Yj takes to mocking their mentors behavior after being lectured for being irresponsible and the public’s perception of YJ
Bart is going on about science that no one would understand even if he wasn’t talking at Mach 3 and popping out of no where going ‘flash fact-’ or starting a fight with a villain while eating an entire large pizza
Tim’s whaling on some fucking rogue and dude is 🤏🏾 close to being unconscious and tim goes “😡 now talk” (it doesn’t make it better that the rest of yj is in hysterics)
Anita mimicks the powers of whichever magic user she’s seen or heard most recently unless she gets bored and decides to act out horror movies which just leads to a villain cutting the power but they realize Anita showed up and they’re frantically trying to turn the power back on bc everyone thinks she’s actually possessed
Kon goes full on ‘Fear not, citizen! For I have arrived, a lone kryptonian with naught but justice in his heart’ along with saving one specific reporter first in every disaster (it’s linda and she thinks this is hilarious) he does hero landings and he says all the cheesy hero lines just bc he knows sometimes the medias perception of Clark annoys him (there’s a clip of a fan confessing and Kon goes on about how his only love is justice)
Greta before retirement is saying the lanterns oath before every attack and clowning Tim any chance she gets but Greta after retirement occasionally does crowd control which is just Greta doing finger guns and saying shit like totally tubular and gnarly while leading civilians away from danger or going on long winded rants about planes
Cissie is telling every person she saves that’s at least five years younger than her that she’s adopting them and then paying off some random debt and never speaking to them again or flirting with whichever member of yj is closest/has already taken down their opponent this doesn’t change much when Cissie retires, she just starts filing paperwork to adopt whoever gets second place and she will tell everyone that she’s married to the yj member on the news no matter where she is or what she’s doing
Cassie has a battle axe, a shield, and a lasso and somehow manages to use all three every fight while mimicking Diana’s speech patterns and demolishing anyone that gets a hit on yj (the only thing ww takes offense to is Cassie’s over the top feigned ineptness when it came to technology ‘Suffering Sappho! What is this strange contraption?!’ ‘🤨 my fucking phone??’)
#Bart has definitely said ‘flash fact: you just got your ass kicked I don’t know when or why but it definitely happened#Anita’s going full on exorcist like the second coming of the antichrist scary popping out of nowhere and more unnecessary shit#Anita 🤝🏾 Tim: being the reason villains stopped cutting the power as a fear tactic#Diana: but I’m not old??#Cassie: your age has more zeros than Batman’s bank account rn#young just us#young justice#Yj98#bart allen#dc impulse#cassie sandsmark#wondergirl#kon el superboy#tim drake#dc red robin#greta hayes#dc secret#anita fite#dc empress#gnc!cassie sandsmark#cissie king jones#dc arrowette

Tooru Oikawa was never one to lose—not on the volleyball court, not in school, and certainly not when it came to charm. With his easy smile, his endless charisma, and a fan club of admirers, he never had to try very hard to capture attention. And yet, when it came to you, the one person who seemed blissfully immune to his antics, Oikawa found himself completely and utterly out of his depth.
It started innocently enough. You were a classmate, someone who didn’t fawn over his every move or sigh when he passed by in the hallways. It wasn’t that you disliked him—you were polite, even friendly, when you spoke to him—but there was a calmness to you that threw him off balance. You weren’t affected by his teasing winks or the way he played up his natural charm. You just smiled at him like he was… normal. And for someone like Oikawa, who thrived on adoration, that was maddeningly intriguing.
He told himself it was just curiosity at first. After all, who wouldn’t be curious about the person who could ignore Tooru Oikawa? But before long, curiosity turned into something else—something warmer and more frantic, the kind of feeling that made his heart race when you walked into the room or when your laugh drifted across the classroom.
Oikawa had a crush. A big, stupid, boyish crush that he had no idea how to handle. And he had 5 signature attempts to get your attention.
1. The “Oh, I Didn’t See You There” Strategy
Oikawa started popping up wherever you were, as if by coincidence. If you were in the library, he’d conveniently show up with a volleyball playbook, claiming he needed a quiet space to study. If you were walking to class, he’d suddenly appear beside you, falling into step like it was the most natural thing in the world.
“Oh, hey, fancy seeing you here,” he’d say, his grin boyish and a little too smug.
“You’re literally always here at this time,” you’d reply with a raised brow, but you’d smile anyway, and that alone was enough to make his heart skip a beat.
2. The “Help Me” Excuse
Despite his confidence on the court, Oikawa knew how to play the helpless card when it suited him. One day, he leaned over your desk, his brown eyes wide with exaggerated desperation.
“Y/N,” he whined, dragging out your name, “I need your help. My science grade is in the dumps, and if I fail another test, Iwa-chan will kill me.”
You glanced up from your notebook, unimpressed. “Oikawa, you have better grades than half the class.”
“Not in this class,” he shot back, clutching his chest dramatically. “Please? You’re the only one I can trust.”
It wasn’t entirely untrue—he did need a little help in science—but mostly, he just wanted an excuse to spend time with you. When you eventually sighed and agreed, his grin was so wide you thought he might pull a muscle.
3. The “Accidental” Compliments
Oikawa was known for his flirtation, but with you, his compliments were different—softer, less calculated, and always followed by a faint blush that he’d try to hide.
“Did you do something different with your hair today?” he asked one morning, leaning on the edge of your desk.
“No, why?”
“Because it looks really nice,” he said, his tone unusually earnest. And when you blinked at him in surprise, his cheeks flushed pink, and he quickly added, “Not that it doesn’t always look nice, but, um, today it’s… extra nice.”
It was clumsy, a little awkward, and completely unlike the smooth, confident Oikawa everyone else knew. But you just smiled at him, a little softer this time, and he walked away feeling like he’d just won a championship.
4. The “Watch Me Shine” Plan
Of course, Oikawa couldn’t resist showing off on the volleyball court. If you happened to watch practice, he’d go out of his way to spike harder, jump higher, and throw in a few more dramatic moves than usual.
“Y/N, did you see that serve?” he’d call out after a particularly impressive play, jogging over with a grin.
“I did,” you replied, clapping politely. “It was good.”
“Good?” he repeated, feigning offense. “Just good?”
You laughed. “Okay, okay, it was great. You’re amazing, Oikawa.”
The way his cheeks flushed at your praise didn’t go unnoticed by Iwaizumi, who elbowed him as he passed. “You’re hopeless,” Iwa muttered, shaking his head.
5. The Little Things
Despite all his grand gestures, it was the little things Oikawa did that gave him away. He’d save you a seat at lunch, even when his fan club was glaring daggers at you. He’d bring you a drink after practice, claiming he “just happened to have an extra.” He’d listen—really listen—when you talked about your day, filing away every little detail about your likes and dislikes.
Once, during a rainy afternoon, you forgot your umbrella, and Oikawa appeared at your side with his own.
“Guess you’ll just have to share with me,” he said with a smirk, but his voice was softer than usual, and the way he held the umbrella tilted toward you so you wouldn’t get wet made your heart flutter.
The Confession
It wasn’t planned. Oikawa wasn’t the type to wing something as important as confessing to you, but somehow, the words spilled out one evening after practice. You’d waited for him, sitting on the bleachers with a book in hand, and the sight of you there—so calm, so effortlessly you—made his chest ache in the best way.
“Y/N,” he called, walking over, his hands stuffed in his pockets.
“Hm?” You looked up, closing your book.
He hesitated, suddenly unsure of himself. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. He should’ve had a speech ready, something charming and perfect, but instead, all he could manage was, “You know I like you, right?”
