Atp show! Aemond is literally nothing but a bullied incel who become a mass shooter because his friends teased him once uwu. This is something pulled out from a redpill page or smth . Ryan keeps projecting so hard to the point he isn't writing Aemond Targaryen anymore but his revenge power fantasy.
Anon, I have so many issues with the whole bullying thing being used as an excuse for the murder of ones own brother. It does reek of a redpill school shooter power fantasy, and it's not just cringe (although it is that), the way Aemond is framed as the cool badass one really perpetuates some awful stereotypes. Aemond feels ripped from early 2000s post-Columbine teen movie, right down to the BTS quotes about "don't laugh at Aemond." Okay bro, calm the fuck down. The thing is, they are not even trying with Aemond's motivation, it's basic edgy teen nonsense, and yet a certain type of person who wants to project their own childhood bullying story all over Aemond will eat it right up and suddenly the homicidal maniac is the big victim here. There's more I could say but I'm too annoyed at this point to be more coherent about it.

@leonardalphachurch ASK AND YE SHALL RECEIVE (in reference to this post)
Donut thinks his fursona is a red wolf, all handsome charm and roguish double’o’donut vibe but NO he’s a collie to me, specifically a rough/scots collie— he’s pretty he’s fluffy, he does good work but theres nothing behind those eyes affectionately. Also he likes to be told when he’s a good boy DOING A GOOD JOB
Tumblr media
Grif… would not make a fursona for himself, but I think Kai makes one for him a-la garfield (fat orange cat) and he appreciates the Iconic humor of it at least and u know what i do think kai is right in the cat aspect but more maine coon less garfield (still fat tho /pos)- the kind of big lazy cat that make you do a double take bc like is that a big house cat or a bobcat, ya know?
Tumblr media
Simmons does not Want a Fursona thank you very much he’s not Weird (tm) I'm telling you, he is a chihuahua. Puntsized ball of anxiety that bites and thinks its meaner than he is(but still pretty capable of being a mean little bastard, just,, not as big of one as he thinks)
Tumblr media
Sarge Knows his fursona is a bald eagle. Bc its American. Patriotic! Sounds like a red hawk! Even better! He’s a pitbull— big brick of a head, mean reputation, but he’s a protective kind of caring at heart and u know he’s got that Iconic pittie grin
Tumblr media
Lopez is hard, honestly, and if you asked him youd either get No Answer, or something thrown at you i think but like his fursona is like transformer mech bullshit that no one ever wants to draw and if you commissioned it you get like 20+ complex design additional charges because the rivets have to be 100% accurate and if they arent he would Know, its not even a fursona really at this point its just a cool mech body he wont ever build bc he doesnt trust anyone else to not fucking break it but emotionally its his fursona - the fursona I assign him is a remote control warthog, bc im sorry dude but i cannot give you a proper fursona to save my life my brain just refuses to do it so, goofy shit it is
Tumblr media
SHEILA is, wonderfully, a sea turtle. Specifically i’m partial to a leatherback for her just for the scale factor alone but just the vibe in general of just,, seat turtle fits her idk how to describe it. In character, i do think she would misunderstand the assignment and just be like “oh! Im a Scorpion” bc thats the casual term for the M808B main battle tank in halo
Tumblr media
Church(A), like simmons, REFUSES to even Consider it (epsilon considers it a Lot okay, theta’s got some cool design concepts but keep it on the dl bud) but i think he’s gotta be idog from the early 2000s. But like an edgy one the kind that were born of 12 yearolds traced over google images of the normal ones and recolored into Original Characters (i think their shape is based on beagles iirc??? Or labs), but yeah those things. If pressed, epsilon auto answers wolf but in that asshole way that sounds like he’s being a dick about it but no thats his actual answer
Tumblr media
Caboose is a great dane. He’s just Great like that!! Yay! Friend shaped, really not used to being uhh mindful of his size and strength but loyal and protective ya know?? He's the only one who i think would correctly clock his own fursona on the first try
Tumblr media
Tex would claim something badass like a tiger or something, but she’s like,,, a mockingbird :) i mean it IS the state bird of texas, and well... shes not a mockery of anything but she isnt the og either, ya know
Tumblr media
Tucker claims a fox, because he’s sly and bitches Love foxes but to me?? Bluejay. Brightly colored, loud, mean little corvid asshole. Too damn clever for his own good- i would also maybe give him peacock or kingfisher if feeling more like,, flamboyant but he just feels very jay to me. maybe its the corvid bastard thing, or the bluejay in my backyard choosing the tree by my window as prime screaming spot for 6 am yelling for like a month but the vibe is there
Tumblr media
Kai has so many furry characters. With the worst application of color theory known to man but somehow it works for her brand??? Sparkle dogs man, the woman is made for making sparkle dogs!! If i assign her cat to match grif, it'd specifically the kind of like bengal, this cat climbs walls kind of cat you know?? Zoomies all day every day! BUt i think more accurately to Kai as a person? Raccoon. Mischief and little grabby bastard hands and she would love it
Tumblr media
Washington, if asked would shrug and say probably a cat bc u know, nine lives and all that- no. Im sorry cat wash truthers I respect cat wash, but nah Washington is a dog boy to me im sorry and specifically he’s a little Jack Russell terrier thats fast and vicious but man sometimes u gotta remember he’s like,,, he’s smaller than a cat man you gotta give him some help ya know?? Dont make him do it alone!!!
