Holland has no shortage of festivals packing out the summer season, but Lowlands is the country’s most iconic music event that’s been delivering lost weekends since 1993.
A Campingflight To Lowlands Paradise — to give it its full celebratory name — is one of Europe’s premier festivals, an expressive, open and creative adventure with a wildly diverse line-up of musicians, artists, thinkers and dreamers pitching together for the biggest weekend of the year.
Lowlands Festival (Photo Album)
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
The festival takes place in the northern rural area of Biddinghuizen, roughly an hour by train from Amsterdam’s super-connected Schiphol Airport, so it scores plenty of extra bonus points for being one of Europe’s easiest festivals to plan logistically.
From the main arenas to pop-up stages, installations and other one-off happenings, hundreds of performers are on site to steer Lowlands campers in all manner of left-field directions over a giddy four days. This year a few big headline acts include Tame Impala, The National, Billie Eilish, New Order, A$AP Rocky and Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, but there’s so much more to discover below the surface.
Here are six reasons to pack your tent and take a flight to Lowlands Paradise…
1. They’re smooth operators We’ve already mentioned Schiphol Airport’s convenience as a hub flying from anywhere in Europe, and the 70km to Biddinghuizen is just a short train and shuttle bus away (and the shuttle bus to nearby Lelystad runs all day for supplies). Once you’re in, forget about previous horror stories of missing bands while standing in half-hour queues for gruesome portaloos or having your buzz drained in a bar queue that lasts as long as a DJ set. There’s virtually no queues at Lowlands for food, drink or toilets. It’s not exactly a hot take — they simply hire enough bar staff and make sure there are enough bars and toilets around. And their ‘Munten’ token system makes things even easier – you just buy tokens from dozens of vending machines around the festival and campsites and use them at bars and food stalls so there’s no waiting for change. And you’ve probably guessed, you won’t have to queue for these vending machines either.
2. Happy campers everywhere Campsites at all the major UK festivals have slowly been getting better over the years, but the bar was set pretty low, from horror stories of tents being set on fire, mile-long queues for meagre facilities and trash piles that would cause Wall-E to short circuit.
Even though Lowlands has 60,000 party heads roaming around, the campsites have a more boutique festival vibe, with an emphasis on ample space and well-tended facilities. There’s no drudgery involved after your wake-up – there’s an abundance of toilets, showers and food stalls, and even art installations and games areas. And very importantly, there are plenty of bins and everyone gets a recycle bag – there’s virtually no litter.
And this is only the ‘regular’ campsites. If you want next-level treatment, the Gllamcamp area has you covered, with a range of canvas tipis, yurts and bell tents, mini cabins, quirky wooden ‘motels’ and even a welcome lobby with a fire pit. And even if you’re traipsing back in the early hours after a rave you’ll have relative silence to drift off.
3. The lost weekend inclusive atmosphere The Dutch are famed for their work ethic and unwavering ability to make things run smoothly, but they’re also European league leaders in partying, illustrated by their huge number of festivals and famous clubbing scenes in cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
There’s a rule at Lowlands and that’s once you’re in, you’re in — it’s an inclusive party to let off steam for four days. You can’t buy day tickets, so when you get your wristband and walk through the gates on Thursday you’re there with everyone for the long haul until Monday morning — no giddy fresh faces gatecrashing on Sunday and taking over.
Organiser Eric van Eerdenburg says: “If you come to Campingflight you come in on Thursday and leave on Monday, there are no fresh virgin spirits coming in! On Sunday, people may be going berserk, but people are connected all over the field — it’s a dream place.” And even if everyone’s going berserk, you won’t find any marauding belligerent drunkenness – maybe due to the Dutch liberal drug laws.
4. Higher learning All too often music festivals are an arms race to see how many brain cells you can blitz before Monday morning, but Lowlands is one festival that might send you home smarter than when you arrived.
It’s a true music and arts festival, with sculptures, installations and performance art on display at all times. Music is also only one of the categories on the programme, which also includes comedy, theatre, dance, literature, philosophy and arthouse cinema. It’s hardly recommended, but you could theoretically go to Lowlands and have a fulfilling weekend without seeing any bands.
The non-music programme isn’t relegated to the sidelines, but the activism, debates, seminars, workshops, lectures and readings are an integral part of the whole Lowlands experience.
5. Strike a pose at the vogue performance workshop To dive in feet first at Lowlands it’s better to recalibrate your body clock and flip to nocturnal mode, if only to catch the early hours electronic artists DJing at various corners of the site. And chances are, if you’re not Dutch you may already feel like you’re lagging behind with your dancing when you spot the locals’ famous shuffle-step ‘Konijnendans’ techno steps.
