being in prison for the last couple of years was enough for him. xander had gotten out on good behavior, but that was only because he used his powers to make the guards think he was the ideal citizen. finally moving out on his own was a fun time, but seeing the handsome young man from next door was proving to be tempting again. xander went out to get his mail and he didn't even bother looking away from them, clearly checking them out. "hey," he wasn't just in prison, he was in solitary confinement. this was probably the closest he had gotten to someone in years. "do you have a couple of minutes? i'm new in the area and could use some help with something." a feigned innocent smile washed on his face. "i'm xander by the way," he grabbed the man with his left hand to extend the other to the man.

“Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson” Season Four Premiere

Yes, I know. This is another celebrity podcast. The two factors that limit the number of celebrity podcasts is that podcasting is a lot harder than it sounds, and sadly some celebrities don't have much to say after their ten minutes in the chair on late-night TV with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, or Stephen Colbert.

That doesn't mean that all celebrity podcasts are terrible. Sure, the ratio is high, but some have found a niche and use it well. The Smartless Media guys -- Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes -- are an example of celebrity podcasting done well. Then we have Goop, Snooki & Joey, any Kardashian show, and any show where the host is only semi-famous for hawking stuff on Instagram or TikTok.

Last week, iHeartPodcasts announced the return of actors Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson in season four of Sibling Revelry, which started on January 8th.

iHeart says: "The hilarious duo of sibling hosts is ready to take listeners on an even more amusing and engaging journey through the joys and challenges of family ties. Listen to the season four trailer here." In fairness to iHeart, I went and listened to eight episodes over three seasons and thoroughly enjoyed the show. 

Here's why. I've always enjoyed both Hudsons as actors. They're versatile -- comedy, drama, movies, TV -- and they don't take themselves too seriously. Kate Hudson has recently become a spokesperson for the MyFitnessPal App -- Big Changes start with Small Steps fitness plan.

And, the Hudson siblings seem to know Kurt Russell, or better known as Snake Plissken in Escape from New York and Escape From L.A. In addition, the Hudson's have a nice gimmick for their show -- siblings interviewing other siblings. Again, I'll let iHeart take over: "Over their first three seasons, Kate and Oliver have captivated listeners with a collection of entertaining and inspirational stories, featuring a diverse group of guests, ranging from the Kardashian-Jenners, the Hiltons, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush, Stella and Mary McCartney and the Haim sisters to brothers Chad and Rob Lowe, Ron and Clint Howard and Matthew and Mike “Rooster” McConaughey, and other cultural icons including Tony Hawk, Jimmy Kimmel, Amy Schumer, Rob Gronkowski and many others, along with their siblings." My favorite episodes included the McCartneys, the Howard brothers, and the Lowe bros. In the new season of Sibling Revelry, Kate and Oliver Hudson (who also produce the podcast; iHeart wants you to know that) - will be joined by celebrity friends and real-life and fictional family members including the “Brady Bunch” brothers Barry Williams, Chris Knight and Mike Lookinland; Joel and Benji Madden; Jonathan and Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block; Matthew, Joey and Andrew Lawrence; identical twins Brittany and Briana Deane Salyers and their husbands, identical twins Josh and Jeremy Salyers; among many others. According to iHeart, Sibling Revelry will also include bonus “Revel In It” episodes focusing on one-on-one interviews with thought leaders, authors, motivational speakers, and groundbreakers who inspire Kate and Oliver Hudson, such as Gabby Bernstein, Jenna Jameson and Roberto Canessa, to name a few. “Sibling Revelry with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson” does have value for listeners because it explores the sibling bond, family dynamics, and universal tales of what it’s like to grow up with brothers and sisters. 

Check out Sibling Revelry, not so much for the celebrity factor but for the compelling discussion of sibling dynamics. After all, celebrity feuds among siblings are among the most bitter and the saddest -- Joan Fontaine and Olivia DeHavilland, The Jonas Brothers, Noel and Liam Gallagher, and, of course, Thor and Loki.

It's possible that the Hudson siblings can help with resolving family conflict, which is a life problem we all deal with, whether we want to admit it or deny it.

The Noel Diary (2022)

This one was dramatic, but like, in an awkward way.

Jake Turner (Justin Hartley) is a famous author just off a book tour who gets a call about his recently deceased mother's estate. Jake had been estranged from his mother for several years and from his father for even more. But Jake takes his sole companion, a dog named Ava, to his childhood home to clean out his mother's hoarder house to sell it. His neighbor, Ellie (Bonnie Bedelia), tries to convince him to talk to his father. Jake refuses because his dad left after his older brother Benji (Baylen D. Bielitz) died at 7 years old (Jake was 4) trying to hang an ornament on a tree outside during a snowstorm and never tried to contact Jake or check on him. It is unclear if Jake's dad ever knew about Jake's mom's mental health issues and hoarding problem, but Jake for sure blames him anyway.

