your eyebrows furrowed at jungwon, who stood across from you. “you have got to be kidding me,” your arms crossed. he smiled sheepishly, “i’m sorry but this year, it’s your turn for the back seat.” the back seat which you’ve always avoided since every year niki sat back there. “jungwon, this trip is a four hour drive, you want me to sit next to him for four hours?” jungwon sighed at your question. “with the drivers rotating, you two don’t drive so it’s easier this way.” curse you for not having your drivers license.

“i am not happy about this,” your arms crossed as you plopped down on your couch. jungwon sat next to you, resting his head on your shoulder. “it’s only for the ride there, you can manage yeah? just take your headphones.” you sighed and nodded, “i’m only doing this for you and the others, don’t expect a peep out of me.” jungwon smiled at your words, knowing there was no way you’d keep quiet against niki.

the days leading up to the road trip, you tried your hardest to avoid niki. key word tried, he always finds a way to get under your skin. whether its taking your seat while out to eat, or cutting you off in line at the mall. it never failed to get a rise out of you. the boys could practically predict what the two of you’d say to each other.

“at least say excuse me, you gremlin,” jake mocked you. “move, you always take to long anyway,” sunoo was quick to mock niki’s response. they of course never did this in front of you two, afraid of even more warfare. despite how funny the arguments could be, they also got quite annoying. the constant bickering was enough to have the group want to rip their hair out.

niki was in no better spirits about having to share his precious back seat with you. he barely liked to share with the guys but to have you back there? the boy wanted to just unpack and not even go. “it’s not that bad,” jake said watching niki angrily shove the remaining items he had into his bag. “it is that bad actually, she’s insufferable. how can i sit next to her for four hours?” niki looked at jake with furious eyes. “look if you drove then maybe you’d be better off, but it’s easier this way”, jake shrugged. niki seriously needed to get his license, he rolled his eyes. “see you in the morning man, just take your headphones and ignore her i guess”, he patted niki’s shoulder before leaving.

you were the last stop before they could go on the road. niki was already annoyed. he only had his wired headphones, the car they rented had a small back seat, so he’d be even closer to you then he wanted to be. he rolled his eyes watching you stumble to the car with your bags. his eyes followed jungwon who jumped out to help you. the trunk opened and jungwon placed your bag in the back, handing you your smaller one. “thank you wonnie,” you grinned, hugging him. “you’re welcome.” he opened the sliding door to let you in.

in the second row sat, jay and jake. the middle was occupied by sunoo and sunghoon. heeseung was driving and jungwon had the passenger seat. “hi everyone,” you greeted them before climbing into the very back seat. niki furrowed his eyebrows when you finally sat down, your shoulder brushing his slightly.

with the reduced space, your legs and shoulders were touching his. niki began bouncing his leg, the annoyance of sitting next to you already bothering him. you looked at him, you wanted to scold him for bouncing his leg, but you remained calm for everyone’s sake. once heeseung checked that everyone was ready he began driving.

everyone was conversing amongst themselves, you tried to occupy yourself on your phone, by looking out the window. niki was like a statue next to you, besides his leg that was still bouncing. you leaned up, propping your head on the back of the middle row seat. “hi,” sunoo giggled seeing your head pop up between himself and sunghoon. “hi,” you grinned.

he motioned with his head, “doing okay back there?” you sighed,” i guess so,” niki let out a groan shifting away from you causing you to fall back from the seat. “stop leaning against me,” niki snapped. “spoke to soon,” you whispered to sunoo before returning to your seat. “sorry jeez,” you scoffed, leaning away from him as far as you could. niki rolled his eyes at you.

a few minutes had passed, you subconsciously began tapping your fingers against your leg. to whatever beat you had in your head, niki clenched his jaw at the rhythmic pattern. it was unbelievably irritating, “can you not?” he asked. you turned to him confused, “what?” he rolled his eyes, “stop tapping your fingers it’s annoying.” you narrowed your eyes at him, “yeah? well so are you bouncing your leg but i didn’t say anything.”

he rolled his eyes and stilled his leg, you smirked slightly before stopping the tapping. you laid your head against the window, feeling sleepy. however the small bumps the car hit were uncomfortable. your smaller bag only had a few things in it, not holding the small stuffed animal you were looking for. it was a small bear, you’ve had since childhood you literally always bring with you. turning so you could reach in the trunk, your body kept bumping into niki. the boy groaned, “what are you doing now? can’t you just sit still?,” he tried to scoot away from you. “i was looking for something,” you grumbled clutching the bear and turning to sit back down. “seriously?” niki noticed the bear you were now holding.

