🍀. నేటి సూక్తి : పురుష ప్రకృతులు సత్యవస్తువు యొక్క వేర్వేరు శక్తులు. అనగా, నైష్కర్మ స్థితియే పురుషుడనీ, కర్మ ప్రవృత్తియే ప్రకృతియనీ, నైష్కర్మ్య స్థితి యందు ప్రకృతి లేదనీ, కర్మప్రవృత్తి యందు పురుషుడు లేడనీ భావింపరాదు. సంపూర్ణమైన కర్మప్రవృత్తిలో కూడ పురుషుడు మరుగున దాగియే యున్నాడు. అట్లే సంపూర్ణమైన నైష్కర్మ్యస్థితిలో కూడ ప్రకృతి విశ్రాంత రూపిణిగ నిలిచియే యున్నది. 🍀

🌹. భీష్మ - జయ ఏకాదశి, విష్టు సహస్రనామ జయంతి 🌹 కురువృద్ధుడు, అత్యంత శక్తివంతుడు, తెలివైనవాడు అయిన భీష్మాచార్యుడు మహాభారత యుద్ధంలో నేలకొరిగినప్పటికీ దక్షిణాయనంలో మరణించడం ఇష్టంలేక ఉత్తరాయణంకోసం వేచి ఉన్నాడు. తన నిర్యాణానికి సమయం నిర్ణయించుకున్నాడు. 58 రోజులు అంపశయ్యపై పవళించి మాఘ శుద్ధ అష్టమినాడు పరమపదించాడు. మాఘ శుద్ధ అష్టమి నాడు భీష్మాచార్యుని ఆత్మ శ్రీకృష్ణునిలో లీనమైంది. భీష్ముడు మోక్షం పొందిన తర్వాత వచ్చిన మాఘ శుద్ధ ఏకాదశిని ''భీష్మ ఏకాదశి'', ''మహాఫల ఏకాదశి'', ''జయ ఏకాదశి'' అని అంటారు. ధర్మరాజు అడిగిన ప్రశ్నలకు భీష్ముడు ఇచ్చిన సమాధానమే విష్ణు సహస్రనామ స్తోత్రము.

కురువృద్ధుడు, అత్యంత శక్తివంతుడు, తెలివైనవాడు అయిన భీష్మాచార్యుడు మహాభారత యుద్ధంలో నేలకొరిగినప్పటికీ దక్షిణాయనంలో మరణించడం ఇష్టంలేక ఉత్తరాయణంకోసం వేచి ఉన్నాడు. తన నిర్యాణానికి సమయం నిర్ణయించుకున్నాడు. 58 రోజులు అంపశయ్యపై పవళించి మాఘ శుద్ధ అష్టమినాడు పరమపదించాడు. మాఘ శుద్ధ అష్టమి నాడు భీష్మాచార్యుని ఆత్మ శ్రీకృష్ణునిలో లీనమైంది. భీష్ముడు మోక్షం పొందిన తర్వాత వచ్చిన మాఘ శుద్ధ ఏకాదశిని ''భీష్మ ఏకాదశి'', ''మహాఫల ఏకాదశి'', ''జయ ఏకాదశి'' అని అంటారు.

ఉత్తరాయణ పుణ్య తిథికోసం వేచిచూస్తోన్న భీష్ముని చూసేందుకు శ్రీకృష్ణుడు వచ్చాడు. అందుకు అమితానందం పొందిన భీష్ముడు శ్రీమన్నారాయణుని వేయి నామాలతో కీర్తించాడు. అదే ఇంటింటా భక్తిప్రపత్తులతో పారాయణం చేసే విష్ణు సహస్రనామం. అనంతరకాలంలో రాజ్యపాలన చేయవలసి ఉన్న ధర్మరాజును ఉద్దేశించి రాజనీతి అంశాలను బోధించాడు. ధర్మరాజు అడిగిన ప్రశ్నలకు భీష్ముడు ఇచ్చిన సమాధానమే విష్ణు సహస్రనామానికి ఉపోద్ఘాతం.

విష్ణు సహస్రనామం ఎప్పుడు పఠించినా పుణ్యం కలుగుతుంది. ముఖ్యంగా భీష్మ ఏకాదశినాడు గనుక విష్ణు సహస్రనామం పారాయణం చేస్తే ఆ ఫలితం అనంతంగా ఉంటుంది. అనుకున్న పనులు నిర్విఘ్నంగా నెరవేరుతాయి. భోగభాగ్యాలు కలుగుతాయి. సర్వ పాపాలూ హరిస్తాయి. పుణ్యగతులు లభిస్తాయి.

''శ్రీమన్నారాయణుని పాదకమలాలకు నమస్కారం. దేవదేవుని నిరంతరం పూజిస్తూ, ఆ పవిత్ర నామాన్ని జపిస్తూ, నిర్మలమైన మనసుతో, అవ్యయమైన ఆయన తత్వాన్ని స్మరిస్తున్నాను'' - అనేది ఈ శ్లోకానికి అర్ధం.

ఒక సందర్భంలో మహాశివుడు ''విష్ణు సహస్రనామం ఎలాంటి కష్టాల నుండి అయినా కాపాడుతుందని, సర్వవిధాలుగా రక్షిస్తుందని'' పార్వతీదేవికి చెప్పి, ''ఒకవేళ విష్ణు సహస్రనామం గనుక పారాయణం చేయలేకపొతే కనీసం

''శ్రీ రామ రామ రామేతి రమే రామే మనోరమే సహస్రనామ తత్తుల్యం రామ నామ వరాననే''

- అనే శ్లోకాన్ని మూడుసార్లు ఉచ్చరించినట్లయితే అంతే ఫలితం కలుగుతుంది'' అంటూ వివరించాడు.

ఈ భీష్మ ఏకాదశి పర్వదినాన్ని పురస్కరించుకుని విష్ణు సహస్రనామం పారాయణం చేయండి. అవకాశం లేకపోతే ''శ్రీరామ రామ…'' శ్లోకాన్ని మూడుసార్లు భక్తిగా జపించండి. 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹 🌹

11. నివృత్తబుద్ధ్యవస్థానో దూరీభూతాన్యదర్శనః| ఉపలభ్యాత్మనాఽఽత్మానం చక్షుషేవార్కమాత్మదృక్॥

తాత్పర్యము : ఆత్మ దేహాది ఉపాధులకంటే వేరైనది. ఐనను అహంకారాది మిథ్యావస్తువుల యొక్క సాంగత్య కారణముగా ఈ దేహాదులు సత్యముగనే భాసించును. ఆ పరమాత్మ జగత్కారణ భూతమైన ప్రకృతికి అధిష్ఠాత - మహదాది కార్యవర్గముసు ప్రకాశింప జేయువాడు. కార్యకారణ రూపమగు సకల పదార్థముల యందును ఆ పరమాత్మయే వ్యాపించియున్నాడు.

