I've not posted a full drawing since yesterday, uhhh idk have this old drawing from my Unchanging Past pokemon au

There is zero context behind this drawing, I just felt like drawing these two fighting side by side.

You're free to be curious what this au was about cuz I still have the concept written even though I've changed everything about it--

Idea: one of those "Ash somehow ends up in a group chat (usually with the Champions or Legendaries, sometimes with other characters) the first day of his journey and it messes with the series" AUs that've been popping up on AO3 lately, but instead it's a group chat made up of alternate versions of himself. One of them's the canon version (or at least close to it), the rest are AU versions, at least one of them is Ashley (not sure if trans or just genderbent. leaning towards trans), and all of them are from post-series and trying not to give too many spoilers because they don't want to overwhelm their "mini-me" or make things too easy for him 'cause if they do he won't grow as a trainer and person like they did (not that he'd want them to coddle him like that anyway. He's always wanted to get through on his own merits not have victories just handed to him). Also Arceus told them not to (who else do you think would've set this up?).

Granted, sometimes even when they do give spoilers it doesn't help much between them not having perfect memories, being from alternate timelines so a lot of the details are different between them, and forgetting just how stubborn and bull-headed their Kanto Era self could be.

Hello everyone! I was in a creative mood, and redrew the VERY FIRST art I made on my blog which kindaaaa blew up. (You can see that post here.)

The info is still regularly the same, with the main character not existing, and the Paldea trio are being sent to Kitakami.

Nemona never found her rival, and upon being possessed, she goes from attentive and intuitive and loving battles to sluggish and stubborn, and will continue battling others even if they have no Pokemon left. And since Kieran, Carmine, and Geeta have to work to defeat her, she found her match.

Penny was never allowed to see their friends after Team Star still got expelled. Upon meeting Pechakeen, they go from prissy and timid to friendly and sociable, though that kindness is all just an act, and the chance they get, anyone they deem as a "bad guy" they'll ruthlessly bully and humiliate them. Since Carmine had drove Penny and the others off, Penny found the bully they could stand up to.

Arven still never was told about the incident in Area Zero, and with his Mabosstiff dying and his parents never around, Arven felt alone, left to deal with his negative self confidence. Upon meeting Pechakeen, he went from brash and unapproachable to apathetic and dramatic along with Sada's temper and Turo's emotional coldness. While the real Arven is still trapped in a false reality in his mind, this version of him never questions a thing, putting on this wimpy act until someone does something he doesn't like, and the temper comes flaring.

So how does time travel work in the 50's AU if there are no pokemon?

Soo... um... it's not like pokemon don't exist at all. I got sneasler as a sacret beast Ingo is guarding and wardening. Arceus is sorta the God of beasts in this AU too.

Gods and mythical beings are definitely part of this AU, they're just not widely known. It's sorta low fantasy. It's there but it's not common at all.

When asked where he's been for 15 years, Ingo will reply something like "The God of beasts has transported me through time and space to save the world" like it's sarcasm, not expecting people to take it as anything but a joke even tho that's exactly what happened

the idea here is that mia makes a DPPT rom hack to cope w her trauma, and that the nuzlight got cody instead, imitating GB/GBA pokemon games instead of DS ones.

cody is still disillusioned w pokemon, so they're initially immune to the nuzlight's full influence over them (still compelled to play the game, but not as enamored w the game as they should be) so the nuzlight works extra hard to influence cody. eventually it does work on them in the end, so when cody gets pulled into the game, they wake up from its trance feeling soooo gross n violated for being essentially brainwashed into loving pokemon again. cody initially tries to martyr themself like canon mia, not wanting anyone else to suffer the same fate - but eventually the lack of any sane or human company wears down on them. the nuzlight gives sentience to cody's teammates, which helps placate them for a while, but they're still determined to get out eventually. unfortunately their pokemon don't want cody to leave, they don't want to stop existing - so they disobey all of cody's orders and purposefully lose every battle so that cody can't take the place of any player who fights them.

the nuzlight eventually allows humans to view it through a dreamlike state (just like canon mia) so that cody can have people to talk to. this actually manages to placate them into giving up on escaping, but they're still off-put by how much the nuzlight seems to adapt itself to what it thinks cody would like...

also: instead of a blacklight effect, the game turns monochrome instead. techno usually appears as a gen 1 ghost, but their true jirachi form appears when the monochrome effect is on.

