A MADNA style ballad reflecting the bittersweet nature of love. This song in particular goes closely together with sweet dream.

According to interviews, when Takashi was writing the music he knew the lyrics would be something incredible. He wanted people to focus on and be drawn to the lyrics of the song rather than the track itself. Rio also said he had the same feeling of wanting the song to stand out and so was conscious of that when playing the drums. While keeping the volume very minimal, he dared to include some of THE MADNA's fastest drumming phrases.

The interviewer mentioned they feel like this song breaks new grounds for THE MADNA. Ryota said perhaps that’s because of its mature/adult side. As they are getting older, they want to express things that they can only express at their current age. They hoped the audience would get the sense of the band extending themselves and their abilities further than they ever have before.

世界線 World lines: Upon doing some research, I found that world lines are connected to the theory of relativity. Albert Einstein once wrote: “People like us who believe in physics know that the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion. Time, in other words, he said, is an illusion.“

Through his discovery, Einstein showed that space and time are intertwined. He also showed that gravity is a curving or warping of space rather than an invisible force that attracts objects to one another. The basic idea is that just as gravity can stretch or warp space, it can also dilate time. So it seems that a world line is a time-like curve in spacetime. It’s the unique path that an object has as it travels through both space and time.

In science fiction movies they often base time travel off this; more specifically, time travel into the future. The Japanese word, 世界線 is also used to refer to different worlds or parallel worlds.

Therefore with this in mind, by lightly analyzing the end verse perhaps you could say that the two of them are searching for the world and the future that they can be together in. Although the end inevitably seems to draw near - they were so desperately trying to find a way to change the future. Their love forever eternalized inside a sweet dream.

(I couldn't find the kanji or romaji lyrics for this anywhere, so I used Veed to make a transcript of the Japanese audio and translated it with DeepL Translate; it only heard some of the lines and there are definitely errors. Then I tried to type some of what I heard into Google translate and got a few lines that translated into english. Please tell me if you have a better translation.)

the art book does have a key for both joilant and volk's scripts but there's a few inconsistencies and errors and the translations and transliterations.

this is the original page and the romanisations are all messed-up. it may not be obvious if you don't know how to read japanese but i know how to read japanese and i am endlessly confused and annoyed by how this was even allowed.

anyways, this is an edit with some corrections, based on the original japanese text.

the joilant script works a bit like both katakana and romaji.

except it doesn't, because then it would probably have "v" ("v" can be written in japanese kana; in fact, it's used in the phantomilian lyrics of stepping wind)

the original example of the joilant script provided with the key is… mildly inconsistent. it uses smaller versions of vowel characters too, where they would be in some forms of romanised japanese—except for the "we/u~e ウェ" in "werukamu/u~erukamu ウェルカム". which. why???????

i have two different versions of romanisation there, by the way, because both are relevant: the first version romanisation (the one without the tildes) is written more like how it would be spoken, whilst the second version of romanisation (the one with the tildes) is more like how it's written in kana.

note how the original page's romanisations are vastly inconsistent, and sometimes incorrect. like, i'm not fluent in japanese, but. that's obviously wrong

I’ve posted the romaji lyrics for the main theme in my other blog, but I figured I’d make a separate post for it as well anyway.

I call it the Main Theme because it’s a song that’s sung in every musical thus far (twice in Op1!), and the song title is actually whatever the title of the musical is. E.g. In Op2, this song’s title is “Moriarty the Patriot Op2″. Each musical’s version is unique in that the Op.2 and Op.3 versions have little snippets for the unique side characters in that musical, as translated here.

As with any other song from Op.2, I love this song a LOT. I think this song summarizes the plot of YuuMori very well. Plus, there’s a point where SherLiam harmonize with one another so in my book that’s already A+++++++.

In comparison to Kana’s subs of Op.1, I translate a line: Ito wo taguriagete. It means “Pull the thread”, which could refer to two things. One, it may be referring to the single spider’s thread/string that hangs in hell as one way of salvation from the tortures of hell. Two, it might be referring to Sherlock pulling the thread of all the puzzles William has given him to arrive at the truth. If it’s the previous, I like to believe that William’s thread is Sherlock, his saving grace from the punishment he’s put on his own shoulders. ;A;

Came up with a dumb but cute and funny idea for a modern genshin AU-

If you know what Nico Nico Douga is- which most vocaloid fans at least have an idea about it- then this'll make more sense-

For those who don't know what it is; just basically like Japan's youtube. Like bilibili is Chinese youtube-

Nico Nico has this feature where comments show up on the screen of the video. So sometimes you see, like for MASA's videos, "ああああああああ" or "あそれ！" being spammed, it's irritating at first but you come to enjoy it. Kinda like youtubes old annotations where anyone could add them at one point if set by the creator.

