It’s the way Dimitri would arrive at the third bell after noon.

Byleth could usually get through the massive amount of paperwork each day and lead the prayers throughout the day with no problem. But once she received word that her husband would be arriving soon, she found it hard to focus. Seteth would assist with the paperwork as Flayn led the prayers. Meanwhile, Byleth would gather up whatever she needed for the trip back home.

When Dimitri arrives, she would greet him and the knights who accompanied him at the gates. Dimitri would request to stay the night at the monastery so that his guards and the horses could rest after a long journey. Byleth approves his request and sends Seteth to ensure everything is in order. She always does.

It’s the way Byleth holds Dimitri’s hand as they tour the monastery.

There’s always something new to see each time Dimitri visits. Flowers in the greenhouse, courtesy of Dedue. The restoration process of the cathedral, which was finally coming to the end after nearly two years. A newly commissioned painting of Sothis in the cathedral and of Byleth in the hallway of the office building, both of which were painted by Ignatz Victor. Even the children in the orphanage would rush to show the king how much they had grown and what new sword techniques they learned since his last visit.

Byleth and Dimitri greet everyone on their walk, spending the most time with a few of the students of the Officers Academy, kids that they had originally taught several years earlier when they were just a prince and a professor. Some of them can’t help but notice the way the couple walk closely together, feeling a vague sense of satisfaction at the scene.

It’s the way Dimitri and Byleth hold each other’s hand at dinner.

The two sit across from each other at the far end of a table. Their little corner is filled with conversation as the two share what’s been happening with their lives. Byleth speaks about the combat tournaments and the year’s students, while Dimitri tells her about recent visits from their friends.

Despite secluding themselves from everyone, they’re not alone. Seteth comes by to tell them that all the preparations are in place for them to leave tomorrow. Flayn brings food she made for Dimitri to try and see if he can taste the faintest hint of salt or sugar. Alois stops by to tell Dimitri all his new jokes. Still, the two hold each other’s hand, seeking whatever connection they can while in the public eye.

It’s the way Dimitri and Byleth disappear immediately after evening prayer.

They cling to each other, holding the other as close as possible, as if the other’s presence is the only thing keeping them present as they get lost in the pleasure brought on by the other. They remain tangled up in each other through the night, wanting to make up for lost time.

Now, Byleth rests in Dimitri’s arms. From the windows, she can see the sky beginning to lighten, giving way to dawn.

Dimitri, half asleep, kisses Byleth. “I’ve missed you so much, my beloved.”

Byleth nestles further into him arms. “I’ve missed you too, Dimitri.”

It will be past noon when Dimitri leads Byleth to the traveling party heading back to Fhirdiad. By this point, it’s to be expected of them. It’s simply the way the two are.

Y/N stares at him from her spot at their table. The Marlboro cigarette between her fingers is burning down on its own. She lost interest in smoking a few minutes ago anyway. She couldn’t care less. Damon meanwhile is slowly swaying while singing into the microphone.

“Take me away from this big bad world and agree to marry me. So we can start over again.”, his smooth and delicate voice cracks while her upper lip twitches. He sings in a manner that’s almost identical to how he used to speak to her in their bedroom. Y/N hears how her two brothers are giggling at his mistake while she quickly licks her lips. Finally, she brings the nearly finished cigarette back up to her lips. She notices the ashes on the tablecloth and quickly wipes them away, leaving behind a black stain.

“Oh we can start over again.”

A pained sigh leaves her lips as she tries her best to clean up the mess she made, however, the more she moves her hand over the fabric the bigger the stain gets. This could be used as a metaphor in a song. She makes a mental note to talk to Noel about it later.

„Oh we can start over again.“

Damon has to be joking, right? There’s no fucking way in hell he’s meaning any of that shit. Maybe he didn’t even write it. A deep and hurt scoff leaves her lips. He never even picked up the phone when she made an effort to phone him. She wanted to make up. She didn’t want to fight. She wanted to tell him that she was more than okay to go public with him; screw her stupid brothers. They’re always out and cheating on their girlfriends anyway- what do they know about love? Nothing! That’s right. Nothing.

“Y/N?”, Liam asks and wrinkles his eyebrows. His eyes are observing her hand and he tilts his head in confusion. But the second he glances at her face and notices the tears in her eyes the smile on his lips fades away:” Shit, birdie. What’s wrong with ya?”