Your eyes widened, and for a moment, he thought he’d messed everything up. But then you smiled, soft and a little shy, and his heart soared.
“I was starting to get the feeling,” you teased, your voice light.
Oikawa let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding, running a hand through his hair. “You’re really going to make me say it, huh?”
You nodded, and he laughed, his confidence returning.
“Okay, fine. I like you, Y/N. A lot. And if you’d let me, I’d like to take you out—on a real date, not just me pretending I’m bad at science to spend time with you.”
You blinked, caught off guard. “Wait, you were pretending?”
“Mostly,” he admitted with a grin.
You laughed, shaking your head. “You’re unbelievable, Oikawa.”
“Does that mean yes?”
You rolled your eyes playfully but smiled. “Yeah, it means yes.”
His grin could’ve lit up the whole gym, and as he leaned closer, you thought that maybe, just maybe, Tooru Oikawa wasn’t so bad after all.

Rockstar abby/elliein, in interview!!
"Is your girlfriend dating you because the fame and the money?"
The reader was there even before the fame!
Even asking is offensive! How can someone think that of her girlfriend?!
And reader is in their apartment watching the interview on TV concerd because she's scared ellie/Abby would think that's true
Take your time and take care 🫶
English isn't my first language, I'm sorry for any mistakes
HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS
Rockstar gf! Ellie in an interview
You’ve met Ellie in high school. She was shy, had her small group of friends and was amazingly smart at science, physics and math, subjects that you sucked at. You’ve always catch her staring at you but whenever you two talked she would act so awkward. You always noticed how her cheeks turned slightly red whenever you were together, how she would toy with her fingers and how her legs would move up and down if she was sitting, making her converse tap on the floor extremely loud. And you also noticed how much effort she added to try and hide it, but she couldn’t.
You were the one to take most first steps on everything, staring with asking for her Instagram thinking you could start to know her more but it failed because her account was empty so you couldn’t get to know anything at all.
Then you proceeded to ask for help at physics, because that was her best subject, which was actually a win because after that you became closer, friends, or so she thought.
You’d had plenty of dates with her after that one class, but it wasn’t until you mentioned the word out loud that Ellie finally understood what was going on, and god she felt so stupid.
When she finally invited you over to her house one of the first things she did was playing guitar to you, to which you asked her if she could sing too, and she did. And when that happened you just couldn’t believe you’ve got such a hot talented smart girlfriend. That’s when you told her she should take advantage of that talent and the idea of making a band wouldn’t disappear from Ellie’s mind.
And that’s how it all started, Dina and Jesse being convinced by ellie to make a band, but not really convinced, they only agreed because how the fuck would a band like this ever work and how would it became famous? it was just for the experience and the fun and to not let her friend die alone.
So they performed for the first time ever at a bar, you’ve asked Ellie to make a cover of bad idea, yeah, from girl in red, and so she did. And for everyone’s surprise (yeah, including you) it worked more than perfectly. By starters, people did pay attention to them, that’s a win right? then people recorded them and asked for any social media to support them and you, from the public’s view, couldn’t be more happier because your girlfriend’s little dream might come true.
Thankfully you were right, they went viral and got a lot of followers real quickly. And so they kept on performing, until they started to make their own music and that just lead them to more fame.
Sooner that you could ever imagine they were already having small concerts, opening shows for bigger artists, being invited to red carpets and big events, appearing on magazines, having photoshoots and of course, being invited to podcast and having interviews as well.
For starters, fans and public in general wasn’t mean to you. When Ellie started to get the girls attention she quickly made sure everyone knew about you. She’d post you on both her own and the bands social media, she’d make you appear on lives, she’d make you go on stage as well. Everything to make sure that you and everyone else knew more than well that you were her girlfriend and she loved you a lot.
There’s the fan girls that hate you a bit and always insist that you’re only there for fame and money, the ones that would do anything to convince Ellie on breaking up with you just because they think they’ll have a chance with her if that ever happens. But after those comments became repetitive you learned to ignore them.
However today you weren’t so sure about it. The band had been invited to a live podcast that was super viral because of the influencers behind it and the type of questions they asked to their guests, as well as a small section at the end where the artists invited would have to read fan comments. They’d make them answer all, and of course they were all the polemic ones. And you knew you will eventually get involved in those comments.
You decided to stay at your shared apartment, you weren’t sure if you were gonna be able to handle the comments. So now you were just laying on bed with your phone on your hands anxiously watching the podcast.
So far everything was good, they’d given some context about themselves and how the band was created. They’ve been talking about how they meet and how it was all the process of becoming famous, and how was fame for them.
That was until they were told about the comments. Honestly at this point you’re way to focused on how fun everything was and how hot Ellie looks to feel anxious, but it does freak you out to see what type of questions they might get, no only Ellie but the whole band, you’re very aware of how annoying and disrespectful people can be.
Most comments are about how hot the three of them are, about how hot Ellie’s tattoo is, the typical fan girl comments that make the whole band laugh and make fun of it. Then there’s also hate comments and that unfortunately where you appear the most. One of the influencers grabs their phone and reads out loud “I bet Ellie’s girlfriend is only there for the fame and the money, she must get a lot from being so close to Dina and Jesse as well. Fucking good luck she has” then he proceeds to say excitedly how many likes the comment has, you hated them and hated this because even though you weren’t there you felt humiliated.
And as much as you try to ignore the whole situation you can’t help but feel like shit, you freaked out because if that comment had so many support that meant there’s a lot of people that thinks that and what assures you neither Ellie, Dina or Jesse have ever thought about it?
The three of them stay in silence for a couple of seconds, everyone just staring at Ellie awkwardly and waiting for her response, including you. And just when anxiety is eating you alive you hear her voice.
“Whoever wrote that comment is jealous as fuck” Ellie says clearly annoyed, her brows furrowed and a very sarcastic smirk on her face “the three of us meet her in high school as well. I was amazed by her when I first saw her but just couldn’t manage to talk to her, I was shy as fuck back then” both Dina and Jesse laughed, nodding their heads as making fun of her because only they know the amount of times Ellie would go with them to speak excitedly about how you had noticed her.
She speaks one more time and you can’t help but feel excited, now you understand the fans “however if she was here for it I don’t mind it at all because she’s hot, y’all wished to be m’ girl, stop being so annoying guys” and you can hear the interviewers laughing at the back, praising her for being so honest and calling fans out since most artists don’t.
And as you’re in bed, watching the live and feeling like a teenager in love. Ellie is dying to grab her phone and make you know how much she adores you and how much she can’t wait to get home with you, but she can’t of course cause she’s live and with her phone way to far from her.

What i think of you based on your favourite Six of Crows character
Matthias Helvar:
You probably read a lot in the fantasy genre and take yourself too seriously (no offense) probably busy daydreaming about profound things and writing poems that you'll eventually delete. You love bleak and gritty stories and you listen to Coldplay, Conan Gray or The Tortured Poets Department. No shade though, you guys are probably great friends with value for loyalty. In summary, i think you're all either really intense and ernest or totally shy and quiet. You're probably heterosexual to be honest.
Nina Zenik:
I think people who's favourite is Nina don't tend to be much like her in real life, but are the type of people that would really want to befriend her. I'd say you're more introverted and quietly friendly, but then you act totally different and comfortable with the right friends. Technically disapproving of gossip, but turn into Regina George if the rumour is juicy enough- secretly judgemental but it all comes out to your best friends. You have a good sense of humour and probably quite a cynical/pessimist mindset overall. I know you like campy films like Legally Blonde and Clueless. Oh, and your favourite subject is definately history.
