"the life and suffering of sir brante" is an extremely underrated low-fantasy political thriller narrative game which entails you, sir brante, writing your memoirs before you die. the entire game is the inside of your autobiography:

the worldbuilding is fantastic and the writing is solid. it has way more replay value than it seems at first, too - there are hidden events and unique story endings all over the place. check it out if you like things like disco elysium and norco. i'm considering putting together a ttrpg system based on the setting

I love everything about NORCO - soundtrack, art, humour, writing, melancholy, story, minigames... Just having a good time with it.

The fourth flood will follow a slow hurricane, and it will be a calamity. It will leave the entire region submerged as critical levees breach. There will be a massive blackout that lasts weeks. Much of the sewerage infrastructure will be damaged beyond repair. The embattled federal government will do nothing to assist. It will bankrupt the region. Small militant enclaves will form along the high ground of the Mississippi River. They will take to piracy and hijack commercial shipping vessels. Private mercenary forces will respond in kind. Slowly, industry will flee this hotzone. The Old River Control Structure will collapse from neglect and sabotage. The Mississippi river will again change its course.

Norco. An old abandoned refinery town on the ghost of a river. Your house will be squatted and then razed.

it was yesterday one year ago that @applesauce567 and i went to norco, louisiana together! of course, inspired by NORCO(2022). we were also the people who cosplayed kay and million. did you know the cafe there has some killer lattes?

(in a few days it'll be that time a year ago i wore my kay cosplay at lake pontchartrain...)

The discipline needed to perform portion control and extend my stay in this world is a constant battle. The writing is superb and everything is so very haunting, including the soundtrack. It’s truly Twin Peaks in a futuristic Louisiana in various states of disrepair. I highly recommend.