But Dutch dance pioneers House of Vineyard are at Lowlands this year to welcome you into the ballroom community and reprogram your two left feet with a vogue performance workshop. Vogueing was created by gay and transgender people in the 70s and 80s in New York black and Latino communities as a form of escapism from discrimination through flamboyant dance battles. Popularised in the mainstream by Madonna’s 1990 hit, Vogue culture has been a huge influence on artists such Beyonce, Rihanna and FKA Twigs, while scene terms like ‘throwing shade’ are part of the everyday youth culture lexicon.
Here’s a chance to engage with a vibrant, defiant, inclusive subculture, and look good while doing it.
6. A sense of history The current incarnation of Lowlands has evolved from its beginnings in 1993, with a line-up crammed with crucial alt-rock acts such as Smashing Pumpkins, Jesus Lizard, The Breeders, Tool and Rage Against the Machine. After a break, the festival returned in 2000 and has returned every year since.
Lowlands – 2018 Official Aftermovie
youtube
Since the turn of the millennium, Lowlands has helped shape and reflect popular underground music, from blockbuster headliners to catching acts on their way up. The list of iconic acts to play Lowlands is staggering, and includes The Sex Pistols, Grace Jones, Faith No More, Nick Cave, Iggy Pop, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Prodigy, Arcade Fire, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Nine Inch Nails, LCD Soundsystem, The Knife, Portishead, Kendrick Lamar, Noel Gallagher, Philip Glass, Solange, Patti Smith and literally thousands more.
And let’s not forget that the whole magic was started in the late 60s with a Flight To Lowlands Paradise, with Dutch acts playing the first edition in 1967 and a little upcoming British act by the name of Pink Floyd headlining in 1968…
A Campingflight To Lowlands Paradise really is the ultimate summer holiday extravaganza!
Line up includes; Tame Impala, Twenty One Pilots, De Staat, A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, The National, New Order, Royal Blood, Anne-Marie, Bear’s Den, Billie Eilish, Franz Ferdinand, Giorgio Moroder, The Good, The Bad & The Queen, James Blake, Jon Hopkins and many more. Ask game
Rules: answer 21 questions and tag 21 people. Because I always feel I little bit nervous, when I need to tag people I like or follow, I would like to see answers of everyone who found this game interesting!
Tagged by @kasielartist. If you don’t know her, just go to check her awesome arts. She’s very talented and I think we will hear about her more in the future. And she’s very kind and modest. Just a precious. :)
Warning: I love writing, so everything you’ll read by me is pretty long. Not Sorry.
Nickname(s): My father started to call me “Niki” when I was 4 years old and I’m so used to it, that I practically like it more that my real name. Some of my friends likes to call me “Angel”, because I like to help people. That’s why my full nickname is Niki Angel. And yes, my older sister calls me “špunt”, that’s a czech slang for “very small person”.
Zodiac: Acording to Horoscope, I am -- creative (yes), passionate (kind of), generous (yes!), warm-hearted (yes!!), cheerful (yes!!!), humorous (trying but failing), arrogant (well, yes), stubborn (more than anyone around me), self-centered (nope), lazy (ooooh), inflexible (yes, and I hate it) -- a summer and Sun child, Leo.
Height: Something between dwarf, human and elf -- 1.55 cm.
Hogwarts house: Traits: dedication, hardworking, fairness, patience, kindness, tolerance, modesty, loyalty and produced the fewest Dark wizards of all the four Houses. Who I am? I’m Jean Valjean Hufflepuff! I remember how sad I was like a kid when everyone thinked about me like a stupid person, just because I was in the Hufflepuff. But, after some time, I wear our colors just proud as other houses. Because we have nothing to be ashamed of! Just look at the traits! That’s something what can change the world in the most positive way!
Last thing I googled: Keanu Reeves. It was because in Czech republic he isn’t so popular and everyone around tumblr and youtube are just so crazy about him that I wanted to know why. Now I know and I watched two films yesterday with him in lead role.
Fave musician(s): I FREAKING LOVE MUSIC. My taste it’s pretty diverse. I wrote only favorite of every gender of music I listen mostly everyday, because otherwise we would be there for more than a week. When you click at the name of the artist(s) you can hear my favorite song made by them.