The good part about this type of comment section is that people sometimes subtitle the video using the comments in cool ways. For MASA's "the foxes wedding", some people subtitled the song, some did the English lyrics and others did romaji and/or hiragana lyrics.

Now getting onto the main idea that I'm getting at.

Inazuma is based on Japan, this is common knowledge. Scaramouche is inazuman, therefore in our world he's Japanese. In the modern AU he used Nico Nico Douga sometimes. More specifically, he uses the comments to subtitle videos into Japanese AND English.

For Japanese lyrics he puts romanized characters under the kana characters, he typically has the Japanese text on the bottom of the video and the English at the top.

He has his own little style too, but no one on Nico Nico- aside from reader who were putting as the creator of the videos, be it covers or whatever- knows it's him. He's anonymous on there, well he has an account but it isn't obvious it's him. Everyone on there has nicknamed him "Subtitle-San" and everytime he's gone for a while but comes back on a new video to subtitle he's like "guess who's returned! It's me, your favorite subtitler"

Some people have said he puts so much personality into his subtitles, and some people have guessed his personality through it.

Some have jokingly said- and it started out as one person but then EVERYONE joined in- "subtitle-san, hand in marriage. Now 💍" and he just responded with "k"

Everyone on the channel knows who he is- kinda. Some people will comment about "make room for subtitle-San! He needs to put the lyrics for us!" And suddenly the comments will go silent for a while and the only thing that will show up is his translations and stuff

And then on an instrumental break everyone goes crazy again-

It was more of you being distracted by the catchiness of the song and just wanting to dance. Every once in a while, you would lip-sync to the lyrics. Pretending you were performing it on stage. 

   But this was the type of song you would only perform for your boyfriends, Yu and Kanji. A private show, if you could put it that way.

   Due to the summer heat coming from outside, you turned on a fan to cool down. You could feel the air flowing your body and brushing up against your clothes (you were wearing a light, oversized shirt and one of Yu’s boxers. What? They were comfy!). But despite that, you could still feel some sweat rolling down. 

   You weren’t so sure if you were hallucinating, but you swore you saw Yu and Kanji in the same room as you. Shirtless. It was almost as if they were there (or it might be just the heat). 

   With their backs towards you, you watched as they were also cleaning the living room and getting more work done than you were. They were also affected by the heat, as there was sweat dripping off of them. At one point, Yu sighed and ran one of his hands through his gray hair as if he was getting tired already. You couldn’t blame him. 

   You also couldn’t blame yourself for subconsciously licking your lips. You really couldn’t get enough of your boyfriends. But the fact you got two of them instead of just one? You almost wanted to consider yourself lucky to be with such amazing men.

   You almost didn’t want anyone to know about how nasty your mind was when it came to your boyfriends. Your imaginations belonged to them.

   You waited for the perfect moment for the beat drop. 

   And then...

   It came. 

   You loved this part of the song. You felt a sense of boldness flow through your body as you dropped to the floor and continued the dance. Your imagination must’ve gotten to you, but you were seeing steam emitting from the room. 

   And it just so happened that Yu and Kanji were sitting on the couch, watching you (They must’ve decided that cleaning would save for another day, as well). From a glance, you saw Yu smirking at you. Meanwhile, Kanji’s face was turning a light pink while he bit his bottom lip. 

  Feeling their eyes on you sent a tingling sensation in you. And it flew throughout your body when you laid on your back and lifted your legs in the air as you continued the dance (**). 

   At this moment, you felt free. So free. It almost felt like you were wearing nothing but your undergarments. The air conditioner was able to hit all the spots on your body, cooling you down. But still, it wasn’t enough to stop the heat that you were feeling. And it wasn’t because of the summer weather.

   Eventually, you got back up on your feet, but your body was still moving. All you could think about was how badly you wanted Yu and Kanji. Nothing else was your concern at this moment. You had no idea how long you could handle the wait for them, considering how they were still hanging out with Yosuke and Teddie.

   And considering how it was still afternoon, you could have your boyfriends all to yourself for the next few hours. The excitement was getting to you--

   “Well, well. What a nice surprise we came home to see. Right, Kanji?” 

   ‘OH SHIT.’

   You swore your head could’ve been snapped off your neck by how fast you whipped it. Turning your head around, you saw your boyfriends standing in front of you. Yu had an amused look on his face, and Kanji was flustered. Almost similar to how they looked when you imagined them watching you dance. 

   “U-Uh, yeah. I guess,” Kanji mumbled as he swallowed a lump in his throat. He was already feeling something in the down area of his body, and there was no way he could ever try to hide it. At least only you would be able to see it. And Yu, too. Thank the heavens that Yosuke and Teddie (or God forbid, the girls!) weren’t there to see it, though!