Y/N wants Damon. She wants him so bad, it physically crushes her. God, when she looks at him she can virtually see the claw marks she has left behind on his soul. But now, what difference would any declaration of truth make? His girlfriend is pregnant. You can’t turn back time.

Y/N yawns while laying her head on her assistant's shoulder. It’s 4 am; their plane is leaving in 2 hours. As much as she adores London, she always misses the seaside the second she leaves it. “You want to grab breakfast on our way?”, Max asks and she looks up at the man with a smile on her face. “That’s why I pay you. God, you’re smart.” He only laughs at that.

“You can wait at the hall while I do the checkout.”, Max says while they both step out of the elevator. Y/N only nods while pulling her suitcase behind her.

“No, I am not leaving!” “Sir, please. You’ve been here since midnight. Don’t make us call the authorities!” “I don’t care, call ‘em. I am not leaving!”

Y/N wrinkles her forehead as she walks around the corner. Only to see Damon Albarn having a heated discussion with a staff member of the hotel. She stops dead in her tracks. What the fuck is he doing here?

Damon rolls his eyes and looks away. However, once he does he meets Y/N’s gaze. He instantly improves his posture “Sir?”, the woman in front of him asks but he merely shakes his head.

“I’ve found what I am looking for.”

My First Noel

Sitting amongst the group can still lead to a world of loneliness. I was “included” in the group, sure, but I still didn’t belong. That much was obvious. Everyone got these thoughtful, well-intentioned gifts, while I got simple, meaningless, trivial nonsense. Even my brother, the one I foolishly believed would break the mould and get something meaningful, let me down. I found my attention returning constantly to her. 

She sat in a chair closest to the fire, a blanket wrapped around herself, gifts and declarations of love surrounding her, yet none mattered; her attention was focused solely on the notebook in her hands. She would look up occasionally but nothing more than a quick glance. When she concentrates, her tongue sticks out the corner of her mouth, what I wouldn’t give to feel that tongue against mine.

Hours pass of the same things, being neglected by the group, on this, the day of supposed merriment where friends and enemies are one. I silently rise from my chair and retire to my room. Why grace them with my presence when it’s not wanted or required? Deep in my soul, I had hoped that today would be different, but it appears I was wrong again. 

I settled into my chair by the window with a book, trying to distract my brain from the overwhelming feelings of loneliness, when the faintest knock came at my door. A war raged between my head and my heart. Perhaps it was her coming to check on me? But then again, maybe it was Stark, drunkenly asking why I was no longer with them. Ultimately, my heart won out, hope sparking in my soul.

I rise from my chair before taking measured steps over to the door and pulling it open, only to see an envelope on the floor, my name scribed on the front. I know that handwriting; she was here. I quickly looked down the hallway, but I had taken too long to open the door; she was gone. 

I pick up the envelope and turn to the solace of my room, sitting down to rip it open, careful not to destroy the contents therein. There were two pieces of paper, one evidently from her sketchbook; the other was a mystery. I decided to open that one first, revealing a handwritten note.

Loki,

It hurts me to see you neglected when you deserve so much. Seeing how the others look right past you when it’s clear you need today more than anything. I’m sorry it appeared I was ignoring you, too; I promise I was not. I was actually working on your gift - you are the only one to receive a gift from me this year. It is enclosed in this envelope if you are interested. If not, do with this letter and gift as you see fit. Worldly possessions mean nothing to you; that is why I had hoped this gift would bring you joy somehow. I had hoped this view into my mind would be enough to make you feel wanted.

Over this year, I realized I have fallen so in love with you. You carry yourself the dignity and poise of a King but possess a scholar's knowledge. You have the humour of a court jester and the heart of a maiden. It is that heart of yours I have been drawn to. It’s that heart that makes me weak. If my feelings for you are mutual, meet me in the lounge at midnight once everyone is asleep. 

She had not signed the letter, but I have seen her writing many times to know who it belongs to. I draw out the second paper, opening the carefully folded parchment to reveal a detailed sketch of me; sitting in the chair, I spent a fair portion of the evening downstairs. The way she got the drape of my clothing, the sparkle of the lights in my eyes. 

A soft smile draws on my lips, holding the portrait to my chest, my heart thudding at the realization that someone cared. Someone looked at me like I mattered, like someone wanted me. The 12 chimes of midnight drew my attention. It was now or never. I swung my door open before walking towards the elevator. How long would she wait for me? Would she still be there when I got there? 