Kpop: Ultimate favorite is “TVXQ”. It was my first Kpop band back in 2007, when I started to listening Kpop. Then I love “VIXX” (+ “Leo” / “Ravi” / “LR)”, “4Minute” (+ “HyunA” / “TripleH” / “Troublemaker”) and “KARD”. Others I like to listen everyday:
Girlband: “2NE1″ (+ “CL”), “AOA” (+ “Jimin”), “BLACKPINK”, “Brown Eyed Girls” (+ “GaIn”), “CLC”, “EXID”, “Girl’s Day”, “Girl’s Generation” (+ “Taeyeon”), “Miss A”, “Red Velvet”, “Secret” (+ “Hyoseong” / “Jieun”), “SISTAR” (+ “Hyolyn”), “Stellar”, “T-ARA”
Boyband: “100%”, “B.A.P” (+ “Yongguk & Zelo”), “B1A4″, “BEAST”, “Big Bang” (+ “G-dragon”), “Block B”, “BTOB”, “BTS” (+ “Rapmoster” / “Agust D”), “EXO”, “GOT7″, “iKON”, “INFINITE”, “JJCC”, “MBLAQ”, “MONSTA X”, “Nu’est”, “SHINee”, “SS501″, “Super Junior”, “U-Kiss”
Solo: “Ailee”, “BoA”, “DEAN”, “HOLAND”, “Hyoshin”, “Jessi”, “Sunmi”, “YEZI”
Rock / Alternative: Tie between “Panic! At the Disco” and “The Score”. Their music helped me on every exam on university and inspireted one of my biggest Les Mis fanfic project (I think it will be done next spring). Others: “8 graves”, “30 Second to the Mars”, “Billie Eilish”, “Against The Current”, “Coldplay”, “Disturbed”, “Evanescence”, “Fall Out Boy”, “Five Finger Death Punch”, “Get Scared”, “grandson”, “Hurts”, “Imagine Dragons”, “Linkin Park”, “MISSIO”, “Nine Inch Nails”, “One Republic”, “Set It Off”, “SIAMÉS”, “Starset”, “The Cab”, “Thousand Foot Krutch”, “The Neighbourhood”, “Twenty One Pilots“, “Digital Daggers”
Classic: Favorite is our composer “Bedřich Smetana” His Moldau is still one of my favorite piece of work. Then “Beethoven”, “Mozart”, “Vivaldi” and “Wagner”.
Cover: Because this talented people matters too! “Chase Holfelder”, “Nick Pitera”, “Peter Hollens” and “ZEK”.
And many, many, MANY soundtracks and instrumental music for games, films, series, original works, etc.
Following: Les Misérables and Ao no exorcist artists, writers and fans. Some psychology blogs too.
Followers: 10! And I really appreciate it. I’m still new to tumblr, not so active and my fanfiction writing is still on start. Hope, maybe after some years, I will have more thank to my works.
Song stuck in your head: “Imagine Dragons songs battle - Peter Hollens vs. Chase Holfelder”.
Amount of sleep: 2-4 hours per day. I’m so used to live under pressure, stress and lack of sleep, that’s is weird to sleep more than 4 hours. That sometimes happens on holidays, 1-2 times in year. And I seriously don’t remember how much sleep I’m getting. Maybe 8 or 9. Irony -- I love sleeping, but we have some love-hate relationship.
Lucky number: 13. Stuck with me from my middle school years.
Do you get asks: Actually - no. And I need you to know, that I’m absolutely okay with them. So if you want to ask something or just chat or you have problem and want to help, just messege me. I’m open to everyone.
What are you wearing: Red summer dress. (And, yes, I’m not one of the fashionable person you want to know.)
Dream job: Soldier! But... Well, I’m too small and not 100 % healthy so I must give up this dream when I was 14 years old and my doctor told me that I will never be a soldier. It was pretty hard for me back then, but I decided to work for police in Special Victims Unit with focus on sexual abuse on children. I’m slowly getting there thank to studying and hard work!
Instrument(s): I played piano profesionally for 10 years. I stopped after some time on highschool because I could no longer attend courses in my town. I can still play it, but don’t have piano or keyboard at home, so I sometimes play on train stations just for the nostalgy. BUT! I want to buy my favorite piano for 30. birthday. Hope I will save the money, I have 7 years for it. OH, and I can play some songs on quitar.
Language(s): Motherlanguage is czech, so is absolutely normal for me to understand slovak. I speak english, even thoughs I have C1 certificate, I’m nervous and can’t speak or write without shaking, sweating and making stupid mistakes. I learned german on middle and high school, but can’t say a shit practically anything in this freaking language. When someone ask me something in croatian, polish or russian, I mostly understand but I blame it on Slavic roots. And I’m learning french for 6 months now, because I always wanted to speak and understand this language.