వ్యాఖ్య : లింగమంటే దేహం. మనమే పేరు పెట్టినా, ఆ పేరు శరీరానికే గానీ ఆత్మకు కాదు. ఎపుడైతే పరమాత్మ స్వరూప జ్ఞ్యానం అవగతమవుతుందో, అపుడు దేహాసక్తి పోతుంది. అప్పుడు ముక్తలింగుడవుతాడు. ఆత్మ ఉంది అని చెప్పడానికి గుర్తుగా చెప్పబడుతున్న శరీరం మీద అనుబంధం వదిలి పెట్టబడుతుంది. దేవ తిర్యక్ మనుష్యాది బుద్ధిని విడిచిపెడతాడు. ఇది ముక్త లింగః - జీవుడు. ఇది పరమాత్మ జ్ఞ్యానం కలిగిన ఆత్మ జ్ఞ్యాని ప్రవర్తించే విధానం. దేహం యందు అభిమతి పోతుంది.

అలా అయిన తరువాత, ఎప్పుడు సత్ గానే ప్రకాశించే, ఉత్పత్తీ వినాశం లేని, సంకోచ వికాసమూ లేనీ, జీవాత్మకు బంధువైన, దేహాన్ని చూపేవాడైన, ప్రతీ వానిలోనూ (జీవుడిలోనూ, శరీరములోనూ) అంతర్యామిగా ఉండేవాడు, అద్వయం (రెండవ వాడైన వాడు లేని వాడు) ఐన వాడు అయిన పరమాత్మను దేహమునందు చూడగలడు. పరమాత్మ అనుగ్రహంతో ఆత్మస్వరూపం తెలుసుకున్న వాడు, తెలుసుకున్న ఆత్మ స్వరూపముతో, లేనట్లుగా, అంతవరకూ ఉన్నట్లు అనిపించిన, అంతలోనే ఇది లేకుండా ఉండేదనుకునే శరీరములోనే, ఈ దేహములోనే పరమాత్మను చూస్తాడు. ప్రకృతి కంటే విడిగా ఉన్న ఆత్మను చూస్తాడు, ఆత్మకన్నా వేరుగా ఉన్న పరమాత్మను కూడా చూస్తాడు. దేహముగా అంతర్యామిగా ఉన్న ఆత్మలో, అంతర్యామిగా ఉన్న పరమాత్మ చేతనే, 1. ఆత్మ జ్ఞ్యానమూ 2. పరమాత్మ జ్ఞ్యానమూ 3. దేహజ్ఞ్యానమూ కలుగుతాయి. ఇంద్రియములచే చూడదగని ఆత్మను శరీరముతో ఎలా చూడగలడు. ఆత్మ పరమాత్మ స్వరూపాన్ని మొదట ఎలా తెలుసుకోవాలి?

11. mukta-liṅgaṁ sad-ābhāsam asati pratipadyate sato bandhum asac-cakṣuḥ sarvānusyūtam advayam

Meaning : A liberated soul realizes the Absolute Personality of Godhead, who is transcendental and who is manifest as a reflection even in the false ego. He is the support of the material cause and He enters into everything. He is absolute, one without a second, and He is the eyes of the illusory energy.

PURPORT : A pure devotee can see the presence of the Supreme Personality of Godhead in everything materially manifested. He is present there only as a reflection, but a pure devotee can realize that in the darkness of material illusion the only light is the Supreme Lord, who is its support. It is confirmed in Bhagavad-gītā that the background of the material manifestation is Lord Kṛṣṇa. And, as confirmed in the Brahma-saṁhitā, Kṛṣṇa is the cause of all causes. In the Brahma-saṁhitā it is stated that the Supreme Lord, by His partial or plenary expansion, is present not only within this universe and each and every universe, but in every atom, although He is one without a second. The word advayam, "without a second," which is used in this verse, indicates that although the Supreme Personality of Godhead is represented in everything, including the atoms, He is not divided. His presence in everything is explained in the next verse.

దీప్తా జ్ఞానమయీ మూర్తి రస్యేతి స్వేచ్ఛయా హరేః । గృహీతా తైజసీ మూర్తిర్దీప్తాఽస్యేత్యథవా హరిః । దీప్తమూర్తితి ప్రోక్తో వేదవిద్యావిశారదైః ॥

ప్రకాశించుచుండు జ్ఞానమయియగు మూర్తి ఎవనికి కలదో అట్టివాడు. లేదా ఎవరి ఆజ్ఞతోను పనిలేక తన ఇచ్ఛతో గ్రహించబడిన తైజస మూర్తి అనగా హిరణ్యగర్భ మూర్తి - దీప్తమగు, ప్రకాశించునది ఈతనికి కలదు. (సకల తైజసమూర్తుల సమష్టియే హిరణ్యగర్భమూర్తి.)

दीप्ता ज्ञानमयी मूर्ति रस्येति स्वेच्छया हरेः । गृहीता तैजसी मूर्तिर्दीप्ताऽस्येत्यथवा हरिः । दीप्तमूर्तिति प्रोक्तो वेदविद्याविशारदैः ॥

Dīptā jñānamayī mūrti rasyeti svecchayā hareḥ, Gr‌hītā taijasī mūrtirdīptā’syetyathavā hariḥ, Dīptamūrtiti prokto vedavidyāviśāradaiḥ.

Resplendent is the nature of His superior knowledge. Or since He assumed by His own free will - His bright and flowing form, He is Dīptamūrtiḥ.

🌴. రుద్రసంహితా-కుమార ఖండః - అధ్యాయము - 20 🌴 🌻. గణేశుని వివాహము - 4 🌻

పార్వతీ పరమేశ్వరులు వచ్చి నారని తెలిసిన ఆ కుమారస్వామి విరక్తుడై మరియొక చోటకు పోవుటకు సంసిద్ధుడాయెను. దేవతలు, మునులు ప్రార్థించగా ఆతడు కూడా మూడు యో��నముల దూరమును విడచి అచటనే ఉండెను. ఇట్లు అదే స్థానములో కార్తికుడు కూడ ఉన్నాడు (34,35).

పార్వతీ పరమేశ్వరులు పుత్ర స్నేహముచే ఆర్ద్రమైన హృదయము గల వారై ప్రతి పర్వమునందు కుమారస్వామిని చూచుటకు అచటికి వెళ్లు చుందురు. ఓ నారదా! (36) అమావాస్య నాడు శంభుడు, పూర్ణిమనాడు పార్వతి తప్పని సరిగా అచటకు స్వయముగా వెళ్లుచుందురు (37). ఓ మహర్షీ! నీవు ప్రశ్నించిన విధముగా నేను కార్తీక గణశుల పరమ పవిత్ర గాథను వివరించితిని (38). ఈ గాథను వినిన బుద్ధిమంతుడగు మానవుడు పాపములన్నిటి నుండియూ విముక్తుడై తాను కోరుకునే శుభకామనలనన్నింటినీ పొందగలడు(39).