.......Or a horse i dont know how to elaborate on that one just,,, trust me
Tumblr media
Carolina is oblivious to the concept of fursonas almost entirely, but she’s a greyhound and you know im right
Tumblr media
Locus is genuinely the hardest one to place and i dont think he’d come up with a fursona for himself, but he gets assigned wolf by Donut i feel it, the whole lone wolf thing he has going and all during his redemption! Which honestly???? Maybe yeah? An argument could be made for another working dog (HELLO German Shepards my god) (context here: i had a german shepard/corgi mix, he was my lil guy, he was too damn smart for his own good and patrolled the back yard fence up until he couldnt keep his hips underneath himself anymore and then! He! kept! trying! So yes that does influence my input on german shepard locus) i just struggle to see locus as a dog???? Dogs are very high energy which -gestures to red team- but locus rarely has that same baseline energy i associate with dogs??? He’s hard to pin down and i’ve yet to manage it but im partial to something arboreal,,, the first thing that comes to mind on that train of thought is a binturong and i lost it imagining that so sure we'll go with that i have a lot of thoughts about locus
Tumblr media
Felix wouldve loved the energy of being like the lucky cat with nine lives. I personally dont care for felix, but he would be that guy with like, its not a proper fursona bc he wouldnt b caught dead calling it that, but he has a fursona for scamming people and driving up the prices on auctions for no reason other than to fuck with people when he's bored. I subscribe to weasel/ferret Felix personally, specifically a yellow bellied weasel bc theres just,, honestly the name amuses me with the implications. He’s difficult to catch and handle, energetic and gets into shit no one wants him getting to. It fits
Tumblr media
Doyle is a mouse, maybe MAYBE a rabbit, he doesnt know what fursonas are either but he just checks the mouse box for me personally,, very holdable, but skittish and might still bite you if u scare him bad enough
Tumblr media
Dr Emily Grey does not have a fursona but she does think theyre neat and has let her patients all give her one, tho none of them agree on what she is. I think she's a shrike, specifically a great grey shrike! they're VICIOUS little birds, who dont look like much but they regularly hunt shit twice their size and are also known for impaling bugs on thorns and like, barbed wire?? theyre neat, and technically i think they count as corvids? clever little hunting machines
Tumblr media
Kimball is definitely a german shepard tho like while im on the fence about it for Locus, there is no question about it for her she checks the boxes fits the vibe right down to the way she guards the new republic and chorus with her heart just under her sleeve
Tumblr media
Sharkface. Shark. I mean….really. SPECIFICALLY THO a tiger shark tho, and he would absolutely be a dick if you implied a great white or a megalodon would be “better” bc no tiger sharks are exactly the kind of shark he should be thank you VERY much
Tumblr media
thats everyone i have STRONG fursona assignment feelings for, and some are more flexible than others or more solid in some cases but YEAH! i think about this shit. a lot sidebar: i think the chorusans who know and are open about fursonas would probably use weird alien animals from chorus when picking them which makes this harder for them specifically bc the ones who would have fursonas arent limited to earth animals
all images are from the wiki pages for the animals! except for lopez. thats from the amazon page for the warthog

I’m a simple gal I see GOT au and DC and I come RUNNING!!!! I’ve tried developing my own DC x GoT au and id love to hear more if you want to share!!!
I have a few ideas floating around my head for some of the batfam characters, nothing too concrete tho.
I imagine Bruce to be a lord of the north (mainly because I feel like the north fits gotham and the atmosphere the best. Something about all the dark clothing just fits the grim vibes) although I got a good comment talking about his no kill rule! So perhaps he could be like all edgy no kill because of his parents being dead. Alfred is an ex knight for the throne , also friends with his father that became his personal guard , and after Bruce s parents were murdered, chose to take care and raise Bruce in the North.
Tumblr media
Dick's family was part of a travelling performers group travelling around Westeros. Bruce happened to pass by and notice one of their shows, I imagine his parents being killed or something just like Bruce's, then Bruce starts his orphan adopting hobby and takes Dick in.
Tumblr media
Jason's father was part of a thief gang to try to provide a better life for his family. This works for a while until they get caught and imprisoned/ killed by whoever busts then/ something. Catherine Todd dies or an illness. Jason is left fending for his own, starts pickpocketing. Bruce finds him while he's trying to steal something packed on his horse and ends up adopting him. Still working on his death/ resurrection (I feel like they're a big part of his character and I want to add that)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tim's parents were merchants. Possibly knew Bruce . Tim was a secret dick fanboy because of his traveling performer era (thought he was really cool and badass). Some more death and adoption.
Tumblr media
I haven't fully thought about Damian s backstory yet and the relationship between Talia and Bruce, since I like the idea of them being from Essos , but that's what i have for him so far. Speaking high Valyrian and some other languages, accent while speaking in English ✨
Tumblr media
I haven't come up with anything for Cass, Steph and duke yet

Tekken 8 - Anti Reina Mishima Stamp(Rant) Huge Tekken 8 Spoilers!
This is gonna piss off Reina fans, but just a friendly reminder..... this is my opinion. If you love her, go on a page that praises her. You won't get it here. Alright here goes.
I was playing Tekken 8 at my friend's house. It was a fun time, and the story has improved from Tekken 7 (with the bland, monotone narrator gone, thank god) and..... Tekken 6 (ugh!) but has a few flaws.
The biggest flaw which almost ruined Tekken 8 for me, was this character, called Reina Mishima.
This is without a doubt, one of the most poorly written female characters I have ever seen in my entire life.
