now that we have canon confirmation that izzy wanted blackbeard/‘provoked’ ed into blackbeard because it was the only way he felt needed to ed, it was the closest he felt to ed was when they were a team and he thought that ed would discard him if he didn’t keep blackbeard alive (because he is in love with ed, not blackbeard, but he didn’t think he could have ed.) i will just block you if i see you saying izzy did it because he was power-hungry or to get his own rocks off… lol

#like we got his motive for it #and it was because he was in love with him #and he thought that was the only thing he could be with ed #no im not buying into izzy was eds dad or whatever #sure he could be a mentor figure to an extent probably but the dynamic is weird there #izzy is still a masochist btw he still likes being shoved around etc #but he would intentionally provoke ed bc he wanted to feel safe with ed and needed by him #its fucked up. its unhealthy. but thats what it is #and it makes sense to me now why he looked Like That after the choking thing #because he hated doing it. he didnt want to. he thought it was his only choice #im sure theres a few other motives like safety #etc #idk.#izzy hands #ofmd s2