“that could of waited,” he snapped. “i’m going to use him as a pillow, it’s..you know what, i don’t have to explain myself to you.” you placed the bear in a spot to cushion your head. niki scoffed and adjusted in his spot. his leg pushing into yours, “could you maybe not be a dude and save me some room,” you asked pushing his leg back over with yours. “i can’t help it,” his eyes rolled. that’s all his eyes ever did when he looked at you. “we have to stop for gas, if anyone wants snacks or to stretch their legs,” heeseung spoke. once he pulled into the gas station everyone piled out of the car. your arms stretched above your head, a soft groan falling from your lips. goosebumps covered your skin as a chill breeze went by. “can i borrow a hoodie, anyone?” you spoke. they all nodded saying to just grab one from the back. opening the trunk you dug through the bags until you came across what you were looking for. pulling out a large gray zip up hoodie, you smiled once the sleeves covered your cold arms. jungwon came bouncing out of the gas station with a bag full of snacks. “here y/n,” he said, handing you a bag of skittles and a bottle of sprite. “thank you wonnie,” he smiled and got into the passenger seat.

you dreaded sitting next to him again, but everyone was ready to get back on the road. niki had his head turned away from you when you got in. your chest tightened but you refused to let him get to you. “can you scooch over a little bit?,” you asked, squeezing into your seat. his leg was partially on your side. he let out a scoff before pulling leg closer to his side. taking your seat, you pulled your hood up and leaned against the window. niki’s eyes drifted to the hoodie you were wearing, his hoodie. he felt his heart pounding against his chest, you looked so good in his clothes. sunoo turned towards you, holding out his bag of gummie worms, “want some?” you nodded reaching into the bag and grabbing two. “thank you,” you grinned.

niki was silent, a storm was brewing inside him. he didn’t think it was fair that you got along so well with the boys. why couldn’t you get along with him like that? why did you two hate each other so much? truth is neither of you could pinpoint any moment that could of caused the mutual feeling of hate between you both. “riki would you like a gummie worm?” sunoo asked holding the bag out to him. niki looked at it seeing no blue left, then he noticed the blue gummie worm in your hand. “no someone already took the last good flavor,” he huffed. your eyebrows furrowed and you handed the gummie worm to him, “here,” his eyes widened as he stared at it. part of him wanted to take it, he didn’t know what caused him not to. “i don’t want it after you’ve had it in your hand,” he grabbed a red one from sunoo before turning to ignore the both of you.

sunoo turned back around to ignore the brewing argument, but you shrugged and said nothing. trying your best to not fight with him.

it wasn’t long before another fight broke out. the bouncing of his leg? a fight. the tapping of your nails? a fight. sunoo pointing out you were wearing niki’s hoodie? a fight. “y/n isn’t that riki’s?,” sunoo pointed towards the gray hoodie on your body. you looked towards the hoodie and shrugged, “yeah i guess so i just grabbed one,” your eyes quickly glanced at niki who had a scowl on his face. “maybe ask before wearing someone else's clothes,” his voice was cold.

