Dreamers, are you ready for .Flow Week 2025 this coming February? Last run in 2023, .flow week is a 7-day event with daily prompts to encourage the creation of fan art, fics, music, moodboards, analysis posts, photography, poetry, etc.--anything and everything to celebrate .flow! It will run from February 15th through February 21st in honor of .flow's first release date (Feb 15th, 2009).

The event was originally created and run by @dotflowweek for many years--if you've never heard of it before, I totally recommend checking out the blog and seeing all the awesome stuff people made for past years! +u+

Ruins' Open Day is finally here, and Charmonroe is invited!

But Ai can't come.

The two are upset since both were looking forward to exploring the new technology, but electronics aren't allowed, and Ai has to use a device to travel with Charmonroe.

But that doesn't stop her from trying.

Ai contacts a friend of hers from one of the smaller islands in Ruins. They manage to get Ai access to the internet there, and Ai is able to hack some of the devices there to sneak into the Main Island for Open Day. She surprises Charmonroe, and the two look forward to spending the rest of their time together.

But that doesn't last long.

Soon, Ai's memory is hacked. Something else is trying to take over her consciousness - it's Glow. The Administrative AI found her and takes over her form. Glow uses this to contact Nikki and the others to come to the central tower. Ai is "unconscious" and waiting for someone to revive her.

But will they come in time?

Connections

-This chapter takes place right before the events of the Void Stardust hell event.

-In Vol. 2 Ch. 11, Nikki and friends go to Ruins' Open Day to find Mercury, and they ask Ai to help her find him. We learn in Caprico's story for Future Indicator that Mercury Group is coordinating with Glow and a secret team on their "special project" (Ideal City).

-Ai calls her Ruins friend Nicka - but since she is from Whale Island, and works with mechas, it's possible this is actually Netga, from Speedy Bunny.

Fun Facts

-Glow thinks emotions are unnecessary, but Ai recognizes them as the driving force behind why humans do what they do.

-Ai usually designs school uniforms. However, for Ruins' Open Day, she chooses a more scientific, streamlined uniform.

And one more from Nikki Doyle that I ran into during my reading (hopefully the last one unless people find and submit more), and from all evidence I've found across the comic and covers, the only conclusion I can draw is that Nikki's VR cheat power is that she can no clip her butt and torso when needed.

The Five Attributes In "Infinity Nikki"

So, a lot of fashion/dress-up games have attributes for each piece of clothing: simple, gorgeous, sexy, handsome, etc. In Shining Nikki, the predecessor to this game, the attributes are consolidated into five:

-Elegant, the gold attribute

-Fresh, the green attribute

-Sweet, the pink attribute

-Sexy, the purple attribute

-Cool, the blue attribute

In the lore, each attribute is connected to a different kind of beauty, and to an immortal being that served the God of Styling and Beauty. It's unclear if any of them are alive or still in Miraland at the time that Infinity Nikki starts.

However, the five attributes carry over into the new game.

The same attributes from Shining Nikki, just with different names. (They tie in with the lore from the Unicorn/Nightmare hell event, where they go into depth with each one.)

So, even if the God of Styling and their Five Envoys are gone, their power lives on in the future.