1. My version of a Shen brothers AU, transmigration included.

2. Shen brothers, but Shen Yuan dies in the Qiu household and Shen Jiu uses demonic cultivation to pull off a Fullmetal Alchemist, binding Shen Yuan’s soul to Shen Jiu’s own body. Shen Jiu is on a quest to give Shen Yuan his body back so he can experience the world again. Shen Yuan would personally just like to keep his gege alive, please, and maybe pet Binghe’s soft fluffy hair just once. (Read more here)

3. Shen Yuan ends up in a Pokemon AU fanfic of PIDW where on top of all the OTHER crazy fantastical monsters and animals, Pokemon also exist in that world. Unfortunately, it does not follow Pokemon conventions. There are no battle-to-knockouts or health potions or pokeballs. It’s basically just more super-powered monsters, shitty author!

4. One of my personal favorites, it’s just a mash-up of #2 and #3. Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan sharing a mind while in a Pokemon AU.

5. Nicknamed “therapy cat Shen Yuan” and it’s just my take on Shen Yuan transmigrating, specifically as a spiritual cat. He’s originally a “pampered”(see: harassed, smothered, treated like a dress-up doll or a toy to play with and then put away when bored) house cat owned by Qiu Haitang. He and a poor slave boy he only knows as A-Jiu end up fleeing together, and somehow he finds himself bonded as his spiritual companion through the trials and tribulations that follow. Together they join Cang Qiong, cultivate to immortality, and ascend to Peak Lord! … of Qing Jing Peak… with the name Shen Qingqiu. FUCK.

6. Bingqiu Soulmate AU where soulmates have their minds link up when the younger soulmate turns 16. This was inspired by a different fic I read, but in that one Binghe hadn’t already gotten to know Shen Yuan as his Shizun. I wanted to explore how it would be different if he’d already built a mental image of SQQ in his head and fallen in love. Also, I want to note that due to mental voices not really sounding like ANYTHING, you get some lovely identity shenanigans when they first meet. Binghe is happy his soulmate agreed that they must be platonic, though, since he has already given his heart to his Shizun! (Luo Binghe Will Regret That)

7. My pride and joy, my newest and dearest baby. I decided to write a fic outline where the outsider POV of SVSSS was canon. That is, a no-transmigration AU where Shen Qingqiu suffers a qi deviation that ACTUALLY fucks up his memories and completely changes his personality. (Oh, and Qiu Jianluo was a half-demon. I’m sure that won’t be important at all.)

Please please please please please ask me questions, request specific scenes, whatever! I’ve been struggling with starting any scenes lately, despite having the inspiration and motivation. But scene requests seem like a fantastic place to start.

So, I've been having a bit of a Pokemon hyperfixation and I've been playing a ton of Pokemon Scarlet lately. My Zorua (appropriately nicknamed Kaito) encountered a Koffing with the neutralizing gas ability. It negated Zorua's transform ability.

Since I love your Phantump AU, I got thinking... how does Kaito deal with this? Does he go out of his way to avoid Koffing? Maybe his Zorua secret got revealed because of an encounter with one?

He works night security. Like the movie, the whole place comes to life at night. why does it do this? why was Ingo involved? idk it’s not important this is a silly au first and foremost

his “warden band” is from the gift shop. Lady Sneasler has decided he’s her warden now because she’s the only noble with no warden in the museum. she kept stealing the actual warden band from her display to give to Ingo. Ingo still isn’t sure how she was opening the case with her claws

Akari is there, and she’s Dawn. she snuck in at night on a dare early in her journey, got caught and gave a fake name, and then kept coming back to visit because a) cool haunted(?) museum, b) as the whole Galactic mess went down, it became nice to have someone who didn’t know her for that. she may have reverse adopted Ingo as her uncle

yes, Ingo is unaware of who Akari really is. he’s BAD at keeping up with current events

he doesn’t have his full hisuian team, but he has a Magneton and Kadabra, they’re good for fending off the museum “pokemon” without actually damaging them. he also has Gligar but doesn’t get a chance to battle with it much

Volo is still a villain. he’s causing the “frenzies” that Akari and Ingo work together to fix. he’s trying to meet Arceus to end his “cursed, half-life existence”. He’s the only person in the museum who views their lives like that, literally everyone else is chill with it. He does have actual Giratina under his command

theres a few versions of Ingo and Emmet’s reunion we came up with but my personal favourite is “Emmet breaks in to steal the azure flute to meet Arceus to get Ingo back, gets caught. By Ingo.”

