I thought it'd be fun to make some Aussie themed Pokemon and now I can't stop! These are all based on things like Australian plants, animals, iconic Aussie media, and food
Bowsquig- normal type- these pokemon love to draw but all of their art is upside down. They are also avid collectors of items that are their signature colour, which they place around their nests. They come in a wide variety of colours
Fwren- fairy type- while very sweet towards humans, especially children, they can be quite ferocious and territorial towards other pokemon
Frostatoo (I couldn't figure out a better name. Based off of alpine gang gang cockatoos)- ice- they live in high mountain forests, always found in pairs. They shape tools out of ice
Scarfox- ghost- said to be an old fur scarf brought to life, its eyes are an uncanny blue. They love to eat nomel berries
Billyboil- ghost/steel- regional variant of polteageist
Balfrog- fairy- covered in a sweet mucus that the pokemon uses to lure in prey
Splitana- grass- goofy by nature, this pokemon loves to play pranks, especially on young teddiursa
Bilburrow- ground- bilburrow love to dig for gold and precious gems, especially opals, which they carry around in their pouches
Platyspur- poison- these pokemon look deceptively cuddly, but pack a potent and painful venom in their tail spur
Bankseed- grass- a sleepy and lazy little pokemon, very relaxed by nature
Bankseed alt form- grass/fire- when hit by a fire type move this pokemon gains an extra typing, but it also becomes hard to control
Snugsia- evolves from bankseed at a certain level, and can only evolve while burned

New Berry Code
I’m a god damn maniac. A psychopath. All for something that will seem like not much is being changed.
So while I was high on depo and not able to do anything artsy I started making my own method of berry growing with what will probably be close to 1,000 different events and variables. But I kind of have to do this because the original method to get berries doesn’t make much sense in the context for this game and is very exploitable. (That being the normal way berries are coded in gen 3 and 4.)
What the system was-
You buy berries online. They get instantly shipped to you.
You can bury them and then wait 20 or so minutes (because of the unreal time engine making an entire day actually last about that long) to get a fully grown tree full of berries.
You then would have to take them to a specific spot to go through a bunch of choices just to sell them for a profit.
Alternatively you could just buy the berries and then sell them. The profit would barely be anything though between the bought and sell price.
What I’m going to change it to be-
You buy *seeds* of berries to be planted. These seeds are cheap and can be bought at the bar in the main town. (The bartender would’ve kept them from the previous owner of the farm’s berries prior to you being there.)
They won’t grow unless you actually go to bed a certain number of times. (I’ll be referring to this as “number of days” from now on.) Watering them and giving them mulch will shorten the number of times you need to go to bed for them to grow.
Berries will restart to the first form after a certain number of days passes without being picked. Watering them will reduce the number of days you need to pass by one. Adding mulch will reduce them by two. (So 3 days with a combination of the two.) This will require math on your part because (for some berries at least) this could make the days go over and restart the berries.
There will only be one bag of mulch... Maybe two if I feel like giving the player some leniency. (One bag will reduce the days by 1, and the other by 2.)
You can sell the berries anywhere like you would normally sell anything and gain a profit.
There will be a way to get a better watering can. The “Shiny Sprayduck.” (I chose the Sprayduck watering can to give to the player because out of the three available cans, Psyduck’s shiny is the most drastic change out of them, since it goes from a warm color to a cold.) This can will water three plots at the same time- the plot to the right and left of the plot you’re in front of.
I’m trying to make this game be colorblind friendly because my husband is colorblind and he’s showing interest in playing this game. I’m not colorblind but sometimes I wouldn’t be able to tell if I watered something in the official games. So instead of making the dirt a darker color I decided to instead have the plants sparkling when you water them. (Though that graphic may go away if you walk to a different screen.) I didn’t bother having the graphics changed for mulch being added though, but the game will tell you if you already used mulch on it for the day.
Watering your plant more than once a day won’t do anything.
You can also just bury the berry itself if you want. It won’t do anything different from burying the seed though. You may as well just sell it and buy a bunch of seeds.
This method will NOT work with these berries:
Razz Bluk Nanab Wepear Pinap Cornn Magost Rabuta Nomel Spelon Pamtre Watmel Durin Belue
Because these berries’ primary function is to only be used for Poffins, which are something that’s not going to be in this game. I’m not gonna give the player the chance to get any of these berries anyway so it shouldn’t be a problem. Unless a Pokemon can pick one up. (I’m not too sure and I don’t care enough to find out.) But if that happens you may as well just sell it as is because the code’s not gonna recognize them as a berry.

