dean wasn’t going to shut up about this for weeks.

“Shuddup!” Sam’s voice was practically a whine as he buried his face in his hands, scrubbing at his eyes before yelling over Dean’s hyena laughter, “It’s not like I haven’t done other stuff, you jerk, I just haven’t gone all the way!”

Dean’s laughter calmed, the elder of the two’s expression shifting from humor to interest. “Okay, then what’s the farthest you’ve gone?”

Sam scowled, “It’s my turn to ask a question.”

“I’m not playing anymore,” Dean grinned, “I’m just asking. Answer the question.”

Sam’s face felt like it was on fire, and his stomach felt like a pot of water that’d been readied to boil. He bit the inside of his cheek so hard he bled.

“I-” Sam hesitated, debating whether or not to lie again. The farthest he’d ever gone ever was him and a guyfriend (not boyfriend) making out in some back room of a house party, then jerking each other off. Some fingers had ended up inside of him, and his face darkened further at the thought. He could lie, spin it like he’d been with some girl, but Dean was waiting for a lie. Sam huffed, avoiding his older brothers wide, excited eyes.

“I was at a party, and we made out and… ugh, we got off together. Fingering was involved,” Sam covered his eyes with his hand, groaning at Dean’s low, appreciative whistle.

“Wow,” Dean’s smile was salacious, “What was her name?”

Sam could lie. He really could, since Dean seemed to have taken the bait. He removed his face from his hand, glancing over to Dean. His stomach twisted and turned.

“Daniel,” Sam muttered.

Dean blinked, and blinked again. His grin slipped off his face as he seemed to process the information. Sam felt sick.

“Daniel, or like, Danielle?” Dean tried. Sam swallowed around the lump in his throat.

“Daniel. His name was Daniel Atkins.”

Sam watched, the fear dissipating from his stomach as Dean’s face slowly turned bright red. A little grin perked at his mouth.

“Uh,” Dean tried, suddenly averting eye contact, “Cool, alright.”

“‘Cool’?” Sam questioned. Dean nodded emphatically.

“Yeah, totally cool,” Dean affirmed, though his face remained red, “Very very cool. Still lame that you’re a virgin, though.”

Sam snorted, and extended his leg to kick Dean softly, “Jerk.”

Dean swatted at Sam’s offending leg, “Bitch!”

6. What is your darkest fear about writing?

Pretty sure this isn't original at all lol but the fear that it'll never be good enough, either to anyone reading it, or to me. Which is worse, to never be satisfied with my own creation. I hope one day I get better at it, but until then I'll try to push through

7. What is your deepest joy about writing?

Creating characters that just unconditionally love each other. It's the most beautiful thing and it makes me squeal. I think, if you squeal about your own writing, you're doing something right lol

21. Could you ever quit writing? Do you ever wish you could? Why or why not?

Nope. Writing is more than just putting words to paper, it's also creating stories and characters and themes,,, and my brain is hardwired to do it. Everything I look at it or experience, one of my first thoughts is always "could I use this for writing??" So nah, even I tried, I love it too much to stop. And Writer Brain politely says no.

24. How much prep work do you put into your stories? What does that look like for you? Do you enjoy this part or do you just want to get on with it?

Outlining, outlining, character idea, character sketch, moodboards, playlists, some more outlining, oh hey a new idea, let's change the outline, readjust everything, let's do it again, some more outlining, polish it up, then drop it because I've obsessed over it so much I've become bored :D

I wish I could just get on with it, I love to actually create the stories, but I love planning and outlining too. Intimidation and nervousness of both actually writing and that the outline isn't complete yet hold me back until I eventually get bored and move on to the next idea. Which is a problem because I never finish anything q.q

39. What keeps you writing when you feel like giving up?

The joy that I get from the characters interacting with each other. I wouldn't give up on my friends, and my characters feel so close to me, and I love each one of them, and I'll work through the story to keep working with the characters <333

Talk about one of your favorite features of a bias. okay for this i'm gonna choose to talk about..... sooyoung because i just looked at some photos of her. i am so. so. soooooo. in love with the roundness of her face i adore how every feature of hers adds to the roundness also like yeah her face shape is like the moon to start with but the softness of her brow shape adds to it, the round plumpness of her lips adds to it, the buttonlike quality yet still downward curve of her nose adds to it and the roundness of her eyeshape adds to it like idk it is just so!!!!!!!!!!! her face is so unique and soft and amazing.