Inej Ghafta:
If you're drawn to the steady and honest beat of Inej's thoughts, I think you're quite an anxious or scattered person who enjoys how safe and comforting she feels as a character. I'd say you're a sensitive person with a keen eye for colour and art. Your favourite chapters in SOC are definately the backstory and romance chapters. You cry often at films and music and just when you feel bittersweet or happy. You have Hozier, Mitski or Radiohead on your playlists. You're either artsy smart or english smart, there's no way your a science/maths kinda person.
Wylan Van Eck:
This one is split. You're either one of those people that infantalises and simplifies his character and reduces both him and Jesper to their ship and nothing else, OR you're literally the best person ever. If you're the latter, you're probably super empathetic and appreciate depth as well as a good laugh, and i severley doubt you yourself enjoy maths and chemistry despite loving that look for Wylan. I've also never met a Wylan stan who wasn't a HARDCORE fan of SOC in general. You guys are the loudest complainers about Shadow and Bone being cancelled, and honestly, power to you. I bet your room is a bombsite right now too- pick up those dirty clothes, for christ sake.
Kaz Brekker:
All Kaz Brekker fans are somewhat infatuated with him. Your favourite chapters/scenes are absolutely the action and sexual tension scenes. All about high stakes and excitement, and you love to be surprised. That or you have a big thing for the bad boy trope. I think you have "dark achademia" or grunge-ey pinterest boards that don't match your real life style. I also think you think chess and piano are really sexy but play neither yourself. You and your friends probably read terrible Wattpad stories for a joke. Generally, you're somehow relaxed and simultaneously intense as fuck. 70% of you are Queer women/ nb people, other 30% are intensely heterosexual.
Jesper Fahey:
You have Queen on your playlist. Queen or Gorillaz. You're probably a quite casual person who is taken with Jesper's charm and humour, and you appreciate the comedic relief as you don't enjoy too much grit and heavy stuff with no humour breaks. But despite being not the most sensitive person in the world, Jesper's backstory caught you off guard and it HURT. I think you love comedies and action, you're decent at school and you're quite popular with a good circle of friends. A social person. Potential theatre kid, but minor roles/tech, and the only musical you really like is Hamilton lmao. You are generally a funny person, but you've definately experienced that moment where you tell a joke and nobody laughs.
Anybody else:
Non-existent.
OH AND ALSO, KAZ AND WYLAN FANS ARE THE ONES WHO WRITE ALL OF THE FANFICTION
#six of crows#grishaverse#jesper fahey#kaz brekker#wylan hendriks#wylan van eck#nina zenik#matthias helvar#inej ghafa

why is everyone always hyping up Ms. Mendeleev as this amazing teacher who takes no bull when she really isn’t? in evil illustrator, Mendeleev sees Chloe picking on Nathaniel and even physically rips his sketch book out of his hands and embarrasses him in front of everyone. but not only is Mendeleev more focused on him drawing in class, she only scolds Chloe but doesn’t punish her for being disruptive. in Marinette’s flashback, when Marinette arrives to class late looking downtrodden, she yells at her in front of everyone instead of waiting until the end of class to talk to Marinette privately. she doesn’t ask her what’s wrong, she doesn’t shut down Chloe’s offensive comments about “looking more depressed than usual” and “she wants to design clothes but can’t keep hers clean”, and she yells at Marinette for accusing Chloe of putting paint on her seat by stating that she had no basis to do so. this woman sure does yell a lot doesn’t she? Mendeleev has zero empathy for her students and has no business being a teacher. if we’re going to call out Damocles and Bustier, she deserves a call out as well.
No no, you have a point. I find I want to argue with you because I'm one of those who likes Mendeleiev substantially more compared to the other teachers, but that's just it: when compared to the other teachers.
Other than Damocles as the Principal, Mendeleiv is one of only three teachers we've been introduced to in the whole of the series. Well, until the Art teacher in season three, but even he has the same issues as Bustier and Damocles of admonishing the other students while saying nothing against Chloe.
Chloe issues aside, Bustier's teaching methods are "nice", but notably useless and not age appropriate. She was shown teaching the class about a fairy tale, and not even a specific one. Just about how a Prince saves a Princess with a kiss, with "true love" being the lesson rather than the literary implications or analysis in what I can only assume is a literature class.
Then there's D'Argencourt, and do I really need to get into this guy?
So I think part of the reason here is that of the very few teachers we've gotten any focus on, Mendeleiev is the only one who has actually ACTED like a teacher. Not the nicest teacher, no, but at least A teacher.
She was admittedly harsh in how she went about things with her students, but she had valid points and reasoning behind what she did.
Nathaniel in Evilustrator was drawing in science class, a subject he is struggling in.
Rose was spraying perfume in class without consideration to the hazards it could cause. Someone could have a health issue. Plus...y'know...the canon problem of the perfume being VERY FLAMMABLE.
And she's the only teacher who has at any point at least scolded Chloe for her behavior. Which given how everyone seems to bend over backwards to appease her or admonish her victims, that's saying something.
Plus out of all the school staff who have been akumatized, Mendeleiev had the most sympathetic reason. Then there's her aborted storyline in the New York Special. So she comes off as a teacher who wants to be liked and do right by her students, even if her way of going about her interactions seems harsh, and I think that's the aspect that the fans have taken notice of.
It stands to reason we've all had a teacher like her in our lives. Strict. No nonsense. Didn't let us get away with anything. And it also stands to reason that having that teacher in real life made us dread that class.
So yes, Mendeleiev is no saint. But she at least IS a teacher who ACTS like a teacher. A strict teacher who takes no excuses and seems more impartial (at least when compared with Damocles and Bustier who make it quite obvious they're under Chloe's thumb even if it's in different ways and for different reasons). She could do with some education on empathy and communicating with her students. But she's still at least doing her job as an educator to teach them.
At least until the writers ruin her just like they ruin everything else because they saw what the fandom came up with and decided we can't have nice things.

Background of the Sterling Siblings 🍓🔥🫂
Axel and Ember Sterling enjoyed a relatively stable childhood in Central City. However, their lives took a dramatic turn when their father, Damon Sterling, received a job offer that required the family to relocate to Starling City. Although the move was a significant change, the siblings adapted and began to settle into their new environment.
Tragically, their lives were upended when a catastrophic fire broke out in Starling City. The fire was caused by an explosive device set off at a company where Damon worked—owned by Malcolm Merlyn. The company’s negligence in maintaining safety protocols contributed to the disaster. Damon Sterling, along with several other employees, lost his life in the blaze. Malcolm Merlyn, focused on his own priorities and other concerns, showed little regard for the safety of his employees, including Damon.
On the day of the fire, a devastated Axel, only 10 years old, was left trying to comfort his 8-year-old sister, Ember, who was overwhelmed with fear and grief. As Ember cried and called out for their mother, Axel struggled to provide solace and ensure her safety amidst the chaos.
In the wake of this tragedy, their mother, Kora Sterling, made the decision to bring her children back to Central City. She hoped to provide them with a sense of stability and security, moving them away from the traumatic events of Starling City. The siblings returned to Central City with their mother, carrying the weight of their loss but finding solace in being together.
At just 10 years old, Axel was thrust into the role of protector for his 8-year-old sister, Ember. The trauma and grief from the fire had a profound impact on him. The loss of his father darkened Axel, causing him to become rude, unfiltered, rebellious, and occasionally arrogant. The burden of taking care of Ember and the isolation he felt from his circumstances led him to develop a rough exterior. He often got into fights, experienced misunderstandings with friends, and questioned the motives of others.