The Trains of Nimbasa (AU)

ever since i made a joke about the nimbasa trains being some sort of creepypasta backrooms type shit and my friend taking it seriously and comparing it to shinkansen 0, i said

THE TRAINS OF NIMBASA AU!

alright the premise is

the train station itself, is ALIVE, alongside the trains themselves. there's going to be some body and cosmic horror here, so brace thyselves /JJJJJ

some things are going to be very diff from the original games just to fit the lore

idk how to explain AUs so pls bear with me im explaining both the timeline and the creatures (warning: long ass content)

I. THE STATION OF NIMBASA.

also known as part I of the timeline which probably takes place in the 1970-80s.

the station of Nimbasa (or simply Nimbasa Station as of current time) was once a mysterious station that suddenly appeared out of nowhere in the outskirts of the city.

many people decided to check the station out for themselves, and it was found to be seemingly abandoned, with absolutely no employees or trains in sight. only the odor of oldness and rust was found, alongside the mysterious sound of steady running air, and the darkness of the tunnels, where numerous have reported the feeling of being watched by something.

people and even pokemon strayed far away from the station, but a few dared to go into the dark tunnels, where their light was snuffed out, and was never seen again.

the consistent reports of missing people who decided to go into the tunnels caused more to turn away from the station, fueling the rumors of it being haunted, or wild pokemon hiding in the dark, waiting for prey to foolishly go inside the tunnels.

so....what exactly happened to the people?

simple. they were eaten.

yep, you read that right. and guess what? the process is worse than you think.

WARNING: BODY HORROR, FEELING OF INFINITY

this isnt any simple "getting snatched by the abyss" or "swallowed by large maws straight to the afterlife"

picture this: you're a guy who decided to venture into the tunnels. the strange almost breath-like rhythm of the air around you doesn't deter you, and with a measly flashlight, you walk in the darkness.

the only things you see is the ground and the train tracks. when you shine your flashlight on anything else, you only see pitch black. the walls are still there - you felt them after all, and you just keep walking, and walking.

the tunnel grows warmer, and warmer. it fills with the stench of rot and decay, and the ground starts becoming more softer, accompanied by faint squishes. you point your flashlight downwards, but all you see now is pitch black.

for some reason, you don't stop walking. your feet hurt, your legs are numb, and your stomach growls and your eyes strain, but you don't stop walking. something is there, and you can feel it. you know it's waiting for you.

so you continue to walk. for a long, long time.

the tunnel seems to never end. and so does your determination.

your flesh feels heavy. it's always been heavy, but only now did you notice it's weight, burdening you with its existence.

suddenly, you feel it slowly lifting away. and you feel colder.

you feel some liquid pouring in pools and rivulets on your body, and and you feel something squish, your own body tensing and pulling and stretching as you walk. you still walk.

with every step, more and more things peel away from you, and you're lighter. you feel colder.

you feel closer to the tunnels.

you feel weak now. you prop yourself against the walls, and your fingers were thinner than you remembered. you feel your arm fall off. you still keep walking.

there was no light anymore. or maybe it was just your eyes.

you still keep walking.

you feel yourself fall apart. you trudge along. you move forward.

you keep "walking".

until you feel the last traces of your consciousness ebb from you, and you finally let your fatigue get the best of you, and you sleep.

the next day, you're reported missing.

OKAY SO UM BASICALLY (WOW DID I JUST LOCK IN LMAO) - you got both eaten AND digested.

that squishy ground? it's not really the train station itself - more like its half digested meals. also yes - your body fell apart piece by piece - skin, flesh, then bones.

also no - its not you who finds it weird they immediately deem u missing after just one day - you've actually been in the tunnel for a week now

THIS is how the station eats its victims, and so does its offspring, the trains, except its lit so you can literally see what happens to your body. good times.

anyways so the International Police formed a research group dedicated in researching the station - which evolved into the Undercover Bureau of Anomaly Investigation, in which one of its members goes on to establish the Aether Foundation, with his beloved daughter, Lusamine, becoming its president in the future.

in the same future, Colress would've become a member of the UBAI, helping in the research on the Station in exchange for help in studying the true strength of Pokemon.

