The Boys-Ranked from Loves Kids to Childfree

Just a random post idea, ranking all of the guys from those who want and need to have kids to those would rather do without.

Despite me writing dozens of posts with these men as dads, I do think some of them would prefer to not have kids.

Loves Kids

Beel- it would be a crime if this man never became a daddy.

Diavolo- this lonely man has so much love to give and wants to be a better father than his was to him! He also kinda needs an heir but that's honestly less important to him.

Asmo- loves children and believes his would be the cutest of them all! Another man with a lot of love to give, but might not truly understand just how much a person has to sacrifice as a parent.

Mammon- Another lonely ass man who would love his kids above all else. Knows he really needs to get his shit together and debt issue figured out first though and that's the tough part.

Lucifer- Loves kids, but has already raised seven siblings (or like, 6 siblings and technically a son). This man is tired and would prefer not to raise anymore children, but if one popped into his life in any sort of way, he'd still love them and do his best for them.

Simeon- Loves kids, but does not invision himself a parent. Angels raise siblings, not their own offspring so the idea of being a parent doesn't even come to mind.

Levi- this man is very conflicted on the matter. He's lonely and likes the idea of having a little being for him to love and be loved back. However, kids would require him to change most aspects of how he lives his life and this man is not okay with that.

Barbatos- likes children, but would prefer not to have any of his own. This man works 24/7 and feels it would be unfair to any child he could potentially bring into this world. That and his ability to see into the future is genetic and would be pure torture for anyone not trained with it so he thinks it would be cruel to risk a child of his inheriting such power.

Satan- has very little experience with children and sees no reason for him to have them. Doesn't fully understand the interest in dedicating his life to another being or see any positive aspects of such since his own childhood was so... complicated, to say the least.

Solomon- this old man has very little interest in kids and honestly, finds the idea a bit daunting. Either his kids would inherit his immortality and watch people they care about die or Soli would have to watch his kids grow up and die in what would feel to him like a blink of an eye.

Belphie- oh devil, he can't stand them. Had to deal with Satan as a kid and though Satan was...very unique as children come, Belphie carries that experience with him to this day. Sees kids as something forced on people where you can no longer have your own feelings or take care of yourself because you're expected to only look after them.

A Tempting Offer

As promised, I'm doing daily chat scenes while requests are still closed. This one happened because I just really wanted to write some comfort fluff and Asmodeus has been on my mind lately. He's such a sweetheart, in my opinion. Hopefully he's not to OOC here. I also really want to write something ~spicy~ with the daily chat of his called Gloss Mark, but I'll save that for another time lol.

ASMODEUS Hey, would you be interested in skipping school with me today? I was out all night partying, so I overslept. I've decided to just write the day off and spend it lounging around in my room. What do you say?

MC A little break couldn't hurt.

ASMODEUS I knew you'd understand!

I'll be waiting in my room!

You waited until you were sure that everyone else had already left for RAD. You knew that if you got caught, you and Asmo would be dealing with a lecture from Lucifer at the very least.

When you had received Asmo's text earlier that morning, you had to think about it. Was there anything important happening at school that you couldn't afford to miss? But you knew there wasn't. You also knew that any of the brothers would lend you their notes if you asked.

If it really came down to it, you could always say you simply weren't feeling well. It was just a coincidence that Asmo didn't go to school that day, too. Nobody could prove you were lying, right? Well, okay, maybe Lord Diavolo would be able to tell, but you weren't likely to see him if you stayed in the House of Lamentation. And to be honest, you didn't think he'd give you away even if he was around.

So the moment you sensed the house was quiet, that you were sure everyone had already left for the day, you crept out of your own room and down the hall.

Considering Asmo said he overslept and was planning to just lounge in his room all day, you hadn't bothered to get fully dressed. You were clothed, but you were comfortable.

You knocked on Asmo's door and heard him call you inside.

You were relieved to see that Asmo himself had put on a pair silky pink pajamas. You knew he preferred to sleep nude, so you were anticipating that you may have to deal with that upon entering his room. Not that you would have entirely minded, of course…

You didn't have time to linger on that thought as Asmo came over and put an arm around your shoulders.

"Oh, MC," he said. "I'm so happy you decided to stay home with me today. I'm just so overtired. I would be useless even if I went to school. And now I get to have you all to myself all day!"

You let out a soft sigh. Just being here in his room made you feel calm. There was something about the soft pinks, the roses, the floral scent. There was something about the weight of his arm around your shoulders.

You leaned into him a little bit. "I didn't realize how much I needed a day off until you asked."

Asmo frowned and steered you over to his bed where he sat down with you. You felt yourself sink slightly into the soft mattress. "MC, you've been overworking yourself. You know you don't need to do that. We already have Lucifer to deal with, we don't need you running yourself ragged, too."

You laughed. "I'm nowhere near as bad as Lucifer. It's just that sometimes I forget to take breaks, you know?"

Asmo tightened his hold on you, pulling you a little closer into himself. "Of course I know! Why do you think I asked you to stay home with me today?"

"You said you were out all night partying," you said.

"And I was! I truly did oversleep," Asmo said. "Which was the perfect opportunity for me to ask you to come relax for the day."

You laughed and shook your head a little. You put your arms around his waist and leaned your head on his shoulder. His arm tightened around you and his other hand came up to stroke your hair.

"You always know what I need," you said softly into his neck.

"Oh, darling," he murmured against your head. "Of course I do. You're the only one I pay attention to more than myself. If something's not right, I know about it. And I've seen how hard you've been working lately. So just let me pamper you for a bit today, okay?"

You snuggled closer to him. "Okay."

You weren't about to protest. You were so comfortable there in his arms, you couldn't imagine ever being anywhere else.

"What can I do for you, then, hmm? Do you want me to paint your nails? Give you a massage?" he asked.

You considered the questions, thinking about what you could really use right then. "Can we take a nap first?" you asked. "I'm just… very tired. And it sounds like you could use a little extra sleep, too. You can paint my nails later."

Asmo kissed your forehead. "Of course."

Asmo let go of you enough to scoot back on his bed, pulling you along with him. He slipped under the covers and laid back against the pillows. He tugged on your hands and you got in next to him. You were facing each other and Asmo wrapped his arms around your back, pulling you into his chest.

You were surrounded by his sweet scent, the warmth of his body, the softness of his blankets. It was the most comfortable you had ever been and you felt yourself relax, letting go of all the tension you had been unknowingly holding.

You re-positioned your head to find Asmo's pink-gold eyes looking at you with an expression you couldn't read. Before you could ask about it, he leaned forward to kiss you gently. His lips were so soft and as you returned the kiss, it felt as though your body was melting away and you were floating among the clouds.

Asmo pulled away, reaching up to caress your cheek before settling himself back into the pillows. "Get some sleep now, MC. When we wake up, I'll make your nails absolutely beautiful."

As Asmodeus's breathing slowed, your heavy eyelids closed. You felt safe and warm beside him. It wasn't long before both of you were asleep.

Hmm interesting question. I hope the way I wrote him makes sense. Also sorry this took so long to answer.

Yandere Diavolo with Reader Who Rejects Him

So idk if this is like a well known fact but in one of Diavolo’s devilgram stories (the ‘Enchanted Pudding’ one to be specific) Diavolo acts as sort of a yandere. You’d have to read the story or the wiki page about the story for content, but he is obsessed with the mc in the story. Yet he has lots of self control so he acts completely normal and not as a ‘yandere.’

So I’d like to keep that in mind, that even if he is a yandere he doesn’t act on those tendencies. So this answer might be a bit boring or anticlimactic, but I don’t really think he would make you date him or anything. Diavolo doesn’t think it would be right for him to force you into a relationship with him. He wants you to be able to be independent and not to cage you up because of his selfishness.

He thinks it’s important for you to be able to make your own decisions about this and he understands where you are coming from. Dating royalty is definitely something that could be very overwhelming for you and he knows that he often forces people to do what he wants. But he cares for you very deeply and wouldn’t want to force you into an important decision like this if you truly didn’t want it.

And when I say all this, I don’t mean that Diavolo isn’t upset over this development. Of course he’s upset. He’s devastated, to put it lightly. And it’s not as if he hides this, he has no reason to. He finds there’s no reason to hide being upset over this, but he hides his unnaturally strong feelings over this. And he doesn’t take this out on you, mostly.

So what I’m basically trying to get at is that he wouldn’t make you be in a romantic relationship with him. He has too much respect for you for that. However, old habits die hard. Even if he wouldn’t pursue you anymore, he still finds himself forcing you to spend time with him. So he would find himself forcing you into a friendship with him. He doesn’t want to push your boundaries, but he feels he just can’t let go of you completely.