Rachel Campbell (Barrett Doss) shows up with Jake's childhood home address looking for her birth mom. She was adopted, and her records were sealed, so she doesn't have a name, just a last known address. I fully expected this to be long lost half siblings or something, but don't worry, it's not. Ellie remembers a very young, live-in nanny from before Jake's family fell apart, but she doesn't know her name. She tries again to get Jake to talk to his father by giving Rachel his father’s location and getting Rachel in on convincing Jake. It works.

Thus ensues a road trip between Rachel and Jake who learn a lot about each other, especially about Rachel's relationship with her fiance Alan (Mike Donovan) and how great it is, but Rachel is very much trying to convince herself that she's happy, that she's doing the right thing because it looks good on paper, that she's not falling for Jake, etc. They do get to Scott Turner's (James Remar) house and Rachel convinces Jake to hear him out, so Jake finds out that his dad did try to contact him but his mom kept it from him, and also the married name and address of Rachel's birth mom.

The drama in this movie is a lot. It makes sense when you think about two people finding their long lost parent and then also falling in love with each other but they can't be together (or can they?) for reasons. Ava is everyone's emotional rock in this movie, including the viewer. The music wasn't anything that stood out. The acting was just bad enough to be a little awkward at times, but mostly it was tolerable. This is also a movie that is only tangentially about Christmas because it happens during the holiday season. Overall, 2 stars.

Noel's eyes widened slightly in surprise at the question, his coffee cup held against his lips for a moment too long as he processed what he'd just been asked. He didn't expect it from Benji, but found the approach rather endearing and humorous, so the tattooed man didn't think much of it. "Well—" He began with a soft chuckle, looking over at the younger man fondly. "Aside from tattooing, I paint." Among other things, but his criminal record was best left for another conversation.

"What about you? I know barely anything about you, friend."

Ok style by Taylor swift how they are basically the perfect couple. Mason/benji (I was thinking more benji) so y/n and benji are on and off a lot and on this night reader needs a lift home after a night out and she calls benji to pick her up and once they are in the car they start talking like “it’s been a while since i have heard from you” and he says how busy he has been with life until y/n speaks up and says “I heard that you have been out with some other girl” because it was big headline which included her name (probs something like ‘Ben chilwell out with some girl that isnt Y/n L/n) and he says yeah I have “but I can’t stop thinking about you” and tells her how he loves her classic red lip and how it always looks kissable and she tells him how much she loves that slicked back white t-shirt and when someone like the daily mail sees them together they post “they never go out of style”

Basically y/n is Anaïs Gallagher the daughter of Noel Gallagher so she goes on this podcast and gets questions about her life and talks how she went to this posh school but she didn’t think she was as important because they got money from her dad making music while the other kids there where there because their parents had old money and says how she went to school with Brooklyn Beckham and that was a good thing because it meant she want the centre of attention she also talks about her boyfriend and how he’s a bit older than her (maybe like a certain Ruben Dias) and how he didn’t know who she was until they started dating because they first met each other by bumping into each other in Manchester and then jokes about how he didn’t really know who her dad was until they started dating properly and asked about him (sorry if this makes like no sense I just rewatched that podcast episode and think it would make a good story)

1) yeee i love that idea! and at first it be her friends telling her not to run back to her ex and to cut off all ties with him but she always feel this ounce of want to go back with him everytime he asks but then she starts seeing all the red flags and finally tells him that they arent getting back together - it be like a fic of a healing process of the breakup and the letting go and the sudden relief u feel when u get rid of a miserable part of ur life

Like Van absolutely loving it, chaos, helpless in the kitchen but u know, chatting away to everybody, probs flirting with Paul Hollywood, giving it his all. He's just happy to be there.

The only thing bondys ever baked before is hash cakes. The challenge is not hash cakes. He's chill though, cig hanging out his mouth, spare cig tucked behind his ear, singing away Frank sinatra impressions as he free pours whiskey into his mixture for flavour. Even Noel fucking fielding thinks the man is weird.

Larry shitposts the lot of them by turning up at the end of the challenge with a box of jaffa cakes. Slams em down on the table presents his hand to Paul Hollywood and offers him the handshake.

Benji probably blows up the fridge or the microwave. Can't get his head around the proving drawer. Is trying his best. Somehow manages to pull it off at the end? Idk maybe fridges and microwaves weren't an important part of the recipe.

Bob is just watching the rest of them wide eyed, kind of amazed by the whole thing, amazed or horrified who knows. Anyway he's quite good at baking, actually he's very good at baking, wacks out a beautiful banana loaf, icing and all. Everybody loves him he's so shy he's so sweet his banana bread is actually good enough to eat, which is more than can be said about anybody else's.