You mean to tell me that Lucky Chloe gets shit from Tekken fans, but Reina Mishima gets a free pass? WTF? I mean I am not a fan of Lucky Chloe (ok her character design is cute, but she is abusive AF to Eddie T.T) but at least she wasn't a forced and contrived, plot device character like Reina, and is just a dumb troll character from the creator, as a middle finger to their haters that really hated her guts.
Like you think Rey from Star Wars, Disney Remake Mulan, Bella Swan, or Captain Marvel were bad?
Well, that is nothing comparred to this DeviantArt OC, Mary-Sue reject.
So Reina is the daughter of Heihachi Mishima. (Oh, so we are doing the Lars Alexandersson plot-twist, from Tekken 6 again, in 2024... aka lazy, repetitive writing for Tekken 8 when it comes to introducing new characters... got it 👍)
My issues with her that makes her a poorly written character is that:
-She is a flawless fighter, like Disney remake's Mulan bad. I know she is suppose to have flawless fighting moves like Heihachi, but good god, this is just embarrasing.
Edit: Ok, I understand that it is a fighting game, and the Mishima's are suppose to be powerful, badass fighters, so Reina should be no exception. Fair enough. I still think she is a self-insert character because she was just thrown into the story, with no buildup or references from previous games (Same issue I had with Lars in Tekken 6 btw, he just exists to replace Jin as a MC, and they made him a Mishima to make him more relavant, instead of him just standing out on his own as a character. I don't hate Lars btw, he has a cool character design, but the hair is riduclous, and I felt indifferent towards him at first, but now I kinda see him as a potential father figure to Jin in Tekken 8.)
-She is trying too hard to be a hardcore, edgy, tomboy, cool-looking version of Asuka, so I will call her the poor man's Asuka Kazama.
-Her character design and oufit is uninspired and too modern for my liking (Black boots, black short-shorts and A black and purple hoddie, huh.... how creative... -_-) oh and short black hair and purple streaks to add to the edgy, tomboy look. (Or the Karen look as I like to call it ^^)
-She is younger than Jin Kazama, YOUNGER! Despite being Jin's aunty. Yes, you heard correctly. I think the creators wanted a self-insert character to have some sort of sex appeal, which is why they made her look younger and prettier, and show off her legs (which gives me the ick.) And her calling Jin "Senpai" didn't help either.
(I also didn't like the fact the creators made Kazumi Mishima and Jun Kazama look younger than their own sons, like what is wrong with looking a bit older, mature and graceful? I actually want to see a badass, old lady in Tekken that can fight! Kazumi felt like a missed opportunity in that sense.)
-She manages to beat the shit out of Kazuya in her ending, despite her looking like a twig. Reminding me too much of something out Inuyasha, when that abusive, unbearable, bratty, girl Kagome would do the same thing to her love interest Inuyasha, for comedy! 🙄
I will admit that Kazuya is a shitty father (Sorry fans 😭 don't kill me) at least Kazuya has flaws, he is a damaged man, blinded by hatred, rage and has an obssession with power, like it's a drug to him. A wrathful devilman, but not completely heartless, otherwise he would just be another mini Heihachi.
Reina has no flaws, no personality, no interesting backstory and is just a pathetic Jerk-Sue Character (a Mary-Sue that is a Jerk, with no consequences for her actions.)
-She is also not a good plot-twist character either, again, she just ripped off Lars' backstory, so there is no originality from her.
-And to add to the cherry on top, when it comes to her being a poorly written, fanfic-styled Mary-Sue character, she is also....... a devil! 😈 Unless if it is revealed that she is Kazumi's daughter or something, then why the hell does she have to devil gene? And she wants to be the new Heihachi, huh? Wait till she finds out that Heihachi is the OG devil hater.
Terrible twist, terrible story, and a terrible first impression of Reina. 🤬 Fuck this character!

"fake" is definitely an underappreciated trope of doppelganger character i think. sure evil versions/shadow clones get cool edgy badass points and alt timeline guys are ripe for angst and plot contrivance, but there's nothing quite like something going "yeah we made a version of you that just fucking sucks. that's what we think of your stupid dumb shitty poo poo face. get doppelganged idiot."

I finished reading a book!
Ella Minnow Pea, a novel by Mark Dunn. It's about the title character, a young lady living in an island country. The crazies who rule over the island start banning the use of certain letters in writing and speech, one at a time - the first letter to go is Z, so Ella can no longer use words containing Z in her letters to her cousin. That's not so bad, but, as more letters are banned, it gets harder and harder to write and talk. When they ban D, for instance, the characters have trouble using the past tense, except for a handful of irregular verbs.
It was an interesting read, pretty short.
But, you know... the point of the story was pretty obvious - censorship is bad. Making it hard for people to use words is a way to make them easier to control. And I don't disagree. Still, it's a book with an interesting gimmick, and the fun of it is the later parts of the story, where you have to work hard to figure out what the characters mean through the convoluted words.
So it kind of defeats the point. There's a meme about Gundam, a show about robots.
Tumblr media
I've never seen it so I can't speak to how accurate it is, but I kind of feel like the guy who missed the point of the show in the meme. A lot of people are that way. They see a story, like a movie, where the point is something pretty obvious like "war is bad" or "censorship is bad", but just think it's a cool story.
So, someone made an answer to the meme:
Tumblr media
And yeah, that's a pretty fair criticism. If you don't want people to think something's super cool, maybe don't make it look super cool. Cause, you know, it's easy to profit off of that. And, you know, that's what attracts people to the story.