“but i did, i asked to borrow a hoodie.” you were quick to defend yourself. “well you didn’t ask to borrow mine so why are you wearing it?” his eyebrows were furrowed. you turned towards niki, angry. “why are you so upset about it? it’s just a hoodie, i’ll take it off. i’m trying to be nice but you’re being a prick,” your hands reached for the zipper pulling it off and tossing it towards him.

your perfume filled his senses as he folded the hoodie and set it beside him. his heart was racing for many different reasons, the glances from the boys made him more angry. “no one wants you here anyway, so of course i’m being a prick,” niki seethed. “i’ll have you know the boys want me here, otherwise i wouldn’t of been invited,” niki laughed. “you’re only here because they pity you, because you cling to them—to everyone like an abandoned puppy. nobody wants you here.”

it felt like your heart stopped. “riki that’s not true,” sunoo spoke up. you drown them out turning towards the window ignoring the boys attempts to speak to you, ignoring niki’s longing glance. his own heart wrenching as he caught sight of the tears welling in your waterline. he put his headphones in and turned towards his window. the familiar sounds of his alternative playlist playing. his leg continued to bounce yet this time you were dead silent. ignoring him all together, he hated to admit it but he missed the attention.

what felt like hours passed before niki couldn’t take it anymore. he plucked one of his earbuds out, handing it to you. you looked at the earbud, then up at him. he wasn’t looking at you, but the thought of hearing music was better than whatever silence your latest fight had caused. swallowing the lump in your throat, you placed the earbud in your ear.

the familiar lyrics of ‘if i’m james dean, you’re audrey hepburn’ filled your ears. your eyes widened not expecting niki to share the same music taste as you. taking the risk you scooted closer to him, to shorten the length of the headphone wire. he let out a deep breath, relaxing his body resting closer to yours.

niki took the peace between you as his chance to apologize. the car intensely quiet, he didn’t trust his voice to come out as a whisper. niki’s hand wrapped softly around your wrist, pulling your arm towards him. he waited to see if you’d pull away, when you didn’t he took a breath. using his finger he carefully spelled out ‘i’m sorry. your breath was caught in your throat, as your heart was hammering against your chest. niki stopped spelling but his hand remain on your wrist, his fingers itching to lace with yours.

taking a chance you opened your hand, palm up. niki was quick to lace his fingers in yours. the song continues between the two of you. sealing your feelings for each other. you leaned your head against his shoulder, your body relaxing against his. niki sighed contently resting his head on yours, his hand holding yours like you’d disappear if he let go.

your relationship was far from mended, the two of you were content with the comforting silence you created. the music and movement of the car was enough to lull both of you to sleep.

in the front seat jake and jungwon shared a knowing look, jungwon grinning knowing he purposely took your headphones. jake smirked knowing their plan worked, and they’re friendcation would be peaceful afterall.

y/n’s perspective 

I chose a card… I knew it wasn't from Niki, Jake, nor Jungwon. But it had to be from Jay or Sunoo most likely from Sunoo since he was the romantic. I hate that I knew some of them. But the message won me over.

When we first met I felt drawn to love at first sight.  I loved you then and I love you now, I’ll always be there to lift you up even if you don't want me there. I want to be the only one to cherish and love you. To die and live for you and only you. So I can only dream you would do that for me. 

The masquerade was in a week and I couldn't wait. 

“Hello, lovely soulmate!” I heard as I saw Jake. “A rose for you” he said and I smiled. All of them were on a mission to have me choose them. “How kind of you” I said and he smiled as he kissed my hand. 

“You're trying too hard” I heard as I saw Sunghoon and Jake groaned. “Dude go away!” Jake said and Sunghoon rolled his eyes.

“y/n come on let's get away from this freak!” he said and Jake looped his arm around me. “Where are we going then?” he challenged and the two glared at each other. 

“Both of you are pathetic, did you forget you had a meeting with Wonyoung? Jake, you also have a meeting with the treasurers” Jungwon said and they groaned. 

“Bye y/nnie!” they yelled. 

“How are you doing my love?” he asked and I smiled. “Good and you, Wonnie?” I asked and he smiled as he put his arms around my waist and kissed my forehead. “Better when I'm around you, this masquerade thing is a lot of work,” he said and I nodded as I hugged him back.

“I know but it'll be fun, '' I said and he chuckled. “It'll be fun if you choose me,” he said and I smiled. “Even if I don't won't you save me a dance?” I asked and he nodded. “Even if you don't, I'll steal you away,” he said, making me chuckle.