Despite his abrasive demeanor, Axel remained deeply protective and caring towards Ember and his loved ones. His sense of responsibility and his desire to provide for his sister kept him grounded. While he was often silent, snappy, and snarky, he showed respect and friendliness when it came to those he cared about.
Ember, growing up under Axel’s overprotective watch, found herself increasingly isolated from the world around her. Despite her young age, she became highly perceptive and developed a sharp, reserved demeanor. She often used her quiet observations to challenge her brother’s decisions and to pull him back from dangerous situations. Her rebellious nature emerged as she began testing boundaries, both with Axel and their mother, Kora. Ember’s attempts to assert her independence led her to seek ways to make a statement, which often manifested as acts of defiance and a focus on her appearance. This behavior was driven by a deep-seated need to control her own life and identity in the face of her circumstances.

Siblings’ Dynamic & Mutual Support 🎲
Axel and Ember Sterling share a deeply protective and supportive bond that extends beyond the typical sibling relationship. Their experiences and the trauma they endured together have forged a strong sense of mutual reliance and care.
> Ember’s Support for Axel: Ember is fiercely protective of Axel, demonstrating her care through action. She often finds herself dragging Axel out of dangerous situations, ensuring his safety when his protective instincts lead him into conflict. Additionally, Ember takes on the role of caretaker, patching him up after fights and injuries. Her support is a testament to her deep concern for her brother’s well-being and her commitment to keeping him safe despite his rebellious tendencies.
> Axel’s Protection of Ember: Axel, in turn, maintains a vigilant eye on Ember. He isn’t afraid to pull her away from risky situations and confront her when she oversteps boundaries. His protective nature extends to calling Ember out on her behavior, holding her accountable for her actions. Despite his occasional snappiness and arrogance, Axel’s primary goal is to ensure Ember’s safety and to guide her through their shared challenges.
Their interactions are characterized by a blend of tough love and unwavering support. While they may clash and challenge each other, their underlying bond remains strong, reinforcing their commitment to each other’s safety and well-being.

The Particle Accelerator Incident & Gaining Abilities 🧪
Axel and Ember Sterling's lives took another unexpected turn during The Particle Accelerator Explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs in Central City. Axel, secretly a fan of science fiction and fantasy, was thrilled about the open public event and eagerly attended. Ember, initially uninterested and preferring to binge-watch movies on Netflix, decided to join him after seeing his excitement and curiosity.
The siblings planned to watch the event from a safe distance and grab a bite. However, the evening didn't go as planned. As the Particle Accelerator malfunctioned and began to explode, the rain started to pour heavily. The explosion caused widespread panic, with people fleeing for safety. Axel and Ember, thinking they were in a secure spot away from the chaos, were caught off guard. The explosion's shockwave, combined with the thunderstorm and the panicking crowd, knocked them out cold.
Their last clear memory was of the sky lighting up with a mixture of colors as lightning struck in their vicinity. The intense energy from the explosion struck them as they were sheltered underneath a dry spot, leading to their unconscious state.
———
Discovering Their Abilities 🌩️🔦
When Axel and Ember awoke the day after The Particle Accelerator Explosion, they were disoriented and struggling to comprehend the events and their newfound abilities.
Hospitalized to rest and recover, Axel was filled with apprehension, fearing that their lives would never return to normal aftermath of it all, he could sense it. Ember, on the other hand, was grappling with the trauma of what she had witnessed—the fall of people and the chaos of the night—while trying to ignore the pain.
As the months passed, their new abilities began to manifest in unexpected ways.
Ember's first encounter with her powers occurred during a seemingly ordinary day at the park. While hanging out with her friends, a group of boys approached, and one of them, intrigued by her dyed red hair and spunky outfit, tried to get her number. Ember, frustrated and unimpressed, tried to push him away. In a moment of anger, she inadvertently released a bolt of electricity that coursed through the boy, causing him to stumble and faint. Ember stood there, stunned and bewildered by the power she had unleashed and the sight of her own hands.
A few weeks later, Axel faced his own revelation. After getting into a fight with older guys who had objected to him and a friend playing baseball in their area, Axel found himself running through the streets of Central City, seeking refuge in a poorly lit area. He got a few pretty aggressive shots and left the guys beaten, another reason they were after him. While hiding from his attackers, Axel noticed something extraordinary—he seemed to blend into the shadows, becoming almost invisible. This unexpected development marked the first indication of his shadow cloaking ability.
————
———————
Bonding Over Newfound Powers & Causing Trouble 🕹️
As Axel and Ember slowly came to terms with their newfound abilities, they began to confide in each other about the strange occurrences they were experiencing. Initially, both were hesitant to share, unsure of how the other would react. However, the bond between them was strong, and they soon found comfort in each other’s experiences, gradually opening up about the incidents at the park and in the shadows. This mutual revelation deepened their connection, making them increasingly protective of one another.
Realizing the potential of their powers, the siblings decided to explore the limits of what they could do. This exploration, however, quickly took a darker turn. What started as curiosity about their abilities evolved into a rebellious streak. Axel and Ember began using their powers to cause trouble around Central City and Starling City. They discovered that they could move unseen, strike without warning, and get away with nearly anything.
Ember’s ability to control electricity became a weapon against those who crossed her, allowing her to incapacitate enemies with a mere touch. Axel’s shadow cloaking made him nearly invisible in the dark, enabling him to sneak into places unnoticed. Together, they formed a formidable team, stealing from stores, breaking into secure locations, and exacting revenge on anyone who wronged them.
Their actions were calculated and precise, leaving no trace of their involvement. The Sterling Siblings became known for their ability to make a scene and then vanish without a trace, leaving authorities and victims alike baffled. They reveled in the thrill of their new lifestyle, finding a sense of control and power that they had lacked since the tragic fire that had taken their father.
Despite the excitement, there was an underlying fear that drove their actions—a fear of losing each other, of being exposed, and of what their powers might ultimately lead them to become. This fear only intensified their protectiveness, causing them to be even more vigilant about each other’s safety as they continued their descent into the criminal underworld.

Ok so here me out
Now, as you probably guessed im a fan of the danny gets adopted trope and dp x dc crossovers
We've seen de-aged danny adopted by various members of the batfam, super man, and even black canary
So id like to open i new possibility that could even possibly work without the crossover (though it would be a lot less exciting)
I like to propose mr lancer as a possible adopter candidate
In various stores and Headcanons with jack and Maddie salt he has been brought up as someone who would call child protective services only for nothing to happen
So with a newly de-aged and hurt danny clockwork decided to try and find a worthy candidate to take care of his favorite halfa and finds one mr lancer who is moving to a city of your choice because he was offered a job a principal
He give him a visit in him ( and his spouse if he has one) new home and explains the situation and now we have the newest adoptee (adopter?) Trying to juggle having a ghosty son and his new job
And new habits for young danny to pick up
(Now i dont know much about mr lancer outside of what I've read because its been a long while since I've watched this show but i do know he doesn't curse and i think it would be funny for danny to pick up his habit of cursing without cursing but making it space themed)
(Im talking astronauts, planets, stars and constellations)
Can you imagine a little danny stubbing his toe and going "sweet neil Armstrong that hurts" or "oh stars" or anything space related? Or if he's mad at someone and some space names just slipping out and lancer jsut being like "danny!" While the offensive party is just confused and mildly insulted
And depending if its a crossover he is also going to be trying to contact or dodge concerned superheroes
Who knows maybe mr lancer will become a misunderstood Vigilante hunting down the giw so his son would be safe and got on the justice leagues radar
Or maybe the x-man pay his home a visit after one of the students see his son use his power
Or his son being a having the classic trope of protector spirit gets noticed by sheild
And last but not least danny being a smart space cookie entering a science competition for stark enterprises and not only blowing the competition away but also giving off some strange energy readings and having tony take an interest
(I like this one because we could have big brother peter parker 😌)
#danny phantom#avengers#dc#marvel#de-aged danny#a new spin on an old but good trope#let baby danny talk space like he's been studying it for years#let him also curse space#smart danny#dad!mr lancer

on fandom orientalism, ft. a quick visual example:
the example on the right is something i drew solely using references of the top results i saw on pinterest upon searching "jotun loki." please don’t roast my inconsistent handwriting
south asian cultures are often jumbled together for white artists of all kinds (authors, artists, movie directors) to create a sense of mystery and make things look "more foreign."
