So many Astarion fans will just... straight up lie or refuse to contextualize Wyll's interactions with Astarion in order to demonize him.

Say what you want about Wyll being arrogant or corny but Astarion is canonically evil (In DnD, alignments aren't a matter of opinion. Whether or not this is a good mechanic is not the point of this post so don't even bother). We don't get to see much companion/companion interaction outside of short barks, but we as players can infer that Wyll knows what type of person Astarion is.

Every time Astarion approves of the player character making a heinous decision or disapproves of a moral one, you're supposed to assume that Wyll and the other companions are right there observing. He has ample reason not to trust or like this guy, but Astaristans frame Wyll as petty and vindictive. They give so much grace to the 200+ year old vampire who can't muster up a modicum of sympathy for slaves that aren't himself, but can't give any of that to the ~24 year old monster hunter who has dedicated his life to helping those in need.

I'm not the one to usually assume someone is racist based on the sole reason of hating a black character, but the way they insist Wyll is secretly a bad person because he dislikes Astarion has me side-eyeing them so hard. It's hard not to feel this way as a black person, especially with how often black characters are held to much higher standards than white characters within fandoms.

Keep in mind, I love Astarion. He is probably one of my favorite companions in any RPG I have played, but I'm not going to pretend the way fellow fans of his talk about Wyll doesn't bother me.

Fake Voyager Episode: Tuvok gets kidnapped and forced to compete in an arena where telepaths fight one another to the death for a shot at fortune and prestige. He was initially kidnapped as 'fodder' - the aliens who run the arena will grab any telepathic alien they can find regardless of skill and they're essentially just there to be killed by flashier veterans of the bloodsport. The episode is mainly Tuvok showing off his tactical know-how and combat skills. We also get several flashbacks to him as a young man, learning how to fight both on Vulcan and in Starfleet. There's a concern that he will lose himself when forced into this seemingly endless battle, surrounded by violence, but in the end he prevails and manages to escape without killing a single person. More than enough time. It was a shrewd precaution to nullify my telepathic ability. However. I do not need them to best you in combat.

Rewatched the episode of House MD where Kutner dies and I honestly think instead of killing his character off, they should have said that Kutner got a job as physician to then President Barack Obama and that's why he was leaving. Objectively funnier since his actor did leave the show to work for Obama and I know it would have driven House nuts that Kutner was ditching to go play doctor with the President instead of getting verbally abused for House's amusement.

The conversation between party members before confronting the Kaiser and Logic is kind of bittersweet and tragic in a way, because everybody talks about their plans for the future after they survive.

Some of them would probably never have come to make these conclusions had they not made it all the way to the end with you, but neither you or your party make it back to the train after ending A and-

okay i know they are canonically obsessed with each other but. the song is in some ways about feeling like you’re failing in your relationship and being not quite as obsessed with them as they maybe are with you, and in this video of them talking about being a tandem, there is the slightest pause before swayman answers “do you miss him?” that makes me want to probe a wound. we’re not talking irl reasons of how that’s an absurd question (how do you miss him. you’re coworkers you’re seeing each other all the time) we’re talking that maybe this whole goalies-in-love thing got blown out of proportion and now swayman’s having to buy into the bit too hard. linus loves it & everyone’s asking about their bromance & how they love each other so much and the thing is—linus is safe. he’s got a wife and plausible deniability and jeremy? jeremy is gay. sure, he can crack jokes and people-please but the more people ask the more they're going to find out until maybe they find out something jeremy doesn't want them to know. and the longer this goes on, the more jeremy has to sit at linus' dinner table with linus and his beautiful wife and pretend like he isn't a little bit in love with him. and you know what? the longer it goes on and linus doesn't dial it down jeremy does stop being in love with him, because it just feels cruel, until he finally is done enough that he stops biting his tongue and ruins the moment.

YET AGAIN I’m struck by the Savitar & Nora idea beam 😅

What ideas? Currently two:

a) s5 Nora actually getting captured by Savitar when she and Barry make their trip back in time, also Nora spills her and Barry’s whole plan to Savitar and calls him “Dad” (because, ofc, she thinks he’s Barry), so now she’s in his lair, at his mercy, and Barry is who-knows-where

b) s7/Present Nora has flashes of s5 Nora—they’re not quite the same person but not quite different either. This is usually during dreams. But for some reason, this intensifies when she and Bart somehow land themselves in s3—now the flashes are more frequent, resembling visions more than dreams…or resembling memories. Maybe they get themselves captured by Savitar, maybe not (they could just cross paths with him frequently but keep evading him), but Bart is very weirded out (and highkey worried) by how much his sister knows about Savitar and the past in general
