Published within In Powder and Crinoline, sub-titled “Old Fairy Tales Retold by Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch”, in 1913. This fine watercolour was originally reproduced opposite page 52 and is one of the 26 colour plates. The illustration accompanies the tale of “Felicia or The Pot of Pinks”.

Okay, I need to rant about a minor detail in The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself for a short moment...
... I'm sure a lot of people noticed this too but I just need to talk about Gabriel's coloured fingertips !!!
Like usually when witches are shown with this really cool detail of coloured fingertips it's a really dark shade or often black (p.ex. Wanda in the mcu) and this indicates evil and all that stuff. But Gabriel...
... Gabriel has these soft turquoise fingertips, almost pastel-like and I just LOVE THIS SO MUCH. It shows: sure his magic does affect his appearance but it's nothing bad but rather beautiful and light. And it fits his personality so much.

Forsooth of all art things wild this is probably one of the wildest🔥 Specifically wanted to go overboard and unhinged with splashing the colours, electric pink and teal cyans going so well together. The final version is all aristocratic neatness with lines and details, but this one — this is pure unbridled feeling💫

I just saw a video of a toddler clutching his father's shirt who had died while in his arms. The man was still cradling his baby tenderly, refusing to let go.
Not sure why that one broke me. This is just what my entire TL has been like every waking hour the last three weeks.
Honestly just want the whole of the West to be wiped off the face of the earth at this point.

Don't drink! cried out the little Princess, springing to her feet; "I would rather marry a gardener!"