I think that, when so many people miss the point of a story, after a while, the creator is partly to blame. Maybe it's not a matter of intent, but of competence, in that way. And they make money when people consume the story regardless of whether they understand it or not.
Now, a really gruesome story is harder to sell. Showing how horrible war and censorship really are make for a really depressing story - one that comes with its own pitfalls about being misunderstood.
I have a real pet peeve regarding that type of stuff. A guy (you know who I'm talking about) makes a movie about the edgy badass that's not supposed to be idolized. But when someone complains that the badass is being idolized, people will rush to defend the movie - "no, you're missing the point, it was a criticism, not and endorsement, of that kind of behavior".
Nah, I'm not missing the point. I'm just saying the director did a bad job. Or, you know, considering how much money he made, had some ulterior motive.
P.S. - There's nothing in the book that actually says Ella wasn't white. I just assumed so since the island nation is on the southeastern coast of the US.

"like there is couple of people who are really obsessed with Nyx"
I can not even begin to describe how much I LOVE this short, angry, angsty, moody, edgy, emo, teenage, tiefling boy. I want to see him kick some ass and be a cool, badass, martial artist.
Whilst simultaneously grappling with the emotional baggage that comes with being abused for so long and at such a young age.
But it's okay because he has his loving found family, consisting of him and his pair of funny, short, blond, adopted dads. Who have absolutely no prior parenting experience whatsoever.
Talis and Asher care so much for him and do their absolute best. Yet Nyx acts like he doesn't care about them, BUT HE DOES.
He really cares about them, but he's just so scarred by the abuse of his prior family, that he's scared to be vulnerable with anyone else.
So instead of trying to push past his trauma and be a better person. He instead hides his emotional pain, behind a cold and uncaring exterior.
He wants to be seen as this strong intimidating threat so badly but in reality, he just wants to be surrounded by people that love and care for him.
People that treat him as an equal. People that see him as more than just a nothing, worthless nobody.
To get out of his family's shadow and carve his own place in life and to be something instead of nothing.
I need to see Nyx at his lowest point. to watch him fall to his knees in agony, to cry, to weep. I need to see him crack and break at his core!
And then I want to comfort him, to pick him up and cradle him in my arms. Take him to a place of comfort and wrap him up in a nice warm blanket with a cup of hot chocolate.
And tell him everything will be alright.
I can't explain why, but Nyx just has this incomprehensible grasp over me, and my every waking thought. (I can't stop thinking about him).
So now Nyx lives rent free in my head with all of my other silly little blorbos. Where nothing bad could ever happen to him, (lying).
Nyx is just so cool and badass and he knows it! (Also he's kinda hot).
He is such a sad, pathetic, sobbing wet cat. But he's MY sad, pathetic, sobbing wet cat, and you can't have him!!
I just want to grab him with my TEETH and THRASH my head around like a dog playing with its favourite chew toy!
I can not thank @thestarfishface enough for creating my new favourite silly little guy. Nyx is everything to me. ♥️ ♥️ ♥️
Now if you will excuse me I'm going to look at pictures of Nyx on my phone for six hours before I go fully insane.

"OPLA Zoro is too edgy" "OPLA Zoro isn't goofy enough" "What did the actor do Zoro laughs way more often"
DUDE. OPLA Zoro is perfect the way he is.
First, EVERYONE isn't as goofy and hilarious as in the manga. Because the manga is a manga. How is an existing real person supposed to act in a cartoonish manner. With the shark teeth and all or what did people expect?? That's just dumb. Also, the tone of the whole show is just different. Buggy's character? Khaladore? Way darker, completely different vibe. Cartoonish jokes and scenes just don't fit in and would even ruin shows vibe imo. Actually there mare many jokes and funny moments in the show, many of which include Zoro, sorry if you've missed them. He's a certified deadpan snarker and a hilarious dumbass with zero self-awareness how is that not funny? Because he doesn't get into Luffy's face after the boy accidentally punches him in the jaw? Oh wait, OPLA Luffy doesn't do that, too? Getting the point now?
What people seem to confuse Zoro's edginess with is an obscenely high self-confidence and Zoro's act of "I'm good enough to beat Mihawk" attitude. Dude thinks he's way better than he actually is. He thinks he's cool and badass with his constant crossing his arms and only rarely cracking a smile and he can't both smile and act tough bc his single brain cell is just not capable of doing that. It's tough guy act, that's what it is. Zoro wants to create that reputation and image of himself so he's either feared or idolised with literally nothing in between. He doesn't have time to deal with small-time fodder, that doesn't do anything to achieve his goal. He wants to be recognised by the bigger fish in the pond. That's why he never fights weaker enemies seriously, he thinks he wastes his talent on them. That guy acts as if he's got the biggest nuts on earth and he needs that attitude to create that reputation of himself and to prove that he's not afraid of anyone. Zoro does have emotions and OPLA Zoro does too, they both simply decide when to show them and for whom. It's called stoicism my guys. Comes from years of kendo training and Buddhism practice probably.
