remember when we played bang-sak within the hallowed walls of the kumbento that we used to treat as playground?

we marched our way inside the church but we couldn’t find a spot to hide from the seeker

“this way” you led the way going to a jeepney nestled beside the plaza.

we hid our bodies like members of a guerilla—afraid to be shot dead.

after all, that was what this game was all about—never allow the seeker catch us and shout ‘bang’ straight to our heads

but isn’t this what we’re doing now?—hiding

to never allow their eyes to land on our bodies, both nestled within the pillars of an abandoned nipahut

to never allow them say words that serve as guns, to bang us both until we cry blood

Hoping this 4 day vacation was relaxing but I think this trip was more of learning how to cope with others wherein patience was really tested and deep understanding was highly needed. No joke this was sorta fun and exciting with all the planned destinations. Truly, I am amazed of the beauty of God's creation, from the beaches to the cave, to each island and rock formations. The food here was fresh and savory. The locals here was really kind, accommodating and jolly.

I enjoy walking around the city of Puerto Prinsesa. Visited the Plaza Cuartel, a histroric place here. Strolled around baywalk and enjoyed sweetcorn. We also ate at Guni-Guni, a hostel/restobar; they serve the best fried chicken, beef quesdilla and frozen margarita. I also love our nipahut airbnb.

On the second day, we had the Honda Bay tour. It is my first time to try snorkeling and it was fun. I enjoyed the fishes and the feeling of doing this new thing. I am looking forward to my next snorkeling. I certainly know this is not my last one.

After so many years, I was able to witness a beautiful sand bar at Luli's Island. I was also able to experience paddle diving :) I was so exhausted swimming. Only few people were in the island and we are so thankful for this experience.

We went to Cowrie Island, such a beautiful one. Sand was so fine, the nipa huts were so clean and cozy. Food served by the tour was so delicious. I enjoy the cool breeze of the sea, the trees nearby created some shed while you sat by the sand the enjoy the best view.

On our third day, we went to the one of the Seven Wonders of the World. - The Palawan Underground River. It was breathtaking. The rock formation around the cave was so beautiful. The cave was stunning, the stalagmites and stalactites, the minerals formed were so amazing.

The view of the West Philippine sea was so fascinating.

On our second accomodation, we really enjoyed the pool in the middle of the woods. The cute design of the bedroom, the aesthetic features of the house, such beautiful planted flowers around the place.

For our lunch, we will try the famous Ka Lui's Seafood Restaurant. :)