note: this doesn't touch on the antiblack racism in canon jötun designs; this post is primarily about fandom-sourced fetishization. i heavily encourage people to reblog and add onto this post anything i may have missed or added nuance
cut: links on orientalism, in-media examples, how this manifests in fandom-made content
i'd like to start off by saying that this post is a white person telling other white people how to spot orientalism in relation to fiction. i am by no means an expert on any of this, but my goal here is to start creating a less ignorant space that doesn't push people out of fandom.
i'm just trying to stir up more conversations about this and get other white people to think more critically about how they engage with the content they consume. nerd shit should never come with a sacrifice and it's extremely upsetting to see people of color consistently forced out of fandom communities, especially when modern superhero comics began as a way for jewish people to have a voice.
if this post upsets you, i don't want to hear it. don't tell me, "it's not that deep," or, "keep politics out of comics." it is that deep, and superhero comics have always been political. if you have the urge to leave a comment or send an anon about how you don't think it's a big deal, feel free to block me instead, because i don't care and you'll just get blocked anyway 👍
with that out of the way,
Q:
A:
there are countless ways to design a character in a way that makes it clear that they are an alien, or to make them sexy, and there is no excuse to perpetuate stereotype that put real-life people in danger to do so.
"Orientalist paintings and other forms of material culture... depict an 'exotic' and therefore racialized, feminized, and often sexualized culture from a distant land." [¹]
there are so many examples of this in loki fic and art. it's extremely common to see loki depicted as a feminine object of desire. they may have longer hair. clothing that serves more as an accessory than an outfit, that isn't suited to protect them from either the harsh cold of jötunheim or the sunburns one might get when surrounded by reflections of the sun off the snow. draped in jewelry, and in a compromising position.
i'm sure you can imagine how this can get especially out of hand in relation to thorki. i would speak more on thor's presence as both the white aesir prince or the strong barbaric jötun, but as i'm not comfortable consuming thorki content, i don't have enough context to speak on the stereotypes used outside of the art pieces i've seen while searching for jötun loki fanart.
i am, however, confident in saying that orientalism often serves as a device for fan creators to show a contrast between Asgard's white-viking-british-accent-magic-science-elegance. jötunheim, in the comics, is often portrayed as a less intelligent, cutthroat, barbaric, and bloodthirsty culture.
"There was always something unknown and uniquely different about Orients which reinforced the distinction between the European 'us' and Asian 'them.'" [²]
the green link in particular comes with a helpful tool for anyone who might be inexperienced in spotting racist themes in media. if you have trouble being confident that the media in question is orientalism, this link comes with a checklist scale to score how likely it is to be an offensive depiction.
an example that most of you will be familiar with is Disney's Aladdin (1992). the green link goes much more in-depth about the intricacies of Aladdin's orientalism, and i heavily HEAVILY encourage you to read it, as it will help fully grasp the way fetishization and demonization go hand in hand in orientalism.
here, i'd also like to use it as a comparison to show why this loki stuff is honestly... egregious.
by now, even the visuals here should seem very familiar.
the source goes on to use arranged marriage as an example of a common "trope" in orientalist fiction. as previously stated, i don't consume thorki fiction. however, i am EXTREMELY confident in making the guess that it tends to be a common theme when jötun loki is paired with an aesir thor.
i'd also heavily recommended this article and this wikipedia page, both on the negative and stereotypical portrayals of romani people; loki is a magic user, and i suspect that one of the reasons there is such heavy use of these appropriated, exaggerated, and fetishized themes and visuals is because of the demonization of romani people as tricksters, thieves, and witches.

it’s a shame that after Tom King’s Strange Adventures clearly positioned Mr Terrific as the clear avenue character for DC to do modern sci-fi adventure stories, they still never choose to do anything fun or worthwhile with the guy outside of the short lived Terrifics and lame ass JSA stuff. he’s SEVERELY underutilized and i’d love for Waid to have him be a big part of the new JL run. personal thoughts on the guy?
I love Holt because he’s such an American character.
We Americans love our trash talkers. Oh we publicly make a big deal about the need to stay humble and respectful, but don’t believe that for a second. Look at our heroes and icons! Only thing Americans really respect are winners, and we love winners who can walk their talk. Michael Holt comes from the proud tradition of American heroes who can do just that. He’s incredibly smart and he knows it. He’s fantastically competent and he shows it. He’s Mr. Terrific! - able to cut through the bullshit with his mind or his fists as need be. And he doesn’t take crap from anyone.
Like Hal Jordan or Barry Allen before him, Holt might not be the first character to hold the mantle, but he’s the one who made folks respect the name. No offense to the Terry Sloane fans out there (if you exist), but there’s a reason Holt is the only Mr. Terrific who ever gets used. He’s simply cooler than his predecessor in every way. His backstory, his design, his attitude, his powers, despite sharing the name I even hesitate to call Holt a “legacy character”. He’s more in the vein of a Hal Jordan, taking the title but reinventing the concept, than a Barry Allen or Wally West who is steadfastly trying to live up to a pre-existing ideal. How many people even know that Holt wasn’t the first Mr. Terrific? Who would care if they did know?
Holt is living in the timeline that John Stewart fans wish they had gotten after the DCAU. Far as the general public is concerned, there’s only one Mr. Terrific. Which I would be happy to see DC continue to act as if that were the case, I know this rubs against how most people view legacy as central to DC, but I don’t believe that any story about Holt “struggling” to live up to his predecessor’s example will ring true. Besides, it’s unnecessary.
Mr. Terrific already has plenty of baggage on his own to deal with. His unresolved trauma over the deaths of his wife and their baby, his mentally disabled older brother dying young also, his need to excel at anything he sets his mind to, his atheism in a universe where the gods are not only real but actively involved, the all but stated fact that he might be smarter than Bruce and Lex, but put himself in third place to not attract attention, and leading his own team the Terrifics. Returning to OP’s statement, I too bemoan Holt being trapped on the Boomer Squadron. Yes it’s expected given Geoff Johns created him to be part of the team in the first place, but like Wally on the Titans, Holt has outgrown his original team.
Making him the leader of his own team simply makes sense. Unlike most of his peers you can justify all sorts of adventures for Holt on the basis of SCIENCE! or simple adventure-seeking. The JL are not wont to taking field trips but the Terrifics have no problem doing that. Holt became an Olympian athlete simply to prove he could. He’s exactly the type of character who can easily justify a trip to space or through time simply because he felt like doing that. DC made it explicit but Holt always has been the natural counterpart to Marvel’s Reed Richards.