“Love birds, ugh” I heard and saw Wonyoung gagging. 

“Back to work for both of you!”

heeseung’s perspective

“We are not changing colors,” Jungwon said. Riverfield and Decelis had similar colors which led to an argument between councils.

“Those are our colors, you guys can choose black and gray like the colors of your ancestors!” Taki suggested even if it was a joke it made me scoff. 

“Blue and Gold don't even suit Decelis'” K said and I rolled my eyes. He was getting on my nerves… while my naive mate that I rejected didn't believe that he had a crush on her I do. His thoughts were annoying and filled with envy… whilst my oblivious princess was stupid enough to beg for his hand. 

“Why don't we just choose a color, we can have gold and you guys blue?” Jungwon tried reasoning and whilst EJ nodded– “No” K interrupted. “K it's a good compromise–” “Those are our colors, why should we let the vampires have that?” he said stubbornly. “But gray and black aren't even our colors either, '' Sooha pouted. 

“I think it's a good compromise, we can do navy blue,'' EJ suggested. “We could go gold and white,” Jungwon said and they agreed. 

K however didn't let his thoughts go…

The meeting was dismissed when they finally left our council room. “Why did it matter so much?” Sooha asked. “We are rivals,” Jake suggested. “It's also a school’s pride,” Jungwon added. 

“So how’s the soulmate thing going for you guys?” Sooha asks and I sometimes wish she would shut up.

“She’s amazing! Tomorrow we're going to the city where she wants to show me another witch spot” Jake said and I refrained from scoffing. He made it a habit to eat with her… for some reason, it helped him with control.

“Ooh! I wanna go!” Sunoo said with a grin. He accepted her second and he was completely whipped for her.

“You need to be event planning” Jungwon scolded… the first one to be accepted by her.

“Don’t you think you’ve made a big enough enemy out of Wonyoung? You're constantly stealing her away” Sunghoon said… someone who used her, but for some reason she forgave him. 

“He has nothing else better to do” Jay joked… he wasn’t even romantically involved with her… yet Despite his wishes for it going slow and starting off as platonic was getting more and more romantically interested as he saw how her other soulmates kiss and dote on her. 

“He should be helping me with the Decelis final game,” Niki said… another one who first accepted her, and went against me but fixed their relationship. 

“I'm jealous… you guys look so happy with her. K still hasn't accepted me… and she doesn't want anything to do with me” Sooha said and they all sighed. Thoughts running around about K and how he had to get his act together which I agreed with. 

“At this point why not go with Heeseung?” Sunoo suggested and I refrained from glaring or scoffing. Sooha looked at me with sad eyes and I tried my best to give her a genuine smile. 

“Will you?” she asked and I wanted to say no… “Sure”

I was making it my way to her to deliver papers when I overheard voices. 

“Yeah, so Jungwon and EJ agreed that we keep our colors and they’ll–” “They agreed to split up the colors, we didn't agree on keeping black and red” I interrupted as I opened the door. 

I noticed her confused expression while looking at K for confirmation. Innocent and naive… 

“K?” she asked and he turned his attention to her and smiled softly. “We really did. Don’t tell me you believe him or me?” he asked and I scoffed. 

She looked at me confused… 

“I just don’t understand…” she said. “EJ and Jungwon both agreed to split up the colors, they'd get navy blue and we’d get gold and white,” I said and K shook his head. “We agreed Declis would have vampire colors, black and red,” K said, completely lying. 

“But Declis doesn't use red or black?” she asked now confused but looking at K for confirmation. “It's the colors of vampires–” “He’s a liar, I understand not to believe me but ask Jungwon yourself or any of your soulmates,” I said and she looked at K. 

“K… are you lying to me? Do I have to go to EJ?” she asked in a soft tone and he sighed. “You understand right? Bright Sun’s colors are gold and orange, it classifies too much” he tried saying and she looked at me confused. 

“I just don't understand why you'd lie?” she asked and he scoffed.