YOUR MUSE AS A DEITY.
Tumblr media
tagged by: @ofalsehoods
tagging: @inanthesis , @asortofsensation , @blazerought
GOD OF: loss, suffering, willpower, paternity, self-reflection, ambition, and the fruition of one’s goals.
ASSOCIATED WITH: priests, monks, memorials pertaining to mass death, graveyards, mirrors, children’s toys, dreams, children, tragedies, mental clarity, all things related to Pokemon---history being the most favored, aura, the strength of the broken.
SACRED ANIMALS: all Pokemon, jackals, canines, crows, buffalo, bears.
SACRED PLANTS: Oran berry trees, Nomel berry trees, Forget-me-nots, Gladiolus, Lillies.
SACRED GEMSTONES: Agate, Chrysocolla, Calcite, Dalmatian Stone, Rhodonite, Fighting Gem.
COLORS: blue, black, red.
SCENTS: Various forms of incense, candles burning, wet clay, the smell of silk robes, ashes.
ACCEPTED OFFERINGS/WAYS TO HONOR:
Offerings of children’s toys are the most revered; many tales tell of the god’s lost children and how much he loved them, so toys serve as a form of remembrance to them. Some say that those who have recently buried a child that bring an offering to his shrine are blessed with good luck in fertility and their child’s soul is granted safe passage to the afterlife.
To honor him is to honor yourself. Mike 1 is a kind and benevolent god, bordering on fatherly; those that follow him are some of the most introspective and self-aware people one can meet because he wants them to grow. To better themselves. To not end up like him.
Create shrines that can double as orphanages.
Build memorials in honor of great tragedies under his name.
Depictions of his homeland before its destruction.
Art of him and his family, together and happy just like how they used to be.
Roserade Tea
Seek comfort from your loved ones when you are suffering; do not allow yourself to wallow in your despair until you cannot find your way out.
Destroy those that have caused substantial emotional, physical or mental damage to children in whatever sense you can in his name.
Regale stories and folklore of Pokemon origins to everyone that will listen.
OTHER INFORMATION:
A fact that has become fiction as centuries passed is that Mike 1... never wanted to be a god. He had been a mortal, once upon a time, one that had suffered great pain and even greater loss. Be it the will of a cruel god? Or one that took misguided pity on him? No one knows but him...
He is known to show bias towards Pokemon and those with Pokemon blood in their veins.
Mike 1 is considered a sage among gods; one that his fellow deities can turn to in times of crisis, be it for words of wisdom or a shoulder to lean on. Or cry on.

Pokémon RSE - berry growth
Planting berries. According to bulbapedia, if you minimally water them once per growth stage [seed, sprout, taller, flowering], they should have a high chance of giving you the maximum amount of berries. To check, at the flowering stage they should be “blooming very beautifully” rather than “prettily” [next best] or “cutely” [you didn’t water them at all]. Also, after they ripen, you’d have an amount of time equal to the growth time to pick it.
Below is just a suggested scheduling of planting and watering berries. Assuming one is awake [able to water/pick] for 16 hours a day from 8am to 12 midnight, (adjust to suit your own schedules accordingly)
- 4 hour berries (1h per growth stage): anytime between 8am to 8pm if you want the berries on the same day/to not miss a stage
- 12 hour berries (3h per growth stage): anytime between 8am to 12pm if you want the berries on the same day/to not miss a stage
- 16 hour berries (4h per growth stage): plant and water the first (seed) stage at 12am, then wake up slightly earlier than 8am to water the second stage, continue watering at each stage and you'll have your berries at 4pm the second day. (this is mainly for Leppa berries)
- 24 hour berries (6h per growth stage): plant and water the first (seed) stage anytime between 8pm-12am on the first day, then water the second stage slightly less than 12h later. You'll be awake to finish the rest of the watering and the picking on the second day.
- 48 hour berries (12h per growth stage): plant and water anytime between 8am to 12pm for the earliest results, you'll be awake for some time at each stage so you'll get it on the third day's morning. (usually Lum berries)
- 72 hour berries (18h per growth stage): anytime. You'll definitely be awake at some point of each stage, just have to wait 3 days in total to get the fruit. (contest berries from berry master's wife)
Berries by growth time (note, I don’t use the special/event berries or the e-reader berries, so I don’t include them, other than those from the Berry Master’s wife). These can all be gotten off the bulbapedia website (search: list of berries by growth time)
- 4 hour: Razz, Bluk, Nanab, Wepear, Pinap
- 12 hour: Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Rawst, Aspear, Oran, Persim, Pomeg, Kelpsy, Qualot, Hondew, Grepa
- 16 hour: Leppa
- 24 hour: Sitrus, Figy, Wiki, Mago, Aguav, Iapapa, Tamato, Cornn, Magost, Rabuta, Nomel
- 48 hour: Lum
- 72 hour: Spelon, Pamtre, Watmel, Durin, Belue
