i pretty much use these monolid eyeshadows from @lilith-sims for every other sim i make but they don't match my defaults and a few skintones i have so i finally sat down and recolored them to match :3 swatches here; more details after the cut

i use @noodlesims' honey apple crisp skin defaults and made the monolid eyeshadows to match the alien and vampire skintones (last two in the swatch preview, respectively)

i only use three skintones from @poppet-sims for my alien simmies (i love my alien simmies) but i recolored the whole set just in case someone uses all of them

Stardrop! Default Skin Replacement

It's yet again time for me to go through another spell of hating my current default skin.

...and thus, after much tinkering around in Sims4Studio and CmarNYC's Skininator, this beauty was born!

Additional details (and dl info!) under the cut!

This default skin blends a ton of my favorite skin details from my favorite creators (including magicbats, pyxis, nolansims, noodlesims, plumbhead, & lamatisse), as well as some hand drawn details from yours truly.

+ Maxis match & maxis mix friendly (a great base for layering additional skin details on top of!)

There's some additional blush added to the models above (and CC eyes, obviously), but otherwise, what you see is what you get.

Before you ask, yes, yes I did name it after the item from Stardew Valley.

neroli - a skin blend for TS3

Ok no more group pics because I got sick of posing all my sims together.

This skin is a mix of Ephemera's Freckle R skin, Realistic skin, Fresh skin, Buffy's V4 skin (used as the base), and a hint of Noodlesim's Apple Cider Vinegar V2 skin. Yeah, a real concoction, I know.

It favours a more realistic sunkissed look, and has freckle details on the teen, adult and elder faces. Male textures have very subtle freckles on the face and some light hair on the body; female textures have stronger freckles on the face and the standard smooth Ephemera body texture.

It reminds me of a carefree day spent in the sun...

I think Ephemera's realistic skins are gorgeous but I found it hard to make them work for my sim style. So this blend is my way of adapting those realistic details for my own aesthetics. Personally I love how it came out.

Thank you @sim-songs for encouraging me to finish this up and get it ready for general use, because after I finished the adult stages I was ready to leave it hanging in forever-wip-purgatory. And thank you to @tau1tvec @descendantdragfi for testing an early version of this skin blend many months ago - it's finally done now. 🤪

Supernatural Default Skins for IO's 0320 edit v2

So, I've been using this skin by IO (@serabiet) edited by Sam (@dreadpirate @veronavillequiltingbee) as my default for some time and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.

The only problem I had with them is that there weren't any Vampire / PlantSim / Evil Witch / Zombie / Genie matching skins... so I made them!

Here's a preview of (in this order) Vampire, Zombie, Evil Witch, and Plantsim skins/overlays:

Human Skin

Here's how Sims in the 4 skin tones look with the human skin, so you can compare them:

Vampire

With this overlay vampires are paler, have cooler/grayer skin than human sims, and have red eyes.

Zombie

This skin/overlay is totally opaque, this means that their original skin color won't change how they look even if you have the Zombie Overlay mod by @midgethetree.

I still recommend using that mod with this skin, because if you do, zombies' eyes will be white instead of their normal color.

Evil Witch

This overlay has transparency. With this overlay evil witches will be green, but their original skin color will change how they look.

I didn't make an overlay replacement for Good Witches because it already works well with the skin. If you don't like it, you can always use a mod that disables it.

Note: be sure the witch skin loads after creaturesfixes if you have it. If the skin loads before the mod, the witches' scalp will look a different color than their skin. I spend like 1 hour trying to fix the scalp looking weird and it turned out to be this lol

PlantSim

This overlay is totally opaque, this means that their original skin color won't change how they look.

There's also the wilted version but I forgot to take pictures

@keoni-chan's 'North of the wall' outerwear combo for Melodie9 fat TF, AF and EF. It's made up of Amaryll's hoodie and @serabiet's skinnies with docs. They have fat morphs, AF and TF have preg morphs, categorized as outerwear, BSOK'd. Polycount: 2,639.

I fixed the floating laces on the boots and edited the bone assignment at the front bottom of the top to eliminate clipping. Swatches, details and texture credits below the cut.

The recolors for EF and TF can be standalone or repo'd to AF.

gardenia - a skin blend for TS3

I blended Ephemera’s Fresh skin on top of Noodlesims’ Apple Cider Vinegar V2 skin to give it some more detail and realism. This skin has softly defined facial features and a radiant, all-over glow.

At first it was just supposed to be a personal blend. I made a comparison post here back in January that I didn’t expect to get so many notes. I am finally getting around to uploading it.

I didn’t edit the base textures of the baby, toddler, and child stages but I think they still look cohesive enough with the edited teen, adult, and elder stages.

Today I have two gifts for you all! The first is this finished request for @pockethamster at the GoS Wishing Tree: a skinblend (of sorts) of Furbyq's Cactus Plantsim overlay with Noodlesims' Honey Apple Crisp skins. Credit of course goes to @furbyq-sims and @noodlesims - if either has an objection to this mashup of their work, I'll remove it, but for now the direct link is here at SFS and the details are in this post on the GoS thread. Preview pics will come, once we're done with our family celebrations.

The second gift is this: Kulo Sena is returning in the new year! I'll have proper introductions to everyone and their stories this time, and I'll try not to need to rebuild for a while. There may also be preview pics for my hood coming over the next few days...

today i have an updated version of my frogspawn skinblend for you guys ! this skinblend is basically @knowledgeaspiration ‘s lilypad skin  with the lips cheekbones and teeth from @xiasimla​ ‘s cartoon skinblend (exact same as the old frogspawn except with new cheekbones + teeth) ,with babies-children having a softer version of the skin and elder skins having a less pixelated version of @episims​ wrinkles.

this skin comes in defaults for s1-4 and the alien skin, and also comes with 14 geneticised and townified skins in @trappingsims2  and @lilith-sims  's skin colours.

default colours: s1 = light rose, s2 = sunkissed, s3 = sunheat s4 = sunset. preview pics show default skins.

i hope you enjoy this skinblend, i’ve been meaning to update it for a while :)

note: this skin is built off the lilypad skin so will conflict with that, as well as noodlesims honey apple crisp skin and lilith’s honey skin

To be honest I was assuming that EA was gonna reuse the toddler body on infants, and this link has the infant textures which are decidedly not the same as toddlers.

If I want to update my skins with the correct body, I'm gonna have to make a new one for infants the same way I did for toddlers children etc. (Vanilla Noodles body) That might take a while becauuussee

Vanilla Noodles body is a mashup from luumia's vanilla body and noodlesim's body. I have no idea if either of those creators will return to update their skins. Luumia might? But I don't think Noodles has modded in quite some time. I will be pleasantly surprised if they do.

I could just do my own edits to keep the style consistent (there's plenty of scratch edits in Vanilla Noodles already), but of course that will take some time.

Could also wait and see if Luumia and Noodlesim DO return. But then you guys would be waiting that time too.

The method mossylane suggests in their tutorial reuses the EA body, could do that too. Infants are probably small enough that it wouldn't be noticeable during gameplay.

I guess I have to think about what to do now 🤔
