That is the most devastating / hilarious thing and also so representative of the actual show, you were misled and manipulated into something you wanted and thought was going to happen and in the end it was out of reach and doomed from the start (although I absolutely consider tomgreg to be canon given... everything about their dynamic lmfao)

I hadn't put together how much it made thematic sense when it comes to the show though, so thank you for that! I'd realized during S1 TomGreg was in fact Not A Thing™️ but that honestly just made me love that beloved fanvid even more.