A million and one things rushed through my head when I stepped foot into the elevator, her note and her drawing clutched tightly to my chest. This was my one chance, my one opportunity to have something good, to feel wanted - I can’t mess this up. If only this damned elevator would hurry up!

12:02. 2 minutes since the designated meeting time. I round the corner into the lounge, hoping to a god more powerful than I that she would still be there. There she stood; the only light illuminating her was the tree's lights. She turned around with a brilliant smile on her perfect lips as I entered the room.

“You came…” She said softly, looking me up and down. I could feel her eyes on me; the very feeling alone set my soul ablaze.

“You asked me too,” I answer, walking towards her. It took all my willpower not to kiss her right then and there. “Thank you for this..” I add, dropping my hand from my chest and showing her the note and drawing. “This is more than I could ever ask for. For someone to see me as something more than a monster. I will cherish this drawing.”

“Did you just come here to thank me for your gift? If that’s the case, you’re welcome. I’m going to be going now.” She said, her voice broken. 

She pushed past me towards the door before I stopped her, grabbing her hand as she passed. “Dove, please don’t leave… I’m not ready to watch someone I love walk away from me. I will cherish this drawing, not because it was a gift but because you drew it. Every time I look at this, I think of the note you wrote me, how you love me. I will never find someone better for me than you, Dove. I would love to show you all of me if you would have me.”

She looks at me questioningly, “What are you saying, Loki..?”.

“My Dove, my freedom, my hope. Will you be my partner on this day, my first Earth Christmas?”

6. Currently watching: I've been rewatching S2 of The Wilds and put off rewatching the finale until a couple days ago and I'm devastated all over again. I also started From, with Harold Perrineau and it's really good so far. Mysterious and intriguing, with more gore than I was expecting.

7. Currently consuming: Coke Zero. I just can't quit it 😭

YES, I HAVE UPDATED! It's been almost a full year, which is wild. I had accidentally deleted the entire ending I had drafted out, which really put a damper on wanting to finish this. But I got over it, and we should be on track to complete this soon enough! HOWEVER, since it HAS been so long, I have created a summary so you don't have to re-read everything (unless you'd like to!) Spoilers under cut!

19 year old college student Noel Cerquetti is starting her first year at Lhaplus College of the Arts… again. 

The semester is coming to a close, and all first year music students are competing for not just the best grade in finals, but the position of pianist at the city’s yearly devil cleansing ceremony. Noel is certain she’s going to win when she realizes that her finals recording has been switched with another student. When she goes to complain to Dean Burrows, she’s instead told to withdraw from the music program entirely by Monday, or be expelled and blacklisted.

Noel decides to drink her woes away for the night. Unfortunately, Jillian has a date, so she heads back to the apartment they share with the volatile artist Spica alone. Spica warns Noel about her art project on the floor before going to her boyfriend’s for the night. Noel thinks nothing of the painted red runic circle as she sips vodka on the couch until, just before midnight, Spica’s stereo clicks on at max volume. Stumbling to get the remote to silence it, something falls off the end table and shatters—and Noel is no longer alone.

The Great Devil Caron has appeared, and is not too pleased at the first ever accidental summoning. He tells Noel he’ll let the insult slide if she’s also able to give him a reason to be there. Noel is too wary to make a demonic contract, but she explains the issue she’s having to him. When she stands up to fetch evidence of Spica’s set-up, she falls and lands directly on him—and he realizes that she doesn’t have legs.

Noel explains that she was hit by a drunk driver the previous year and ended up losing both legs. Caron immediately suspects that the accident is linked to what Noel is currently going through. He points out that Spica was almost certainly expecting that he would kill her, and thus Noel’s life is currently in danger once more. He offers to protect her and work with her to solve the mystery, but Jillian’s homecoming interrupts the discussion.

Noel wakes up the next day to Caron sitting in her bed, reading her diary. He smugly informs her that she agreed to a contract while black out drunk after having more wine with Jillian. Noel has the strange impression that he’s lying, but decides to take him at face value and work with him to find out who wants her dead, and why.

They hide in the attic in hopes of convincing Spica that she might have been successful after all. While there, they discover old yearbooks that show a pattern of dying students all in the first year piano class who had been predicted to be the next ceremonial pianist. Noel suspects that the ceremony itself is the key, and agrees to take Caron to the college library that night to search for more information.