What edgy stoic (OPLA) Zoro also is, is traumatised. The live action carefully made sure to portray that in a way so even the dullest person would get that. Kuina's death still haunts Zoro and their promise weighs him down the same way it drives him forward. He's got the sole responsibility for achieving it, it lies on his shoulders alone. He's afraid to let her down, now that it's on him to achieve that goal for the both of them. He can't afford to lose, he can't afford to die. If he dies, their dream will be lost forever. That's what he tells Mihawk, that's why he fights Mihawk so desperately, so vigorously. He's trauma-driven. Mackenyu's performance was awesome in that scene. You can feel Zoro's despair when he throws in all of his strength into his blows, only to be dodged by Mihawk so effortlessly. Mackenyu's got the character of Zoro down perfectly. The "edginess" comes from the tough guy act, and don't forget... Zoro was a lone wolf before he met Luffy. Zoro didn't have friends. Zoro doesn't want to have friends. Zoro's afraid someone will get close to him again, he doesn't want to go through the pain of losing a person he loves ever again. That's why he tries to come across as unsympathetic and unapproachable. Remember when early years Zoro sat by himself often while the others were joking around? Zoro doesn't want them to befriend him and he doesn't want to like them, or even get the chance to possibly like them. Probably also has a "you can't be friends with your captain / crewmates" policy idk. Due to his own understanding of pirates bc what does he know?
Manga Zoro needed time to open up and let it happen that these idiots will become his friends. He's been on his own for so long that he's probably uncomfortable with being among others 24/7 too. He's not used to it. He's clumsy and let's not forget he's also a dumbass. He doesn't get why people don't act and think the same way he does. Because he's a dumbass. With zero self-awareness. Or what else would you call it if someone who's directionally challenged gives someone else directions like it's the most normal thing in the world, with a completely straight face even?
Zoro's not edgy, he dumb, and he's literally the only person who's not aware of this.
He's also hot but that wasn't what I was trying to get at bc that should be self explanatory anyway
Thank you if you made it this far and thanks for coming to my TED talk

I HATE KIRIKO!!!!!! I HATE HER I HATE HER. Her lore makes me mad. Her gameplay makes me mad. SHE makes me mad.
DUDE WHY DOES HER AGE MAKE LITERALLY NO SENSE LIKE
Tumblr media
HANZO IS 40 AND GENJI IS 37. SHE IS 21. SHE IS 16 YEARS YOUNGER THAN GENJI AND 19 YEARS YOUNGER THAN HANZO. THERE IS NO WAY IN THIS PIC SHES 10+ YEARS YOUNGER THAN THEM?1?1?
ALSO IN THE LORE (nerd emoji) IT SAYS THAT HER CLAN FELL APART 12 YEARS AGO. WHEN SHE WAS 12. SHE WOULD HAVE TO BE AT LEAST 24.
Also her personality in game and in her cinematic ARE SO DIFFERENT.
WHY IS SHE THIS KIND PERSON HELPING PEOPLE OUT, DOING BADASS MOVES AND CARING ABOUT HER FOX STUFF. IN GAME SHE IS LITERALLY THIS EDGY WANNABE TEENAGER WHOS JUST MEAN AND FULL OF HERSELF??? She helps this dude and his granddaughter from the Hasimoto but in game she literally refuses to be kind to hanzo and act like he shouldn’t be sad that he killed his brother. Ok.
ITS NOT EVEN JUST HANZO. LITERALLY ANYONE. SHES SO ANNOYING!!!
I swear she has to be a self insert because shes so bland. Literally barely any energy in her stupid voicelines. Like you get a headshot and shes like “heh cool 🤓 “
I HATE HER GAMEPLAY EVEN MORE 🔥 🔥
SHES A PAIN TO PLAY AGAINST. LIKE WHY IS HER SUZU AN ANSWER TO BASICALLY EVERYTHING. EVEN ULTS.
LIKE SHE CAN LITERALLY THROW A SUZU AND BE IMMORTAL TO GET AWAY. ON TOP OF THAT SHE CAN TELEPORT SO EASILY LIKE ITS A PAIN TO KILL HER BECAUSE THIS GIRL GOES PLACES.
PLUS SHES NOT EVEN FUN TO PLAY LIKE YOU’RE BASICALLY FORCED TO PLAY HER JUST TO BE ABLE TO WIN. I SWEAR NO MATTER WHICH RANK IT IS NO ONE EVEN BAITS OUT HER SUZU SO SHES JUST PREPARING IT MAKING IT SO DIFFICULT FOR PEOPLE TO TRY AND GET KILLS.
WHATS WORSE IS HER KUNAIS. Kiriko does a lot of damage with no damage fallout so shes basically a mini hanzo. BEFORE SEASON 9 SHE WAS LITERALLY ABOUT TO TWO TAP YOU ACROSS THE MAP IF YOU’RE A SQUISHY AND FOR SOME REASON THAT WAS “BALANCED”
Even if she is meta shes just SO BORINGGGGGG!!!! Its just healing then shooting healing and shooting. With the increased health in season 9, you’ll literally be only focusing on healing so half her gameplay is just holding down the mouse button. ITS NOT EVEN CAUSE IM A BIASED LUCIO MAIN SHE JUST HAS NOTHING THAT MAKES HER INTERESTING OR ENJOYABLE BESIDES HER ULT!!!!
Why does she get the most stuff too. Kiriko gets at least one skin every season and almost every bundle is about her. There are some heros like brigette, ramattra, or sigma who get NOTHING. i get its to make money but i swear she basically gets everything and some heros are lucky to even get one thing every other season </3
Anyways i HATE kiriko. She sucks in every possible way. Blizzard remove her from the game pls

Chat GPT couldn’t write My Immortal
So the fun thing about Chat GPT is that is the worst writer I have ever interacted with, but it is bad in a special unique way that a full decade of over-involvement on a bad fanfic forum could not have prepared me for.  I legitimately think My Immortal is better written in most ways (except technically obvs).  Maybe I just hate the feeling of getting thru several paragraphs and realizing I’ve read basically nothing, idk, but at least My Immortal is interesting and sometimes things happen in it.  I can’t even prompt Chat GPT into giving me outfit descriptions that are as good as Tara’s!  I’ve tried! So for shits and giggles I prompted Chat GPT to write like Tara.  The best part was I phrased it like a question so it responded with “OMG!!111 I can totally do that for you!”  But overall  it did a pretty shitty job. I thought I would share anyway.
