We learned so much about Fairies in this latest chapter!!
That's so exciting! Everyone else is spewing negativity about the Nasiens situation and it's making me sick to my stomach! So I'm going to focus on all the cool
✨Fairy lore✨
and fight back with positivity instead!
So! Here's all the things we learned!
The sky in the Fairy Realm is green! - It's believed this is so because it's the leaves of the Sacred Tree! -The Sacred Tree must be stupid big O.O
Those really big mushrooms are called "God's Seats" and they grow on the Scared Tree's roots.
We also learned a little bit more about the lack of modesty in Fairy culture :p. -And that Tioreh's kinds of a creep, even though she actually knows better XD.
The top of Sacred Tree is filled with "strange plants" and only the Fairy King is allowed up there.
It's not uncommon for Fairies to be flightless.
It's not uncommon for Fairies to be sort of hermaphroditic. -Though I don't know if this type of hermaphroditism exists irl. My (admittedly not exhaustive)research only showed me two types and neither start off androgynous.
NAMES!! We learned all of the Fairy kids' names! So! We have; - Mertyl - Sixtus - Belte - Zana and Zilian - Phao - Tioreh Not the best names ever, but I'm still happy to know them ^-^
The air in the Fairy Realm is "really thick and sweet and actually bad for human" causing respiratory trouble. Further into the conversations Tioreh uses the word "toxins" so this environment probably explains why Fairies are naturally resistant to poison. -As a side note Mullein is a real plant and what Nasiens said about it is how it was used as a medicinal herb! It's leaves are fuzzy and it look like this

So I watched Cursed by Light for the first time yesterday (even though I started watching sds circa 2017, I'm just late to the game🤪) and I have so many thoughts !! Might do more analysis later, but here's my initial thoughts
I NEED more Meliodas and Zeldris interactions like it is a NECESSITY
Elizabeth was so badass in this movie I love her and it made me want to see "Bloody Ellie" even more omg
On the topic of Elizabeth, I love her bc she's such a girls' girl. Like, find her a woman, and they will be besties. I mean Merlin, Diane, Elaine, Gelda, even Derieri - she's just such a girl lover !!
And it's pride month so legally, everyone has to agree with bi!Elizabeth... jk... kinda lol (honestly every single sin is queer in my head, im prohecting my queer onto all nnt char)
Cursed by Light DEFINITELY best movie like hands down
BUT I actually kinda wish that the Supreme deity plotline was part of the show rather than a one off movie
Like I want it as a season. I feel like her character had so much potential not only for cool plots and battles, not only for the resurrection of the goddess race and the problems that would cause, but also for Elizabeth's emotional and physical/power arc
Anyway I will be thinking of at least a half season to combat the SD, complete with flashback to and before the Holy War and Elizabeth defeating her mother with those famed goddess powers that the demon race was so afraid of
And of course, within this season would be lots of brother bonding, and a large amount of time set in the demon realm where we get to explore the society and world, along more with the demon bros' past as individuals and together
Meliodas atones for both his betrayal of his brother, and that of his people who he probably should have been protecting
Plus maybe some gowther (bc I love him) and original demon lore bc that would be cool