Forcing romantic relationships are off the table, but platonic relationships are totally different! At least to him. I mean, it’s not as if he’d be a bad friend or anything. Sure, I mean he wanted to lock you up to keep you all for himself when you decided you didn’t want to be in a relationship with him, but you wouldn’t ever know that. In fact, I don’t think you ever knew about Diavolo’s unnatural feelings. And you likely won’t ever know. To you, he’s always just the same old normal Diavolo.

He’s gonna buy Lucifer so much Demonus as a thank you for picking you for the exchange program. Seriously, you’re PERFECT (for him)

As the President of Student Council and future King, he loves seeing you interact with the other students, and he’s glad that they’re reacting positive to you. At least some of them do

Now, no one is to foolish (or powerful) enough to threaten Diavolo or do anything to you that can bring you harm. They can try, but they won’t be getting the results that they hope for

But he can’t help it but find it amusing when you try to “defend his honor” when someone bad mouths him. He makes sure to not let it show (gotta be professional after all) but he does tease you about it later. You’re so small and seeing you just yelling square up to this demon is hilarious. He has no idea what geometry has to do with this, but he’s learned some new slang thanks to you!

He’s finally found someone who’ll go along with his antics and more. Whereas other people may complain about him wanting to do fun activities that seem basic, you just flash a big smile, grab his hand and tell him to lead the way

You really make him happy MC. He doesn’t remember the last time he’s ever felt this lighthearted, and he doesn’t feel the sense of loneliness that he felt himself getting used too

Ah, so another Luke, except older and that you take your threats of violence very serious, if what he sees (both in the present and the future) holds true (which it does)

You’re still harmless in his eyes though

Your friendly personality makes it easy for you to be forgiven for a lot of things…even if your actions make him give you the side eye at times

Despite how energetic you are (which is something that he’ll never grow tired of) your presence has a relaxing effect on him. Even if he has to warn you sometimes to be careful with the way that you bounce around so much, especially when he’s in the kitchen

He unfortunately can’t be by your side as he is Lord Diavolo’s butler, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t keep watch on you, even without the use of his powers

With how outgoing you are, you’re bound to attract trouble, in which you do at a constant rate. What was comical however, is that it seemed like the trouble you attracted was on his behalf

“MC, what seems to be the issue here?”

He has reprimanded you each time when you try to fight others. He knows that demons see him as weak and talk behind his back, but he chooses to ignore them, to turn the other cheek. But just because he does, doesn’t mean that you do, and he sees that now

Simeon really doesn’t want you to fight, and it’s not even because it’s against his nature (it’s part of the reason, just not the whole reason). Fighting leads to injury, and injury leads to distress, and that’s the last thing that he wants to happen to you. And he’s not going to let anything happen to you!

He truly believes it’s a waste of time and energy, and you could find better things to do. For example, by spending time with him!

Is immediately upset that you don’t stay in Purgatory Hall with him, and even more upset that you don’t live in the Celestial Realm

You’re like the best older sibling he’s never had! And you don’t treat him like a baby either!

You never hesitate to help him with anything; baking, homework, pretty much anything and everything. He may try to make it seem like you need his assistance, but we all know it’s the other way around (with the exception of Luke himself)

We all know that Luke gets teased by the brothers and even his roommates sometimes (looking at you Solomon), but it’s just harmless teasing (for the most part). It’s when he hears what the other students say about him that gets to him- he tries to show that it doesn’t bother him and he tries to stand up for himself but- their words really hurt him

And no one hurts Luke and gets away with it

You already get onto the brothers for their teasing when it starts to bother him, and now the brothers have to jump in to stop you from trying to rip this demon horns’ off

You can’t really reach them and they’re pretty sure you won’t do any damage, but they rather not take the chance of you getting hurt

It’s not the first or last time that you do this either, and it just makes him feel horrible. He’s the angel here, the one that’s suppose to protect you, not the other way around!

You help him out so much, either without defending him you do so much for him already. How can he ever repay you? He feels like whatever he does won’t be enough…WAIT- he figured out what he can do!

He can get stronger and protect you! He can go to Beel so that you don’t have to fight for him anymore, or maybe have Solomon make some potions that’s like demon repellent but only for those jerks. If those mean demons see how serious and strong he is, then they’re bound to leave you guys alone! Maybe he can show you some tricks too once he’s done. He has to hurry up and tell you the plan then, you guys can’t wait any longer!

Their words do hurt, but so does seeing you putting yourself in harms way to protect him. You can’t do all the protecting MC, he needs to watch out for you too, no if ands or buts about it!

But he doesn’t want you to do this for him. He’s a powerful sorcerer, he can easily solve this without breaking a sweat if he wanted to, but he doesn’t deem it worthy to even waste a drop of potions on. But since you’re so concerned, maybe a quick kiss would make him feel better?

Have I been using this series to vicariously punish Belphie for the events of Season 1? I cannot confirm nor deny that statement.

Didn't think too much of the "human" when they popped out of the portal. Sure they had a straw hat and a huge basket full of produce but it wasn’t like they were… Wait… No… Were they…?

Oh no. Oh nonononono, this is not good…!!

Demeter is notoriously doting and protective of her children (see her freakout and breakdown after Hades abducted of Persephone as proof) and they've pretty much done the EXACT. SAME. THING. here!!

It was a mad scramble by him and Diavolo to contact and appease their godly Mother Bear before she came roaring down to Devildom herself to turn them all into barley. Thankfully, Zeus must have intervened at some point because though she was indeed PISSED, she didn't threaten to barge in… yet.

She made one thing very clear. Bend so much as a single hair on her precious child's head and there would be WAR…

The MC received a 24 hour security detail after that. Just Mammon wasn't going to cut it, he needed NO chances. It was a full rotation of Mammon, him and Beel for the entirety of their stay (Asmo and Levi both threw hissy fits at the prospect of babysitting, Satan couldn’t be trusted not to kill them just to irritate him, and Belphie was out for… obvious reasons).

In some ways, it wasn’t so bad. The MC was a very mild sort of person, rather even tempered. He’d dare say they were pleasant, mostly content to just tend to their gardens and be out in the moonlight…

But the problem was, he just could not convince them to stay OUT of nature. Including the forests, which were full of hellish beasts fully intent on gnawing their flesh from their bones… and their specialty was plants, not animals, sooo…

Their habit of sneaking out to wander the woods got so bad that he very nearly considered pulling a Belphie 2 and locking them in the basement for their own good. But Devil knows what damage their mother would do if she found out…

At least they make for pleasant company… And Diavolo seems to like them quite a bit himself so the mortal gets a pass from him. Now if they’d only consider their own safety for a change…

Mammon

They make him a KILLING.

Like, no seriously. Their produce is insane!! He’s never tasted food so good, especially stuff that’s come fresh from the ground! It only took a few berries for Mammon to throw on a straw hat himself and start harvesting! He’s a farmer now, baby!!

Weeellll not quite. He’s still absolutely only in it for the money, but anything he brings to a farmer’s market goes so fast that he can hardly care about the labor! He’s never made this much Grimm in his life!! And it’s totally legit for a change!

He bought himself another car, paid off half of his debt, and even got Levi back that 2 or 3 grand he leant him centuries ago. Really, Mammon’s living his best life and it’s all thanks to MC!

It’s a good thing his blatant grifting doesn’t hurt his relationship with them at all, in fact they seem to enjoy having his help regardless. They bring him drinks on hot days or invite him on picnics and stuff, it’s… it’s really sweet. They’re very nice to him and he appreciates it…

But… COULD YA JUST STAY PUT ALREADY???

It drives him INSANE that they won’t stay out of dangerous places!! After he started caring about them for more than just a meal ticket it only got even worse!!

He’s not usually one for monitoring someone’s every move (that kind of control freak behavior is more a Lucifer thing) but he eventually had to set up familiars around the House just to keep them from sneaking out at night...

What was so interesting out there anyway?? There wasn’t any kind of plant that he could bring them himself! They didn’t have any need to be out there!! 

They’d keep telling him they’d be fine but it’s not like he’s going to actually buy that. They were too… nice to be dangerous or anything so why would he believe them?

No more running off, MC! Please, he’s beggin’ ya!!

Leviathan 

Wait, gardening? Like, being outdoors and stuff? Ew. No thanks, he’ll pass.

That was more or less his first reaction when they showed up and it never really got much better than that…

He admits that they’re friendly and it’s not like he dislikes them or anything, but their thing so far from his thing that they just don’t have a lot in common… you know?

For starters, they get So. Antsy. when they’re inside for too long! He tried to invite them to a marathon once, but they could hardly keep still and kept looking around like they were searching for a window… He said, “to jump out of.” They insisted just for some fresh air, but he didn’t buy it...

They’re nice enough to listen to his rants, but they’re barely ever inside for him to do so and like HELL is he going to leave his room and stand around out there for that long. Ranting is at least a one to two hour engagement! What if he gets hot out there? And have you SEEN Devildom bees?? Hell no!!