ఎవరైతే ఈ గాథను పఠించెదరో, పఠింపజేసెదరో, వినెదరో, వినిపించెదరో వారు కోర్కెలనన్నిటినీ పొందెదరనుటలో సందేహము లేదు (40). బ్రహ్మణుడు బ్రహ్మతేజస్సును. క్షత్రియుడు విజయమును, వైశ్యుడు ధనసమృద్ధిని పొందెదరు. శ్రూద్రుడు సత్పురుషులతో సమానుడగును (41). రోగి ఆరోగ్యవంతుడగును. భయపడినవాడు భయవిముక్తుడగును. అట్టి మానవుడు భూతప్రేతాది బాధలచే పీడింపబడడు (42). ఈ గాథ పుణ్యమును, కీర్తిని, సుఖమును, ఆయుర్దాయమును వర్ధిల్ల జేయును. సాటిలేని ఈ గాథ పుత్ర పౌత్రాదులనిచ్చి స్వర్గప్రాప్తిని కలిగించును (43). ఓం నమశ్శివాయ

ఈ గాథ ముక్తిని ఇచ్చును. శ్రేష్ఠ మగు శివ జ్ఞానము నిచ్చును. పార్వతీ పరమేశ్వరులకు ప్రీతికరమగు ఈ గాథ శివభక్తిని వర్థిల్ల జేయును (44). భక్తులు, మరియు కామనలు లేని ముముక్షువులు ఈ గాథను సర్వదా వినవలెను. సదాశివ స్వరూపము, మంగళకరమునగు ఈ గాథ శివాద్వైతము నిచ్చును (45).

శ్రీ శివమహాపురాణములో రుద్రసంహితయందు కుమారఖండలో గణేశ వివాహము అనే ఇరువదియవ అధ్యాయము ముగిసినది (20).

🌴 Rudra-saṃhitā (4): Kumara-khaṇḍa - CHAPTER 20 🌴

🌻 The celebration of Gaṇeśa’s marriage - 4 🌻

On coming to know that Śiva had come there with Pārvatī, Kumāra became unattached and was eager to go elsewhere.

On being requested by the gods and sages he stayed in a place three Yojanas away.

O Nārada, on the full and new moon days, Pārvatī and Śiva are excited by love towards their son and they go there to see him.

On new moon days, Śiva himself goes there. On full moon days, Pārvatī goes there certainly.

O great sage, whatever you had asked in regard to Kārttikeya and Gaṇeśa has been narrated by me.

On hearing this, an intelligent man becomes free from all sins. He achieves all desired fruits of auspicious nature.

Whoever reads, teaches, listens or narrates this story derives all desires. No doubt need be entertained in this respect.

A brahmin derives brahminical splendour, a Kṣatriya becomes victorious, a Vaiśya prosperous and a Śūdra attains equality with the good.

A sick man becomes free from sickness; a frightened man becomes free from fear; no man is harassed by the visitation of goblins, ghosts etc.

This narrative is sinless, conducive to glory and enhancer of happiness. It is conducive to longevity and attainment of heaven. It is unequalled and bestows sons and grandsons.

It confers salvation and reveals Śiva’s principles. It is pleasing to Pārvatī and Śiva and increases devotion to Śiva.

This shall always be heard by devotees and by those who seek liberation and are free from worldly desires. It confers identity with Śiva. It is conducive to welfare and is identical with Śiva himself.

గుర్జియేఫ్, 'మీరు మీ తల్లిదండ్రులతో సత్సంబంధాలు కలిగి ఉండక పోతే, మీరు మీ జీవితాన్ని కోల్పోయారు' అని చెప్పేవారు. మీకు మరియు మీ తల్లిదండ్రుల మధ్య కొంత కోపం కొనసాగితే, మీరు ఎప్పటికీ సుఖంగా ఉండరు. మీరు ఎక్కడ ఉన్నా, మీరు కొంచెం దోషిగా అనుభూతి చెందుతారు. మిమ్మల్ని మీరు ఎప్పటికీ క్ష��ించు కోలేరు. తల్లిదండ్రులు క��వలం సామాజిక సంబంధం మాత్రమే కాదు. వారి నుండి మీరు వచ్చారు. మీరు వారిలో భాగం, వారి చెట్టు యొక్క కొమ్మ. మీరు ఇప్పటికీ వాటిలో పాతుకుపోయారు. తల్లిదండ్రులు చనిపోయినప్పుడు, మీలో చాలా లోతుగా పాతుకుపోయినది ఏదో చనిపోతుంది.

🕉. It is always good to come to an understanding with your parents. 🕉

Gurdjieff used to say, "Unless you are in good communion with your parents, you have missed your life." If some anger persists between you and your parents, you will never feel at ease. Wherever you are, you will feel a little guilty. You will never be able to forgive and forget…Parents are not just a social relationship. It is out of them that you have come. You are part of them, a branch of their tree. You are still rooted in them. When parents die, something very deep-rooted dies within you.

When parents die, for the first time you feel alone, uprooted. So while they are alive, do everything that you can so that an understanding can arise and you can communicate with them and they can communicate with you. Then things settle and the accounts are closed. Then when they leave the world-and they will leave someday-you will not feel guilty, you will not repent; you will know that things have settled. They have been happy with you; you have been happy with them.

ముదుసలితనము లేనిది శ్రీమాత అని అర్థము. త్రికాలములకు లోనగు వారికి బాల్యము, యౌవనము, వార్ధక్యము వుండును. కాలము ప్రభావము చూపని వారికి వారు నిత్యమొకే మాదిరిగ నుందురు. కాలము దైవముపై మాత్రమే ప్రభావము చూపలేదు. సృష్టింపబడు సర్వజీవరాసులు కాలబద్ధులే. సృష్టికర్తయగు బ్రహ్మకు కూడ వార్ధక్య మున్నది. ప్రస్తుతము మన సృష్టికి కర్తయైన 'పద్మభూః' అను బ్రహ్మదేవుడు ద్వితీయ పరార్దమున ప్రవేశించెనని నిత్యము సంకల్పమున చెప్పుకొను చున్నాము కదా!

బ్రహ్మ, విష్ణు, మహేశ్వరులు కూడ కాలమునకు లోబడు వారే. వారికినీ వార్ధక్యముండును. కాలము వారిని కూడ హరించును. కాలమున కతీతమగు ఈశ్వర తత్త్వము మాత్ర మెప్పుడునూ నిత్యనూతనముగ నుండును. దానినే నిత్యయౌవన మందురు. అట్టి నిత్య యౌవన తత్త్వము రూపు గట్టుగొని దిగివచ్చినచో ఎట్లుండును? అదియే లలితమగు శ్రీకృష్ణ రూపము. అది అపురూపము.

🌻 428. 'Nitya-yaovana' 🌻

It means that Shree Mata is ageless. Those who are under the influence of time have childhood, youth and old age. Those who are not influenced by time are forever in youth. Time does not affect God alone. All created beings are temporal. Old age is also before Brahma who is the creator. At present, we are always saying in our daily aphorisms that 'Padmabhu' , the present Lord Brahma, has entered the second phase!

Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar are all subject to time. They also have an old age. Time will drain them too. Only the philosophy of God, which has evolved over time, is eternally new. That is eternal youth. What will it be like when such an eternal philosophy takes shape and descends into earth? That is the beautiful form of Lord Krishna. That is incredible.

Atma Bodha - Written by Shankaracharya

1. I am composing the ATMA-BODHA, this treatise of the Knowledge of the Atman (Self), for those who have purified themselves by austerities and are peaceful in heart and calm, who are free from cravings and are desirous of liberation.

2. Just as the fire is the direct cause for cooking, so Knowledge, and not any other form of discipline, is the direct cause of Liberation; for Liberation cannot be attained without Knowledge.

3. Action cannot destroy ignorance, for it is not in conflict with or opposed to ignorance. Knowledge destroys ignorance as light destroys deep darkness.

4. Atman [Self, Soul] appears to be finite because of ignorance. When ignorance is destroyed Atman [the Self] which does not admit of any multiplicity truly reveals itself by itself: like the Sun when the clouds pass away.

5. Through constant practice [of Meditation], knowledge purifies the Jivatman [embodied Consciousness] stained by ignorance, and then disappears itself – as the powder of the 'Kataka-nut' settles down after it has cleansed the muddy water.

6. Cyclic existence [samsara], which is full of attachments, aversions, etc., is like a dream. It appears to be real as long as one is ignorant, but becomes unreal when one is awake.

7. Manifested existence [jagat] appears to be real (Satyam) so long as Brahman, the substratum, the basis of all this creation, is not known [consciously]. It is like the illusion of silver in the mother-of pearl.

8. Like bubbles in the water, the worlds rise, exist and dissolve in the Supreme Self, which is the material cause and the prop of everything.

9. All the manifested world of things and beings are projected by imagination upon the substratum which is the Eternal All-pervading Vishnu, whose nature is Existence-Intelligence; just as the different ornaments are all made out of the same gold.

10. The All-pervading Akasa appears to be diverse on account of its association with various conditionings (Upadhis) which are different from each other. Space becomes one on the destruction of these limiting adjuncts: So also the Omnipresent Truth appears to be diverse on account of Its association with the various Upadhis and becomes one on the destruction of these Upadhis.

11. Because of Its association with different conditionings (Upadhis) such ideas as caste, colour and position are super-imposed upon the Atman, as flavour, colour, etc., are super-imposed on water.

12. Determined for each individual by his own past actions and made up of the five elements – that have gone through the process of "five-fold self-division and mutual combination" (Pancheekarana) – are born the physical body, the medium through which pleasure and pain are experienced, the tent-of-experiences.

13. The five Pranas, the ten organs and the Manas and the Buddhi, formed from the rudimentary elements (Tanmatras) before their "five-fold division and mutual combination with one another" (Pancheekarana) and this is the subtle body, the instruments-of-experience (of the individual).

The term "subtle body" encloses three bodies: the vital body ( Hebrew : Yesod), the Astral body ( Hebrew : Hod), and the Mental body ( Hebrew : Netzach).

Five pranas: prana is life force. Here the prana of the vital body is seen as having five aspects: (1) prana as breath, (2) apana, descending vital energy, which expels waste, (3) vyana, pervasive energy throughout the vital body, (4) udana, ascending vital energy, and (5) samana, the energy that transforms matter and makes it useful.

Ten organs: five senses of perception and five means of action (hands, feet, and the organs of speech, evacuation and procreation).

Manas: the Essence ( Hebrew : Tiphereth) flows through the subtle bodies and the brain.

Buddhi: the Divine Consciousness ( Hebrew : Geburah) also flows through the subtle bodies.

14. Avidya [ignorance], indescribable and beginningless, is the cause, which is an upadhi superimposed on Atman. Know for certain that the Atman is other than these three conditioning bodies (the upadhis or physical body, subtle body, Causal body).

15. In its identification with the five-sheaths the Immaculate Atman appears to have borrowed their qualities upon Itself; as in the case of a crystal which appears to gather unto itself colour of its vicinity (blue cloth, etc.,).

Five sheaths: Now the "three bodies" are referred to as "five": (1) annamaya, the physical body, (2) pranamaya ("life force"), the vital body, (3) manomaya ("discriminative power"), the Astral body, (4) vijnanamaya ("information"), the Mental body, and (5) anandamaya ("bliss"), the Causal body.

16. Through discriminative self-analysis and logical thinking one should separate the Pure self within from the sheaths as one separates the rice from the husk, bran, etc., that are covering it.

17. The Atman does not shine in everything although He is All-pervading. He is manifest only in the inner equipment, Buddhi (Geburah): just as the reflection in a clean mirror.

18. One should understand that the Atman is always like the King, distinct from the body, senses, mind and intellect, all of which constitute the matter (Prakriti); and is the witness of their functions.

19. The moon appears to be running when the clouds move in the sky. Likewise to the non-discriminating person the Atman appears to be active when It is observed through the functions of the sense-organs.

20. Depending upon the energy of vitality of Consciousness (Atma Chaitanya) the body, senses, mind and intellect engage themselves in their respective activities, just as men work depending upon the light of the Sun.

21. Fools, because they lack in their powers of discrimination superimpose on the Atman, the Absolute-Existence-Knowledge (Sat-Chit), all the varied functions of the body and the senses, just as they attribute blue colour and the like to the sky.

22. The tremblings that belong to the waters are attributed through ignorance to the reflected moon dancing on it: likewise agency of action, of enjoyment and of other limitations (which really belong to the mind) are delusively understood as the nature of the Self (Atman).

23. Attachment, desire, pleasure, pain, etc., are perceived to exist so long as Buddhi or mind functions. They are not perceived in deep sleep when the mind ceases to exist. Therefore they belong to the mind alone and not to the Atman.

24. Just as luminosity is the nature of the Sun, coolness of water and heat of fire, so too the nature of the Atman is Eternity, Purity, Reality, Consciousness and Bliss.

25. By the indiscriminate blending of the two – the Existence-Knowledge-aspect of the Self and the thought-wave of the intellect – there arises the notion of "I know".

26. Atman is never subject to change, and Buddhi on its own has no capacity to experience 'I know'. But the individuality in us delusorily thinks he is himself the seer and the knower.

27. Just as the person who regards a rope as a snake is overcome by fear, so also one considering oneself as the ego (Jiva) is overcome by fear. The ego-centric individuality in us regains fearlessness by realising that It is not a Jiva but is Itself the Supreme Soul.

28. Just as a lamp illumines a jar or a pot, so also the Atman illumines the mind and the sense organs, etc. These material-objects cannot illuminate their own Self.

29. A lighted-lamp does not need another lamp to illumine its light. So too, Atman which is Knowledge itself needs no other knowledge to know it.

30. By a process of negation of the conditionings (Upadhis) through the help of the scriptural statement 'It is not this, It is not this', the oneness of the individual soul and the Supreme Soul, as indicated by the great Mahavakyas, has to be known.

31. The body and so on, created by avidya [ignorance] and having the nature of objects, are perishable like bubbles. Realize through discrimination that you are the stainless Brahman, ever completely separate from all these.

