Had the idea that Splinter needed to wean Leo off needing Donnie to sleep cuz lil Donnie started needing his own space, but it was a struggle. Til Splinter discovered the secret dough rolling technique and on occasion adult Leo will wrap himself in a ball as a self-comforting method when he’s missing his family most.

Febuwhump Day 7: Alternate Timeline Self

“They were your brothers! Your brothers!” Don’s voice cracked with the ferocity of his scream, the same force carrying his fist into his own emotionless face.

His other self rocked with the blow, recovered after a few staggered steps, but otherwise nothing. No shudder, no blink, not a twitch.

“They were all you had! They were everything! How could you do that to them?” Desperate hands snagged his throat, squeezed and shook to rattle some response out of him. “How could you leave them?! Tell me how! Tell me why! Where were you when I had to watch them die?!”

What if the tracker Donnie put in Leo worked the entire time Leo was bouncing around the universe?

Maybe Donnie ended up making a spaceship for them to go out into space and find Leo, constantly having to change course when they see his tracker spontaneously move somewhere else. It’s annoying that the tracker moves so often, but it’s also a relief, because if it ever stopped moving, or worse disappeared, then…

At any rate, space adventures for all of them as Donnie, Mikey, and Raph (+ others like April and maybe the Caseys) try to get Leo back and Leo keeps desperately trying to get back home, not knowing his family was coming for him.