Part I
First I tried to get it to describe a character’s outfit, as mentioned.  It started okish but without and of the characteristic bad grammar and spelling errors:
So, like, his outfit was, like, so edgy and gothic, it was like a total masterpiece of dark fashion. His go-to look was a black turtleneck, which hugged his rock-hard bod in all the right ways,
Chat GPT loves to just fixate on one aspect of the prompt you give it, so it couldn’t help but regurgitate a phrase I used in the most awkward way it could:
And OMG, let's talk about his pants, or should I say "pant-adjacent abomination"? LOL!
But eventually it became less Tara and more like a parody of gen Z:
The fabric, in all its darkness, flowed and draped in this super cool way, embracing the curves and angles of his legs. It was like fashion magic, I tell you!
But the best part? The lower part of the pants had all these intricate pleats and folds. They, like, embraced his leg structure and gave his outfit this rebellious and avant-garde vibe.
It was a fashion statement that screamed, "I'm unique, I'm fierce, and I'm ready to kick some serious ass!
The fabric had this rad texture, adding that extra touch of awesomeness to his ensemble. It was a fusion of practicality and personal style, showing the world that Gargoyle was not just a badass protector but a fashion icon in his own right.
As if Tara would ever use the word “avant-garde”.  Or “vibe” for that matter.
It did end with my favorite touch tho:
It was a style statement that only a true goth queen like him could pull off with such dark grace.
OK Chat GPT, you got me there.  It’s still wrong, but I like it.
Part II
Next I gave it a completely different prompt from something I’ve been working on.  This one is like one of those Korean webtoons where people die and get reincarnated as their younger selves but Chat GPT took a couple creative liberties (surprisingly rare, but always a delight):
Wretch woke up, feeling soooo goffik and angsty. He sat up in his bed, his long, black hair cascading around his pale face. He looked around the room, which was still a dark and brooding place, just like he left it. But something was off. He felt strange, like he was trapped in a bad fanfiction crossover. He touched his long, silky hair, shocked to find it was no longer jet black but now a shimmering shade of silver. "What the hell?" he muttered to himself, his voice deep and mysterious.
He got out of bed and stood in front of the mirror, his black eyeliner perfectly applied. He gasped when he saw his reflection. Staring back at him was a much younger version of himself, no older than 10 years old. His face was chubby and innocent, so different from his usual brooding and menacing appearance. "How the f*** did this happen?" he mumbled, running his fingers through his hair, which was no longer slicked back but loose and flowing.
I’m not sure why getting younger changed his hair color, but ok.  The My Immortal-ness of it is so obviously surface level tho.  IDK if it is as clear when you ask it to pretend to be Stephan King or whatever, but here is it pretty clear it’s only picking up on a couple key traits.
The weird thing about this one is it must be getting some of its information about how to write this from parodies because the meta “jokes” don’t stop coming:
Was this some kind of twisted nightmare or a poorly written plot twist?
The realization hit him like a poorly spelled Avada Kedavra.
Umm, excuse me, but Tara would never.   One thing I will give it tho, its extremely awkward use of swears, especially from adult figures, is very good:
Valorous turned to face Wretch, a look of confusion on his face. "Wretch? What's going on? Why do you look like a f***ing child?
Wretch scowled at Valorous, his dark eyes narrowing. "I don't know what the f*** is happening, but Verity's here, and I need to find her. This could be our chance to finally end this endless war and... maybe even find love or some s***," he said, his voice laced with a hint of doubt.
This also ends on a pretty good note:
But seriously, what the
Yeah, I agree.

Cyberpunk Chronicles: Celebrating the Badass Women of the Neon Era
In the heart of the neon-lit cyberpunk landscape, where the future and the digital realm collide, there exists a legion of unforgettable heroines who've been blazing trails and rewriting the rules since the very inception of this thrilling genre. Cyberpunk, as a genre, is not just a collection of stories; it's a reflection of an era marked by the rapid advancement of technology, the rise of mega-corporations, and the ever-present tension between individuality and conformity. And at the heart of this tumultuous world are these extraordinary women who not only navigated the treacherous cybernetic jungles but thrived in them.
Part I: Pioneers of Cyberpunk Awesomeness
Our journey begins in the early '80s when cyberpunk was born as a rebellious response to corporate might and an embrace of all things high-tech and edgy. This was an era when society was witnessing the birth of personal computing, the spread of the internet, and the omnipresence of corporate power. Cyberpunk, at its core, has always been about questioning authority, exposing the dark underbelly of technological advancement, and embracing the counterculture spirit.
Molly Millions - The Razor Girl
In William Gibson's "Neuromancer" (1984), we meet Molly Millions, the epitome of cyberpunk badassery. With her mirrored shades and retractable razor nails, she wasn't just a force of nature; she was a trailblazer, proving that women could kick cyber-butt with the best of them. Molly set the standard for cool in this electrifying world.
Part II: Embracing the Cyborg Identity
Fast forward to the '90s, when the internet was revolutionizing our lives and questions about identity and humanity were in the air. Cyberpunk continued to evolve, delving deeper into the complexities of human-machine interaction.