32. I am other than the body and so I am free from changes such as birth, wrinkling, senility, death, etc. I have nothing to do with the sense objects such as sound and taste, for I am without the sense-organs.

33. I am other than the mind and hence, I am free from sorrow, attachment, malice and fear, for "HE is without breath and without mind, Pure, etc.", is the Commandment of the great scripture, the Upanishads.

34. I am without attributes and actions; Eternal (Nitya) without any desire and thought (Nirvikalpa), without any dirt (Niranjana), without any change (Nirvikara), without form (Nirakara), ever-liberated (Nitya Mukta) ever-pure (Nirmala).

35. Like the space I fill all things within and without. Changeless and the same in all, at all times I am pure, unattached, stainless and motionless.

36. I am verily that Supreme Brahman alone which is Eternal, Pure and Free, One, indivisible and non-dual and of the nature of Changeless-Knowledge-Infinite.

37. The impression "I am Brahman" thus created by constant practice destroys ignorance and the agitation caused by it, just as medicine or Rasayana destroys disease.

38. Sitting in a solitary place, freeing the mind from desires and controlling the senses, meditate with unswerving attention on the Atman which is One without-a-second.

39. The wise one should intelligently merge the entire world-of-objects in the Atman alone and constantly think of the Self ever as contaminated by anything as the sky.

40. He who has realised the Supreme, discards all his identification with the objects of names and forms. (Thereafter) he dwells as an embodiment of the Infinite Consciousness and Bliss. He becomes the Self.

41. There are no distinctions such as "Knower", the "Knowledge" and the "Object of Knowledge" in the Supreme Self. On account of Its being of the nature of endless Bliss, It does not admit of such distinctions within Itself. It alone shines by Itself.

42. When this the lower and the higher aspects of the Self are well churned together, the fire of knowledge is born from it, which in its mighty conflagration shall burn down all the fuel of ignorance in us.

43. The Lord of the early dawn (Aruna) himself has already looted away the thick darkness, when soon the sun rises. The Divine Consciousness of the Self rises when the right knowledge has already killed the darkness in the bosom.

44. Atman is an ever-present Reality. Yet, because of ignorance it is not realised. On the destruction of ignorance Atman is realised. It is like the missing ornament of one's neck.

45. Brahman appears to be a 'Jiva' because of ignorance, just as a post appears to be a ghost. The ego-centric-individuality is destroyed when the real nature of the 'Jiva' is realised as the Self.

46. The ignorance characterised by the notions 'I' and 'Mine' is destroyed by the knowledge produced by the realisation of the true nature of the Self, just as right information removes the wrong notion about the directions.

47. The Yogi of perfect realisation and enlightenment sees through his "eye of wisdom" (Gyana Chakshush) the entire universe in his own Self and regards everything else as his own Self and nothing else.

48. Nothing whatever exists other than the Atman: the tangible universe is verily Atman. As pots and jars are verily made of clay and cannot be said to be anything but clay, so too, to the enlightened soul and that is perceived is the Self.

49. A liberated one, endowed with Self-knowledge, gives up the traits of his previously explained equipments (Upadhis) and because of his nature of Sat-chit-ananda, he verily becomes Brahman like (the worm that grows to be) a wasp.

50. After crossing the ocean of delusion and killing the monsters of likes and dislikes, the Yogi who is united with peace dwells in the glory of his own realised Self – as an Atmaram.

51. The self-abiding Jivan Mukta, relinquishing all his attachments to the illusory external happiness and satisfied with the bliss derived from the Atman, shines inwardly like a lamp placed inside a jar.

52. Though he lives in the conditionings (Upadhis), he, the contemplative one, remains ever unconcerned with anything or he may move about like the wind, perfectly unattached.

53. On the destruction of the Upadhis, the contemplative one is totally absorbed in 'Vishnu', the All-pervading Spirit, like water into water, space into space and light into light.

54. Realise That to be Brahman, the attainment of which leaves nothing more to be attained, the blessedness of which leaves no other blessing to be desired and the knowledge of which leaves nothing more to be known.

55. Realise that to be Brahman which, when seen, leaves nothing more to be seen, which having become one is not born again in this world and which, when knowing leaves nothing else to be known.

56. Realise that to be Brahman which is Existence-Knowledge-Bliss-Absolute, which is Non-dual, Infinite, Eternal and One and which fills all the quarters – above and below and all that exists between.

57. Realise that to be Brahman which is Non-dual, Indivisible, One and Blissful and which is indicated in Vedanta as the Immutable Substratum, realised after the negation of all tangible objects.

58. Deities like Brahma and others taste only a particle, of the unlimited Bliss of Brahman and enjoy in proportion their share of that particle.

59. All objects are pervaded by Brahman. All actions are possible because of Brahman: therefore Brahman permeates everything as butter permeates milk.

60. Realise that to be Brahman which is neither subtle nor gross: neither short nor long: without birth or change: without form, qualities, colour and name.

61. That by the light of which the luminous, orbs like the Sun and the Moon are illuminated, but which is not illumined by their light, realise that to be Brahman.

62. Pervading the entire universe outwardly and inwardly the Supreme Brahman shines of Itself like the fire that permeates a red-hot iron-ball and glows by itself.

63. Brahman is other than this, the universe. There exists nothing that is not Brahman. If any object other than Brahman appears to exist, it is unreal like the mirage.

64. All that is perceived, or heard, is Brahman and nothing else. Attaining the knowledge of the Reality, one sees the Universe as the non-dual Brahman, Existence-Knowledge-Bliss-Absolute.

65. Though Atman is Pure Consciousness and ever present everywhere, yet It is perceived by the eye-of-wisdom alone: but one whose vision is obscured by ignorance he does not see It; as the blind do not see the resplendent Sun.

66. The 'Jiva' free from impurities, being heated in the fire of knowledge kindled by hearing and so on, shines of itself like gold.

67. The Atman, the Sun of Knowledge that rises in the sky of the heart, destroys the darkness of the ignorance, pervades and sustains all and shines and makes everything to shine.

68. He who renouncing all activities, who is free of all the limitations of time, space and direction, worships his own Atman which is present everywhere, which is the destroyer of heat and cold, which is Bliss-Eternal and stainless, becomes All-knowing and All-pervading and attains thereafter Immortality.

భృగువు మొదలైనవారు ఖ్యాతి మొదలగు దక్ష కన్యలను వివాహ మాడిరి. ఖ్యాతి భృగువు వలన ధాత, విధాత అను దేవతలను లక్ష్మిని కనెను. విష్ణుపత్నియైన ఈ లక్ష్మినీ ఇంద్రుడు వృద్ధికొరకై స్తుతించెను.