Indura being part of the demon race is Canon, since Deriere and Monspeet canonically almost turn Indura, I think the despair part is the fanon part as they'd been doing it intentionally. As for whether they'd be sealed or mot, I imagine that mot every demon and underworld creature was sealed, it's entirely possible that a few escaped and managed to live limg lives in the demon realm and possibly escape into the human one. Case in point, the Red that killed Elaine.
So imagine how freaked Meliodas would be if an entrance to the Demon Realm was discovered right near Liones and a fucking Indura walked out.
Meliodas, for all his strength, probably isn't strong enough to solo an Indura at that point, for all we like to think he's op. And he sure as hell isn't gonna let the Sins or even Zaratrus go toe to toe with the single most dangerous creature in the Underworld next to the Dmeon King himself
I thought a demon-turned-Indura was different from a non-demon Indura. Think of it like birds or fish or marine animals. Some animals may look similar and have similar traits but not be related at all, if you get what I mean.
(I did a lot of lore analysis here, if you don’t care enough to read through all of that or don’t have the time rn, skip to the last two paragraphs where I get back to your ask)
And the Indura we've seen were also pretty different from what Derieri and Monspeet turned into. There's also the difference that the canon Indura produces babies, so it's not farfetched to assume that's how Indura are born. Derieri and Monspeet on the other hand turned Indura by sacrificing six of their seven hearts to the darkness inside them and forming a contract, which also leads be to believe that the darkness is more of a symbiote than their actual magic, unless magic itself is a symbiote for ALL races, but the demons magic took on a very unique form, likely due to the influence of the demon realms environment or the DK himself, which might also be the case for the other races, and then different strands of magic evolved alongside the different races.
What if a native Indura was a demon-turned-indura that had been turned for so long they became unrecognizable as demons? But when a demon turns (successfully) Indura, they use their life force and fight until they literally drop dead. So that's unlikely, too. There's still the possibility that a natove Indura is born of a demon who tried to do the contract to turn Indura but failed due to lack of strength. We know that even among the commandments, only a few of them can turn Indura in the first place, if I remember that right. Though this also depends on whether or not if the ritual for turning indura is a secret only told to someone once they're strong enough or if it's common knowledge among demons.
Back to the first theory that native Indura and demon Indura are two separate things. What would also support this is that the native Indira we see is shown to make offspring as a biological process. So that's how more Indura come to be. Ban kills all but one and that one makes it to Liones, but is defeated there by I think Escanor and the Trio? They struggled against it though. I’m mentioning this because when an animal produces loads of offspring, the general survival strategy is “they can’t get all of us” with the assumption that most of them will be eaten or otherwise killed before they can produce new offspring (fish do that for example, I think specifically salmon? Correct me if I’m wrong though). So this means that while some particularly strong holy knights of Liones struggled against one Indura baby (I think the Trio all had a power level of around 1000 or more, so pretty strong, but weaker than a Sin), then who or whatever took care of Indura babies in the underworld 3000 years ago, was probably significantly stronger on a general scale. So either the average demon was way stronger than the average holy knight, or the demons had dedicated people to take on a protector role similar to human knights or there were specialized Indura hunters. Other possibilities are that most Indura were killed off by the environment or other non-demon animals of the underworld that we haven’t seen.
Out of all those theories, the demon hunter one has support in the cursed by light movie when we see the demons wrangle an Indura and it’s strongly implied that they keep it how humans keep farm animals (the demons tried to poison Dalia, the poison was said to be some sort of ‘Indura excrement’ if I remember correctly) or like how Elephants were used in war once. I tend to not take the movies as absolute canon though, this mainly due to the fact that in the first movie, Mel makes more than four clones with Lostvayne even though canonically, Lostvayne can only make four clones, not more. It’s a small thing, I know, but it’s important to me.
All of this being said, I do not know if I was going anywhere specific with this, but enjoy the lore analysis^^
And now back to your ask but now with all of this new information in mind: if the attacking Indura was a native one, there must either be an absolutely gigantic hole leading to the underworld or it must be a demon Indura, because if it was a young native Indura, there’s not really any reason why it couldn’t be defeated. If it was a fully grown one, well, the Sins defeated a (presumably) fully grown Indura in the prisoners of the sky, but that one was immobilized by Solaad. I don’t remember if at that point in the movie, Meliodas got his powers back already or not tbh.
But either way, solo-ing an Indura is probably pretty hard, even for a fully powered Meliodas. Though what if Mel was just not at his full power? Like, if the Indura appeared, someone close to Mel tried to fight it, and Mel got hurt when saving them from the Indura? Then again though, I mean Mel could kinda ‘cheat’ using Lostvayne and his Full Counter until the attack is beefed up enough to kill the Indura. Unless he was unable to use either one for some reason... If or when the Indura is either defeated or dealt with somehow, there’s also the revelation that here is now a known entrance to the underworld very close to Liones. And humans are humans, you KNOW they’re gonna wanna explore, so cue Meliodas trying to keep either the Liones holy knights away from the entrance or some kids or teenagers who are gonna wanna jump into that new huge hole.

Finally some nnt lore!
So. I absolutely loved the whole chapter 337, but something that made me very happy is finally getting information about how the Clans work, and oh boy, we got so much!
First of all. Chaos.
Chaos is still a mysterious entity and I would love to know more about it. I think that it is the most god like figure in nnt universe and yet I find fascinating how it is not a flawless being. Chaos created a Clan - the Giants - it wasn't satisfied with, so it's not infallible. Even when it created humans, it didn't consider them perfect because they were flawless but because they resembled Chaos itself the most. And finally, Chaos was defeated and sealed but his own creations - the Supreme Deity and the Demon King. Chaos is all but a perfect god and this makes it even more fascinating for me!
And now Arthur is the king of chaos. Does that means that Chaos has been freed from its seal and no lives in Arthur? Is Arthur it vessel or something more? That's something I am looking forward to finding out!
I'm also so happy to finally know more about the origin of the Supreme Deity, the Demon King and even the Sacred Tree!
I love the fact that it's confirmed that the three of them are gods, and even powerful ones since they managed to create entire races and realms and even to seal their creator. It's also fascinating how Chaos chose to create two more human looking beings (who are somehow the most greedy and the ones who actually started a war between them) and then a tree. Of course the Sacred Tree is more than a simple tree, but it's fascinating how it is so different from the other ones - and that also explained why the Fairies are different as well (they seem to care less about the material values and power and were never interested in fighting with anyone if not to defend themselves). The Tree is also the only god that apparently didn't care about seal Chaos, even though it would have had a the reasons to fear it exactly like the other two.
We also have the confirmation that the Demon King and the Supreme Deity worked together even at least once before fighting Meliodas and Elizabeth. It's interesting that they chose to collaborate and never directly attacked each other ... I honestly think it's because they are equally powerful and none of them would win if they fought. So they have to use their own creations to fight at their place (and this could be one of the reasons why they spent want Meliodas and Elizabeth to stop the war).
And it's also finally explained why Giants and Humans don't have a god like figure like the other Clans, since they were created directly by Chaos (and that is interesting considering how both the Clans are less unified and they tend to have more internal fights). I don't like much how the Giants were treated but I liked a lot the fact that Humans are described as powerful and perfect because they are more chaotic
Another very interesting figure is the Lady of the Lake
I can't help but wondering what is exactly her role, why she was created. It's said that she "gave the holy sword to king Carfen", but why did she do that? Did Chaos tell her to do so? It's interesting how this is the way Arthur got that sword anyway...
There are so many questions still left but for now I'm so thrilled with everything we got!