Major Motoko Kusanagi - The Ghost in the Shell
Major Motoko Kusanagi from the anime "Ghost in the Shell" (1995) was a living testament to the ever-evolving world of cyber-enhancement. She wasn't there to dominate; she was there to thrive alongside her diverse team. Her journey into the depths of cyber-philosophy and identity was nothing short of mind-blowing. Motoko embodied the spirit of empowerment, showing that gender equality could coexist with a mind-bending plot.
Part III: Breaking Stereotypes and the Femme Fatale
The late '90s brought us the internet's full-blown takeover, but it didn't mean we were about to abandon action-packed stories.
Trinity - The Matrix's Rebel Leader
Trinity, from "The Matrix" (1999), was pure dynamite. Leather-clad and loaded with skills, she shattered stereotypes and delivered epic moments. She wasn't there to dominate, but she sure as heck wasn't taking a backseat. In an era of embracing different perspectives, Trinity was all about equality and a whole lot of awesomeness.
Part IV: The Expansive Cyberpunk Universe
What makes cyberpunk truly remarkable is its boundless nature, spanning a multitude of media. It's not just confined to books and films; it extends its reach into anime, TV series, video games, audio dramas, and more. This genre isn't content with merely exploring the near-future dystopian landscapes; it thrives on pushing boundaries and exploring the limitless potential of the human-machine interface.
Conclusion: The Ever-Incredible Cyberpunk Heroes
In a world driven by technology and corporate might, these characters prove that being a total badass knows no gender boundaries. They're the characters who make you pump your fist and cheer because they're just that awesome. Whether it's their empowering presence, their role in smashing gender norms, or just their sheer ability to kick cyber-butt, these women have left an indelible mark on the ever-evolving world of cyberpunk. As we navigate the neon-lit streets of this genre, let's raise a toast to these icons—they're the definition of awesomeness in a genre that refuses to be confined by any medium or narrative convention.

Have you seen the new Willow show? It’s vibe reminded me about of Aurora since it’s a high fantasy show that doesn’t try to be super serious or edgy and actually has fun
I got most of the way through the first two episodes and might try and pick it back up. It's fun in places, but in others it feels a little shaky and the pacing's kinda weird. I can't decide if it's comfortably tropey or just a little too comfortable with its tropes. I laughed out loud when the old mentor guy got one-shotted literally seconds after crossing the barrier.
The characters also sort of oscillate between being too cool for school and bathos-ing up all their emotional moments, and being weirdly non-genre-savvy when it's convenient for them to be immersed in the plot. For instance, absolutely nobody reacted to the mentor dying in any way and the characters were quipping seconds later, making them seem Very Rad and Uninvested. But then when it comes to the frankly extremely tedious second episode where the entire premise is Elora sucking at magic, nobody points out the seemingly crucial detail that she passed through the giant magic barrier that keeps the entire kingdom safe. The rest of the gang know she didn't cross through the gate with them but don't seem to question how she got out, and she knows she moved through the barrier, so it feels very weird that the entire episode is spent with her constantly repeating that she can't be magic, she can't be the chosen one, she's just on this trip to rescue her boyfriend she's been dating since yesterday tops, etc etc. Sitting around waiting for the characters to acknowledge or accept or figure out something very obvious is tedious, especially when they have no reason not to.
Kit also stands out to me, because she's quite an interesting mass of contradictions, though I'm not sure if that's intentional characterization or indicative of the same inconsistent writing. She's introduced defeating Jade in a fight, who is herself a clearly extremely talented knight if the royal guard are willing to make an exception to accept her - and Kit says she wins because she's got skill and talent and that's what makes her better than Jade, which characterizes her as arrogant, but perhaps justifiably so considering her ability - after all, she is introduced as a better ass-kicked than the story's designated ass-kicker. Then Kit plans to literally run away to escape her arranged marriage, abandoning her role as heir to the throne because she feels trapped in her life - which totally tracks, that's all consistent. She's a spunky warrior princess who doesn't wanna marry some rando for political reasons, that's a very classic tale as old as time. But then as soon as the squad of bad guys show up and storm the castle, Kit is shown panicking and handling herself much worse than Jade, who also doesn't do particularly well in that fight - which is another stock story beat, the equivalent of the "home village gets torched by BBEG" event. This makes it seem like Kit, despite being prepared to win a sparring session, is not actually ready for a real fight. That's a good angle on this character, and it makes sense for a sheltered princess longing for adventure; she's trained, but that doesn't mean she's ready. She's arrogant, not because she's experienced, but because she's the big fish in her small pond. Okay, that's fair. Different than her introduction and not really highlighted in-story, but still workably consistent. It indicates that Kit will have an arc about becoming a more badass fighter through experience, maybe a bit less arrogant as she accepts that the "talent" she boasted about literally means nothing in a very dangerous world - maybe Jade will get more opportunities to shine as an actually experienced warrior who's seen more combat than her talented princess. Jade has also clearly had a less sheltered life than Kit, so that might be a good dynamic to explore as character foils now that they're experiencing a fraught adventure that is clearly much harsher than Kit was ready for. Then as soon as Elora is revealed to be the real magical chosen one this story is all about, Kit shifts to being the cranky lancer complaining about how Elora sucks and isn't important and probably isn't really the chosen one anyway and shouldn't they be focusing on charging straight at the main bad guy right now. She also calls out Elora on having never been in a real fight, which is either a very interesting bit of hypocrisy from one sheltered princess to another, or a bit of inconsistent character writing caused by Kit being suddenly recast as the lancer to Elora's de facto protagonist status. It also highlights another inconsistency, because if Elora is who Willow thinks she is - the chosen one savior one true queen who'll rule the kingdom - then Kit is free from that royal responsibility she demonstrably hates.