ధాతకు ప్రాణుడు, విధాతకు మృకండుడు అను పుత్రుడు జనించిరి. మృకండునకు మార్కండేయుడును. ఆతనికి వేదశిదస్సు జనించిరి. అంగిరసుని వలన స్మృతియందు సినీవాలి, కుహ, రాక, అనుమతి అను కుమార్తెలు పుట్టిరి. అనసూయ అత్రి వలన సోముని, దుర్వాసుని, యోగియైన దత్తాత్రేయుని కనెను. (12)

Chapter 20 🌻 Primary creation - 1 🌻

Agni said:

The intellect (mahat) is the first creation of Brahmā. The second (creation) is that of the subtle principles (tanmātrās),[1] known as the bhūtasarga (creation of elements).

The third is the creation of evolutes (vaikārikas) known as the sense-organs. These are the primary creation (prākṛtasarga) produced out of the intellect.

The fourth, is the main creation (mukhyasarga). The immobile things are known as the main (creation). That (creation) which is spoken as (the creation of) the lower order (tiryaksrotas) is known as that of the sub-human beings (animals, birds etc.).

Then the sixth creation is that of the higher orders (ūrdhvasrotas), known as the creation of the celestials. Then the seventh creation is that of the middle orders (arvāksrotas), the man.

5-6. The eighth is the creation (known as) the anugraha (compassionate divinities), composed of the qualities (sāttvika and tāmasa. These (latter) five are known as the Vaikṛtasarga (creation subject to transformation). The ninth creation is the Kau-māra (the creation of Sanatkmāra etc.) These are the nine creations[2] of Brahmā which are the main cause for the universe.

7-8. Bhṛgu and others married Khyāti and other daughters of Dakṣa. Creation has been described as three-fold by the people. They are usual (nitya), subject to some cause (naimittika), (and) daily (dainandinī).[3] (The creation) after the intermediate dissolution is known as the daily (dainandinī). The constant creation that takes place everyday is considered as nitya.

From Bhṛgu, Khyāti gave birth to the celestials Dhātṛ and Vidhātṛ. Śrī (Lakṣmī) (was) the consort of Viṣṇu, and was praised by Śakra (Indra) for multiplying the progeny.

The sons of Dhātṛ and Vidhātṛ were Prāṇa and Mṛkaṇḍuka successively. Vedaśirā gave birth to Mārkaṇḍeya from Mṛkaṇḍu.

( Een Beschreven Koperplaat uit Zuid-Kediri ).

𝘿𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙖 𝙏𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙠𝙝 𝙙𝙖𝙣 𝙏𝙖𝙛𝙨𝙞𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙟𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙝𝙣𝙮𝙖 🤔🇮🇩

PRASASTI HORREN,

merupakan jenis Tambra Prasasti yg ditulis di atas lembar keping tembaga segi empat dengan ukuran panjang 32.60 cm, dan lebar 10.60 cm.

Prasasti tersebut diketemukan di daerah Kediri Selatan; tepatnya di wilayah Kecamatan Campur Darat, Kabupaten Tulung Agung, Propinsi Jawa Timur.

Di dalam nya tidak disebutkan nama seorang raja atau pejabat kerajaan, maupun kerajaan apa yg menerbitkan prasasti, serta tdk menyertakan tarikh diterbitkannya prasasti (❓) 🤔🇮🇩.

Hal inilah yg menjadi kendala penyebab utama penentuan kronologi (tarikh) dan peristiwa sejarah di belakangnya.

Pada awalnya oleh bbrp sejarawan prasasti tsb diduga berasal dari Jaman Kerajaan Majapahit. Namun jika diteliti dari gaya dan struktur bahasanya, prasasti tsb lebih mendekati ke Jaman Raja Airlangga dari Kerajaan Kahuripan di Abad ke XI M (Marwati Djoened Poesponegoro & Nugroho Notosusanto, 2008: 388).

Yang menarik di dalam isi Prasasti Horren, yaitu disinggung ttg adanya sebuah peristiwa perselisihan/perseteruan antara sebuah Kerajaan yg dipimpin oleh seorang Sri Paduka Maharaja (?) yg berada di wilayah Jawa bagian timur, dg Kerajaan Sunda yg dikatakan sebagai musuh (Satru).

Menurut pandangan sejarawan W. F. Stutterheim, bahwa prasasti tersebut dari jaman Majapahit dan diduga dibuat setelah/pasca peristiwa BUBAT tahun 1357 M.

Ia berpendapat bahwa selepas peristiwa BUBAT, Kerajaan Sunda sebenarnya melakukan serangan balasan ke Majapahit (W.F. Stutterheim, 1933: 102-104).

Prasasti Horren mengisahkan tentang adanya sebuah pertempuran/peperangan di sebuah desa bernama Horren di wilayah Tulung Agung bagian Selatan, yg diserang musuh dari SUNDA secara mendadak/tiba-tiba tanpa diduga sebelumnya.

Namun Warga Desa Horren secara mati2an berhasil menghalau musuh dan mempertahankan wilayahnya yg merupakan bagian daerah kekuasaaan Paduka Sri Maharaja (❓) 🤔

Hal tsb di atas itulah yg menyebabkan Warga Desa Horren memohon kepada Paduka Sri Maharaja, agar desanya dijadikan SIMA utk selamanya.

Indikasi lain tentang adanya permusuhan/perseteruan antara Kerajaan di Jawa Timur dengan Kerajaan Sunda di wilayah Jawa bagian Barat, yaitu peristiwa SUNDA-BUBAT yang disebutkan di dalam Naskah Karya Sastra (sumber sekunder) PARARATON dan KIDUNG SUNDA/KIDUNG SUNDAYANA (Bali = Gaguritan Sunda).

Beberapa Naskah Karya Sastra lain hanya sebagai pendukung dan pelengkap kedua naskah tsb di atas antara lain :

CARITA PARAHYANGAN, PUSTAKA RAJA-RAJYA I BHUMI NUSANTARA.

Beberapa versi cerita tentang Peristiwa Sunda Bubat diduga dipicu oleh beberapa faktor sebagai penyebabnya antara lain:

𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙝 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙥𝙖 (Amukti Palapa) GAJAH MADA ☝🇲🇨

Pertama, akibat realisasi Sumpah Palapa (Amukti Palapa) yg diprakarsai oleh Gajah Mada dalam cita-citanya memperluas wilayah kekuasaan Kerajaan Majapahit menjadi sebuah Imperium Nusantara, salah satunya tanpa terkecuali adalah SUNDA.

Ketika Gajah Mada dilantik menjadi Mahapatih Amangkubhumi di Majapahit, ia mengucapkan ikrar/sumpah " AMUKTI PALAPA " yg isinya:

"... lamun huwus kalah nusantara, isun amukti palapa, lamun kalah ring gurun, ring seran, tanjungpura, ring haru, ring pahang, dompo, ring bali, sunda, palembang, tumasik,

samanya isun amukti palapa... "

{ Sesudah Nusantara, saya menikmati istirahat. Sesudah kalah daerah Gurun, Seran, Tanjungpura, Haru, Pahang, Dompo, Bali, SUNDA, Palembang, Tumasik.

Kemudian datang peristiwa Sunda-Bubat.

Baginda Raja menginginkan Putri Sunda.

Patih disuruh mengundang Orang Sunda, Orang Sunda setuju akan perkawinan itu.

