I've been banging my head against an irving/sol/hickey love triangle playlist(??? girl I know) It's done!!! and decided to make a more upbeat playlist w/ one song per character as a sort of palette cleanser.

Really enjoying Sivulliq: Ancestor by Lily H. Tuzroyluke! I first got acquainted with Nielsen’s acting work in The Terror as Silna / Lady Silence. Then I learned about her music while talking with @rancidlovers about contemporary styles of folk and different singer-songwriters within that broad landscape.

Delightfully playful melodies and lyrics with innovative rhythms and cadences!

bro i LOVE indigenous fusion music i love it when indigenous people take traditional practices and language and apply them in new cool ways i love the slow decay and decolonisation of the modern music industry