DC struggles to create teams that don’t languish in the shadow of the League. No matter the protestations to the contrary the Titans and the JSA absolutely are stuck in said shadow. Mr. Terrific and his Terrifics however don’t have to be. Market them as explorers and adventurers rather than crime fighters and they would have a niche that isn’t covered by anyone else at DC, with a mandate to go anywhere and do anything.

Undead Unluck ch.202 thoughts
[Wake-Up Call]
(Contents: battle analysis - Language/Ichico/Nico, speculation - Feng)
NO! DIGNITY! FOR! FENG!!!
I don't care what happens in the rest of this fight, Feng getting dragged in half-naked, unconscious and drooling is the funniest thing that could have possibly happened in this moment, and I love it. Keep pushin' this man down the stairs, Tozuka, you'll only make me love him more
As much as I want to go on a tirade about how endearing L101 Feng is compared to the psychopath from L100, there's a good handful of details in this chapter that I want to focus on
For me, the detail that stuck out the most in my mind is the fact that Lan created a loophole to circumvent the "N" rule in Shiritori. So long as the Japanese word doesn't end in "N," it's fair game, and I'm willing to bet that even if she does end with the Japanese "N," she'll say that she still has a valid move with the other language word, so it's valid. With this knowledge, the already unbalanced game has tipped even further in Lan's favor, which rang a very familiar bell for me: "You're a UMA and you can't even follow the rules?" Nico once praised UMA conceptually for their adherence to rules, that they must abide by the changes to science that they embody, and yet both Ghost and Language have demonstrated that they aren't above cheating, both in regards to Nico specifically
Lan's ability to conjure things that don't exist with properties that they otherwise shouldn't have (Shenlong is a storm dragon, and yet she made it breathe fire 🙄) pretty squarely lands her among the category of "unscientific Rules," which L100 Nico bluntly declared were "an enemy to science and to [him]." Basically, Lan can just make up whatever she wants; things don't have to be accurate so long as she can imagine them working in her favor. Sure, it's better if she can justify a thought, like creating the Lance of Longinus rather than just a regular lance, but even then, the Lance of Longinus is really just a regular lance that was used in an important moment. I guess maybe it's an Artifact with special properties, but it's noticeably lacking the stylized Fu (不) kanji that is typically indicative of Artifacts, so I think she's deliberately basing it off the legend and attributing special abilities to it because of its notoriety
In short, Lan can just headcanon whatever she wants into existence as long as she can justify it contextually. She mentions the Shinto concept of "kotodama," the idea that words have power in and of themselves, and is using it to enhance her concepts. In the first round, she created a meteor and specified that it was made of iron so that it would have maximum offensive output...for a normal meteor. If, however, she had the opportunity to say a word like, oh, I don't know...Chicxulub Impactor? She would still be summoning a meteor, but she'd also be summoning the meteor. The prototypical idea of how dangerous meteors can be, the accepted cause of the extinction of the dinosaurs! Now, maybe she wouldn't have been able to summon a meteor with quite that much destructive power, or she'd be worried about getting caught in the blast, but theoretically that would have been pretty much a game-ender
Picking a word with a clear definition is one thing, but picking one with a specific connotation? In a fight between imaginations, word association is a powerful tool, which I think is why Ichico's Umibozu ended up being such a weak defense against Shenlong. She was just scrambling for any mythological creature, but she doesn't seem to have any idea what an Umibozu is or what it's capable of. Dragons are associated with destruction and fire and invulnerability, and just about anyone can tell you that, but Umibozu are pretty specific; they sink ships. Ichico doesn't seem to know that, and in fact didn't even imagine the generally accepted shape of an Umibozu, instead making something that looks more akin to an oni or maybe a namahage. Some fans have speculated that Ichico, living in Britain, may be a diaspora and unfamiliar with her Japanese heritage, but regardless, she's definitely unfamiliar with her peoples' mythology. If she had been, not only could she have at least made an Umibozu that was the right shape and size, she might even have chosen something more appropriate for fighting a dragon - from Shen Long's [G], Ichico would have been better served summoning [G]rass Cutter, or Kusanagi no Tsurugi, a weapon associated with the slaying of Yamata no Orochi and which was said to have been used to control wind in order to divert flames, giving it a clear advantage against both Shenlong's scales and fire breath
Buuut that's not what happened, and Ichico's inability to think of a proper word had the narrative utility of A) showing that she could participate too, B) showing how souls can be damaged during this game of Shiritori, and C) giving Nico a bit of a push towards being able to perceive souls. The idea that the imaginary can be made manifest in this game is clearly starting to have something of an effect on Nico's perceptions, and Ichico summoning a knock-off Umibozu without his being aware of it is the most concrete evidence he's gotten so far that Ichico is present at all (aside from moving the Psycho Pods last week). The more evidence he has of her presence, the more willing he'll be to believe in souls, and eventually he'll just accept them and be able to interact with them normally
Once Nico fully accepts souls, he'll have a much easier time damaging Lan; we've already established that hitting her with lightning won't cut it, so nearly any other physical attack is going to similarly fail. However, damaging her soul will be much more effective, since that's a more direct source of her life and power. In fact, she practically told us that her soul is her weakness: "kotodama," the soul of words. The words she summons with her imagination carry her soul in them. Beast summoned, controlled, and assimilated beasts by extending his soul to them and devouring parts of theirs, so it would make sense if Lan's words aren't just summons, but constructs made of her very soul. I'm sure it's a bit more complex than that, since none of Nico's words hurt himself and the meteor's destruction didn't hurt Lan, but at the very least, things that don't already exist seem to tie directly to the user's soul. Feng defeating Shenlong will likely prove this hypothesis next week
Speaking of Feng! While I'm sure many people are upset that Tella didn't end up teaming up with Nico, there really isn't anyone more perfect for this fight now that we understand the mechanics of it
Sure, Feng doesn't really seem to be the imaginative type, nor does he have literally any linguistic capabilities beyond Mandarin, but A) he's the best hand-to-hand fighter in the entire series, making him excellent for both offense and defense against whatever Lan is liable to throw at the team, and B) he's the only other character outside of the current arc to ever acknowledge souls. If the main goal of this fight is to further the collective understanding of souls, then giving Nico access to both of the L101 Negators with explicit understanding of their souls is absolutely the ideal path. Not only will Feng likely give Nico a method of actually communicating with Ichico, but we're also most likely finally going to understand what L100 Feng meant by "I've got the hang of this soul thing." Even if the current Feng hasn't actually learned it though and his line about "having a firm grasp on [his] soul" was unrelated, this is still a fantastic opportunity for him to retroactively learn that lesson
Also! Going back to the idea of kotodama, one common application of the concept that you're all likely familiar with is the kiai, the spirited shout that martial artists perform during strikes. As near as I can find, Chinese martial arts don't have a term for it, but the custom is still practiced, the idea being that the shout invigorates the attacker and intimidates the defender, increasing the power behind the attack. Stating attack names also fulfills this purpose, so even if Feng doesn't understand the core concept of kotodama, merely giving his strikes a name should exponentially increase their effectiveness against Lan, as their identification should give Feng a clearer image of their intended outcome. A Zessho Hohou should be able to pierce right through her body no problem, and a Hakkai Zanko would probably send her to meet Luna
Again though, this is just speculation, and things will likely end up going much differently. Still, if I've illustrated anything here, I hope it's that Feng's presence has a lot more potential beyond "strongest fighter defends physically weakest fighters." Honestly, the thing I'm most excited about beyond the power development is seeing how Feng interacts with Nico specifically, cus that's a duo I never expected to see and I have zero clue how it's going to go down
Until next time, let's enjoy life!

