Prompt 13 - Arrangement

The sun soon dipped behind the trees and a cool breeze took its place. Remus saw Sirius shiver, and they left Remus’s tree, returning to the house where apparently the party was in full swing. Remus and Sirius slipped inside the house and went into the kitchen to get a drink each. 

Remus grabbed a can of coke and Sirius followed suit.

“You can have a drink if you want, Sirius, don’t feel like you can’t because of me,” Remus said over the loud music and louder guests. Sirius shook his head.

“I’m driving. I never drink and drive, it’s just not worth it,” Remus loved that Sirius had that mindset. He’d known too many people from his school get into accidents because they’d had one too many and got behind the wheel.

“REMUS!!!” A ball of auburn waves crashed into him.

“Hi, Marls,” he said, patting her on the top of her head fondly.

“Ooooo, and who is this handsome devil? We haven’t met, right?” Marlene looked between the two.

“Sirius,” Sirius said, thrusting out his hand for her to shake. “Remus’s boyfriend,” He added, as she took his hand with a slightly perplexed expression on her face, which changed to a jaw drop.

“Remus John Lupin, you have a boyfriend?! Since when?!” Marlene turned to look at him in faux outrage. 

“Er…”

“Since Tuesday,” Sirius answered, beaming from ear to ear.

“And when did you meet?” Marlene asked.

“Sunday evening,” Sirius replied again. “My parents were hosting a party and Remus was one of the servers. I cornered him in an alley on his way out, and he took me for the worst kebab I’ve ever had,” Marlene sported uncontrollably at Sirius’s description of their first sort of date.

“Oh gods Remus, you didn’t take him to the Blackpool illuminations, did you?” She finally managed to gasp out as she caught her breath.

“The Blackpool Illuminations?” Sirius asked, confused.

“It’s what Marls calls the kebab shop because of all the lights,” It was Sirius’s turn to snort and Remus didn’t think he’d ever heard a better sound. 

“So have they told you about their totally bonkers, adorable arrangement,” James boomed, suddenly appearing and flinging an arm over Remus's and Sirius’s shoulders. He’d clearly had a few drinks already and was pleasantly floppy.

“No,” Marlene leaned in, interested.

“Sirius invited himself to stay over and Remus just let him,”

“What?!”

“Yeah, and then he let him come back and sleep over every night. Marlene, Marlene,” James leaned in closer until his nose was touching the end of Marlene's, using Remus and Sirius to keep him from falling on her. “They cooked dinner for each other!”

“Oh, my ever-loving Gods!!!” Marlene squealed in excitement, nearly headbutting James as she jumped up and down.

“And Marlene, and you know what else? They haven’t even done anything yet,”

“Shut. Up.”

“No, I’m serious.”

“No, I’m Sirius,” Sirius butted in, stopping James’s story from going any further. Both James and Marlene burst into loud belly laughs at his terrible joke.

“Come on, let's escape while we can,” Remus murmured into Sirius’s ear, gently guiding him away from where James and Marlene were rolling around on the floor, while he snuck Sirius upstairs to the guest room that was basically his and had been since he was a teen.

Genuinely one of my favorite things about the maruaders fandom that is widely agreed upon:

Regulus is trans. Everyone assumes Remus is trans because werewolf behavior can look suspiciously similar to having a period. Shenanigans ensue:

*During 1st Year*

Sirius: *discreetly giving Remus chocolate during his time of the month*

Remus, in his head: HOW DOES HE KNOW? HOW DOES HE KNOW I'M A WEREWOLF? HOW DOES HE KNOW CHOCOLATE HELPS? WHY IS HE NOT SAYING ANYTHING? WHAT IS HAPPENING?

*Quidditch Locker Room*

Marlene: FUCK!

Sirius: What's wrong?

Marlene: I started my period and don't have anything on me!

James, who started carrying extras because he's a mom friend: Oh, here you go.

Marlene: *intensely stares at them* Okay if James carries the tampons and Remus is the one who uses them, why the FUCK is Sirius named Pads???

James: I. . .what?

Sirius: Abort Prongs. There's no right answer to this one.

*During a Study Session*

Regulus: Ugh, I'm so jealous of you sometimes Lupin.

Remus "Low Self-Esteem" Lupin: Why?

Reg: It's just that. . .well, if your mood is any indication, your time of the month is so CONSISTENT! Like, every 28 days like clockwork. You've never had 2 in one month or anything!

Remus, in his head: . . .is. . .is Regulus a werewolf too? Is this how Sirius was so accepting?

Remus out loud: You get it TWICE sometimes, how is that even possible?

Reg: I know right, it's so unfair!

Regulus: . . .

Peter: . . .

Regulus: So is there a REASON you've been stalking me or---

Peter: Are you a werewolf?

Reg: The fuck? No? Why---

Peter: KAY THANKS BYE!

