Hello I just read a post you made a while ago about all your fanfics ideas and there is this one reincarnation AU where Percy has dreams of a couple and him and Nico go to the bottom of it. Have you abandoned this idea? Seems promising

Wow, talk about a blast from the past. For now? Yeah, I'm sorry to say that fic is dead on the water. Whenever I tried to write it my brain came up with a new idea and refused to keep plotting that one. A few fics in that post were eventually repurposed into other fics (Destined became How to Defy Fate, to name one) but the reincarnation AU I never managed to finish plotting out.

The incomplete outline is still buried somewhere, maybe one day It'll become a real fic, but I don't think it'll be any time soon.

I am worried about the foster cat: she threw up and she wouldn’t eat after that. It’s the diet change, the vet says, but it doesn’t sit right. Her brother’s eating fine. She’s supposed to gain weight because at seven months she is too small to get spayed. Not eating is a big problem. Already had a spat with my mom about keeping another cat. The foster cat’s scared of the dogs and the house-cat is scared of her. She is a kitten from Nia’s litter. One of three survivors. And she was the biggest, but now the house-cat, who is two months younger, is bigger. I am worried about this foster cat because I put her up at the stables thinking she’d get fat on mice with her brother, but they moved her to the warehouse, and they feed her only once a day so that she’ll hunt at night. Starving this cat isn’t helping her catch anything, didn't you know? Didn't I say? She's a kitten, all you've done is stunt her growth, make her slow. They brought her to the vet in a hamster cage, and she fit just fine. She’s the sweetest thing: purrs up a storm and hops to rub against your hand and made biscuits on my arm and follows you when you pstpstpst. But she stopped eating, so I’m worried.

How sad to watch him grow

merlin’s secret being a visual thing. when he is around arthur or gwen or leon or morgana or [insert whatever character here] merlin seems pale and thin, almost like a ghost or an apparition. when the sun lands on him he reflects it like a corpse, he eyes seem dark and dull. he has this ethereal beauty to him, this otherworldly visage that leads many to believe he is of fae blood. he just doesn’t seem to be 100% human. but when he is ONLY with lancelot or gaius (cough or gwaine bc gwaine DEFINITELY knew) merlin is heartachingly human. merlin shines in the sunlight, colors are brighter and more vibrant around him, and his smiles are wide and his laughs are boisterous. he takes on color and leaves everyone wanting to know him. but when other join in or interact with the two, merlin shifts before their eyes so quickly and suddenly that they aren’t sure whether or not what they saw was a trick of the light. the idea still leaves them wanting more and wanting to see the merlin who is just so full of life but that merlin only appears for a small select group of people. merlin who has a guard so high that it has an effect of other’s perception of him.

As mask bans sweep the nation it is more important than ever to wear a mask (preferably a respirator) in public at all times. These mask bans rely on the manufactured consent of the public to permanently ice out immunocompromised and vulnerable people from daily social life. Aside from being clearly unethical to want to exclude all vulnerable people from society, it is impossible to do as immunocompromised people are everywhere and most need to work to survive. Further, mask bans will most heavily impact the most marginalized members of our communities like Black maskers and put them at even more risk of state violence. It may seem dramatic to claim that masking is ‘fighting fascism’ but it is one very small thing you can do to publicly signal dissent of the fascist state (and to help distract the agents of state violence away from people who are more vulnerable if you’re white like me).

If buying masks is out of your budget I would highly recommend looking up local mask blocs in your area. They are frequently giving away free respirators and other supplies to help you avoid infection and protect those around you.