Airhead Part 4
My schedule the following week was insanely jam packed. It was as if all of my professors congregated to drop an assignment nuke on us. I had about 10 different assignments to complete, 3 of them were Heimerdinger’s. He drove me nuts. I had a feeling that he only became a college professor to stroke his own ego;surround himself with others who were “less intelligent” than him to make himself feel superior. I’m pretty sure it was compensation for his height. He was as tall as a stepping stool. I don’t think there was one person in our class that liked him. The moment his name was mentioned, faces would scrunch as if they just caught a whiff of rancid garbage mixed with sulfur on a hot summer's eve.
I was drowning. I was back where I started, semi clueless. Humpledink must’ve had a sixth sense knowing I was receiving help and decided to bump up the difficulty of the material. Either that, or it was my own fault for daydreaming in class. Those baby blue clouds were still vivid in my mind. I’ve been thinking about her ever since. I didn’t have the courage to reach out to her, even though I wanted to. A part of me was super nervous to even see her again. I kept running through possible scenarios of us studying together, a lot of them were painfully cringey. My biggest worry of them all was that it was going to be mega awkward.
I sat at my desk, staring at my science assignment, my hands tangled in my hair with frustration. I reread the first question at least ten times and I still didn’t understand what he was asking. Why was this so fucking difficult?! I groaned and gently knocked my forehead against my desk. I kept my head pressed against the wood, drumming my fingers against my skull. I inhaled deeply, running the idea through my head a few times before exhaling. That's it. I had to bite the possibly awkward bullet and let Jinx know I needed help.
Once again, I stood in front of Vi and Jinx’s home, only this time I ditched the weighted backpack and just brought my laptop. I figured I’d travel light in case I needed to make a run for it again-which I promised myself I wouldn’t. I was crushing hard on her. How did I expect to get close if I put distance between us? I gave the front door a solid few knocks and glanced down at the familiar cursive words beneath my feet. They needed to toss this damn thing, it didn’t match the vibe on the inside. I wasn’t a fan of cheesy suburban white mom decor. No offense.
I heard the door unlock, my eyes still glaring at the jute mat. I adjusted my laptop in my arms, silently taking a deep breath to soothe my nerves. With what little courage I managed to summon, I lifted my foot off the porch step, but immediately froze once I took notice of who answered. Jinx stood in the doorway wearing an oversized white t-shirt, a mischievous grin plastered on her lips. Her hair, no longer in braids, fell to her ankles like silky curtains. I swallowed hard. Could this girl be anymore attractive?
“H-hi.” I stammered, trying my best to keep my composure as my eyes ping ponged from her’s to her legs to my feet. Not even a couple of seconds in and I already feel like I’m making a fool of myself. Nice one Y/N.
“Hey Y/N.” She greeted me in a husky tone, pushing the door open wider to let me in. “Let’s get to it.” She smiled and flipped her hair over her shoulder as she started down the hallway, leaving me stunned at the door. I stood on the front porch watching her hips slightly sway with each step. Damn. I cleared my throat and furrowed my brows, reeling my eyes back into my sockets. I needed to chill. I was here for a study session, not a simp session.
I stepped inside, softly closing the door behind me. Eager to be close to my blue hair crush, I kicked my shoes off near the rack and walked down the hall with haste. I felt like I was gonna puke. I entered the living room, gripping the life out of my laptop. There she was, sitting comfortably on the far end of the couch, one foot propped up on the cushion, the other planted on the floor. Suddenly, studying became a distant memory as my eyes hungrily scanned the blue haired angel, tracing her tattoos yet again. I desperately wanted to touch them. I bet she was as soft as she looked.
“You ready?” Jinx asked, twirling her hair around her finger, a devious smirk still plastered. Something told me she knew I had the hots for her. Anyone with eyeballs could tell. I made it painfully obvious. I was never great at hiding my true feelings, especially when I was embarrassed. My facial flushing always gave it away. It wasn’t a cute pink tint either. My cheeks would go redder than the devil’s ass cheeks. I’d be shit out of luck if I wanted to pursue professional poker.
“Mhm.” I murmured, sitting on the opposite end of the couch as her, my hands slightly trembling as I opened my laptop to turn it on.
From my peripheral vision, I noticed Jinx staring at me, still twirling her long bluenette locks around her index finger. Avoiding her obvious gaze, I kept my eyes forward, intensely staring at my laptop’s update screen as if it was the most interesting thing in the room. Of course it would be updating right this second. I tapped my fingertips lightly against the touchpad, hoping my taps would encourage my hunk of junk to update faster.
“Technical difficulties?” Jinx questioned with a small chuckle, scooching a tad closer to me to inspect my screen. My mouth felt like the desert.
“Yeah…I’ve had this thing for a while. I’ve been denying the updates for so long I guess it finally had enough.” I laughed nervously, bouncing my leg slightly as I watched the update percentage rise slowly. I cupped my hands around the back of my neck and let my elbows fall. Safe to say it was time for a new computer.
I felt Jinx shift on the couch, causing my specific cushion to sink a bit on the side. Before I could even glance over at her, her legs stretched out across my lap, on top of the laptop.
“Oh!” I gasped, my eyes darting back and forth between her silky smooth legs and my piece of shit laptop. At that moment, I didn’t give a damn if the thing fell to the ground and shattered into a million pieces if it meant staying in our current position.
“Whaddya think?” Jinx asked, her hands dragging the hem of her oversized white shirt upwards, revealing her upper thighs. “I’m thinking about getting more tattoos, but I’m not sure what to get yet.”
I stared at her legs, my mouth slightly agape as I studied the blue clouds that traveled up her right leg. I gulped, unsure of what to do or say, this was so abrupt. The only thought that bounced around was to let my hands fall onto her beautiful legs. Using what little courage I had in me, my eyes traveled up her legs towards her thighs, stopping briefly at her pastel lavender underwear that was slightly visible before finally meeting her eyes.
“They’re…” I started, my eyes taking a quick peek at her underwear again before looking back at her. “They’re great.”
Jinx chuckled dryly and laid down on her back, not once removing her eyes from mine.
“Ya think so?” She definitely knew. I already knew I was crimson red, that was a no brainer. It was a dead give away at this point. I nodded, still staring into her blue orbs. Jinx found the hem of her shirt again, rubbing the fabric in between her fingers for a moment before slowly lifting her shirt up even more, her underwear fully visible at this point.
My body tensed as I felt the full weight of her legs on mine. I glanced at my laptop, slightly hoping the update was complete as an excuse to collect myself. Ironically, the percentage was at 69%. I felt myself blush even harder as an intrusive thought conjured after seeing the sexually coded number. What the hell was even happening? Looking back over, Jinx’s shirt was now lifted up high enough for me to see everything up to her collar bones.
“I think it suits me. What do you think, Y/N?” She questioned as she slightly moved her left leg against my stomach. Holy hell I was going to explode if she kept touching me.
“Yeah, I agree…” I trailed off. I felt like a horny teenage boy as I drooled over her figure, mentally marking the parts of her I wanted to kiss the most.
Jinx quickly sat up, her legs still weighted on mine and leaned against the back of the couch, her face mere inches from mine.
“What’s wrong?” Her tone was playful. I glanced at the laptop, checking the percentage. It was stalling at 99%. Come on you stupid piece of shi-
Jinx removed her legs off of me and stood up from the couch, almost knocking the computer off my lap in the process. She stood in front of me with her arms crossed as her eyes traveled from my face down to my laptop. Her face was hard to read, the smirk she was wearing was replaced with a more neutral expression. I had no idea what was going on inside of her mind and that scared me.