“You really believe him? The same vampire who rejected you day one?” he asked, now angry. His thoughts swirl of betrayal and begging her to take his side. 

“Well… me and Heeseung may not have a good friendship but he’s respected me and never lied about council work. Or at least not that I know of…” she said and I was glad she trusted me even a little bit. “Besides, we agreed on these terms… Why are you trying to go behind everyone’s back?” she asked and he sighed. 

“Forget it… I get it, even though he rejected you, you’ll still follow him around like a fool” he said as he stormed off. I looked at her to see she was confused and shocked… 

“Uhm… I'm sorry about that” she apologized and I shook my head. “Thank you for trusting me, I–” “Though I know you’ve lied to me in the past, I want to clear that just because I trusted you now that I might not in the future,” she said and I nodded. 

I did lie to her in the past… with Jungwon and Sunoo. Even with Jay… so why lie to K?

“I’ll handle this, thank you” 

K was acting strange… he was also getting more annoying and out of bounds. He was crossing the line with her and with her soulmates. So why was he trying so hard to get her when knowing Sooha would be happy to accept him? 

It was now getting out of hand that he was interfering with her when she was happy. 

I made my way to HYBE academy where I tried to find someone to give me advice. “Oh? Heeseung, looking for your sister?” I heard and I saw Jeonghan-hyung. I nodded when he seemed to laugh at me… “She’s been out of hand with the council,” he said and I sighed. “With her soulmates?” I asked and he nodded. “She’s in the council room with one of them,” he said as he waved and left. 

I went to the council room when I heard yelling… 

“Who do you think you are?!” I saw… a dragon as I opened the door. She smiled at me with that dangerous deceitful smile. “Heeseung! Do you do anything?” she asked, ignoring the man beside her. He seemed to scoff and glare at me.

“I wanted to talk but if you are–” “Oh? You can talk to me any time, Hee. Jongho, it was a pleasure with this conversation but I'm needed,” she said as she looped her arm around me and smiled at him as we left. 

“He seems as hateful as his past life,” I said and she chuckled. “He hated me then and still hates me now. Nothing new” she said and I knew she wanted to change her fate with them but deep inside she still hated them just the same. 

“So… is this about your soulmate?” she asked and I nodded. “Hmm. I saw her with Jake… seems like they were close” she said and I scoffed… I still couldn't believe she’d forgive him even while she changed those bandages, seeing that burn on her neck. A reminder of what he did for another woman. 

“You’re an idiot. You love her… love at first sight. Not even Sooha has done that for you, so why do you keep pushing her away?” she asked and I didn’t know anymore. 

“You have no reason to push her away. They’ve accepted her… you're just being stubborn and self-destructive” She was right. She always was… 

“When you… first met them. You didn’t love them, you kept them as pawns… what's different now dear sister” I teased and she sighed. “The mate bond does wonders… I wanted so badly to succumb to it then. So it's hard to finally let me feel love for them” she said and I nod. 

“It’s our pride,” she said and I chuckled. 

“We really haven't changed, have we?” I asked and she smiled. 

“No… we really haven't my dear familiar” 

y/n’s perspective 

“I don’t know why he’s acting this way… I'm sorry for how he’s been behaving” he apologized and I sighed. “I just don’t understand… I thought at first it was a joke, a lie, but I didn’t expect him to genuinely have a crush on me” I said and he sighed. “I don’t think he does… I think he just doesn’t want to accept Sooha for fear she’ll regret it” EJ explained and I sighed. 

“But… to fight with Heeseung? Why?” I was confused by both boys' behavior. I heard a knock when Sangyeon popped in. He offered a smile and gave me files. “I know it's rude… but I overheard, '' he said and I sighed. “Don’t worry–” “But, I may not understand mate customs but… sometimes guys will settle with people who they think can offer them comfort. It seems like K and you understood each other on some sort of level” he offered and I did. 