He has, however, asked them on multiple occasions to reproduce flowers he’s seen in different anime, especially ones that have a very unique look and they’ve done some real wonders with that!

He can now claim to be the only person to ever own a Ruby-Jade Vine plant, straight from the pages of TSL when it was used to brew tea for the Lord of Lechery during his brief illness and-is anyone even still listening anymore?

The point is, it’s a flower so rare it was imaginary but now HE has it!... or had it for about a week until his utter incompetence of all things plant killed it…

He begged the MC for another but they were out of the plants they needed to make it and would have to go back to the human world to find more… He’s still mourning his loss… Poor Henry 4.0…

Satan

Well… He’s called this MC “salt of the Earth” and he does truly mean it. Take of that what you will.

He doesn’t get much in the way of intellectual conversation out of this mortal UNLESS he’s talking about plants, farming, or botany… Interesting topics and complex in their own right to be sure, but that’s pretty much their wheelhouse and they like it there.

That being said, the feats that they can perform are genuinely mind-blowing! They are the ONLY person he has ever met who can cultivate the Devildom’s own ultra-rare Phantom Orchid, a plant only blooms when it reaches a perfect state of undeath (i.e. both taken care of and neglected just enough so that it's only barely alive. The balance is so tricky to master that one hasn’t bloomed down there for centuries!)

There’s also something just genuinely relaxing about watching them work or helping them in the gardens… More so than he’d ever expected from such a simple activity.

He admits that he’s taken quite a few strolls through the flower-filled courtyard of the Demon Lord’s Castle just to admire its beauty... But anything that they can grow just blows all of that out of the water!

They even taught him several magic botanical techniques so now he can grow some pretty mad plants himself. Lucifer never expected to find that giant Venus Flytrap in his closet, but one was there regardless. 😏

Just… out of curiosity one day, he asked the MC if they could make him a new kind of catnip. Not for any nefarious reason! You know… just for research purposes…

The nip they made was so effective that the House grounds were FILLED with nipped-up cats for a whole month! He was in Heaven!! (and Lucifer practically wiped those plants from existence so he couldn’t get any more… asshole...)

That must have inspired them because they apparently made a demons-only version that they told him about WELL after the fact. Had he known, he probably would have burned the stuff on principle... Do you know how dangerous demon-nip could be to them? Experiment responsibly, MC!

Asmodeus 

Ehhhh, gardening SOUNDS like one of those things that should be super Devilgram-able, but then you realize how sweaty and dirty you get in the process and it’s a huge turn off… Sorry MC.

When they first came down to the Devildom, he thought two things: 1) Such a sweet little flower child, as adorable as they were, would never survive; and 2) even if they could, he would never ever see eye-to-eye with them on the “wonders” of getting all up in the dirt.

Well, he was right about 2, but certainly not 1. Personally, he thinks his brothers worry about them too much, they ARE still a demigod.

At one point he saw a pack of hellhounds almost trample one of their vegetable gardens and they lost it. Word to the wise, never try to take on a child of Demeter in their own garden. Those hounds were wrapped up in rose vines before they could even yelp...

Yeah, the MC would be fine.

That being said, while everybody else clamors over their produce, he thinks that their flowers are really where it’s at!

Taking just five minutes in one of their gardens is something else... He’s never seen blossoms as healthy and immaculate in all the Devildom before! Their beauty could (almost) rivals his own! What they do isn’t just a hobby, it’s an art.

He’s taken multiple pictures with their blossoms and they go viral every time. It’s so rare to actually see gorgeous, petal-filled flowers in the Devildom, most of the native plants are of the man-eating variety.

His only complaint about this MC is that they seem to feel much more at home in work clothes and dirt than they do in any sort of party-look he tries to give them… Cute as they are, they can afford to gussy up sometimes can’t they? Mud and grass stains don’t make for a good look, sorry.

Beelzebub 

Beel gardens and the MC gardens as well. Add on that they seem to be able to grow all manner of fruits and veggies and he likes this one. A lot.

They had just finished apple-picking when the portal nabbed them so they had a massive basket of apples at the time. Naturally, Beel more or less stole the thing on sight, but the apples inside were so juicy and good that he almost shook them down for more on the spot!

Imagine his surprise when they, half pleadingly, explained to him that if he got them some seeds they could just grow more… and it wouldn’t even take that long.

To be clear, the formula he saw was this: Get seeds > bring seeds to mortal > mortal grows seeds > mortal makes endless supply of food….

Congratulations MC, you’ve now earned the sixthborn’s eternal loyalty after a grand total of… two minutes. He didn’t even know their name, but he was willing to take a bullet for them (provided he got more of those apples).

The next several months were spent with Beel attached to them to the hip in some way, but honestly? It was just so wholesome anyway…

If he’s helping in the garden, he never complains. He does most of the heavy lifting and actually likes being out there with them (unlike others...)

Many afternoons were spent sitting under fruit trees and talking. Sometimes, they go to the trouble of preparing a picnic or something but it would always inevitably end with Beel plucking the whole tree clean of whatever ripe (or unripe) fruit he can get his hands on with a smile. 

The MC never minded though. That’s just another excuse to grow more, right?

His only problem was when the MC would sneak out to the forest… especially when they get too antsy and just go alone. 

He HATES it when they do that! How is he supposed to keep them safe if they just wander off?? He knows that they have a special connection to nature and all, but it isn’t safe…

He’s flown in and scooped them back up to the House on numerous occasions and his “talking tos” get sterner after every rescue... Please stay put, MC! He’d have so many reasons to be sad if you were eaten… 😔

Belphegor 

Okay, he was looking for a capable, if not gullible, human. Not a shoeless flower hippy!

He honestly wasn't expecting much out of this one... Damn their little heart because they did genuinely believed his lies, it’s just that they weren't… well… They were really good at gardening.

… And it grew kind of hard to keep hating them whenever they'd show up just to give him fresh berries or a bouquet to see him smile… He may claim that his heart is made of nightmares and orphan tears, but who doesn’t enjoy being given a batch of flowers? 

Damn their sweetness too… Right to here.

When it came time to kill them he had a heavier heart than he thought he would, but kind of saw it like putting down the sacrificial lamb. Gotta be done to reach better goals... Stiff upper lip and all that.

Unfortunately for him, they had taken to carrying packets of demon-nip with them as a self-defense measure…

He wasn’t exactly sure what he expected when they shouted “Get nipped!” at him mid-attack, but it wasn’t a face full of some smelly herb! Like, really smelly…! Actually, that smelt kind of good… Hold on.

Turns out murderous rage really doesn’t last long after you get what is effectively ultra-strong catnip thrown in your face. They ended up having to go and tell Lucifer what happened themselves because Belphie was way too blissed out on the floor to do anything... They were legitimately worried they might have fried his brain...

He’s told the effects of the demon-nip lasted three days. He doesn’t know, because he hardly remembers any of it... They described him as like he was high on “weed” and “ecstasy” at the same time but he doesn’t know what either of those are either so it wasn’t helpful…

Truthfully, they were so nice to him while he was recovering that he couldn’t even be mad afterwards so all's well that ends well? Either way, he’s sleeping under their orchard trees from now on. It’s peaceful out there...

They burnt all that nip though. It’s some strong stuff...

Lucifer

He got upset at MC once and they flinched when he yelled and they started apologizing like there was no tomorrow. That was how he found out something was wrong. They wouldn’t say anything, but he could tell that something was deeply wrong. Perhaps he had never noticed before the formation of their pact how MC shuddered around him whenever he got upset, but now he did.

He is very careful not to yell again and when he does he is quick to lower his voice the second MC shows distress, reassuring them that he is not angry at them and would not harm them. It sounds almost hollow after how he acted when they originally met, but he means it.

There was one time MC dropped a dish on the floor while cooking and it broke, spilling hot food everywhere. They started picking up the pieces in a hurry, not even paying attention to how the hot shards burned and cut up their hands.

Lucifer was quick to pick them up off the ground and tend to the fresh injuries, all while they kept apologizing and saying that they would clean it up as soon as they could and saying they would make something else. Lucifer forbade them from doing either and cleaned the mess himself. He did that a lot. Took care of their ‘mistakes’ and cared for them. They would almost believe he wasn't the same terrifying man they had first met.

It takes a long time for MC to get used to their new relationship with Lucifer and once they do they are far more comfortable and less skittish.

He is not pressuring the story out of them. He can wait, as difficult as it is, for them to open up. However, he is no fool. He knows who is to blame, and that man should be very afraid should Lucifer and he ever meet.

Mammon

MC always spoke so well of their husband when they first met the brothers. Mammon was actually jealous and wished MC would talk about him that way. They would always say how kind their husband was and how he loved them and how he wanted the best for them. It sounded like some kind of cheesy romance novel.

