so. i am of the opinion that gortash is terrifyingly good at reading people. the stat that is most commonly associated with this ability is wis, but. while his wis certainly isn’t bad, he mostly uses his int.

the way he so easily slips into one mask after the other to manipulate. understand. i think that he has no actual empathy at all but operates almost like a highly intelligent ai would. taking the brain apart into pieces he digests, studies, learns to comprehend. remembering things. “if i do this, they become sad.” “if i do this, they fear me.” (insert creepy gort smile here) “if i press this nerve, the brain i’m currently digging in will spill information.” it’s all like. how do i say this. highly accurate calculations instead of actual empathy.