“I was also going to ask, how was the masquerade going to work?” he asked and I smiled. “Uhm. We’ll have masks for our class offered to the school. So the colors of our school for example yours were Red, right? You will be given a mask of the design of your choice to use, it's the same thing with the telegrams you have to use your class card. So IST Academy has the logo and the color red. You can write to someone asking them to meet with you” I explain and he nods. 

“I didn’t expect to get any, let alone from different classes,” he confessed and I chuckled. “A lot of the council members actually got a bunch of them. Wonyoung alone gets one each hour” I said and he laughed. 

“Did you decide on one already?” he asked and I nodded. “I hope for your own sake, it's your mate” EJ said and I chuckled. 

It couldn’t be anyone else. 

heeseung’s perspective

As I made it back inside, walking the hallways I noticed yelling. “Watch where you're going!” I heard… Jake? “Me? What about you, just cause you’re up and cozy with y/n you think you–" "Shut up!” Jake yelled now pissed as he grabbed his collar and I sighed. 

I could see Jake was close to swinging and turning violent. “Jake, let him go,” I said and he glared at me. “I did nothing wrong–” ��I know, but you should be a bigger person. Something he should learn from” I said and he laughed and let me peel him away from the wolf who scoffed. 

“A bigger person would never harm his mate–” “A bigger person wouldn’t chase another’s mate,” I said and scoffed. “You’re a hypocrite Lee Heeseung,” he said and I rolled my eyes. 

“No, I'm not… I’ve never been in a romantic relationship or tried with your mate. I may have rejected mine, but I didn’t for another person” I said and he looked confused. My actions… didn’t show it but it was true. 

“Stop picking fights with council members… y/n wouldn’t like hearing that you hurt Jake or any of them,” I said and he scoffed and walked away. 

“Thanks… for actually taking my side,” Jake said and I sighed. “You weren’t in the wrong this time,” I said and he scoffed. “What's that supposed to mean?!” he yelled and I laughed. “Just don’t get into too much trouble,” I teased and he laughed. 

“You know I missed this Heeseung,” he said and I sighed. “Jake?” I said and he looked at me with a smile. He really was improving, he was also happy. 

“I’m sorry for being such a bastard these last few months”

We went back to the dorm when I saw them all… just how long did it take them to join sides? 

“Jake, are you okay?” I heard Jay ask him, seeing that he was a bit roughed up. “Oh? Yeah, just K being a jealous dog” he said and I laughed. 

“Heeseung helped me though… K seems to listen to you more” he said and I shrugged. “Heeseung is not being a jerk for once?” Jay teased and I glared. “Oh shut up,” I said and he laughed. 

“So you're back to normal? Got the stick out of your ass?” Sunghoon said and I scoffed. “I wouldn’t talk so lightly, Sunghoon,” I said and he laughed. 

“Why have you been such a jerk recently?” Sunoo asked and I sighed. “Do you know how… I told you guys I was a witch?” I said and they nodded. “I went to the younger sister school of Bright Sun. For the one for kids, I shared a class with a girl named l/n y/n”

I was happy that I finally seemed to be on good terms with them now. 

Now they seemed to understand my behavior and I admit how much of a bastard I was to them. How mean and cruel I acted… but everything was okay. Just like it was before, just with the girl I used to have a crush on. Who knew she was my soulmate?

I made it to the view of the ocean where I saw K. 

“You really need to let go of your insecurities,” I said and he noticed me there. “Go–” “You need to fix it… send Sooha that card you wrote, sign your name and she’ll come running to you” I said and he didn’t say anything. 

“I wrote a letter to y/n, not Sooha,” he said and I sighed. “It's impossible to lie to K. You did send her a letter but she won’t choose it… she organized all the piles and didn’t even read any confession that didn’t come from Decelis,” I said and he knew it was true. 

“You don’t like her… you’re just jealous she’s happy,” I said and he chuckled. “How can I ever be with Sooha when you're around?” he asked and I sighed. “Sooha doesn’t like me, and I don’t like her. I have to bite my tongue from telling her how stupid and naive she’s being to my mate. But love blinds you K, and nothing more important than the person you love” I said and he only stared at me. 

