Continuing Ninjargon translations, now on DR S1E2

The painting to the left of Arin:

Ninja never quit

I was actually expecting this to be the same as the "Control Time Control everything" reference thing in the flashback, but I guess not.

The sails:

Sail

It is mirrored (I'm guessing because of the sail it's on), but it literally just says "Sail". Which is different from the sails on the set, which translate to "Wind".

The flags at the back:

Fortune

It's also mirrored, but since it's read vertically rather than horizontally, it's not quite so bad. This translation is also different than the one on the set, which just says "Ninja".

Honestly, I prefer the show translation for it. Both because 1) fortune/destiny somewhat seem to just be on the ninja's side (heavy on the somewhat. At least they generally win their battles). And 2) fortune is going to send that Bounty down pretty fucking quick because it's a hater

The thing, that plus Rapton's figure, made everyone think at least one of the Time Twins are returning.

Though I'm not sure if the first "C" is actually missing, or if we just can't see it due to the angle of the camera.

There was a lot less Ninjargon this episode, mostly due to the fact that it was mainly just in the Monastery, on the Bounty, or in the Land of Three Mountains, which of course won't have any Ninjargon.

Hey, I guess I never uploaded it but here’s my finished Destiny’s Bounty! The thing is a really big drawing in real life- about 4 feet long!

Yall ever think about how Zane is a seer with prophetic dreams of the future, but he's also a robot with memory problems who struggles to maintain his sense of self? Like. He's condemned to see a future he cannot prevent, yet cursed to long for a past he cannot recall. His dreams are filled with the vestiges of tragedies yet to come, but never the tragedies he wishes he could remember. Do you think he ever used to get disappointed when he'd have prophetic dreams, upset that it was another vision of the future but not of the past he so desperately wished to understand?

no cuz i'll never stop thinking about how the element of lightning was the one to make the destiny's bounty an airship. the one so connected with the sky is the one to bring the destiny's bounty up to meet it. maybe it was a conscious choice. maybe jay felt the sparks running up his arms the higher he went and knew that's what he needed to do. or maybe he just felt a pull, a need to be closer to the clouds. he didn't know why. he just knew that's where he needed to be. and he acted accordingly.

The fact they find Jay here and they’ll never really, truly know why Jay chose this place out of all the other places makes it hurt just a bit more.

So when the Bounty crashes, the three groups' thoughts about whether the other groups are alive or not differ greatly.

For Lloyd and Nya, the others being alive isn't a concern. They probably assume the others are still alive, just stranded. But as priorities are, they have to stop Ras before they can look for them.

For Kai, Wyldfyre, and Sora, the concern is there a bit, but survival is more important, as is stopping Ras when they see the Wolf Mask Warriors.

But for Arin and Riyu, that worry that they are the only survivors is prominent. And unlike the other two groups, this fear is actually what further motivates them to go find Ras, as only they can now. And they have too.

Hey, I finished the damn design 🫥

I literally couldn't come up with a design for the Gift of Fate from the very beginning of FotP, there were ACTUALLY tons of these concepts. It's a little corny that the end result is based on 8-12 seasons lol, I was pretty sure it would be the previous contept, but… I love this version, so I decided to repeat and improve it (let's pretend the ninjas have a better version of the Bounty, and they decide to develop it over and over again). I don't know why I paid so much attention to it considering the ship will crash in episode 2 khevkshvskbsktv