UBAI motto: "We risk ourselves in the dark so others can thrive safely in the light."

the Station was determined to have been some sort of predatorial organism from another dimension. It had traces of energy matching those of the Ultra Beasts and the Ultra Wormholes, with further research furthering the theory it must've shared a world with one of the Beasts, specifically Stakataka. It's theorized that it probably didn't just stay in one dimension, and actually spread itself to other dimensions, multiplying and preying on the organisms there. One of dimensions must've also had humans, considering how the Station managed to perfectly camouflage as any other regular train station.

No organs have been successfully found except for the Heart, which only high ranking researchers and officials are aware of. The Heart itself is guarded by unnatural worm-like organisms spawning from the Station itself, presumably acting like a sort of antibody or white blood cell for the organism.

It was determined the Station uses frequencies lower than infrasound, influencing an organism's mind to continue going down its tunnels, successfully luring it to its doom.

With each organism consumed, the Station grows larger and larger, causing the UBAI to at first starve it to death, but it retaliated with the creation of large worm-like creatures to get prey for itself. Soon, this mechanism of its biology has been manipulated to create the trains that are now known today.

II. THE TRAINS OF NIMBASA.

When the UBAI first cut open a Worm, they found metal making up its skeleton, which also served as its neural system where pure electricity can run through the entire creature. Its insides were hollowed out, perfect for storing and delivering prey for its Mother. Any organism that was chewed in its front mouth was found to be still alive in their forced and painful states.

It was discovered this was only but a prototype, with the Station creating more and more Worms that were scarily close enough in appearance to an actual train.

The UBAI found benefit in this however, creating numerous experiments where the Station was forced to make more of these proto-Worms. Many were discarded, but soon the UBAI managed to create the perfect Worm for their use: W-1, dubbed "Nimbasa". The first Engine.

Nimbasa was large and had thickened metal-ingrained skin that was close to being armor - with a premature form just like the proto-Worms, but with the train-esque capacities of the second stage Worms. Most importantly, it was mentally separated from the Station, having a will and mind of its own. It also had an operator cell - where operators would've gone to in order to directly control the brain in front of the cell.

The operator cell would've been fitted with a control panel connected directly to the brain, where the operator will form tracks using pieces in order to create a path that the Engine will follow without rebellion.

NImbasa was aggressive, however, often roaring and trying to bite its handlers. It was close to being discarded like its predecessors until others advocated for its training, where it was then conditioned to become human-tolerant.

The UBAI developed shells, which would disguise Nimbasa to look like an actual train, as well as keeping it under control. Soon, they took it for testing, which turned out positive.

Nimbasa was originally used for UBAI purposes only, but it was revealed to Unova a decade later, when UBAI developed two other Engines, W-2 and 3, or Anville and Duplet.

Anville and Duplet have been shown to be more docile than Nimbasa, but have not hesitated to retaliate if harmed in any way. This became even more apparent when Nimbasa and Anville started showing signs of hunger, beginning to bite at handlers.

So the food cell was developed.

The food cell is designed to line up to a room built at the end of the platforms in the Station. The door is remote controlled and only opens when a person is isolated. It is disguised to make it look like a room with a seat to let people rest, where unaware persons could be lured into and eventually fed to the Engines. I think we already know how said person gets eaten.

There are 6 operators for each Engine, with a work time of 4 hours each. They are supposed to not move a lot to prevent the Engine of being aware of the operator's presence, which will crush the operator using its muscles.

Before there were 3 operators only, and before that there was only one. Why?

Because of Duplet.

After a day, the sole operator for Duplet was found to have become merged with Duplet itself, still conscious but unable to separate. The operator did not survive despite tedious efforts.

After this, Duplet was found to become more docile, almost "quiet" in its nature, leading the UBAI to start researching more into the brains of the Engines, discovering they are more capable of emotion than once thought.

The UBAI tried replicating the merging with other (discarded) Worms, finding that it did not result in the same docile state as Duplet gained, backing up what UBAI had found about the Engines' psychology.

These Engines can go as fast as a bullet train, making more people flock to the Station. 4 more Engines were produced: W-4 "Sundry" (suhn-dree), W-5 "Tandem" (5A "Green" and 5B "Tulip") and W-6 "Whistle"

(these trains actually line up with the ones in the game:

Nimbasa - Single

Anville - Anville

Duplet - Double

Sundry - Multi

Tandem - Super Single and Super Double

Whistle - Super Multi)

Sundry was a bit longer than first 3 Engines, having 2 more passenger cells, as well as more components giving it a tougher hide and smarter brain. It is one of the more energetic Engines, second to Whistle.