Fav song(s): “Hurricane by 30 Second to the Mars”! Mentioned already in the “Favorite musician(s)” ask.
Aesthetic: piano sheets, coffee, blue color, literature, music, theather, optimistic thoughts, deep thoughts, dogs, family, friends, love... <3
Random fact(s): My lucky number is 13, so 13 random facts about me!
MY FAVORITE book is “The Picture of Dorian Gray”; musical is “The Phantom of the Opera”; anime is “Yu Yu Hakusho”; manga is “Ao no Exorcist”; film is “The Shawshank Redemption"; series is “Game of Thrones” but not the season 8; band is “TVXQ”; color is blue in any shade; season is autumn; dogbreed is “Czechoslovakian woldog” and icecream with flavour of citrone or pistachio.
My biggest dream it’s make everyone on this world happy, satisfied, loved and accepted.
I’m coffe AND tea person. I can’t choose what I love more!
I love cleaning the house while listening (and stupidly dancing and falsely singing) to music.
My life motto? “Freedom. Beauty. Truth. Love.” Bohemian all the way!
I’m pretty shy and don’t talk much at first. I like to be around people, don’t get me wrong, but mostly I’m a listener. That’s maybe why I love writing so much.
I already know what song will play at my funeral! It’s “Lacrimosa from Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart”.
I’m romantic! If you’re my parnert just prepare to be woke up with your favorite breakfast, we will watch your favorite series and talk about it all the time, I will plan our vacation just to make sure it will be unforgettable for you, I will buy your favorite perfume, I will DIY presents for you, I will respect and love you with all my heart, I will praise your work, I will learn about your hobbies and support them... Yeah, my friends call it’s “annoyingly submissive” but who cares? That’s just me.
Even thought what I wrote here (^8.) - I fall in love only one time in my whole life. It was 2 months after my 18. birthday. He was tall, black-haired cishet man, witty, inteligent, humourus, gently, ironic, sarcastic and beautiful human being. And he’s my boyfriend for 5 years now and we have awesome 1 year old daugher.
I studied law and public administration in highschool and criminology on university. In Semptember this year (2019) I’ll start my master’s degree for public safety and 2 years long psychology practice. After this I’ll go to work and start my distance learning of psychology (A/N: 3 years for bachelor + 2 years for master + 4 years for doctor + 2 years of another practive - then exams and only AFTER ALL OF THIS you can become a psychiatrics with your own office! That’s why I wanted start studying this subject AFTER my police graduation).
I have emepthophobia - abnormal and very strong fear of throwing up. This is why I eat only things I know for long time (no raw meat, no sushi, no experimental cusaine); I don’t like eating at restaurants (I’m afraid that some guest can get nauseated and start throwing up); I don’t go to amusent parks and never was (and I'll never be!) on their attractions; I am abstinent (Don’t try to force, seriously); I don’t like to be around drunk people; I hate hospitals and doctors (even thought a deeply respect them, but try to get the tube into my mouth ONE MORE TIME AND WILL DESTROY ALL YOUR BLOODLINE) and I HATE films when they put throwing up like “comedic” aspect (mostly American comedies. That’s why I don’t watch them.). Actually, just writing it down makes me anxious because I imagine all the things I’m writing and it’s horrible... (I needed to stop writing, calm myself for like half a hour and even after this I didn’t wrote everything that I hate about this phobia).
I’m demisexual but still don’t see myself as a part of the LGBT+ comunity. Maybe because when I come out some friends of the comunity (namely gay, lesbian a trans female lesbian) they say that “demisexuality is nothing compare their fight for rights” and it’s “just another heterosexual made-up thing for which don’t want sex or want to judge others who love sex with no relationships including”. That’s why, when someone ask me why I support LGBT+ so much and have so many friends of them, I’m saying that I am a “Straight Ally”. Even though I know it’s not all the true (because I don’t identify myself like heterosexual at all), I just don’t fell I need to explain or “come out” like some others. I just live with it and I’m happy. To all demisexuals: Don’t ever think you are weird. You aren’t! You can fall in love. You can feel aroused. You can have fuctional relationship with no sex or sex including. You don’t need to have anyone to be happy. Just like have a family, child/children, husband/wife and be sometimes excited to be touched by your loved one(s). You can love or hate hugs. You can found someone attractive just INSIDE and be happy with it. Every demisexual it’s different. But still matters. Don’t ever think about to be ashemed by your sexuality. It’s your thing and NO ONE can’t say a shit about it.