“Why… are you speaking as if you love her? You rejected her first…” he said and I chuckled.

“Because I loved her even before I died”

ICE CREAM 

Roza, Jungwon and Niki were at Hybe getting ready to do a live for engenes when Niki started looking through the fridges for something sweet to eat. “They don't have anything!” Roza giggled as a pout overtook Niki’s face. “You'll live without a treat!” Roza jokingly scolded. “No you don't understand Noona! I need an ice cream!” Niki dramatically said back. “After our live, I'll buy you one”. “Why not one now!”. “Can you really not wait?”. “Please Noona” Niki begged as he tried his best aegyo without laughing. “Fine… only because you're too cute! Jungwon you too, come on”. Both younger boys followed along happily. 

They soon arrived at the convenient store and they began looking for what treats to get. “Noona, can I get this one?”. Roza looked over as Niki was pointing at one of the more expensive ice creams. “Do you really need it?”. “Yes, pleaseee!!” Niki shouted a little too loudly. “Okay yes, omg! Don't embarrass me…”. Niki laughed at her reaction before reaching into the freezer to grab his ice cream. Roza and Jungwon also grabbed an ice cream before Roza paid and the trio left back to the Hybe building. 

After getting back they set up the camera and started the live as they opened their ice creams. “Hello Engenes!! How are you guys!” Jungwon started. “What flavors are your ice creams? Ummm… mine is chocolate!” Jungwon replied to a fan. “Mine is strawberry!” Roza continued. “Mine’s also chocolate!”. “Roza Noona brought us this because Niki kept begging”. “I did not beg,” Niki said back defensively. “No you definitely did” Roza said giggling. “No, I asked nicely, I didn't beg”. “If i remember correctly you had a big pout on your face before begging me to buy you a treat!” Niki, getting shy and unable to deny it, just turned his back hiding his face from the camera. “Ya, Niki’s getting shy!” Jungwon laughed as fan comments went wild. “Whatever, yes I begged, big deal” Niki laughed as they finished their ice creams.

PHOTOSHOOT

Niki is known for favoring the right side of his face. He said he thinks the right side of his face is better. As Enhypen were getting ready for their photo shoot. “Noona, you look cool!” Niki said as he admired Roza's outfit. “Thanks, you look pretty cool too! Like your left side”. Niki quickly turned his face so his right side was showing. “Omg, don't be silly Niki, you look just as good!”. “No, my right side is definitely better!”. “How? your face is perfect”. 

Though he didn't agree, the small smile he was fighting gave away how he was feeling. “Sure Noona… if that's what you think” Niki said before walking away as it was his turn for his photoshoot. The photos were turning out great and Niki was getting into it. “Wooo, you look great!” Niki looked behind the camera to see Roza smiling as she hyped him up. His face turns red and he tries fighting his smile once again.

CRYING 

Niki rarely cried, most often he cried in secret. But one person he felt comfortable crying in front of was Roza, the first time he cried in front of her he didn't plan on doing so. The members had just gotten back from their concert and were resting in their hotel Rooms. Niki was sitting in his room, tired but not able to sleep. He sat in his thoughts, his mind running a million miles a minute. The overwhelming feeling takes over as he starts to feel tears come to his eyes. Niki hated feeling overwhelmed, he wasn't great with emotions and coming to terms with them was even harder. 

A knock took Niki out of his bubble. “One second!” quickly wiping his eyes and taking a breath before opening the door. “Oh, Noona!”. Roza stood at the door. “Hey, I was wondering if you wanna order food?”. “Oh sure…”. Roza walking in behind Niki, immediately noticed something was up. “You okay?”. “What… yeah, I'm fine!”. Sitting down next to Roza, he suddenly feels the tears coming back. Roza watched as Niki faced away from her, hiding his face. 

