TLDR: I won't be sharing fundraiser posts right now due to my financial situation and needing to not feel pressured to donate. I'll still try to share other types of important posts. Sorry.

For the time being, I will Not be sharing fundraiser/mutual aid posts on this blog.

This is not a deliberate attempt to absolve myself of responsibility. As it stands, I am in a fragile economic situation myself. With my new work schedule, I have a very small amount of money to spare each month after living expenses. I am also already a frugal person and have little "fun money" to redirect. (I only have one considerable expense right now that isn't a necessity, and I'm mostly relying on some of my savings for it currently.) Many of my recent donations have come out of my living expenses and I've been rationing my essentials as a result.

The pressure to donate is actively Dangerous for me. Sharing these posts has come with a mounting pressure to donate each time as well. It is very apparent how little shares matter in comparison. And I simply cannot keep up with the expectations nor can I safely deal with the guilt. I keep on donating so much money that I just don't have enough left in the month for my own expenses.

I am sorry for this. I have tried for a very long time to share fundraisers regardless of my ability to contribute to them, and I don't judge anybody for the, for lack of a better word, tactics used to get them attention and funds. But I can't be putting myself in jeopardy because I feel pressured to donate. I live alone and have nobody to catch me if something happens.

It is possible that my situation will improve in a few months and I will be able to donate again, but there is no guaranteeing this at the moment.

I will still try to share informational posts, but I may be more avoidant of posts that include donation links.

I am sorry if I am coddling myself or being selfish. I know that sharing fundraisers is one of the simplest ways to help someone. But it is, genuinely, severely, a problem for me. I am hoping that, even if you don't understand, you can give me the benefit of the doubt.

not the kind of person to usually reblog and ramble on some random post (sorry) but this has been kinda hitting hard personally lately. feel free to ignore me!

My friend was called out not too long ago for bullshit reasons and I do agree that it's concerning how easy it is for someone to. Pass something random off as bad and it'll somehow work.

I think, and I believe this is a phenomenon more on Twitter than anywherr else, there is a general Fear of being/supporting a bad person, plus a fear that everyone else is a bad person too. That fear is taken advantage of to convince people not to question when someone Appears to take a "moral lead" and "does justice" by making a callout. People are pressured to act as much as possible, act impulsively, "do the right thing" just do something visible so that they can "prove" they are a good person. Many world problems ARE as black and white as "stop bad thing from happening" but this black and white mindset is then applied to much grayer situations with individual people, meaning you have to be either an angel or a horrible evil person no matter what you do. plus, because of the sheer amount of callout posts that come out regularly, some of them being justified, it's easy to believe everyone is a bad person and to assume the worst because it "keeps happening."

I don't think it's an osc specific thing. It's more like a young people Internet culture thing. The only way to really solve it is for everyone to hold themselves accountable (ironically) and to learn how to think critically, as well as to not succumb to the pressure of "doing the right thing" and sticking with their own beliefs and the conclusions they come to rather than impulsively taking a callout at face value.

I've seen some young people learn such lessons at least, so it doesn't make me completely hopeless. But it is frustrating that every single conflict is nowadays solved by a falsified callout post where you can let the internet do the job of shame and harassment and isolation. Callouts are a tool for awareness and deplatforming, often misused for the things I described above, hence they often don't truly address or get anywhere closer to solving the problem.

That last guy who said that you can lie about anyone in this community to get rid of them was right, though. If you wrote a callout doc on someone and just filled it with spam and random screenshots, people would still reply to it saying Oh my god!! What a terrible person! If you support this person block me now!!

I've seen a ton of completely incomprehensible callouts successfully ruin people who were totally innocent.

My confession is that I'm horribly depressed by everyone's collective failure in this fandom to ever actually critically analyze or confront allegations by questioning them. I think it's because most of you are children? The stupidity of children is being weaponized.....

What do you all think about the issue? Has it affected someone you know? Are you even aware of it?

I just found out that one of the people who reblogged one of my post turn out to support a paraphilia, so reblogging this from my main, because I feel really uncomfortable about people supporting it just because I simp for object shows doesn't mean I support these people.

So I saw one of my people that actually reblogged one of my other blog's post turns out, they supported a paraphilia

If you guys support paraphilias, please get out of my blog or any of my other blogs. It makes me very uncomfortable. Since I was almost groomed by a objectphile

Even if your paraphilia seems to be harmless, please don't ever interact with me, you're gonna make me more uncomfortable, since I'd like to have my content more of a safer place for people who don't have power feels like LGBTQ+communities, not paraphilias,

and even if it seems harmless would get worse, so please do your research on It's why it's harmful and please, if you disagree, block me or just ignore me because you don't have any time to waste on me talking about why it's bad and you can not change my opinion why it's harmful.