They head over in the unusual, bitter cold at nightfall. Caron goes to break in the building when Noel is caught by her friend Fugo Dressel, who is helping his brother Oscar out by taking a security shift. Caron knocks him out and is prepared to leave him there, but Noel begs him not to, so he carries him into the library as well. 

The pair is searching for a key to the basement archives when Fugo wakes up and attacks, revealing that he’s a demon who has made a devil’s contract. He warns Noel that devils always lie and that she’s in danger—but provides a great deal of that danger himself by angrily hurling fire around the room. Oscar Dressel appears and brings an end to the fight, sending Noel and Caron to meet up with them at his house later as he prepares to hide the cause of the fires.

While waiting for the brothers to return, Noel and Caron talk. Noel realizes he was injured trying to put out the fires because she’d said she didn’t want to cause any destruction. She’s confused as to why he would do that for her, and he’s confused as to why she starts crying over it. Through this discussion, they begin to understand each other a bit better. Jillian’s phone call interrupts them, and Noel tells her where they are without thinking. Jillian declares that she’s heading over as Caron groans at more people getting involved. 

The Dressel brothers arrive on a short break in their now extended security shift. Noel explains what’s going on. Oscar tells her that the books they were looking for aren’t even in the library anymore, but had been taken to the performance hall. Fugo is less calm about the situation, and asks Noel if she actually remembers making a contract with Caron. She admits that she doesn’t, but before she can ask him what he means, he and Oscar need to return to work. 

While waiting for Jillian to arrive next, Caron admits that he is lying to Noel, but won’t explain what or why just yet. Despite this, he asks her to trust him. She says that she can’t just yet, but that she will choose to believe in him.

Jillian arrives, and Noel begins to explain what’s happening once more. Upon hearing that Noel is involved with a devil, Jillian begins to have a panic attack, which worsens when Caron appears. She faints after taking medication, and they carry her to the guest room upstairs. Noel is exhausted and knows Caron must be as well, but there’s only one guest room left. She suggests they share it, and he agrees.

While preparing for bed, Caron offers Noel his shirt to sleep in. At that moment, she realizes that she is extremely attracted to him, and that’s at least part of why she feels strangely around him. While in bed, without her prosthetic legs, she admits out loud that clearly, she does trust him. He thanks her, and after a sly comment, she realizes that he’s flirting with her. She confesses to flirting back, and the two laugh and begin to cuddle. As she falls asleep, Noel realizes she’s very happy to be with him, even though the relationship is moving so quickly.

Jillian awakens the next morning and learns that Fugo also wants to get Caron away from Noel. They decide to work together, and plan to go to the Performance Hall to find a book on devil exorcism. Jillian goes to speak to Noel and walks in on her wearing only Caron’s shirt. After an awkward conversation, Jillian leaves, and Noel heads back to bed for a little more sleep while Caron does research on her smartphone.

Jillian and Fugo head through an unusual morning fog to the Performance Hall, which is empty and in the midst of a power outage. Fugo takes a brief moment to confront Jillian about her devotion to Noel, telling her that she needs to live her own life. At first, Jillian is angry, but she starts to realize that he really cares about her as a friend and wants her to be happy. They easily find the devil tomes from the library, but Jillian realizes that she won’t be able to read any of them—they’re all written in infernal script. Fugo leaves her there to meet up with Oscar briefly and return the campus keys he’s stolen. Jillian is distracted by a strange blue and white book, but before she can touch it, Dean Burrows appears.

The Dean calmly explains to Jillian that Noel is lying to her, and that the story of an accidental summoning is nonsense. He tells her that Noel is in great danger from Caron, but that he considers it his duty as Dean to help save Noel. Jillian is convinced, and sends text messages to Noel asking her to take a certain path to the Performance Hall. Once done, Dean Burrows takes her phone and smugly admits that he’s lied about everything. He tells Jillian he needs her to perform a ceremony for him that night, and that he’s taking Noel as a hostage to be sure she behaves before he locks her in the room.

Jillian panics again, but this time faints from hyperventilating rather than her medication. She has a strange dream of resting on a large man’s lap as he strokes her hair and reassures her that her mistakes are not insurmountable. When she wakes up, the door has mysteriously opened and Fugo is there. She tells him of Burrow’s plan to attack Noel, and they hurry out to try and find her before it’s too late.