   Meanwhile, you stood there in your spot, not moving a single inch of your body. You certainly weren’t expecting your boyfriends to be home that quick. Let alone catching you dancing to quite a spicy song. Were you embarrassed about it, though? No, it was mostly you being in shock. 

   And it wasn’t as if you wanted them to catch you.

   Yu chuckled. “Those were some interesting moves you got there, (Y/N),” he said. You felt like your eyes were about to widen from how his voice sounded (there was some lust behind it). “Never knew you were quite a good dancer until just now. Another nice surprise to discover, too.” 

   “It’s nothing, really,” you smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of your neck. “I just got obsessed with this song and wanted to learn the dance.”

   “We’re still not gonna deny that you’re good at it, though,” Kanji pointed out. At this point, he was surprised he didn’t get a nosebleed after watching all of that. His eyes were practically glued onto you as he watched your body move to every beat of the song. 

   How you didn’t notice him and Yu walking into the house in the middle of your dancing session, Kanji didn’t know. Either way, he couldn’t let out the noise when he watched you get on the floor. 

   Unbeknownst to you, Kanji’s imagination also went crazy. 

   “Aww, thanks!” you smiled, then bit the inside of your cheek. A habit you did whenever you felt flustered. 

   “But don’t you think you’d be good at dancing upstairs in our bed?” Yu’s voice suddenly deepened. It almost sounded like he growled. 

   ‘Wait, what--’

   “E-Eh?” you tilted your head. 

   “Because I certainly think so,” the gray-haired male said before he slowly walked up to you and grabbed you by the waist, pulling you close. When you looked at him, he had a sensual look on his face. A look that always sends butterflies in your stomach.

   You almost didn’t have the time to make a noise of surprise when Yu suddenly locked his lips onto yours. Your (E/C) eyes widened. But it wasn’t long before you gave back into the kiss. No matter how many times you’ve done this, you could never get enough of how Yu was a great kisser. It always had you melting. 

   In just a matter of seconds, Kanji walked up behind you and began to place kisses on the back of your neck. At the sudden touch, you let out another small gasp. Yu found the opportunity to slip his tongue in your mouth. He also slipped one of his hands under your shirt and caressed it using his thumb. You let out a small moan at his touch, and Yu smirked into the kiss. 

   But it certainly didn’t help (or you know what? Maybe it did!) when Kanji subtly sneaked his hand under your boxers and began to play with the hem of your underwear. 

   Oh God, you felt like the steam was starting to come back inside the room. For all you knew, you were probably in heaven. But this was sinful.

   Yu eventually pulled away, and a string of saliva followed. With the smirk still plastered on his lips, he whispered, “I think it’s time we take (Y/N) upstairs to our bedroom and have them perform just for us. Isn’t that right, Kanji?” 

   Said boy looked at Yu and had the same smirk. “Hell yeah.”

   And before you could say anything, Kanji lifted you into his arms and carried you bridal-style. It prompted you to let out a squeal. 

   Yu chuckled. “That’s a cute noise you made there, (N/N). Although, you’re cute all the time. And don’t go denying it.” 

   ‘Oh, God damn it!’

   “Damn right, they’re always cute!” Kanji agreed.

   Yu nodded. “But enough talk about that. How about we head up to our room now? And don’t worry, (Y/N). We’ll take real good care of you, we promise.” 

   A clenching feeling was building up in your stomach, but there was also some excitement. So with a nod and a flustered face, you allowed Kanji to carry you upstairs with Yu following behind the both of you. You had the feeling you were going to be sweating a lot in the next few hours. Again, not just because of the hot temperature. 

   Not that you minded.

I feel like with how much he always has those headphones on, he probably has a range of music. From pop, indie, alternative, etc. He probably doesn’t really care much about lyrics and the meaning, though I don’t think he’d really vibe with songs that are explicit, as in sex lol, unless it’s something that’s more abstract yknow. He’s also not opposed to them either though. Just not preferred? I think if they just have a good beat or the melody fits with his current vibes at the time it’ll work. It’s funny that I don’t really write for Tsukki that much but I wanted to make his playlist first.

I think he has different playlists for what he’s doing at the time. If he’s on his way to school, and Yamaguchi isn’t with him, he’s probably listening to something upbeat to wake himself up. After practice on his way home, he’s probably listening to something chill to just relax after grueling practice.

Definitely has music based on his moods. I also feel like he has a preference towards indie music?? I have no clue why but I just feel like he does. He also probably has a few artists he keeps an eye on for when they have new releases but he isn’t obsessed with just one artist (Indigo la End is one of the artists I think he’d like). There are definitely songs on here he’d rather die than have his team know he listens to, Yuwakuno Party being one of them.