If you could meet 1 bias in person and have an actual conversation with them, who would it be and why? i feel like this is so obvious but i would have to choose taemin like to me taemin is the height of artistry of creativity he is a literal genius in every sense of the word to me and at the same time we have so soooo much in common i feel like if we started talking about film and art and music we would never stop.

3 Are they superstitious?

juni is at first that type who doesn't really believe in magic/religion things from a rational perspective but also finds value in rituals, as an emotional good luck charm type of thing. (but after she starts experiencing stuff relating to magic and pandoria, she readjusts quickly to accept that new reality, or unreality...)

juni's brother doesn't understand human stuff like this, at least not for a long time from after his rescue from pandoria.

5 What’s their sexuality/romantic orientation?

juni is pan, she's attracted to ppl based on their individuality with no regard to gender/etc. she's a bit of a romantic and probably had several small crushes throughout her life so far but no proper romances yet.

juni's brother is probably pan and demi (not a romantic person the way juni is but could experience the same feelings with specific ppl), after he heals enough to experience more feelings and stuff at all.

9 Where are they from originally?

they were born in valedale. but they don't have real memories of it since The Events happened when they were very small, so juni's brother only knows pandoria and juni grew up on south hoof (adopted by the hightower family). still both of them feel a familiarity with valedale when they're there, as if it's also home somehow.

16 Are they related to anyone in Jorvik?

biologically it's their parents (dead) and mayhaps some secret stuff beyond that. juni has her adopted family on south hoof.

21 What’s their favorite pastime?

for juni it's just doing random things, enjoying life whether it's resting or working. she likes reading and doing creative stuff, hanging out appreciating the sea breeze on south hoof, going on trail rides (whether for fun or working with the rangers), or eating cake at a café with friends, really anything. if she has a lazy and alone day she's probably reading old books in a cozy place somewhere, or hanging out in the sun outside with Winterborn.

juni's brother spends all his time being confused and suffering. he wanders off without saying anything to stare at things or dissociate.

28 What’s some stereotypical popular things that they like/secretly like? (i.e. Pumpkin Spice Lattes, scrunchies, etc)

juni isn't ashamed of liking anything so probably a lot of stuff, she just likes what she likes no matter if it's niche and weird or really popular. im not rly knowledgeable about whats popular jdfhkg but i think her taste in food is probably the most basic and might be embarrassing to others. she loves sweet stuff and sort of simple foods more than fancy Adult(tm) food. if you bought her some fancy restaurant dinner she'd be fine and appreciate it, but she'd prefer eating homemade sandwiches on a picnic or a strawberry milkshake at a cafe. i think she would prob drink pumpkin spice lattes a lot if it was trending, she's excited to try new snacks. but yeah i think just with anything at all she likes both popular and unpopular things without worries.

juni's brother doesn't care now, but if he had grown up in normal circumstances he would prob have been a bit more selfconscious about stuff like this than juni is.

30 How did they react when they first met a horse in real life?

for juni, she grew up on south hoof with a lot of farm animals and horses around so she's always known them, but basically she just feels a special bond to horses, like there's just something different about them (especially after she met Winterborn) even tho she also likes a lot of other animals. she probably waved at horses as a baby and wanted to poke their faces.

for juni's brother he wouldn't think anything of horses when he meets them after being rescued to jorvik, he would look at humans and animals and everything the same distant way. but there might be a horse he reacts differently to.

31 Who did they first meet in Jorvik? (if it was their parents, who next?)

the first people juni remember is her adoptive family, but technically the druids in valedale met her first after she was abandoned. she met the hermit as the first person outside the hightowers. as she grows up she just starts meeting tons of ppl and helping ppl all over (just like mc in the game).

juni's brother hasn't seen any humans after their parents until juni rescues him. the druids, elizabeth help with the rescue and are the first other ppl he meets. another of the first ones is gf's character yasmine.

42 What’s their favorite childhood memory?

for juni, starting to help out at the rescue ranch as an older kid / young teen was a big deal, and she has a close bond with hugh as an uncle and friend. there was probably some specific moment with hugh that was a big deal to her in growing up and choosing her path in life, but i dont know exactly what rn. other than that her memory of meeting Winterborn as a rescue foal is really important to her and significant for who she is.

for juni's brother, he obvs doesn't have normal memories due to being just sort of in limbo in pandoria his whole life, but i think in both of them there is a sort of vague memory of existing together as newborns, that would be the closest thing he has to a regular memory.