Noel and Caron are heading to the Performance Hall when Noel is grazed by a bullet and Caron is injured. They manage to mislead their attacker, and end up in the Performance Hall as a sudden thunderstorm hits. Without thinking, Noel kisses Caron. He heals Noel, but as payment, he bites her, leaving an affectionate mark. They hear piano playing upstairs, and head to the ballroom where they meet with Professor Becker.

Professor Becker explains to Noel that Caron was responsible for her accident. He had made a contract with the driver that made him unable to make his own choices, and Professor Becker had ordered him to hit Noel with his car. Noel denies Professor Becker’s reading of the situation and scolds her for using Caron’s devil’s morals to dodge her own responsibility in the man’s death. Professor Becker then explains her own contract with Caron that had removed her emotions, but Noel is still able to declare that she trusts Caron regardless of what he’s done in his past. The professor goes on to explain that the pair don’t even have a contract, and that Caron has been using her to find the tomes with his summoning circle inside. He confesses that it’s true, but denies her allegations that he is planning on destroying and discarding Noel. Noel once again makes the choice to trust him.

Spica appears with a mind controlled Ribelio and an electric weapon that is able to knock Caron out. They take Noel’s phone, and Professor Becker leaves, telling Spica to do whatever she wants with them as long as Noel stays alive. Spica tortures them for a while, and admits to Noel that she’s jealous of her because she doesn’t understand who she is or where she came from. She continues to shock Caron, and orders Ribelio to tear out Noel’s eye. At her second order, to pull off an arm, Ribelio is able to break the mind control briefly, and while Spica is dealing with him, Caron moves to cover Noel with his own body. He apologizes for not being able to get them out of the situation, and she tells him that she loves him. He says he doesn’t understand why, everything is moving so quickly, but she is everything to him.

Jillian and Fugo arrive back at the Performance Hall due to another sudden, intense storm. They’re able to charge Fugo’s phone at a battery stand. He has received a message from Noel’s phone. They’re both immediately suspicious, and when they hear a loud crash, Fugo heads to investigate while telling Jillian to call Oscar as soon as the phone has enough battery.

Fugo arrives in the ballroom and is quickly attacked by Ribelio and Spica. His opinion on Caron flips completely as he realizes he’s using his own badly hurt body to protect Noel. Jillian appears and is able to hit Spica with Fugo’s phone. Oscar appears, knocking Ribelio out, and orders Jillian, Noel and Caron escape.

The trio head to the local hotel, which is in the off-season, and set up in an empty room on the top floor. Jillian and Caron argue over him needing a price to heal Noel, and she suggests he take it from her, instead. Caron refuses, stating that Jillian belongs to someone else, and asks her if she’s aware of who stands behind her. Unsure what he means, Jillian leaves to get supplies.

Caron heals Noel, but is unable to save her eye. He tells her that she can pay in installments, and hints that he’d like her to kiss him again. She scolds him that it’s unfair as she wanted to do that anyway. They’re able to discuss Caron’s reasons for searching for the tomes to find a new kind of person to summon him instead of the same boring requests. He admits what actually happened their first night together, and how her first offhand comment of “I need help” and wariness to make an actual contract, followed by a later drunken ‘thank you,’ showed that she wasn’t like his usual contractors—exactly what he was looking for. They bond for a bit before taking a romantic bath together.

Meanwhile, Oscar and Fugo interview a now-conscious Ribelio. He explains how he came to be under Spica’s mind control, and that the woman isn’t a devil, but isn’t quite human, either, having strange powers and growing up to an adult in a terrifyingly short amount of time. He informs them that Spica and Burrows have some kind of relationship, and that he’s the reason they’re now both college students, but that he has no idea what they have planned.

Jillian is engaged in some serious self loathing during her supply run in the cold rain, finally admitting to herself that Caron really does love Noel, and that her feelings towards her will never be requited. She’s drowning in misery when the mysterious stranger from her dream appears again, gently chiding her to warm up. She obediently gets coffee and hands him some as well, which he drinks, revealing that he truly is there and is not a dream. He begins to escort her back to the hotel as she asks him questions, and unexpectedly says his name; revealing him as the Eternal Devil Caesar, who says he is there to save her life as Head Security Officer Jino and others approach.