Out of the entire team, I think you’d be better off asking Tsukki (or Suga) for song recs. But it’s only a matter of whether or not he’ll give you them.

I ALSO feel like he likes rap music? My friend and I were talking about that so like owo I think he and Noya have the same music tastes as well but I’ll probably only put one or two songs that are the same for either.

He doesn’t organize his playlists very well. I’m sorry. I just feel like he doesn’t?? But he knows which playlists are for what. They definitely range from playlists he listens to when he thinks about Kiyoko (or you heheh) to whichever he wants to listen to and that one playlist somehow has the songs, and the only songs he wants to listen to at that moment. Actually, there should be a correction, it’s not organized well to people who look at his playlists but it’s organized to himself.

I also think he’s a big fan of JPOP groups. I think he’d probably be a fan of Nogizaka46, and this is where he and Noya will probably have a disagreement (but they still listen to the other’s favorite jpop group because its still good music ya know). Sad uwu

I feel like Noya listens to pop, rock, indie, and like Tanaka the cute love songs and rap songs :3c. I want to say that Noya’s the one that finds the various love songs and gives Tanaka the recommendations. The song genre I think that was playing during that one episode where Ukai had videos of everyone and it was Nishinoya’s video, I think that was rock?? So that’s where the whole rock genre comes from anyway so lol.

In terms of a JPOP group I think he’s a fan of, it’d be AKB48 who are rivals with Nogizaka46 lul. And look, I want to say when I was researching into the music culture in Japan, it’s usually the girls that are fans of JPOP groups? But, I feel like Tanaka and Noya would be fans of them ;-;

I think Noya either organizes his playlists like in a keyboard smash all caps, and only he knows, or there’s just a bunch of playlists that are like “new Playlist” or whatever the defaults are loool.

Suga doesn’t really care which kind of songs he listens to. He likes them all. I feel like he leans towards “softer” songs, whatever that means, though I tried putting in a range of songs for this mixtape. Maybe I’m projecting here because I love Suga and I see a lot of myself in him, but he just likes the chill music. Which is funny because of how feral he could be. He definitely has songs he listens to that are more upbeat though. I also think he likes rap. But like I said, I don’t think he really has a preference of what genre of songs he listens to.

He has multiple playlists, from what he’s feeling mood, what activity he’s doing (working out, homework, cooking, etc.), to just what he wants to listen to at the time. Which means that playlists changes a lot because of how much he deletes and adds so he can have “atm vibes”. I think he also gives them funny names, maybe throwing in emoticons so some people don’t know what playlist is for what but he does!

I think Suga would give great music recs too. He has range so he can give anything for any genre. I think out of everyone here, Suga has to be the best DJ. He just knows what songs to play that fits best with the group and the vibe that’s going on.

OKAY so it’s already been confirmed that Hinata reads manga. I dunno how into it he is but I feel like it’s more lowkey than Tendo and also because I feel like he does spend more time with volleyball. But I also think he still does watch anime every now and then and his little sister probably watches a lot of Sailor Moon so he’s bound to have watched that too. Like that’s so cute I love sailor moon. If you don’t know what I’m trying to get at, I want to say that his playlist does consist of anime openings and endings. BECAUSE THEY’RE GOOD OKAY.

I also think maybe Vocaloid?? Like maybe he finds a few vocaloid songs because he found it through youtube recommend when he listened to anime openings and stuff. But otherwise, I think as he and his sister gets older he probably listens to what his sister does because sometimes he’s just too busy to find music (which is valid because I know my brother’s music that he plays and whenever I play something new all of a sudden it’s on his playlist, i’m also the younger one)? Or he listens to whatever is in passing (like what his friends listen to) or, again, anime openings and endings.

He probably kinda attempts to organize his playlists at first but eventually he gave up? So he probably just listens to whatever is on his library of songs and skips whatever songs he’s not feeling. If he does organize anything, it’s by songs from who recommended it or where he heard it from. Like anime songs, or songs heard from natsu, or suga, etc.

IS IT BAD THAT I THINK YAMAGUCHI WOULD LISTEN TO SAD MUSIC??? LIKE Okay he probably has a few things he likes but some that stick out would be rock, indie, or indie rock. Like, he grew up with Tsukki they probably listen to the same music together ya know? So with that in mind, they have similar artists and genres in general I think. Yamaguchi listens to songs with good beats he can vibe to or those soft songs he can listen to when he’s like taking the train and going through the day wanting to chill or whatnot. He also probably names his playlists like “chill dayz,” “just want to vibe,” “!!!! kinda day,” etc. lol it’s pretty cute but also I felt that.

Because I love the song, have loved it since I first heard it, and held off on looking up the lyrics for singing and the meaning until I could do it myself for JP practice. And also I wanted to explore the song by myself without being influenced by anyone else’s understanding.