I looked back at the screen and a wave of relief washed over me. The update finally finished, the screen now displaying the home screen. I opened my mouth to say something, but Jinx took the computer off my lap and placed it next to me. I raised an eyebrow in question, watching as she slowly took a step forward, placing her hands on either side of my head, her palms against the back of the couch.
“Do you think we should study later?” Jinx asked in a sultry voice, her face leaning closer to mine. My heart was pounding. Was she about to kiss me? Our lips, centimeters from touching, a sudden annoying beeping sound echoed throughout the living room. I pulled back from her face and looked around for the source.
“Get up.” Jinx said sternly. I furrowed my brows, unsure of what she meant. “Get up.” She repeated as she pushed off the couch.
My eyes shot open, my eyes darting around my surroundings. I was in my bedroom. Holy shit, that was a dream?

Today, I experienced a rather strange and unpleasant situation. As a huge fan of the series "Wednesday" on Netflix and a supporter of the Weyler relationship, I enjoy meeting people who have also watched the series to respectfully exchange viewpoints.
It turns out that a friend introduced me to a girl, a friend of his. But she's not just any friend; in Spanish, especially in Argentina, we call these types of girls "Amiguitas," because they are not really friends but girls who are in love with a guy and are in the friendzone, yet clearly want something more.
Returning to the topic, I went to deliver some university books she needed to this girl, but from the very first moment, I noticed she gave me a cold look when my friend said, "This is Anya, and she also likes the series 'Wednesday'." I thought to myself, "She's going to be my friend."
We started talking, but she never dropped her passive-aggressive attitude towards me, although I decided to let it go. However, things took a turn when I mentioned that I ship Tyler and Wednesday, don't like Xavier, and adore the friendship between "Chica Sol and Chica Luna," referring to Enid and Wednesday.
That's when everything escalated. She started saying that for her, Wednesday is aromantic asexual and that if she had a partner, she would be a lesbian because she seems to like Enid. Furthermore, she claimed that Tyler is not a victim but the villain, and Xavier is misunderstood, and I was wrong and didn't understand the series. She even insulted me, calling me stupid.
In the face of her aggression, my friend stayed silent. Although I'm not one to confront people, this time I couldn't hold back, and I replied, "First, don't shout at me because I'm speaking to you respectfully. Second, we're talking about a teenage series on Netflix, not Marx's 'Manifesto of the Communist Party'; it's not nuclear science to understand it. If you don't see Tyler as a victim, it worries me because you don't grasp the violence an abused person experiences. As for your views on Wednesday's sexual orientation, it's okay to have a different headcanon than mine, but we should respect each other's opinions. At the moment, canonically in the series, feelings between Wednesday and Tyler have been shown."
After that, I asked my friend to let me leave that uncomfortable situation, and I departed. I feel bad for losing my temper with an 18-year-old girl when I'm 25, but her comments were too offensive. I hope we can find more constructive ways to share opinions and respect differences in the future.
Let's also remember that everyone can have their headcanons about a character, a pairing, etc. We have no right to disrespect the headcanons, ships, or opinions of others. Let's create a healthy community.

Some Atreus love. (Ambrosia)
Felt like writing some time skip Atreus stuff! I have no idea if this is even canon in the AU. It just felt weird to leave him out of the last fic for so much of it, so I had to dabble in what he’d be like in the AU. That’s right baby we’re doing AUs of the AU now! 🍞🥐🫓
Spoilers? Maybe? Idk 🤷♀️
Atreus and Thrud sat together on the worn wooden bench outside their school, the midday sun warming their faces. Thrud finished off her soda and with no hesitation, lay her head down onto Atreus’s lap. He glanced down at her with a raised eyebrow but continued peeling the orange in his hands, his fingers deftly pulling away the skin in long strips.
Thrud, lazily lifting her hand, signed, •I need your science notes. Forgot mine•
Atreus rolled his eyes, a familiar reaction, and kept peeling the orange. He was used to this by now — her last-minute requests, her confident demands that always felt more like statements than questions.
•Please?• she added, batting her eyelashes exaggeratedly from his lap.
Atreus finally smirked and glanced down at her, shaking his head. He signed back, •You're impossible.•
Thrud just grinned, shifting slightly to get more comfortable. After a moment, she raised her hands again. •Are you coming to my volleyball game this weekend? I'm going to destroy the entire team.•
Atreus hesitated, then set the orange on her forehead with a gentle plop. Thrud's eyes widened in mock offense as she watched him sign. •I can’t. I’m working at the bakery this weekend, I told my dad I’d help him replace an oven.•
Thrud visibly groaned, rolling her eyes. •Ugh, fine. I ought to report your dad to my dad for child labor violations.•
Atreus huffed a laugh, a breathy string of sounds he felt embarrassed to expose around other people. Thrud immediately looked up at him, a soft expression and an even softer smile fanned across her face as she watched him.
He picked the orange back up from her forehead. Thrud, not missing a beat, belched loudly in his face and then blew her breath at him like she was blowing out birthday candles. Atreus wrinkled his nose, signing, •Gross.•
Without warning, he ripped the last of the peel from the orange and dropped it directly onto her face. Thrud winced, then burst into laughter, swatting at the peel as it fell into her lap.
The way she laughed, though he couldn’t hear it, filled the space between them. He could see the joy in her eyes, the way her whole face lit up, and for a moment, he wished he could know that sound.
He felt caught between the comfort of their friendship and something heavier—something he couldn't quite name but felt growing all the same.
Atreus popped a slice of orange into his mouth and handed another to Thrud, who took it without hesitation and popped it into hers. They continued like this, passing the fruit back and forth in comfortable silence until Skjöldr trudged over. With a heavy sigh, he collapsed beside them, his disheveled hair and slumped posture speaking volumes.
Thrud glanced up from Atreus’s lap, signing and speaking aloud for Atreus’s benefit, “So? What did you get?”
Skjöldr groaned dramatically before suddenly raising his voice with mock enthusiasm, “One hundred!”
Thrud signing everything to Atreus.
He pulled out the crumpled test from his backpack, revealing the harsh reality: a bold red “32%” scribbled at the top.
Atreus couldn’t help but smile, signing quickly, •It’s alright. You did your best.•
Thrud, always quick with the banter, laughed and signed her own exaggerated version to Skjöldr, “Atreus says it’s not your fault you’re an idiot.”
Skjöldr huffed in mock offense, crumpling up the test and throwing it at Atreus’s head, the paper ball bouncing harmlessly off. He then reached for Thrud’s hands, helping her to her feet with ease.
As Thrud laughed and bantered with Skjöldr, Atreus watched their lips move. The words didn’t reach him, not through sound or sign, and he felt the subtle, familiar sensation of being on the outside looking in. Their private conversation hummed between them, and for a moment, he was invisible.
Thrud turned around and caught his gaze, signing quickly and with a grin, •Don’t forget the notes.•
He nodded, the slight smile on his face fading as he watched the romantic couple walk away hand in hand.
Atreus sighed deeply, tilting his head back to stare at the sky. The clouds drifted lazily overhead, and a cool breeze brushed against his face. He savored the feel before the buzz of his phone interrupted the moment.
Pulling it from his back pocket, he saw a text notification from his dad. Atreus rolled his eyes, already expecting a reminder about work or some chore. But just as he was about to read it, another notification appeared at the top of his screen. This one from Sindri. Without hesitation, he swiped his dad’s text away and opened Sindri’s message, leaning forward in anticipation, his heart beating just a bit faster.