PARARATON, merupakan sebuah naskah Karya Sastra Jawa Pertengahan yg digubah ke dalam Bahasa Kawi, yg isinya menceriterakan tentang Sejarah Para Raja Singasari dan Majapahit di Jawa Timur.

Naskah tsb tdk mencantumkan nama penulis, kapan waktu penulisannya, serta dimana tempat penulisannya.

Salah satu dari naskah yg sama mencantumkan tarikh ( penyalinan ? ) 1522 Saka = 1600 Masehi.

Pada bagian akhir penulisan cerita ditutup dg sebuah peristiwa, sebuah gunung meletus yg terjadi pd tahun "... kayambara sagareku... " = 1403 Saka = 1481 Masehi. (PARARATON, edisi terjemahan Arif Studio, Bab IX, hal. 73).

Benefits of Amla:- Article 2

AMLA and its Properties

Amla has been regarded as the sacred tree in India. It sin worshiped as the Mother Earth and is believed to nurture humankind because the fruits are very nourishing. According to Ayurveda, Amla balances all three doshas. While Amla is unusual in that it contains five out of the six tastes recognized by Ayurveda, it is most important to recognize the effects of the “virya”, or potency, and “vipaka”, or post-digestive effect.

Amla as Ayurved medicine ( Gharelu upchaar):-

Nater rog (Eye sight problems):- Grind Amla 50 grams in mixi and after grinding boil in water for one hour on low heat. Take out water from tea strainer. Use in eyes three times a day.

Natershodh (eye sight):-Make hole in the Amla fruit sticked on tree. Extract liquid from the Amla and paste on all corners of eyes for better eye sight.

Vriksh par lage huye Amla me ched karne se jo drav padarath niklata hai, uska ankh ke bahar charo or lap karne se ankho ke shukal bhag ke shod mitte hai.

Naterphoole (Swelling on eyes):- Grind 7 grams Amla in mixi and keep in water. After keeping the Amla in water for two to three hours take the Amla from water. Again take another Amla and repeat the process three to four times with another set of Amla. Use the water in eyes for cure of eyes related diseases and for better eye sight.

7 gram Amla ko jokut kar thande pani me tar kar de, do- tin ghante bade un Amlo ko nichodekar fank de or us jal me phir dusre Amla bhigo de. Do- tin ghante bade unko bhi nichod kar fank de, is parkar tin – char bar aisa karke us pani ko Ankho me dalne chayeye Isse Anko ke Phuli mitte hai.

Kesh kalp (For black hair):-Take dry Amla 30 grams + 10 grams Bahera Churan+ Mango seeds (Guthali)+ Loh Churan 10 grams-keep these in water full night minimum 12 hours. Wash hairs with the water daily for grey hairs for minimum three months. The hairs will start turning black.

Sukhe Amla 30 gram, bahada 10 gram, aam ke guthle ke giri 50 gram or loh churan 10 gram raat bhar kadaiye me bhigo kar rakhe thatha balo par iska nitya prati lap karne se choti aayu me savat huye bal kuch he dino me kale pad jate hai.

Kesho ke liye:- Amla, rintha, sikakai tino ke kawath banakar sir donne se bal muliam , ghane or lambe hote hai.Keshkanti tal bhi balo ke liye acha hota hai

Naksir (Bleeding in nose due to heat stroke):-Take Mango,Jamun and Amla-grind in mixi grinder. Paste on head for bleeding in nose due to heat.

Jamun ,aam thatha Amla ko barik pess kar mastic par lap karne se nasika me parvrat rakat ruk jata hai.

Amla Powder mix with goat milk. Apply this paste on your head for stop the bleeding from the Nose.

Constipation and pilles:- Take 3-6 grams Amla Trifla for constipation with water in night.

(b) Grind Amla in mixi grinder.Paste the Amla powder in earthen utensils. Fill the pot with Chati lassi-chachh- after some time give to the patient of piles.

Swar bhaid:- Ajmoda ,haldi,Amla, yavkshar,chatrak inko saman matra me mila le, 1 se 2 gram churan ko 2 chamch madhu thatha 1 chamch grat ke sath chatne se swar bhed dur hota hai.

Hika:- Amla ras 10 – 20 gram or 2 -3 gram peppar ka churan 2 chamch honey ke sath din me do bar sewan karne se hichkei me labh hota hai.

Vaman:- Hichki thatha ulti me Amla ka 10 – 20 mililitre ras 5 – 10 gram misri milakar dene se aram hota hai.Yeh din me do – tin bar diya ja sakta hai.

Amalpit:-

1. 1 – 2 nag thaja Amla misri ke sath ya Amla swaras 25 gram sambagh honey ke sath prant: saye dene par khate Dakar, amalpit ke shikayeta dur ho jate hai.

2. Amla ke 10 gram bij raat bar jal me bhigokar rakhe ye ugle din goo dudh me ise piskar 250 gram goo dudh (cow milk) ke sath dene par pitadhikaye me pabh hota hai.

Sardi:

Trikon janit sardi me Amla thatha dakh ko piskar 40 gram khand, 40 gram madhu or 160 gram jal milakar kapde se chankar peena chayea.

Kamla:-

Yekrit ke durlabhta weh piliya niwaran ke liye Amla ko honey ke sath chatni banakar Subhe – sham liya jana chaiye.

Mutarkrachar:-

Iske taji chal ke 10 – 20 gram ras me 2 gram haldi or 10 gram madhu milakar subhe sham pilane se mutarkrachar mitte hai.

Kabaj:- Yekrit badne ,sirdard,kabj, bawaser or badhajmi rog me Amla se bane trifla churan ko prayog kiya jata hai.3 – 6 gram trifla churan ki faki ushan jal ke sath raat me sote samye lene se kabj mitta hai.

Arash:-

1. Amla ko bali – bhati piskar us piti ko ek mitt eke bartan me lape kar dena chayeiye.Phir us bartan me chach barker us chach ko rogi ko pilane se bawaser me labh hota hai.

2. Bawaser ke masse se adik rakat satrav hota ho, to 3 se 8 gram Amla churan ka sewan dahi ke malai ke sath din me do – tin bar karna chaiye.

Sukarmeh:Dhup me sukhaye huye Amlo ke guthle rehat 10 gram churan me dugne misri milakar 250 gram tak taja jal ke sath 15 din tak lagatar sewan karne se swapandosh, sukarparmeh adhi rogo me nishchit roop se labh hota hai.

Shwate pardar:- Amla ke 20 – 30 gram bijo ko pani ke saath piskar us pani ko chan le, usme 2 chamch honey or pisi huye misri milakar pilane se swat pardar me labh hota hai.

Rakat Gulam:- Amla ke ras me kali mirch dalkar pene se rakat gulam nasht hota hai.

Parmeh:-

1. Amla, hard, bahada, nagar motha, daruhaldi, devdaru en sabko saman matra me lekar yethavidhi unka kawath karke 10 se 20 gram ke matra me subhe – sham parmeh ke rogi ko pilaye.