Things started to get weird though when he and MC started to get even closer. He would invite them out, only to hear “I don’t think my husband would like that” or “I shouldn’t be alone with you”. It was weird the first time, but it quickly became a pattern. A very worrying pattern. Mammon knew abuse when he saw it. He was the family butt monkey and a witch punching bag, after all.

The difference is that he’s a fallen angel that is used to such treatment and, as a demon, the things done to him do very little in the long run. Humans are far more fragile though; their minds, bodies, and hearts. And then Mammon started to hate MC’s husband with a passion that could not be matched.

He cared less about making that bastard pay and more about taking care of MC. Such treatment can ruin a person, especially good people like MC. He would do anything to show them that they deserved better than that man, whatever that eventually meant.

Leviathan

He and MC have a little too much in common for his taste. It is actually almost disgusting how little self-worth they seem to have, but he can also see how that was trained into them.

They play down their worth a lot: “It’s nothing”, “It could be better”, “I failed again”, etc. They never say anything positive about themself. They are really good at picking out their flaws, but almost incapable of pointing out their merits.

It goes against everything Levi believes in, but he has to start praising them since they won’t praise themself. He likes hanging out with them, the stuff they make is nice, they are a really quick learner. It feels weird to praise someone, but it’s nice to see MC start to feel a little better about all the things they do.

Although, he also has the mild thought of showing MC’s husband that there are more terrifying things in the world than the horrors a human is capable of. After all, Levi has seen the monsters that dwell in the deep; he is one of those monsters and there is a reason humans fear the darkest depths.

Satan

There are some wonderful upsides to being the avatar of wrath. Normally, Satan wouldn't be so crass as to give into them, but sometimes humanity is just so vile that he can't help himself.

One of those upsides is a mind filled to the brim with the instinctual desire to rip and tear anything he can get his hands on to pieces. It's an instinct he fights off constantly with his centuries of training and self-discovery, but just this once he doesn't mind becoming the beast he was born as.

MC's husband squeals like a stuck pig throughout the entire night, only the winds, spiders, and Satan being able to hear and appreciate the sound. And appreciate it he does, until the screaming stops and his hands are drenched with blood.

He really needs to get himself cleaned off before he sees MC again, otherwise they will be terrified. He needs to look his best when they come running to him worried about their missing husband. It’s sad how much they worry about him despite everything.

Asmodeus

MC was always so calm and docile when he wanted to spend time with them. He didn’t really get it at first but it was easier to dress them up and take them out, so he didn’t question it. At least, not until someone (read: Solomon) not so subtly pointed out that it is unusual for someone to be so passive, almost to the point of being doll-like.

Asmo didn’t believe it at first. How could anyone treat someone as sweet as MC so cruelly, especially someone that is supposed to love them? But from that day onward, his eyes were opened up and he started to notice things.

The way they didn’t put forth their own opinions and let him take the lead on everything, how they stuck close to him when they both went out, the subtle way their fingers reached out then drew back when they liked something.

“Do you like it?” He would ask and their response was “do you?”

It was so difficult to get them to start putting their own wants and desires above what they thought he’d like. When they showed interest in something, he would fawn all over it. If they liked something, he liked it too. He would buy them things they even glanced casually at, told them they were worthwhile and lovely, anything that other man would never say to them.

He tore them down so completely, but Asmo would work tirelessly to build them back up.

Beelzebub

He is the softest man in the world, and sometimes MC just lets things slip out. He’s very easy to open up to and they don’t think about what they say. He was the first person that they opened up to about what was happening to them.

Suffice it to say, Beel was shocked when they mentioned how terrified they were for the exchange program to end. Despite everything that they had been through over the past year, they didn’t want to go back.

Beel had only felt so powerless one other time in his life. He couldn’t go with them to protect them and they couldn’t stay in the Devildom forever to stay safe. It was painfully cruel just how much he couldn’t help them.

All he could do was hold them and listen to them get everything off of their chest, dreading the day that the exchange program would end.

MC has to hurry up and learn how to summon him, because he wants to keep them safe from that awful situation. He would never allow another person it the world to hurt them again.

Belphegor

Belphie likes exactly one human in the three realms and every other one is none of his concern. Or, they wouldn’t be his concern if it weren’t for the fact that the one human he cared about was the victim of this particular instance.

He’s not like some of his other brothers. He doesn’t do comfort and he isn’t the best at torture, prefering to get everything over with quickly so he doesn’t have to expend all the extra energy. But, for such a special occasion, he is more than willing to put in the effort.

Humans really do create their own worst fears. Their minds run a mile a minute and they have the strangest way of finding how their own terrors can overpower what little defenses they have.

He may not be able to touch MC’s husband, but he can certainly return every slight against his favorite human. Long, sleepless nights wracked with unending horrors that only that man can truly appreciate.

All the while, he will gladly hold MC when their own nightmares overtake them, trying to put their mind at ease for just this moment. How he wished that his powers could control the waking world as well as their dreams...

Diavolo

“Don’t go back.” It was the first time Diavolo had brought up the idea. It was one he had been considering for a long time, knowing that it was extreme given that MC was a human and had to live in the human realm. However, he couldn’t live with himself knowing the kind of life MC would return to once they left.

The shouting, the insults, discarding everything MC liked because their husband doesn’t care for it… Diavolo would never feel right knowing he sent someone dear to him back there.

He had the means to help them get literally anywhere but back to that man. Diavolo could help set them free from that life, even if they didn’t want to stay in the Devildom. He knew MC would have the support of everyone they had met.

All they had to do was say yes and he would move the Devildom itself to get them out of there.

I want to talk about Lucifer in lesson 48 (mostly text because I love to analyze characters and write too much):

Alright. For anyone who has been to that point in the game, or for the other half who doesn't care about spoilers, I feel like getting deeper into the internal conflict that Lucifer faces around the end of this lesson, because it is definitely worth talking about.

So, lesson 48. We have the end of the whole karaoke game ordeal, with Levi saving the day, and Diavolo finally gets to have a private talk with MC. Then, he eventually departs, but there are so much stuff happening with Lucifer in this chapter, while him not being directly a central character.

You have Lucifer who, since lesson 20, has made it very clear to MC that as soon as their relationship started, they weren't going to get out of it easily. Or at least without him having a say in it. He's a possessive demon, mostly due to his pride, but also because he truly cares for MC.

And then you have probably the most horrible thing that could happen to him in this lesson. After learning that Diavolo wants to have a private conversation with MC outside of the house, we can see the struggle he faces to keep them away from him. Just as MC is about to join Diavolo, he almost stops them (or was he about to let them know what Diavolo might say? Was Lucifer going to remind them of the feelings he has for MC?), but drops it right away.

Lucifer actually listens in on the conversation. Diavolo reveals some part of his feelings for MC, saying that he adores them. Just as he is about to straight up say he loves them, Barbatos arrives, and so Diavolo is forced to go back to the Devildom. And suddenly, Lucifer starts playing ignorant with MC when they ask how long he's been outside and listening on them. MC can choose to hold his hand, a gesture to which Lucifer responds with a very blurry "honesty", saying that he wasn't actually eavesdropping, but rather waiting for the right moment to cut in. Aka, he was going to butt in at the exact moment Diavolo was about to reveal his feelings for MC.

It's such a horrible situation. Lucifer actually realizes that his boss, the demon he has pledged loyalty to all those thousands of years ago, loves the same person that he does. Internally, Lucifer cannot accept it. Because, Diavolo is not only the most powerful demon after his father, but he is also the future king. Lucifer suddenly becomes terrified of the idea of losing the human he loves to Diavolo, because Diavolo has the actual means to actually take them away from him. He's the prince. He's his boss. If Diavolo were to ever say "MC has to live with me now", Lucifer wouldn't be able to say no.

We then see through Lucifer in this lesson, not only in the silence he gives to MC and Diavolo in the story, but the way he responds to Barbatos in this chat by acting like he doesn't know why Diavolo is feeling down, that he does not know how to deal with his emotions about all this.

He probably hates it. There's a real emotional struggle inside his mind during this lesson, the kind where he doesn't know what to make of his loyalty to the prince when it comes to MC. Should he risk having MC and Diavolo talk, and fear that they might gain feelings for him and leave Lucifer and the brothers behind? Or does he have the strength to face Diavolo for the first time as they fight over who would gain MC's companionship?

It's a bit funny in the sense that it sounds like two animals about to fight over territory, except that one of them is the alpha male that nobody can say no to. But to me, I actually ache for Lucifer. He already had to share MC with his brothers for what, a year and a half, two years ever since they first arrived in the Devildom? And now he learns that the prince himself might snatch them away from him completely (let's be honest, as much as we enjoy their interactions/friendship, it's clear that Lucifer is not about to share MC with him. Diavolo has felt lonely for so many years, the entire concept of "hogging" would have to be rewritten if he ever got ahold of MC on a romantic level).