Yeah, and I beat cancer when I was 17 by the way. And still not 100% healthy but living.
Thank for tagging and hope you found it interesting!
See you next time, maybe with my another Les Mis fanfiction!

Another film Where I Am Far from the Target Audience Yet            I admit that I have to credit an online article titled 10 Must See Movies For Screenwriters by Dave Trottier for giving me an idea to watch this The Player film (after I entered a google search of movies about screenwriters). The film has a multitude of celebrities in it; Whoopi Goldberg,  Gina Gershon,Anjelica Houston, Julia Roberts, Lyle Lovett, Cher, Fred Ward, Peter Gallagher,Dina Merrill, Andie Macdowell, Jeff Goldblum Bruce Willis, Jeremy Priven, Nick Nolte, Gary Busey, Teri Garr,Lily Tomlin, Burt Reynolds, Susan Sarandon, John Cusack, Richard Grant, Robert Dean Stockwell, and many more celebrity appearances. However, significant plot points of the film center around the character of Griffin Mill (Tim Robbins), a hotshot Hollywood Executive whose world is unintentionally turned upside down after he loses his temper with writer/author David Kahane (Vincent D’Onofrio). Griffin Mill is shown being pretty distant with a multiple number of even his professional colleagues. Even his girlfriend from work Bonnie Sherow (Cynthia Stevenson) is not treated much differently from Griffin’s coworkers. However, part of Griffin Mill’s humanity is exposed when he is seen communicating with June Gudmundsdottir (Greta Scachi). That sounds innocent enough until the viewer realizes that she was romantically connected to writer/author David Kahane. 100 Greatest '90s Alternative Songs Price: $0.00 A Worthwhile Collection To Listen To if You Like 90’s Rock Music, April 20, 2017 This review is from: 100 Greatest '90s Alternative Songs (MP3 Music)I unintentionally came across this music collection from Amazon’s playlist of 100 Greatest '90s Alternative Songs and I am very glad to have done so. This kindlebook of Writing with the Muse: A Guidebook to Conscious Creativity (Intuition University) by Sara Wiseman accidently came to me by lucky chance. I had seen the kindlebook for Demons of Confusion: Rituals To Hide the Truth, Create Confusion, and Conceal Your Actions by Corwin Hargrove. Even with my intuitive and logical awareness that it helps to integrate both knowledge from spiritual white light and darkness to strengthen my spiritual core, I did not yet feel ready to purchase that book. However, as my soul/spirit craves truth from non-biased  and non-judgmental sources, I fortunately came across this kindlebook of Writing With the Muse by Sara Wiseman as a way to help me gain clarity on my creativity as it pertains to my writing goals. Some of the one of a kind tidbits in this kindlebook; the three trances that she writes are the flow states for creative writing, ideally working by hand to keep a journal in relation to ideas for whatever medium of artistic creation that a person is undertaking as she also addresses artists and musicians, asking yourself if you are willing to press forward in your writing passion regardless of publishing outcome (an easy question for me to answer as I do feel called to writing regardless of the outcome even though I understand it may sound arrogant to others, yet I understand that others may only want to write with regards to a guarantee of profitable andor lucrative outcomes). I admit that I liked that Wiseman encouraged a person to give themselves permission to press on with a project deadline date in relation to one of the ideas in her container suggestion. This encouraging guidance was important for me to come across as I work to improve my writing for creative writing therapy as well while also simultaneously working on my employment goals. Wiseman also gives ideas for having containers open for smaller projects such as articles from magazines, doing art for fun, lyrics from songs etc.
