Okay but can we PLEASE talk about how no hextech au Powder has a lock of her hair dyed pink, Vi's pink, a tribute to her sister to keep her close?? Because it made me physically sick and I haven't been okay since -
#something about how her hair holds memories in each universe but in a different way...#in the main timeline it's her braids#her hair that she's never cut that holds the touch of her sister still#of everyone she's loved and lost#heavy weighing her down and tying her up shaped by pain both hers and silcos#and here it's short and light and allowed to be cut off and buried and grown again#but it holds a touch of her sister still#her sister's colour#that she will always keep with her#and dyeing hair needs to be done over and over so it doesn't fade#so it's an active effort she'll keep making to keep vi alive in her heart#meanwhile growing out hair so long is more of the lack of an action#the lack of cutting it of letting it go#instead letting the pain grow and fester#idk this is such a perfect way to show this powder and who she's become#light and free not held back by her past but actively making a choice to hold onto the one she loves from it#jinx#jinx arcane#arcane#arcane season 2#arcane spoilers#ekko arcane#ekkojinx#vi arcane#no hextech au#powder arcane#timebomb

God ok i spent an hour on this got frustrated and then realised i DONT give a shit and dont need to finish it but like does anyone get the vision? anyone?
#I kept the hair gradient but changed the hairstyle a little cus its fuck ugly#My vision was dark outerwear concealing light innerwear i.e. the dark coat and light shirt#bc well thats what creme brulee is. hehe#w more sharp edges to reference how the shell of creme brulee splinters but i dont think i sold that too well#also took heavy inspo from mint chocos design bc i thought itd be fun as theyre both musicians so might have similar performance outfits#I think a third colour like green would help as an accent like how its often garnished with mint leaves etc. or powdered sugar#Idk im not a pro designer iand fwiw i dont think this designs really salvageable i just wanted to try

This fine watercolour was originally reproduced opposite page 52 and is one of the 26 colour plates. The illustration accompanies the tale of “Felicia or The Pot of Pinks”. The verse is as follows: “List, ah, list to the zephyr in the grove! / Where beneath the happy boughs / Flora builds her summerhouse / Whist! ah, whist while the cushat tells his love”. (x)

if you melt chocolate into your chai does that make it a grimy-chai (like a dirty chai but no coffee) or a spiced hot chocolate
#occurred to me during my experiments of making drinks match skintones#im able to get darker tones with the vegan chai powder than the plain one#while the vanilla chai is slightly yellower and more saturated#also using caramilk instead of white chocolate to lighten gives it a more realistic colouration#i havent experimented much with alternative milks for this but i am excited to see what the warm off-whites will do#since cow milk is so desaturated (colour wise)#also i might try source some other kind of syrups than the strawberry#since its a pinkish red - not quite magenta and i want a truer or at least warmer red for experimentation#also might try to source a blue (blueberry?) syrup or find my green (lime) syrup i got from the bakery#- to see if i can create bruise colours#on a side note if i can find two different ways to cause the same colour change that'll be amazing so i can then work around#-taste preferences or just flavour profiles clashing#anyway uh#thumbs up emoji#plygnt

#my art#artists on tumblr#the legend of korra#original characters#I have not figured out a tag system yet so for now this is all they’re getting#their names are liba and abyan and I’m very much obsessed :)#they’re the children of two of our other newest OCs. Himman and Summiya#the latter of whom just happens to be Zaheer’s older sister#but he ran away from home years before these two were born so he most likely isn’t even aware of their existence#I mean. I’m sure he suspects his sisters had children. but that’s the extent of what he knows#anyway#quite a few headcanons came to mind as I was drawing so I’m gonna type them out while I can still function#(haven’t slept for two nights in a row. I’m starting to doubt whether I’m actually alive or not)#Liba is older by about a year but once they grow up a little it’s barely noticeable and people assume they’re twins#over time they stop bothering to correct them because really. they’re so close they might as well be#they were both burn with port wine stain birthmarks on their faces. much to their mother’s dismay#she has a whole perfectionism complex and needed her children to reflect that to maintain the family image#thus they were taught how to hide the marks early on. but the powder makes them constantly sneeze#liba is very self conscious about it bc of what her mother put in her head. Abyan less so bc while he’s expected to be perfect#his future doesn’t depend on his looks. he always tries to comfort his sister whenever she spirals too deep. no matter that she’s older#when no one is around to hear he calls her Lili <3 it annoyed her at first so she dubbed him Yanyan in retaliation#but over time they both grew to love the nicknames and now use them unironically#they’re the ultimate partners in crime. their goal? gaining as much freedom from their mother as possible#and sooner or later they will manage to do so permanently. which will make Summiya fall apart. but that is currently Kat’s domain#speaking of. hi Kat. I know you’ve already seen this in pencil but look! I coloured them!!#the birthmarks were both kinda annoying and rather fun to do. maybe I’ll change them later. I was too tired to look at refs so I improvised#and there’s no detail in clothing since again. 0 energy whatsoever. but once I refine their full body designs I shall go all out#that reminds me I need to go collect my new sketchbook. might do it on the way home from the store#okay I’m getting distracted. is this my very unsubtle way of trying to influence Kat to write that Summiya fic?#maybe. maybe not. you can’t prove anything 😁

cauldron upgrade!
#i wanted to make a 'better' cauldron#to remove the manual mechanism thing#but when i made the grinder upgrade i couldnt decide on a cauldron one#however after more thought I decided the best upgrade would be to let players add all their powder#and then have an easier way to pick the 3 options for their magic mud#rather than manually dragging in powders each time#i also changed it so the visuals show the mushrooms as thats easier to find what you're after#vs the coloured powders which are mostly the same#even tho they have little species indicators#should make for a nice upgrade when the player finds it#mudborne#game development#indie game development#frogs#pixel art