2. Amla,gilow , neem ke chal. Parwal ki patti ko 50 gram kki matra me sambag lekar adha litre pani me 12 ghante bhigokar phir pakaye, jab chaturash shesh rahe,kshye me 2 chamch madhu ke sath milakar din me tin bar sewan karne se pitze parmeh nasht hote hai.

O Mind, I grasp your feet and beg you with sweet words: Please cast away all hypocrisy and develop intense, unprecedented love for my spiritual master, Vrajabhumi, the people of Vraja, the Vaisnavas, the brahmanas, the Gayatri mantra, the holy name, and the transcendental shelter that is the fresh young couple of Vraja, Radha and Krsna.

Text 2 na dharmam nadharmam sruti-gana-niruktam kila kuru vraje radha-krsna-pracura-paricaryam iha tanuh saci-sunum nandisvara-pati-sutatve guru-varam mukunda-presthatve smara padam ajasram nanu manah

O Mind, don’t concern yourself with the pious and impious deeds described in the Vedas. Rather, intently serve Sri Sri Radha-Krsna in Vraja. Always remember that Lord Caitanya is the son of Maharaja Nanda and that my guru is most dear to Lord Mukunda.

Text 3 yadiccher avasam vraja-bhuvi sa-ragam prati-janur yuva-dvandvam tac cet paricaritum arad abhilase svarupam sri-rupam sa-ganam iha tasyagrajam api sphutam premna nityam smara nama tada tvam srnu manah

O Mind, just listen to me! If you desire to reside in Vraja birth after birth, and if you desire to directly serve the divine youthful couple there with great attraction, then with intense love always remember and bow down to Srila Svarupa Damodara Gosvami; to Srila Rupa Gosvami and his elder brother, Srila Sanatana Gosvami; and to all their associates and followers.

Text 4 asad-varta-vesya visrja mati-sarvasva-haranih katha mukti-vyaghrya na srnu kila sarvatma-gilanih api tyaktva laksmi-pati-ratim ito vyoma-nayanim vraje radha-krsnau sva-rati-mani-dau tvam bhaja manah

O Mind, give up friendship with nondevotees, which is nothing but a prostitute who will steal the treasure of your heart–your desire to serve Radha-Krsna. Don’t listen to talks of impersonal liberation, which are a tigress who devours everyone. You should even give up attraction for Lord Narayana, which leads to the world of Vaikuntha. Instead, O mind, just worship Sri Sri Radha-Krsna in Vraja, for They bestow upon their worshipers the jewel of pure love for Themselves.

Text 5 asac-cesta-kasta-prada-vikata-pasalibhir iha prakamam kamadi-prakata-pathapati-vyatikaraih gale baddhva hanye ’ham iti bakabhid vartmapa-gane kuru tvam phutkaran avati sa yatha tvam mana itah

The highwaymen of lust and his friends have bound me around the neck with the painful, horrible, powerful ropes of many wicked deeds. O mind, please scream out to the devotees of Krsna, the killer of Baka, “I am being killed!” Then He will save me.

Text 6 are cetah prodyat-kapata-kuti-nati-bhara-khara- ksaran-mutre snatva dahasi katham atmanam api mam sada tvam gandharva-giridhari-pada-prema-vilasat- sudhambhodhau snatva svam api nitaram mam ca sukhaya

O Mind, why do you burn us both by bathing in the urine trickling from the ass of great deviousness and hypocrisy? Instead, you should delight us by eternally bathing in the glistening nectar-ocean of pure love for Sri Sri Gandharva-Giridhari (Sri Sri Radha-Krsna).

Text 7 pratisthasa dhrsta svapaca-ramani me hrdi natet katham sadhu-prema sprsati sucir etan nanu manah sada tvam sevasva prabhu-dayita-samantam atulam yatha tam niskasya tvaritam iha tam vesayati sah

as long as the impudent untouchable woman of the desire for fame dances in my heart, why should pure love for Radha-Krsna touch me? O mind, continuously serve my spiritual master, the leader of those who are dear to the Lord. Then my master will quickly kick out that harridan and allow that pure love to enter.

Text 8 yatha dustatvam me darayati sathasyapi krpaya yatha mahyam premamrtam api dadaty ujjvalam asau atha sri-gandharva-bhajana-vidhaye prerayati mam tatha gosthe kakva giridharam iha tvam bhaja manah

So That He will mercifully smash my wickedness (even though I am a great rascal), so that He will give me the splendid nectar of transcendental love, and so He will engage me in Sri Radha’s service, please, O mind, with words choked with emotion, worship Lord Giridhari here in Vraja.

Text 9 mad-isa-nathatve vraja-vipina-candram vraja-vane- svarim tan-nathatve tad-atula-sakhitve tu lalitam visakham siksali-vitarana-gurutve priya-saro- girindrau tat-preksa-lalita-rati-datve smara manah

O Mind, please meditate on Krsna, the moon of Vraja forest, as the Lord of my controller, Srimati Radharani. And please meditate upon Srimati Radharani, the queen of Vraja forest, as Krsna’s controller. Also please meditate upon Lalita as the peerless friend of Radha and Krsna, Visakha as the guru who teaches Them many things, and Radha-kunda and Govardhana Hill as two places the mere sight of which bestows charming transcendental love for the divine couple.

Text 10 ratim gauri-lile api tapati saundarya-kiranaih saci-laksmi-satyah paribhavati saubhagya-balanaih vasi-karais candravali-mukha-navina-vraja-satih ksipaty arad ya tam hari-dayita-radham bhaja manah

O Mind, please worship Lord Hari’s beloved Radha. with the splendor of Her beauty She makes Rati, Gauri, and Lila burn with envy, with the power of Her good fortune She defeats Saci, Laksmi, and Satyabhama, and with Her ability to control Krsna She completely eclipses Candravali and the other pious young girls of Vraja.

Text 11 samam sri-rupena smara-vivasa-radha-giribhrtor vraje saksat-seva-labhana-vidhaye tad-gana-yujoh tad-ijyakhya-dhyana-sravana-nati-païcamrtam idam dhayan nitya govardhanam anudinam tvam bhaja manah

O Mind, in order to attain the direct service of the two divine lovers, Sri Sri Radha-Giridhari, in the company of Their friends, every day you must constantly drink, with Sri Rupa Gosvami, the five nectars of worshiping Them, chanting Their names, meditating on Them, hearing about Them, and bowing down before Them, and every day you must worship Govardhana Hill.

Text 12 manah-siksa-daikadasaka-varam etam madhuraya gira gayaty uccaih samadhi-gata-sarvartha-tati yah sa-yuthah sri-rupanuga iha bhavan gokula-vane jano radha-krsnatula-bhajana-ratnam sa labhate

These eleven excellent instructions to the mind grant all spiritual benedictions. A person who stays with the devotees, follows Srila Rupa Gosvami, and with a sweet voice loudly sings these eleven verses will attain the matchless jewel of direct service to Sri Sri Radha-Krsna in the forest of Gokula