It's just... so sad. Lucifer grew used to having his brothers around MC. But he can't accept that yet another demon wants their affection, not when the risk of them leaving the House of Lamentation is too great due to said demon being the literal prince of Hell. It's sad, yet so interesting to watch. I really wonder how he's going to deal with this in the next lessons.

Risotto, Prosciutto and Diavolo falling for femme fatale reader

Risotto

No need to say, Risotto has noticed you. After all, he's a very observant man, and a very good Capo as well, so it's only normal he's aware of his surroundings and the environment in which his team works.

However, as he doesn't know anything about you, he thinks that it's only a matter of time before he has to introduce himself to you and try to assess if you're an enemy to his team or not. He's fairly comfortable with the idea of going up to you and engage in a conversation, but is reluctant to use his invisibility powers to spy on you, as you could be an ally.

Risotto isn't one to be easily attracted to people, but he has to admit that your extremely elegant and sharp looks is something he doesn't see quite often. He's really quick to guess that this is also a way for you to assert dominance in whatever mission or deal you may have to complete; you're in the mafia, after all.

He comes up to you on an ordinary day while you are out in the park, profiting from the shiny sun of the early afternoon. Risotto stays very diplomatic, sitting accross from you on the bench, introducing himself very clearly. "Should my team be involved in any business with you, and/or your teammates if you have any on your side, I sincerely hope it will be from an ally perspective." It could sound like a threat, except that the man is lightly smiling at you, meaning that he truly looks forward to seeing you again, and that if your businesses were to mingle, he hopes it wouldn't end up in you being his enemy. After discussing with you for a moment, he realizes that you're quite appreciable.

If you, on your side, make him know that you're willing to help him get some missions done - you're quite powerful, after all -, he could be interested in the offer. If it means his team can make more money, and gain an ally, why not ?

Your newly born 'work-mates' relationship is something that Risotto really appreciates, and not only that, but he also has a deep respect for the way you accomplish your work. It will maybe take a time before he finally decides to ask you out - on the account that you've already made him know that you're interested -, but it'll get there. Even Risotto cannot resist your charm.

Prosciutto

It's been a quite a time since Prosciutto noticed you in the streets of Napoli. Whether he was out in the evening, eating in a restaurant, or taking a stroll after his mission while smoking, it was difficult not noticing you.

You had an outstanding attitude, a proud look on your face, along with a very nice shade of lip color that looked like dark cherry. Prosciutto knew, someway, that you were part of the mafia as well, but he'd never heard about you in his team's reports, nor in the discussions he oftened like to partake in with a few other gangsters outside of La Squadra. No, he didn't know who was that mysterious, charming woman he'd seen several times before, but he was sure annoyed by that.

Prosciutto likes to assess people's personalities by looking at them first and foremost. Hence, that is with no surprise that both of your gazes come to meet each other a few times during the week. Except, Prosciutto holds himself to that. No more. He knows he shouldn't get involved in any other thing than work with another mafia member, as he's part of a team that has its own interests. So, no place for romance...

That is until one evening, you both end up in the same bar, sat next to each other due to nothing else than pure fate. So now that you're both here, why not seize the day ? Prosciutto thinks.

After having assessed your willingness to get involved in a talk, he'll engage in a conversation. "I've seen you around for quite some time now. What does a person like you does while wandering the streets of Napoli on her own?" It's up to you to answer him, but Prosciutto lives for quite mysterious auras like yours. He will not hesitate to make you know that he's interested.

Your bold and confident personality surprise him, in a very good way, and he doesn't refuse the drink that you offer him. Witnessing your seductive and charming manners, he can't help but to look at you, admiring how you present yourself.

If you two decide to follow-up on that encounter and to see each other more often, he's surely not against that. As the gentleman he is, one day will come when he'll be happy to invite you to eat in a nice, classy restaurant.

Diavolo

Well, it's a tricky situation, because first of all, in no way Diavolo would allow himself to let any person stay in La Passione if he feels like they are in for power and have too much ambition. Although he doesn't recruit members -as it's the job of a Capo,not a Boss-, he likes to do his own research on who is in the gang. He needs to know who could become a potential threat to him, after all.

The fact that you often encounter this pink-haired man at your local bakery is no coincidence. After a while, he'll come up to you to ask about the kind of bakery he should consider buying, because you seem like a regular here. The way you carry yourself is something that intrigues him more than anything, and maybe so much to the point of him being willing to consider letting you in in his life, - a very small part of his life at least.

Diavolo will not introduce himself. Even his outfit, for anonymity purposes, will be as discrete as possible, a dark costume and an ordinary hat. However, it will really be him, and not Doppio, unless he comes here a few times to look at you from afar. Diavolo will do everything in his power not to be noticed, or at least to be considered like nothing more than a civil; but he will allow you to ask him some questions as most people that come to you are usually from La Passione.

If you're risky enough to flirt with him, he'll maybe consider taking you out on a date. But you've got to be aware, that if you get to see his face, you'll no longer be ever alone in the streets of Napoli, and always looked over - if things turn to good, or to bad.

You two really make a classy and powerful pair. Your daring and smart looks is the spice to his overly secretive life. Watching you reapply your signature lipstick to readjust your femme fatale look makes him think that maybe, maybe, he could trust you enough to let you in the Unità Speciale and know that you will do a wonderful job.

-If it’s just the two of you hanging out, he has an easier time opening up about Lilith because he knows you would never judge him and respect his feelings enough to let him get it out of his system

Okay so. I haven't watched the new batch of Stone Ocean yet (waiting for a friend to catch up and then we're going to watch them weekly to replicate JoJo Fridays :]) and I'm an anime-only, but just based off my impressions, Hot Pants and Yasuho are lovely and deserve the world, and Anasui is terrible but also pathetic and honestly? I kind of love that

Anyhow. For the ones I do know.

Reimi is a sweetheart and she deserved more screentime. That moment at the end of DIU where she basically sends Kira to Hand Hell? Excellent. Immaculate. I also really wish they would've explored her relationship with Rohan more, especially since she knew him as a kid (and seemingly before he became Like That). I've seen people toss around some headcanons about her being friends with Tomoko/Aya/Shinobu before her death. Idk she had a lot of missed potential (like most JoJo women :/), but I do like her a lot!!

Trish <333 Best girl pre-SO. Pinkest girl ever. The only woman in Italy. Again, I wish she had more development in the series proper, and I don't like that she's pretty much a Macguffin for half of VA, but I love that she eventually becomes an active player and serves as a sort of contrast against the rest of the Fucked Up main cast. At the end of the day, she's not like the rest of them - she's a normal girl that's been thrust into this situation - but the fact that she hasn't been hardened and disillusioned through years of violence is a strength, and that's sick as hell. I think she's an interesting parallel to Giorno, in that he actively shuts out "soft" things (ie emotions and feelings) with this stoic, somewhat distant demeanor - and so does Trish, at first. And while Giorno doesn't really grow much as a character in VA (which is. a topic for another day), Trish does; it's once she puts away the aloof primadonna façade and embraces the things that make her her that she truly becomes strong. Anyhow I think that's neat.

Doppio is. Fine. I guess. Idk I don't think about him much, he's funny and fucked up and the fight with him and Risotto was sick. The fandom does him really dirty. I just. Uh. Have no deep thoughts about him. Shrugs.

Diavolo I do have some thoughts on. People have written thought-provoking essays about morality in VA that convey my thoughts better than I could, but to me, unlike other JoJo villain fates, nothing about his felt cathartic? And that's because imo, he's not a very well-developed or good villain. Obviously some of this just comes by virtue of him not existing on screen until the final act (and then spending most of that as a spirit in other people's bodies), but like. he never feels truly threatening, because all his Evil Acts are pretty much off-screen, or committed while he's nothing more than a shrouded, vague concept. Like, we're told he sells drugs, and That's The Worst Thing Ever because Giorno and Bucciarati think it is. He tortures and kills Sorbet and Gelato, but... the main cast does the same thing. Constantly. Like, I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere that Giorno and Narancia have some of the highest kill counts in the series (for protagonists at least), Mista is seemingly well-practiced in some fucked up torture methods, and. I mean. Look at what Giorno does to Diavolo at the end of the part. Diavolo tries to kill Trish, donuts Bucciarati, and kills Abbacchio while he's not even visible and we don't have any tangible character to tie the concept of the Boss to, and Narancia's death happens completely off-screen, making him feel less involved with these events, I guess - especially compared to, say, Dio making Jonathan's life hell and personally gutting Kakyoin, Kira carrying around the evidence of his murders and killing Shigechi/nearly killing Okuyasu on-screen, etc. Resisting my urge to rant about Giorno again, but I think part of it has to do with the fact that the protagonist he's up against has had very little struggle against any opponent, and the suspension of disbelief isn't enough for me to think that, hm, maybe Giorno won't kick his ass immediately (which. he does.) It just makes his fate feel disproportionate and his role as a villain kinda ineffective. Idk. That probably makes no sense but I have a lot of. Thoughts. About VA's writing. And Diavolo is a major part of it.