Remus: oh my God Peter I didn't mean ASK HIM

Peter: Well how the fuck else was I supposed to find out?

"It's kind of...wonky. Like the line breaks off a bit," Remus mumbled, squinting his eyes to get a closer look at his own hand.

"A broken Love Line," Sirius read out of his Divination Book steadily, "means that you may have a huge, unrequited crush, or the love of your life may let you down in some devastating way."

All four boys stared at Remus in silence as he gazed at his palm, face reddening. Fuck, that was too accurate. No way was he about to admit to his obviously unrequited feelings for Sirius.

Clearing his throat a bit, James chuckled awkwardly. "Divination's a wooly subject anyways, Moons. I mean, my life line's really short, and I'm not going anywhere!"

But Remus couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding as he smiled weakly back at his friend.

james adores cute things. he's the type to see a cute plushie and immediately buy it because he likes it and he likes having something soft and nice to hold. so surely it's no surprise that he takes a likeness to your cuteness except what you should've realised beforehand was that he was most definitely a squeezer. and with his toned arms from all his athleticism, it was sure to knock the breath out of you every time you succumbed to one of his attacks. luckily, there is a pattern, his cuteness aggression strikes when you're in oversized (his) clothes and if your cheeks are full of a sweet treat. he just thinks it's so cute how soft you look and before he knows it, he's captured you, mid speech, in his arms and giving you an affectionate squeeze as he rubs his cheek against your own, cooing softly about how you're the sweetest and most adorable person to ever exist. he doesn't release you until the next morning when you need to go to the washroom, although very reluctantly because he enjoys being cuddled up in bed.

sirius has a different way of displaying his cuteness aggression and you're quite sure it has everything to do with his spirit animal. he gets random urges to nip at you when he thinks you're looking extra cute. his favourite places to leave a little bite are on your cheeks and thighs, your most supple areas that he adores. he just can't resist it, and it surely doesn't help your case that when he's in one of his episodes of gently nipping at you, you let out the most adorable and delightful giggles he's ever heard that just spurs him on to continue his ticklish attacks. he's obsessed with you and just loves leaving little marks to show how you grab a hold of his heart. (although he's absolutely on board if you reverse it on him and start biting him instead)

New AU idea:

Sirius and Regulus are the new kids in school (Muggle AU) and no one knows anything about their past but there are rumours that Sirius has full custody of Regulus and that they live alone - the rumours vary between "they live in a cardboard box" and "they have a whole batchelor pad mansion" type place.

Then, there's Remus who doesn't have any friends and doesn't really want them. He sort of talks to James because they were childhood friends but drifted apart in highschool, sometimes James will ask him to go to parties with him (because James wishes they were closer friends again) and Remus always agrees because he feels he owes it to James because he thinks the reason they drifted was his fault. So whenever he goes to these parties, he always reads a book in the corner and just doesn't interact with anyone ever.

Meanwhile, James always goes with Peter and he tries to talk to Remus but he has a feeling Remus doesn't really like him anymore and he's really insecure about it. He just assumes the reason they drifted apart was because he was too loud for Remus. So, he spends most of the parties they go to with Peter getting drunk.

But then. One day, the Black Brothers show up at a party and everyone is so interested to see if they can get anything out of them whilst they're drunk because they're so mysterious. However, what they don't know is that when Regulus and Sirius get drunk, they don't just spew their secrets to the whole world, they dance. So. They end up dancing on the table together (and look really sexy whilst doing it). And James walks into the room and his eyes land on Regulus and that's it. He has to find out more about this mysterious guy, he just has to know his favourite colour and his favourite songs, his hobbies and his least favourite food. Regulus meets his eye too and just thinks "bet", because he knows he's sexy and he knows he can pull that.

Then, there's Remus who is just trying to read his book in peace, but then there's this loud guy dancing on the table, stomping his army boots and belting Queen lyrics so loud he thinks his eardrums will burst. So, he slams his book shut, looks up, and he sees Sirius and realises Sirius is already watching him, Sirius was just trying to get his attention because whilst everyone else in the room was already looking at him, the quiet boy in the corner was too busy staring at a book. Remus doesn't like Sirius, he thinks he's hot, but he hates the way he saunters through the school halls as if he owns the place. He hates that Sirius can speak to James at school so easily even though they barely know each other and Remus has known James for years. But at the same time, Sirius has a room full of people to look at, and he's looking at Remus. People don't usually notice Remus, so he's intrigued.

Sirius, on the other hand, finds Remus just as mysterious as Remus finds Sirius. He wants to know all about this boy who comes to parties only to sit in the corner all night and not talk to anyone. He wants to know all about the boy who sits in front of him in history and dutifully scribbles down all the notes. He wants to know all about the boy who always seems to be angry at him, even though they've never spoken before.

Edit: Soooooo I'm writing it.. but don't expect it until at least next year 🙃