Comment | Permalink Long Story Short: The Only Storytelling Guide You'll Ever Need Offered by Penguin Random House Publisher Services Price: $9.99 Candid and Helpful, April 21, 2017 Verified Purchase(What's this?)This review is from: Long Story Short: The Only Storytelling Guide You'll Ever Need (Kindle Edition)This kindlebook of Long Story Short: The Only Storytelling Guide You'll Ever Need by Margot Leitman captures some of the author’s experiences as it relates to her ideas for storytelling. Leitman also bluntly admits that some people wishing to spice up their writing may want to live a life in a way that is a little riskier without venturing too much in the danger zone. I admit that this advice was a splash of cold water to my face (metaphorically speaking) because I am blessed with an abundance of free time and a loving husband who is supportive of my writing goals. However, I am in the process of learning and implementing in taking risks in various areas of my life in a harm-free manner. Reitman also bluntly shares that some of the best writing comes from writers who have successfully found a way to put imperfections in their writings with just the right amount of happy scenarios/endings. Reitman politely gives examples of working with very religious people who wanted to create stories with very few imperfections in them. She tactfully explains that this in on the similar extreme of gifted writers who may want to only focus on the dark sides/challenging outcomes with benefiting from more positive outcome additions to their stories and more tidbits. I admit that I am still in the process of working on that angle due to my intuitive and logical awareness that the outcome to a person’s imperfections/flaws is sometimes indirectly influenced by how much outside the mainstream a writer/author is. In other words, even I know that two authors can expose similar imperfections in their writings, but the harsh truth is that I have picked up on and seen is that sometimes the person who is most celebrated for being true to themselves fits into the mainstream ideal in some way when it comes to their attractiveness, personality, intelligence, the family background that they came from etc. In contrast, I have seen examples of people who exposed their flaws in a harm-free manner and were not met with the same support from others in their circle (family, friends)and/orevenmisunderstood/demonized. Comment | Permalink Aftersight Price: $4.99 A Moving and Spiritual Story, April 21, 2017 Verified Purchase(What's this?)This review is from: Aftersight (Kindle Edition)I admit that it is too personal for me to share how I came across this Aftersight kindlebook by Brian Mercer. The Aftersight story shares how one young woman’s life was dramatically changed after a life changing car accident. Her sensitivity to the spiritual/afterlife realms are heightened yet her relationship with her parents is not the same after the incident. Her parents still love her, yet for example her dad admits to her that he would like his old daughter back that existed prior to the car accident. Comment | Permalink The Intern DVD Price: $9.99 I’m Far From the Target Audience For This Film Yet, April 21, 2017 Verified Purchase(What's this?)This review is from: The Intern (Amazon Video)I admit that I remember being intrigued to eventually watch the Intern film after seeing an article online related to some public relations managers being inspired by the Intern film to hire some older women in real-life as interns (women in their 40’s, 50’s etc.). I admit that this film metaphorically jumped out at me to eventually purchase and watch, which was well worth is for some of the multiple reasons; Anne Hathaway as the character Jules Ostin is shown in an empowering light doing her best to juggle her career and personal life with her husband Matt (Anders Holm) and daughter Paige (Jo Jo Kushner). Ostin is in charge of a successful/thriving business that adds on more people such as Ben Whitaker (Robert Deniro), Davis ( Zack Pearlman), Doris (Celia Weston) etc. Ben becomes popular at the workplace and is seen interacting a lot with Jules Ostin, Jason (Adam Devine), Becky (Christina Scherer) etc. Ben meets and is instantly smitten with the in house massage therapist Fiona (Rene Russo). One of Ben’s lady friends Patty (Linda Lavin) figures this out and expresses her reaction when Ben is shown taking Fiona to a funeral for the first date. Some of the multiple pop culture references in the film which I admit I noticed in the film due to my interest in advertising/marketing trends; JayZ and Beyonce referenced in the film, Stella Artois beer, Sammy Davis, Billy Holiday, Clancy, Harry Potter, Ocean’s film series starring Brad Pitt as Rusty Yates, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, snippets of a song featured in the film by KC and the Sunshine Band, snippets of a song being played by Busta Rhymes, Teddy’s Bar & Grill, a brief clip of the Singing in the Rain film etc. Comment | Permalink Buying the View Season 1 Price: $16.99 Fun To Watch, April 21, 2017 Verified Purchase(What's this?)This review is from: Buying the View Season 1 (Amazon Video)I admit that this series of Buying The View Season 1 caught my attention because it seemed similar to another show that I find to be fun to watch from the episodes that I have watched (Lottery Dream Home). The Weeknd] (MP3 Music)I admit that I was first exposed to this unique Lust For Life song by Lana Del Rey feat. the Weeknd less than 18 hours ago (via youtube). The music collaboration is very well coordinated (when it comes to the lyrics of Lana Del Rey and the Weeknd) and the futuristic lounge/electronic music makes it a very novel type of love song. I also like that the Lust For Life song has both a hopeful and happy-go-lucky vibe. It is a come hither/romantic type of song yet one of the positive features of the song is that it comes out in a imaginative love story type of tune. That’s What I Like by Bruno Mars is also perfect to listen to if you have liked andor enjoyed his Treasure song-it reminds me in an outstanding way of that song.