At the hotel, Noel has a vivid nightmare that she has committed a devil summoning, and her limbs are ripped off. She realizes that in her dream, Caron was the one to do it, and decides not to tell him the details as he comforts her. The Dressel brothers have arrived. Oscar discusses the strange weather and points out that his radio is no longer working, but Fugo interrupts, pointing out that Jillian has now been gone for three hours. At that moment, there’s a knock, and they open the door to reveal Jillian and Caesar.

Jillian helps Noel get dressed as she quickly explains how she ran into Caesar, and how, despite him being a devil who knows far more than he should, she’s completely unafraid of him. They join everyone in the main room and begin to discuss what has happened so far.

Caesar explains what he knows of Dean Burrow’s plans. He tells them that Jillian and Noel are being targeted specifically because of an innate talent they have that gives their piano playing the power to summon or cleanse devils. He offers Noel sheet music that can expel all devils in Lhaplus, which she adamantly refuses, and says that she won’t lose Caron again. Everyone is confused by her phrasing, but when she tries to deny it as having simply misspoke, Caesar explains that it is not the case, and that Noel is beginning to remember things that she should not.

He tells them that this is not their first meeting, and that, in another world, Noel had summoned Caron when tricked into a contract, and that Caron had removed her limbs as payment. Noel begins to flash back to her nightmare, and starts to have a panic attack as she loses feeling in her hands. Caesar is able to stop her panic attack as he had for Jillian and continues to explain their first meeting. Noel had been seeking vengeance on Burrows in that world, and to stop her, Jillian had summoned Caesar. He explains how curious he had found Jillian’s choice to give up her five senses to save Noel, and how strong Noel and Caron, who had been the one to mutilate her, had become together. He tells them he had abandoned his contract with Jillian because of that, and should have been destroyed for it.

Instead, Caesar found himself wandering from world to world, always observing Jillian. In one world, Jillian called out his name as she was dying, despite having no reason to know of him in it. He is unexpectedly moved by her death, and decides to begin interfering in the next worlds to prevent it. He explains that he is not all powerful, and that in using too much power at times, he’s almost been destroyed. He warns Noel, who casually wonders aloud what a peaceful life with Caron would look like, to stop, because she is in danger of causing her mind to overload with memories that aren’t truly hers. Fugo interrupts, and that’s where chapter 36 begins!

Noel Desertjewel Headcanons:

Not much is known about her personality since she has a constant poker face and dead tone of voice when she speaks, but if you ask about her from her family, they’ll say that despite her demeanor, she does have a bit of a caring side to her, but whatever you do… don’t make her angry because you will end up regretting it

Her unique magic is called “Soul Thief” It allows her to take a target’s soul out of their body, but don’t worry, the target isn’t completely dead, but rather in an unconscious state once Noel extracts the soul. Once extracted, it can’t leave Noel's side until she decides to return them to their body or if it’s a soul searching for a new host, they are either banished to the nether world, or moved on to the afterlife. The only time she uses this spell is during exorcisms, but on rare occasions, she’ll use her unique magic on a living person that isn’t possessed. Once the soul returns to their body, they won’t remember their soul being extracted by her

She has 6 family members who are also attending DCA, Evelyn her twin sister who’s living in Glastanzerin, Sapphire her older sister who’s living in Dragonstone, Prism her cousin living in the same dorm as her twin, Ruby her cousin who’s a living gem living in the same dorm as Sapphire, Emerald her cousin who’s also a living gem living in Magiaoasis, Amethyst her cousin who’s also a living gem living in the same dorm as her twin, and Pearl her cousin who’s a living gem living in Coquille

Her and Evelynn are nicknamed “The Sun and The Moon” due to the twins differences in personality and interests

She also has 2 brothers attending NRC, Dillion her older brother who’s a 3rd year living in Octavinelle and Austin her brother who’s a couple months older than her and twin who’s a 1st year living in Heartslabyul

After her, Evelyn, and Austin started attending their assigned magic schools, the family decided that it would be a good idea for her little sister, Opal to stop by and visit sometimes to spend some quality time with her siblings, however, upon hearing the news, they all agreed that Opal should only go into Futterwacken to visit rather than spend the night due to the chaotic environment of the dorm since all the doors there could end up making her little sister get lost once watchful eyes are off her

She doesn’t talk much and often has a habit of unintentionally scaring those around her if she does due to how quiet she normally is. The only other time she will talk aside from the unintentional jumpscares are when she snaps which is very rare and only takes a special kind of person to push her over the edge