So either this is the messy behavior of a complicated, imperfect heroine suddenly experiencing a large amount of very stressful things at once - or it's inconsistent character writing. Schroedinger's storytelling.
There's a few other things that threw me. Some of the editing in the first episode feels really weird, especially during the aforementioned Bad Guy Invasion - which itself smacked of rough choreography, shot in a dark and foggy environment with a lot of camera-shake to seemingly compensate for a lot of very wide swings with swords and spears.
It was an interesting watch, and I might go back to it because of the bits that are rough around the edges. Seeing the parts that weren't working for me helped me identify the parts that were working and why. The show's certainly not awful, and there's a lot of solid stuff in it; it's just the shaky parts that are interesting to me, because they're the parts you can learn the most from.

I find it a bit unnerving how so many fans, and even the comic itself at times, apparently take one a glance at Surge and immediately say GURL POWER simply because she has strong badass super powers and less feminine traits. The reason she even has those powers, and why her personality is the way it is, was the result of being kidnapped and completely robbed of all of her identity and agency, which she, and Kit, still haven't broken free of. I seriously don't know how anyone can seriously look at it and say it's OMG gurlboss female empowerment, and not a victim who needs serious help- but seems to live in a world where Sonic kind of brushes off her suffering with shit like a panel containing walls of text balloons.
Surge's entire appeal lies in her aesthetic. She looks loud and punk and edgy and cool, she has stark colors that are a punch in the eye and a punk haircut and shark teeth and she's covered in metal and she has lightning powers and can you see all of me walk into my mystery
(I apologize to Shadow. his design is far more coherent)
Remember what I always pointed out? How such a popular character has a risible amount of fanfictions that actually star her, as herself, not tied to a ship? Yeah. Her actual character doesn't matter: the vibes do.
Surge tries to be too many things. She wants to be cool and badass and a new rival to Sonic. She wants to have a tragic story about being stripped of her whole self and being forced to be a weapon. She wants to be an underdog that tries so hard but can't achieve her goals and that causes her angst. These elements are not put together coherently, leading to us scratching our head at what are we supposed to think about her.
I guess the answer is "nothing". Just look at her smug grin and cheer at the peak because muh unapologetic female villain who is so Cool
Tumblr media
also yeah friendly reminder that sonic refused to give a single shit about her even after he was effectively told her deal. our hero, ladies and gentleman.

okay I've been thinking about it some more and here are some things i like more about digimon than pokemon:
gender. digimon do not have genders. english speaking fans do he/him or she/her them a lot and i think the subs and dubs for the various anime series do but canonically speaking none of them are Girls Or Boys
for this reason it's also possible for a very masculine looking digimon to evolve into a very feminine looking one and vice versa. because these concepts mean nothing to them. and that's badass forever to me
evolution. technically speaking any digimon can evolve into any other digimon so long as it's one of the level above them. this makes fanmade evo lines possible. so if you have a favorite of every level you can very much just imagine a digimon who evolves into all of those
digimon also devolve. so evolving isn't permanent
character. so the thing about digimon in comparison to pokemon is that digimon tend to be more like people than pets. there are some exceptions to this but ultimately a digimon partner is your beast friend who would die for you not your dog. so most digimon can also talk. this means that in the anime series especially when they want to add a digimon they also have to write a character and that can be really fun. there are digimon i likely wouldn't think much about otherwise that i love to death just because one version of them is a great character. looks directly at impmon
this also means that if you're like me and insane. the digimon are often more relatable than the humans are because they have the opportunity to be
anime. pokemon as an anime isn't bad per-se except for when it is. but not a lot happens in it that isn't standard shenanigans and basic children's anime stuff. digimon is also for kids so it's not like high art or anything but its anime tend to have an enormous deal more to say for themselves than pokemon's anime does. like if you watch especially either adventure or tamers you'll get a lot more out of it. a lot of times it's sort of "what if whatever edgy pokemon fanfic you wrote as a tween actually happened". and i like that
death. the digimon can die sometimes instead of just being functionally immortal but fainting. this is because they're originally based on tamagotchi. i think that's pretty cool
cards. i like how digimon cards look more than pokemon cards sometimes. some of those illustrations are absolutely batshit
designs. this is obvious but i just generally think digimon look better than pokemon do. yes digimon tend to look much busier than pokemon but post like gen3 pokemon have just been getting more and more awkward to look at whereas digimon has remained fairly consistent. i also like that a lot of digimon are just Guys. i know a lot of pokemon fans absolutely despise it when a pokemon is so much as bipedal but digimon often evolve into just full on guys. sometimes hardly distinguishable from humans. and they look kickass nearly every single time. the royal knights who are my favorite ever are basically just knight or animal themed gundam most of the time and yes they are enormous and yes it is exactly as cool as you think it is
worldbuilding. to put it simply i like digimon's world more than pokemon's world. pokemon takes place in a version of more or less our world where all of the animals are these things called pokemon which is cool. but digimon exist in an entirely parallel world to ours called the digital world with its own rules and appearance and mythology and culture and ecosystem and whatnot. generally the two worlds aren't supposed to overlap either so it's fun to imagine. but the digital world is also. digital. so sometimes its manmade too. and that's cool also
jogress. you don't have to make fanmade mashups here sometimes the digimon just fuse
and that's all i can think of smiles