How they cry

Just some HC's I have for how the brothers do cry:

Warnings: I think just sadness in here or depression. I don't think there are major tw's here.

Lucifer:

*Prideful silent crier.

*He won't cry in public for nothing in his whole life, his pride doesn't allow him to do that at all. And if he can't help himself and cries, he'll say something got inside his eye.

*In his room or office, no one to watch him cry. He sits down and puts his hands on his face, sobs silently. Casts a sound-proof spell to prevent his cries or sobs to be listened outside his door.

*If he's depressed, ice cream eater. Disheveled look, hair a mess and face unkept, tears and dried tears stuck in his eyes and face as he eats ice cream.

*He doesn't go outside his room during the whole time he's in this state.

*Though he sends Mammon texts to ask him how is everyone doing, every five seconds.

*Cue a worried Diavolo outside his room, demanding him to let him in.

Mammon:

*No shame in crying. He just cries, whether in public or private.

*Sobs so loudly that he almost chokes on his sobs.

*Even in Lucifer's arms, when he just glomps onto him. Doesn't care anymore if he's pushed or mocked. Though Lucifer really doesn't deny him some comfort from time to time, he's allowed to cry there.

*If depressed he loses all interests in money or gambling, just hangs inside his room, in bed facedown on, face stuffed in his pillow.

*The whole duration of it lasts for a least a week, if he snaps out quickly, then three days the much.

*Eats very little to nothing. Plates of food are put outside his door, but they're untouched until later.

*Lucifer tries to be a good brother when he's in this state, letting him get away with much, even if later there are regrets, but he tries.

Leviathan:

*This Otaku is a big crybaby. When things get too much for him, he confines himself in his room and cries to Henry or inside his tub bed.

*Literally spent a month isolated from the world and everyone, depressed and too sad for dealing with the world.

*His Ruri-chan pillow is covered in tears and snot. He laments to his 'fictional girlfriend' about how hard his life is and that only her and Henry do understand him.

*Doesn't sleep anymore because he can't. Is very much sleep-deprived. His looks gets unkept and doesn't hide it.

*Mammon has tried once to get him all anime merch and stuff, but with no victory. The Otaku just shouts him out and cries that he just wants to be left alone.

*Impossible to get him out of his room.

Satan:

*Angry crier.

*When he's fed up with everything, he just lets out his wrath and destroys a lot of stuff. The forest the leads to the House of Lamentation almost doesn't have trees, he has destroyed them in demon form.

*Doesn't put up with his brothers, he threatens to beat them up if they bother him. He's not up for brotherly jokes when he's like this. And for once stops to try and pester Lucifer. Doesn't even want to see or deal with him.

*He cries inside his room, reading depressing novels, doesn't really help with how depressed he feels. As he reads, his books are covered with tears that fall on them.

*Even cats can't comfort him when he's this way, it only makes him to cry and destroy stuff more and more. Curses everyone and everything. Lucifer is the one who gets cursed infinite times.

*He likes classical music so he puts very depressing music. Dido's Lament. Just perfect when the mood's already too melancholic.

Asmodeus:

*Dramaqueen. Loud crier.

*Just insult his beauty or tell him that he's out of fashion and he quickly turns this way.

*Once came back running home in savage tears, not even stopping to greet Lucifer who was at the entrance waiting for him and went straight to his room.

*He's a mess. Makeup and eyeliner all spoiled and run down his cheeks with his tears. Cries like a banshee. Doesn't care anymore, just cries and cries.

*He doesn't cast any sound-proof spell and all that loud crying is heard around the entire House.

*Satan has tried and cheer him up with the latest of beauty products, but Asmo only responded with crying even louder and started throwing objects across his room, making it clear that he wanted to be alone.

*Laments ever being born. Laments about everything, in this melancholic state he's so vulnerable and honestly it's a pity to see him in that mess. Until he snaps out of it, things get back to normal but it does take a while.

Beelzebub:

*Public and private crier.

*It's canon that when he gets to his breaking point he cries waterfall tears and stress eats. But if he's THAT depressed or sad, he stops eating which is a true shock for he's Gluttony after all, and he has to eat all the time.

*Even when he's not to that point of not wanting to eat, he sobs as he munches until the taste turns grim and not up for his liking. He drops all desire to eat, limiting himself to cry there where he can't bother anyone.

*In his room he sits in bed and sobs quietly, he's not a loud crier like Asmo, he still can be heard if there's not any sound-proof spells in there.

*To comfort him Belphie brings him food from outside, sometimes he accepts it, other times he denies it with just not being interested in eating at the moment. Belphie feels truly awful when Beel is like that because they have a telepathic connection. He does try to provide comfort even if it'll take time.

*Almost cried for two days, but after that amount of time, he regained his composture, the tears stopped but he still felt too bad about what put him that way.

Belphegor:

*Silent crier.

*If he's not sleeping, when he gets to a breaking point he let's everything out. Needing to stop supressing it. He rarely cries, but when he does, he does.

*Goes to Lilith's room when he needs some space and cries in there, not really wanting to be around his brothers. Any out of place joke would just put him in sucha mood and he just wants to be alone when in this state.

*When Beel's around, he's the only one allowed to talk to him as he's crying, he won't accept this from the others. Beel is who he trusts the most to have near when he does want to have someone with him.

*When lonely in Lilith's room that's kept at the House of Lamentation, he speaks to her, even if she can't hear him. Of how much he feels he's a monster. The soothing ambiance of his sister's room, helps a bit, there's no noisy brothers to be disturbed.

*He doesn't really take a lot of time to feel better, only a day or so. Then he's just sleeping once again after crying.

Some Obey Me Headcanons!

Part One!!

Lucifer

Lucifer has always been the dad sibling. After each of his brothers were “born” while they were angels, he was the one to raise and teach them everything.

It’s common knowledge that Mammon is his favorite. Even if he hates to admit it. He’s hardest on Mammon because it’s the only thing he knows how to do anymore.

Despite the fact that they don’t seem to get along because of Mammon’s antics, Lucifer only ever confides some of his most pent up feelings to the second born. 

The only other person he confides in this deeply is MC.

Before the fall, Belphie was his second favorite brother. Even after things have settled after Belphie was free again, he can never look at the youngest the same.

All he wants is for his brothers to be happy and live on. Even if it means working himself into the ground for their sakes.

He doesn’t ask for help. Help has to be forced upon him.

With how much he works, even at home, it’s not uncommon to find him napping with a pen in hand at his desk and his head on his paperwork.

He wishes he had done better raising Satan. He blames himself for their strained relationship, but he feels as if it is too late to truly fix it.

Sometimes he also wishes he had raised Satan as his son and not his brother, considering Satan was born from his wrath.

Children, for some reason or another, flock to him.

His control issues and needing to know everything that happens under his roof stems from the trauma of the war, the fall, and what happened with Lilith. 

It’s his deepest fear that he will lose his brothers and be completely and utterly alone.

A bisexual mess of a demon. No one can convince me he doesn’t have at least a small crush on Diavolo. 

Mammon

Oh the second born brother. He just wants to see everybody happy. But he always messes up and ends up making people angry instead.

He has severe impulse control issues, hence why he’s broke all the time. It isn’t that he doesn’t want to save his Grimm, I headcanon that his sin of Greed compels him to spend. It controls him and so he struggles to keep money. 

But by gods does he have great luck with gambling. Get him going and he will win big every single time.

But keep that money where he can’t just grab it or else he will be compelled by his sin to buy things.

He doesn’t even want most of the things he buys. His sin took root in that empty space left from the fall and being cast out by the one he called his father. 

His sin pushes him to try and fill that void with objects and money when really he just wants someone’s love.

After centuries of being called scum and a degenerate because of something he has little control over, he gave up trying and gave into just being his sin.

He cries easy but only to MC or Lucifer. He won’t show his tears to any of his other brothers. Maybe Beel sometimes. But only sometimes.

He knows Lucifer’s most precious and deepest secrets. He’s his brother’s confidant. But he doesn’t even breathe a word of these secrets to anyone else.

He tries so hard to get attention, so he does stupid shit. After falling to Devildom, his family was changed forever. So any attention is good attention even when it’s him being punished. 

MC is the one who showed him positive love and attention again. It is one of many reasons he sticks to their side like fucking super glue to skin.

