"C'mon, Ardyn," he pleaded, looking over his shoulder to give his uncle his best puppy dog eyes. "The weather's good and it's a Saturday. I don't wanna listen to some boring old tutor drone on about things that happened before I was born."

He'd known that skipping his history lesson was wrong, but he went to school all week! It wasn't fair that he had to have lessons at home, too.

"Don't make me go."

Regis had asked him to find the little prince. Because the boy liked the old immortal, and because the king trusted him more with finding the child then anyone else. He agreed easily enough, though he had no plans to actually return him to his responsibilities. Why should he when they can enjoy themselves instead?

"Well, fortunate on such a pretty day I found you!" He said with a mischievous grin. "How about we go to that little nature park on the edge of the city, there is some lovely hiking, and even lovelier fishing ponds."

For context, allow me to show you the summary for this - While fighting in a gruelling battle, Noctis falls into stasis but is forced to push his limits and warp in order to save Prompto's life. The Crystal is not happy with him, and wants him to suffer. And suffer he will.

This is one of the first Fanfics I read of Kalterna and my gosh. I GUSH!!! It's so awesome! I wanted to make this as a sort of tribute! I really donno where I would be without amazing fanfic writers out there who are literally saving lives. I'm so grateful!

Just thinking about being in his bed, absolutely sticky and a little gross, post sex bliss in full effect as you lay there trying to catch your breath. Since 2017 when I played this Ffxv and watched the movie I fell into this random ship and I can’t let her go. They never meet, they never speak but I’m weak and it seems like a fun match

Ardyn listened politely as Noctis rambled out all his thoughts and plans. Entering the Citadel rooftop hardly seemed a caper worthy of sneaking, but then he knew everyone could be a bit protective of the prince. Even more so now there was a younger one that was also a foreigner.

“Yeah, that shield seems to block out almost everything sometimes,” Ardyn agreed. “Maybe next time we should sneak out to Leide.”

He laughed at his suggestion, knowing just how much panic Noctis leaving the city would illicit. It wasn’t entirely a joke of course, he missed being able to come and go as he pleased, like he used to in Altissia.

“Maybe there will at least be a couple for us to see, right?”

"Iggy's kind of a worrier." An understatement to say the least. Maybe the most obvious statement that's ever made it way past his mouth, but still.

"So I didn't exactly tell him about this plan." Noctis admitted, taking a quick look around before holding the door open for Ardyn. "I mean, he should congratulate me for learning guard rotations and which doors are easiest to get to and all that, but I'll probably just get a lecture." Not that it was enough to stop him, obviously.

No, Noctis had other plans. Or, the one: simple, harmless. Silly, a little. Once they were out in the garden proper, he was very quiet about unfolding the blanket he'd brought along, laying it on the grass. "Okay, I don't know if we're gonna see anything because of the city lights, but supposedly there's a meteor shower up there."

"Dad is taking this way too seriously," he mumbled as he flopped down on his couch. He was essentially under lockdown right now. He'd been allowed to stay at his apartment under the condition that his uncle remained with him, and even more Crownsguard patrolled the area than usual. "It was just a threat letter. Probably just people messing around."

"Your father worries about you, and even if it were just a threat letter, he wants to be careful," Ardyn said.

Ardyn was in the kitchen, watching the boy from across the room. He knew it was frustrating, no kid wanted to be cooped up for any reason. But this was much more than what Noctis put it down as, though the prince might not know it. Ardyn had seen enough stirrings in the wrong places to encourage the response. He'd even suggested just putting the boy in his own apartment, in case of a bomb.

He wasn't going to tell Noctis that though. No need to worry the prince if they managed to solve it without a fuss.

"How about we just try to enjoy ourselves hmm?" He added. "You can show me how to play one of those Television Games you like so much."