Her pets are 5 tarantulas she named “Neon” who’s a Blue Brazilian Dwarf Beauty Tarantula, “Rosy” a Antilles Pinktoe Tarantula, “Midnight” a Peacock Tarantula, “Tangerine” an Orange Baboon Tarantula, and “Zebra” an Indian Ornamental Tarantula along with a black cat named “Moonlight”, a friesian horse named “Shadow”, a venus flytrap named “Chompy” and a severed griffon claw named “Blade” she found in the mystery shop. Her tarantulas have mini headbands on them with a jewel that protects them from getting stepped on

She used to have 6 tarantulas, but unfortunately her Greenbottle Blue tarantula, Cyanide, was removed from her shoulder during an evening walk by 2 guys that decided to gang up on her. She tried to get him back, but one of the guys restrained her while she’s struggling while the other dropped Cyanide to the ground and stomped on it. She has a carved wooden box where Cyanides remains are and would often pay her respects to him along with her 5 surviving tarantula’s

Despite being a student in the Futterwacken dorm, she dislikes living there due to all the chaos running about the dorm along with some of the students having weird or bizarre behavior which has led her to either spend her time in the school library, in one of her other family members dorms, or helping out Sam at the Mystery shop at NRC to clear her mind from the chaos

Sometimes after she helps Sam at his shop, he would ask her to be her delivery girl and give some goods he has reserved for MG Genie while she makes her way back to DCA’s campus

The only thing she likes about Futterwacken is that she can wear a completely black uniform with certain colors being accents unlike the other dorms since she’s not a fan of wearing colors unless the color is a darker shade or completely black

She carries 2 pocket watches on her, the one placed on her collar is the one that’s issued to Futterwacken students in place of rings while the one placed on the skirt of her dress is one that alerts her when someone’s possessed by a malevolent spirit or entity{And no, it doesn’t alert her if there’s an overblot}

She joined Gardening Research club to mostly research how to take care of other carnivorous plants that way Chompy can have a friend one day

She has 3 claw like scratch marks across her back from when she was little and she protected her father from an evil entity that wanted to possess him

Despite having a strong dislike towards bright colors, she’s kinda learned to tolerate them due to some of her family having favored them, but on occasion if there’s to many bright colors, she would often retreat to her room or confined space to recover

On her side of the room rather than a regular bed, she has a coffin bed for her to use in case she needs a break from the chaos in Futterwacken

Despite just joining the academy, she's already a jack of all trades at every subject

Terror ensues as villagers hunt for a witch on the run.  As a Zambian girl’s supernatural powers grow, so do complications with the organization that can help her control them. In summary, 5 books, 49 movies, 64 tv shows of varying levels of engagement and 27 cultural experiences.

Easily the least number of books I've read in a single year since I could read. Mostly because it's hard and tiring for me to read with bad eyes and spending long days reading with my job. Interesting that I'm being drawn more to non-fiction than fiction these days.

Wow I watch a lot of tv and film. I really enjoyed Fresh off the Boat and multiple seasons of Below Deck this year. The right balance of entertaining and easy to wind down to and knit to after work.

I feel like I don't gig anywhere near as much as I used to, and that makes me sad. But I do like that I'm still doing on average a cultural thing every two weeks. Less gigs, more other types of culture and I'm definitely throwing lots of support behind the local culture scene.

No offense to the Lupins, but Kuroba Kaito will walk circles around them AND the Patos. If he wants to steal something he's gonna get it. Especially since I think they'll hesitate to transform to fight a civilian, while he won't hesitate to throw everything he's got at them.

That also means a certain pint-sized detective probably won't be too far away... and knowing him, he's gonna end up pulling everyone into a murder mystery that would distract all parties from the heist...

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964)

In 1964, producer Paul L. Jacobson made this B movie in two weeks for a measly $200,000. It promptly tanked. In 1978, the film was listed in the book “The Fifty Worst Films of All Time.” But since then, a la “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” it has become a cult classic. Made popular by “Mystery Science Theater 3000,” the movie about a Martian scheme to kidnap St. Nick so he can distribute gifts to alien kids is so laughably bad that it’s perfect for midnight viewing on Christmas Eve. What to look forward to: the screen debut of actress and singer Pia Zadora, a troop of unitard-wearing spacemen sporting plastic stun guns and the particularly earworm-y theme song, “Hooray for Santy Claus!”