He’s actually a total mom-friend, though you wouldn’t guess it. You’d think he is the type to get drunk and pass out at a party? His alcohol tolerance is actually much higher than he lets on. He cleans up and takes care of people after they’ve all passed out.

Leviathan

He wasn’t nearly as anxious and against socializing before falling to Devildom. He retreated into himself out of fear of the unknown world they had all fallen into after the war.

He has an anxious attachment style. He knows it isn’t healthy. It’s rooted in the trauma that losing Lilith created.

The longer he stayed closed in on himself, the worse his anxiety got. To the point he became a recluse. 

He fears getting close to someone. He feels insecure in relationships, not just in himself. He doesn’t feel like he’s good enough.

He’s had relationships in Devildom before, but the first one ended poorly and it only made things worse for how he saw himself. The demon only dated him because of who he was, and preferred his status as the Grand Admiral of Hell’s Navy. Not as who he really is. 

The few relationships that came after all ended before they really could begin because his anxiety monster was screaming that he wasn’t really good enough. That they only ever pursued him for who he was in status and power.

MC’s persistence to become his friend is what made him begin to do some self-reflection.

They tried so hard to become friends with him, they put so much effort into him, and they encourage him to just be himself. If they do all of that, maybe he really is enough as he is.

He does try to step outside of his comfort zone more because MC opened his eyes to the truth of himself. 

But baby steps are needed.

He taught himself how to code just so he could make games. He got bored after making one and preferred playing to creating.

He doesn’t actually hate Mammon. Their little rivalry traces back to when they were angels and still growing up, competing for Lucifer’s attention. He actually loves his brother very much, despite how irritate he gets.

His envy is its own thing. It took root within his insecurities and has a voice all its own. It used to be so loud that he couldn’t think. But the growth he’s had since MC came into his life helped quiet that voice down a lot.

He’s closest with Satan and Asmo, feeling like he doesn’t fit with his older two or youngest two brothers anymore. 

Satan

He knew from day one that he wasn’t like the rest of his brothers. He was always different. Born a demon, never once an angel. He knew that they weren’t truly his brothers.

All he ever wanted was for Lucifer to be his father. Not his brother. 

Lucifer once was his hero, the person he admired and respected with all his might.

As he got older, his wrath only grew with him. And his anger at Lucifer grew as well.

He wanted to find himself as separate from Lucifer. He knew where he’d come from. But everyone treated him as if he were just some offshoot of Lucifer. He wanted to be his own person. For everyone to see that. It fueled his anger and built the wall that came between them.

He’s an excellent shoulder for comfort. He often comforts Levi when he breaks down or provides reassurance to Asmo.

These three are the middle children, they stick together.

He was alive when the Library of Alexandria was burned. Even though he wasn’t supposed to go to the human realm, he saved some texts from the library and keeps them safe.

The real reason he wears his jackets the way he does is just like when you’re in bed. If it’s full on with both sleeves, he’s too hot. If he doesn’t have it on at all he’s too cold. So one arm in a sleeve and one arm not in a sleeve.

Asmo has tried and failed to give this boy fashion help. He refuses to take it. He thinks he looked like an intellectual (for the love of god please lose the black undershirt at least, Satan).

He carries cat treats and cat food in his bag at all times in case he comes across a kitty in need.

He has sneaked many cats into the House of Lamentation. Lucifer knew the entire time but let Satan have a few days before he “found out” about the cats.

His wrath has burned strong for so long, even when he was passive, that he didn’t know what it was like to feel calm. But MC’s very presence sends a wave of peace right to his very core. 

Asmo

If you’re insecure and you know it clap your hands. 

Levi might seem like the king of insecurity, but Asmo takes the cake.

He masks his insecurities with what people think is narcissism and over confidence. He puts on a show so nobody knows how he really sees himself.

Lust was always shoved down his throat as sexual only. So he went with it. He was supposed to be the Avatar of Lust. To be what was expected of him and to make sure he was liked, he did what he thought everyone wanted.

And it turned him into someone he never wanted to be. He didn’t know how to find himself again.

He isn’t nearly as sexual and lewd as everyone thinks. He’s touchy and clingy, yes, but touch is his love language.

When he’s hurt or doesn’t feel well, if he’s had a bad day, if he’s sad- all he wants is to be held by the person he loves and who loves him. He wants to hold hands or link arms. He wants to wrap his arms around them all the time. 

But because everyone in Devildom only saw him as a sex symbol, he had to bury his truest desires. He had a persona to keep up. 

While he does love to take care of himself, he used to break mirrors because he was so sick of who he had become. It took a lot of time for him to get through it. 

His MC is the only one who wasn’t tainted by his power. A power that seemed to just be active all the time whether he wanted it or not.

Everyone was all over him but it wasn’t as if he could control it. His sin was always active, it attracted people.

But MC wasn’t interested or affected. 

And that was what was most attractive to him. 

They saw him for who he was and encouraged him to just be the true Asmo. Not the Asmo everyone wanted to see.

He is excellent at sewing. He loves making his own accessories and clothing from his own designs. 

He’s ambidextrous. You think that the king of fashion only uses one hand? Darling, if he only used one hand then his homework would never get done. He write with one hands and be painting his toes with the other. 

One of the few people that can get Levi out of his room to hang out. They’ve always been close. Sometimes he does that just so the others can get Levi’s laundry and dirty dishes.

He’s the most emotionally open and stable of the brothers. He’s made peace with his inner monsters and can coexist with them. He’s also surprisingly good at advice. 

Can and will break into Lucifer’s study to make the eldest relax because he’s working too har.

He has bobby pins on him at all times. Not just for fashion but for lockpicking! He can be clever and beautiful!

Lucifer

I kin Lucifer and I have a hard time reaching out to my friends for help even when i know i need it. I don't want people to get worried about me so i mask my issues and help everyone with thier issues, completely disregarding my own needs for a break. in the end i feel alone because regardless of saying im ok, i want someone to truly sit with me and ask me if im ok, but i fear that moment because im not used to dealing with my own issues

Mammon

I kin Mammon and i just want to feel seen and loved. sometimes i do stupid/dumb things to get the seratonin that comes from making people laugh. i feel like no one ever listens to me and it makes me feel insignificant and like the last one to get picked. i truly want to be myself and fear that if im not the odds one out by doing little dumb things people will think im essentially worthless and most likely think im borning. I have a hard time talking about my feelings and want to so desperately, that if i do i won't know what to say or where to start due to the many emotions i've bottled up throughout my life

Levi

I kin Leviathan and i have very bad anxiety. i have a difficult time making friends and part of that reason is bc im scared they already hate me or want nothing to do with me. I know my interests are different from what is considered the norm but i so desperately want to talk and ramble about said interest for hours to someone who will at the very least listen. I get bashed about the things i like by my family and although i dont show it, this hurts me deeply. I lock myself in my room and indulge myself in my favorite things bc each character makes me wish i had certain aspects of them and makes me wish i lived an interesting life but bc of my anxiety it's extremely hard for me to do so. Im also used to being the last one picked and often assume i will always be the last one picked no matter how many times im reassured and deep down i want someone to relish in my own interests with me and truly love and care for me

Satan

I kin Satan and i have a horrible realtionship with my father. I Loathe my father and the tension arises every time we a near one another. A part of me feels terrible that i loathe my father because i know he has his own mind and emotions and i want to forgive him for what he's done but in the end I know it's fruitless to forgive him bc he has put me through alot of pain and hurt. i wish things couldve been different and we couldve had a normal bond. I also hide my emotions very well and am ashamed of ever feeling angry bc it makes me feel like i am horrible person. im also not used to affection and have only ever seeked or felt genuine affection from my pets. I also fear as if i have no personality and that im boring.

Asmodeus

I kin Asmo and i feel like i need to act confident around others in order for them to like me because im too scared to show people my insecurities because i fear they will never view me the same again and leave me in disgust. I want everyone to like me and I also can't handle when someone doesn't want to be my friend or doesn't like me bc i feel if there's something wrong with me. the need to act confident and cute all the time makes me oblivious to the fact that my insecurities shine through at times and make me even more oblivious to the fact people like me for who i am, insecurities and all

Beelzebub

I kin Beel and i have some form of sepreation anxiety towards my favorite person. i often get a sudden fear that something bad will happen to my fav person even though everything is ok. I get made fun of or scolded by my eating habbits and it makes me feel absolutely terrible because i'm trying. i also care very deeply for my family/friends and will do anything for them. i place unnecessarily guilt onto myself and perfer to do so, so that no one else has to bear the burden.

Belphegor

I kin Belphie and i act as if nothing matters but i secretly am very worried and care alot about my friends/family. I also stay up very late because i feel like i have no control over my life during the day and for some reason i feel like staying up late gives me some kind of control. I also hide my emotions with a sarcastic tone and usually think about the the mistakes ive made in my past while i cry in bed. i dont ask others for help emotionally and i want someone to care and listen to me as well as to relish in a calm peaceful life.