Tandem were twin trains accidentally produced, and can only travel in sync, almost "sharing" a brain, and are the most docile of the Engines. Green is as large as Nimbasa, with Tulip being as sleek as Duplet.

Whistle was the product of a procedure designed to try and replicate Sundry's model. Whistle is the fastest of the Engines, being known to bite when its energy is high.

Unfortunately, the Engines weren't the only organisms created by the Station.

After Sundry was produced, the Station was discovered to have been making Engines of its own in secret. These Engines, dubbed the Station/Mimic Trains, looked like the UBAI Engines at first, before they became more closer and closer to ordinary trains in appearance.

The Station managed to grow tracks in abundance, finding and connecting them to other normal stations (that were still in use despite the popularity of the Station), letting the Station Trains pick up unsuspecting passengers and bringing them straight to the Station.

Ever since then, the station crew is required to look for stray tracks and cut them off, with Station Trains being eliminated using Fire and Psychic Pokemon.

However, due to this, the Station Trains evolved from being single-minded workers for the Station, to predators that actively hunt maintenance crew members in the tunnels. Yes, not just in the Station, but in other normal stations as well.

The seam where the glass and metal meets at the front is actually the mouth, and when opened, reveals almost human-like teeth, similar to the Engines. They also have front facing eyes, hidden in the front digital sign of their head (where trains would normally show the next stop)

so just imagine, being a worker investigating the tunnels, and suddenly you see an unusual train in the dark that you didn't even HEAR coming, and its just slowly stalking you, its prey.

YES THEY ARE VERY SILENT.

they will use their headlight to momentarily blink or flash in the darkness, luring a worker to investigate, before consuming them.

The Station Trains are stronger than the Engines, and it has been part of protocol to NOT let them interact, reason being that the Engines might reconnect with the Station itself and turn on the handlers.

III. STATION CREW AND CHARACTERS

BUT WAIT. LET ME EXPLAIN THE STATION CREW FIRST.

The Nimbasa Station actually has two sets of crews: the Upper Management and the Lower Management

Upper Management only knows themselves as the Station Crew, the normal workers, which keep up the normality facade of the Station. They are unaware of the truth of the Station, nor the UBAI.

Lower Management is the hands-on crew, personally selected by the UBAI based on their ability to follow orders efficiently and properly to a fault. They are to manage and care for the Engines, with examples being the handlers, the cleaners, the operators, etc.

UM and LM agents have the same green uniform, with the LM have a thin golden stripe running across their chest, separating them from UM.

LM are fitted with their own Lantern, which is designed to be an anchor against the anomalous properties of the Tunnels, "grounding" the agents and allowing them to return back from the Tunnels.

It releases its own frequency to counteract the Tunnels', as well as giving a brighter illumination than a normal flashlight.

So how do Ingo and Emmet fit here?

Well

They were working in another station at first, but they were big fans of the Nimbasa Station, and transferred there later in life. Some years later, they become the Subway Bosses we know.

No the Ingo Hisui thing doesn't happen here.

The UBAI realized that one conductor wasn't enough, and two were needed to head each of the Managements.

Ingo became head of Upper Management and Emmet of Lower Management.

Ingo was not made aware of Nimbasa Station's truth. Emmet was.

This was decided after Emmet decided to investigate the tunnels for himself without direct order, causing him to be hunted by a Station Train. This was set up by the UBAI themselves, just to test the newly promoted Subway Boss.

Safe to say, Emmet is more than a little shaken.

Ingo thinks Emmet is of the same level as him, and the latter is just sweating bullets like "yeah Ingo, my job is definitely the same as yours and not being management of biomechanical creatures who we thought were just trains and that the station we work at is an organism itself"

Its a constant internal battle of stopping himself from telling Ingo the truth, on why he has to work more hours than him, on why he can investigate the tunnels and Ingo can't, and why he's just so nervous and not very fine whenever he sees someone enter The Room in the platform because Arceus knows what the UBAI would do to Ingo if he told him

Extras/Trivia:

parts 1 and 2 were actually all my 3 branching ideas I had for this AU (station being alive and terrifying, trains being evangelion-esque creatures, trains being predatorial creatures in disguise)

I wanted to incorporate all of them in some way cuz they're so goddamn good and considering you're reading this I managed to do it 😼

There's a group called the Eradication Taskforce in this AU, comprised of former agents and researchers of the UBAI itself, who defected and plan on eliminating the Station itself

Ingo also gets hunted by a Station Train later on which leads him to discover the truth