Diavolo

I kin Diavolo and i fear that telling ppl i care about them isn't enough to get the message across so i constantly gift people things in hopes to show them i care. i also fear gifting things too much drives people away from me, i also dont get included much with friends and feel as if i have done something wrong. i also feel very upset when a fun time is over because the feeling of happiness goes with that moment, so i constantly throw little parties and whatnot to relish in the joy but feel upset once it's over. i can also read people well and get put on edge or very cautious when i cannot read someone

Barbatos

I kin barbatos and i constantly take care of others never once letting myself take a break. I hide my emotions behind a smile in order to not worry others and because i dont want dont ppls sense of depency on me to be ruined. i rarely let myself take breaks bc i fear that i wont be there for the person i care about when they need me.

Solomon

I kin solomon and i usually supress my emotions to hide the fact im not very used to being shown affection and that im not as confident as i seem. I also am a very private person but the fact im so secretive makes me disliked by some bc they think i dislike them. i also wish my friends would include me in more events with them and when they dont i bury myself in an activity to hide the fact im upset about it

Simeon

I kin simeon and i want to know and make sure they everyone is ok. i know just how to push and pull people's buttons but i wont abuse this because i care about those people. i'm also very hard to read and perfer to give people advise rather than answers to their problems. The constant taking care of others makes me forget that i also need time to just myself. It takes alot and i mean alot to anger me but once it happens it's not very pretty.

Luke

I kin luke and I want to take care of everyone and often forget to take care of myself. People often dont take me seriously and so i often i find myself baking as a coping mechisim bc it makes me feel in control of little things. I also have a hard time admitting that i care about others and i'll unknowingly show my affection that i do care about them by giving them little gifts and advice. im also very oblivious to certain topics and are i get mad when i get left in the dark about certain topics.

SFW Alphabet - Barbatos

I know I haven’t posted in a while, but since today’s Barb’s b-day, I decided I would

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

The thing is, he actually really loves giving affection. He’s usually just busy, so he never has the time. But when he does have time, expect him to be all over you (respectfully of course). His favorite form of affection is when one of you is cooking and the other will come up and give a hug from behind. He melts no matter which position he’s in. 

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Most of y’alls hangouts include baking or having tea. He also likes when you follow him around while he works so that he has company. In his free time, he likes to take you to different stores and restaurants in both the Human World and the Devildom so that you two can sample what they have. He’s also lowkey chaotic, so he might drag you into pulling pranks every now and then. 

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Again, he’s actually really affectionate, so cuddles aren’t off the table. For him, cuddling after a long day is a great way to unwind. It’s also one of the few times he lets his guard down a bit and actually begins to relax. Basically what I’m saying is, please give this man cuddles. He deserves it. 

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He’s honestly one of the best choices if you want to settle down. He can cook, clean, and any other chores you so desire. And he also loves the idea of settling down. He’s been working for so long and, while he loves his job, it can be pretty taxing on him sometimes. The idea of just leaving it all behind to settle down with the one he loves sounds like a dream to him. 

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Probably the bluntest out of anyone. Like, he does not care about how the other will react. He’s more used to people breaking up with him since he cares about his job more than them in most cases, so if he’s the one initiating the break up, then it’s for a reason. And that reason is probably not a good one. He will probably make the person cry. 

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Marriage isn’t all that interesting to him. he doesn’t find it all that necessary like others do. To him, just being together is enough, so he doesn’t need anyone to certify it for him. However, if you wanted to get married, he would never refuse.  

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

He’s surprisingly gentle. He understands how sensitive emotions can be, so he’s super careful with the one’s he cares about. The last thing he wants is to hurt someone he loves, so he’s super gentle. He’s also aware of how physically strong he is, so he tries his best to control himself so that he doesn’t accidentally lash out and hurt you. 

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He doesn’t have a lot of time, so hugs are usually rare. But he loves them anyway. they’re a great way for him to recharge throughout the day. Just pop in every now and then and give him a quick hug and he’ll just die but you won’t know that.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

It takes him a long time to say it. Not necessarily because he’s scared or not ready, but just because he doesn’t see the point in rushing it. He knows you love him and that he loves you too, so he knows the words themselves aren’t needed. When he does say it, it’ll be absolutely perfect. 

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He may seem like he doesn’t get jealous, but he does. In fact, he gets insanely jealous, especially of the brothers. You spend so much time with them, and he never has any time to spend with you since he’s always working. He hates that you two never seem to have time to be together, and that ends up making him jealous. Just give him some attention and he should calm down some. 

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

His kisses are so amazing. He always knows just what to do and when/where to do it. You will always be satisfied with him. His favorite place to kiss you is the nape of your neck since he likes the reaction it gets out of you. He also likes when you kiss his cheek since he finds it cute. 

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Oh, he hates kids. Absolutely despises them. The only exception is Luke since he is tolerable for the most part. But other than that, kids are one of his least favorite things. They’re messy, loud, and distract him from his work like Dia and the brothers lol.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

He usually has to wake up pretty early in the mornings, so they can go one of two ways. If you’re an early riser like him, you two will get ready and go to the kitchen to have breakfast together before he has to start work. If you tend to sleep in, he’ll get out of bed without waking you and send in another servant to bring you breakfast in bed with a schedule of where he has to be today so that you can come find him. 

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Night time is pretty much the only time he ever gets to just relax and not have to worry about work. Expect to be pulled away to his room and not leave until morning. This is maybe the only time he can spend with you without the fear of being pulled away from you, and he’s going to enjoy it damnit. 

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

I doubt he’d ever reveal everything about himself. After all, he is quite mysterious. Obviously, he’d trust you enough to open up about some aspects of himself, but mostly just surface level things. If you really want to know something about him, your best bet is going to Diavolo, and even then it’s most likely a lost cause. 

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

This man is the definition of patient. It takes a lot to rile him up enough to actually snap. He’s been working a Dia’s butler forever now, so he knows how to keep his emotions under control. He may feel irritated or annoyed fairly often, but he will not let it show unless he is truly angered. 

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Of course he remembers absolutely everything about you. You so much as mention something you enjoy, he already has it to give to you. He has a great memory, and that’s only enhanced by how in love with you he is. 

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

He isn’t one to have any one specific favorite, but he does love any time you two bake together. It’s such a calming thing, and you two can simply just have fun alone without having to deal with Dia or the brothers. It always brings such a smile to his face when he remembers all of the baking sessions you two have had. Even if you don’t know how to bake, that’s fine with him, cause he’s with you. 

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

He’s very protective, but in a subtle way. He’s never one to be bold or over the top, but he still feels the need to protect you if he ever feels you’re in danger. Honestly, he’s scary enough on his own, so most other demons tend to leave you alone if you’re with him. And because you’re always around him, his scent started to rub off on you, alerting other demons to stay away even when he isn’t there. 

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He’s used to planning huge events, so he can go as all out as you want. You want a party with every demon in the Devildom? It’s done. You just want a lowkey date alone with him? He can do that to. It all depends on what you want him to do. 

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He has a hard time separating himself from his work. After all, he’s been working for Dia for so long, so it makes sense that it would be hard for him to leave it alone, even for a few hours. Sometimes, you may have to pull him away from his work and force him to rest. If that doesn’t work, you might have to talk to Dia about getting him some time off. 

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He is concerned with his looks, but only because of who he works for. He knows that he has to keep up appearances lest he embarrass Dia at all. Other than that, he could honestly care less about his looks. 

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Quite honestly, he was already incomplete before he even met you, and he’s still somewhat incomplete now. He’s never once felt whole, and that didn’t change very much when you arrived. Yes, he loves you, but you didn’t change much of how complete he feels inside. So, yeah, he’d feel incomplete without you, but he feels incomplete regardless. 

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

This isn’t so much a headcanon as just me being an angsty mess, but I just love the idea of him being lowkey jealous of Lucifer. I mean, ever since Luci fell and started working for Dia, he’s been getting so much credit for basically everything. I like the idea that maybe he gets a bit jealous of Luci and the attention and praise that he gets despite doing the same amount of work. (and yeah, I know this totally isn’t the case at all, and I’m sure he gets plenty of attention, but I love the idea of jealous, and kinda sad Barb). 

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

He doesn’t like someone who's lazy and doesn’t take work seriously. he also doesn’t like anyone who consistently distracts him from his work without legitimate reason. Also anyone who insults Dia or presents any possible threat to him. Other than that, he’s surprisingly chill with almost anyone. 

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

More like lack of sleep habit honestly. I genuinely don’t believe that he sleeps. And if he does, it’s for a couple hours at the most. Really, he just works too much to sleep that much.