“You can always talk to me…” Roza whispered, trying to comfort Niki. The tears flowing feely, Niki felt embarrassed. “Hey, it's okay!” Roza said as she wrapped her arms around him. Feeling the comforting presence wrap around him, the tears came full force. “I don't know what's wrong? I just feel overwhelmed…” he whispered into her shoulder. “And that's okay! We're under a lot of pressure. It's hard to not feel overwhelmed”. “Do you feel overwhelmed a lot Noona?” Niki said, pulling back and watching her. “All the time! But the best thing to do when you feel overwhelmed is to talk about it” Roza’s hand coming up to wipe Niki’s leftover tears. 

“Yeah… I guess you're right..” he giggled, getting shy. “Don't get shy on me now!” Roza said, giving Niki another hug. “Now that you've seen me cry I'm gonna have to kill you!” Niki joked as Roza smacked his arm. “No  but really, I think I can only cry in front of you now”. “That's okay… I'll happily take all your tears!” Niki felt his cheeks hurt as he couldn't hide his smile. “We should probably order food?”. “Oh right, I forgot that's why I was here!”

*later that week*

Roza and Heeseung were on a live when she briefly mentioned that Niki had cried in front of her. "you're lying, Niki never cries". "He did, i swear!". Heeseung surprised to hear that Niki cried in front of the girl. "okay, i guess that makes sense but still i surprised". "to be honest i should have not told you but that's to late... whoops".

After a long day of schedules the members were on their way back to their dorm. Jake was sitting in the front filming a en-log while Niki was sitting in the back next to Roza who was on her phone playing some games. Feeling tired, Niki leaned his head on Roza’s shoulder and closed his eyes.

Roza instinctively placed her hand on his head and began to play with his hair. Almost immediately Niki began to drift and shortly after fell asleep. Looking over, Roza smiled at Niki’s face as he slept. She pulled out her phone quickly, snapping a picture to remember this cute moment.

It's weird when he not.  Niki, Roza and Jay were in the middle of a live when Roza got up to go to the bathroom. Jay noticed the subtle pout on Niki's face. “She'll be back soon! You'll be okay” He joked as Niki hid his smile. “Stop… I don't care if she is gone”. “Really? Okay, whatever you say” He said before going back to reading comments. 

Soon Roza came back in and Jay decided to tease Niki. “Niki missed you while you were gone!”. “Did you”. “No.. I didn't care that you were gone…” Roza laughed at his response. “Okay…” she said moving closer to Jay as the pout unknowingly took over his face again. “Look at you, you're pouting!”. Niki, suddenly aware of his pout, quickly denied. “No I wasn't! I wasn’t…”. “Sure you weren't..” Roza and Jay laughed as Niki turned from them to hide his blushing cheeks.

"Jake, leave any fingerprints on my windows and I'll make sure your face gets imprinted as well," Jay issued a stern warning before pulling out of the parking spot. Niki couldn't help but chuckle, which earned him a playful smack from Jake. Niki winced but retaliated by giving Jake a light punch.

"I wasn't even going to!" Jake protested. "And hey, you wanted me to come along to Mocha! I wasn't even going to go with you guys anyways..."

"Actually, Niki wanted you to go—not me," Jay clarified calmly, his eyes fixed on the road. Before Jake could offer another rebuttal, Jungwon gently tapped his arm, signaling for him to calm down.

"I thought you loved Mocha?" Sunghoon raised an eyebrow, still absorbed in his phone.

"Come on—we all know the reason why Jake loves Mocha, it's because of her. But now she's gone..." Sunoo's voice trailed off when Jake shot him a sharp glare, effectively silencing him.

"Hey Jake, don't sulk—maybe she'll be there," Heeseung tried to reassure him, though he knew it might not work. Jake pouted, sinking further into his seat. "Why would she be there? Even the staff said she quit..."

"Be an optimist!" Niki exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air for no apparent reason.

"You're not thou—" Niki's hand ended up covering Jungwon's mouth, causing Jungwon to mumble protests through his fingers.

"Stop arguing—we'll be at Mocha soon," Jay interjected, and the heated chatter gradually subsided as he resumed driving. Jake stared out the window, sighing heavily. He was only going to get a cup of coffee, so why was he hung up on you? You were just an ordinary girl working at a cafe, so why did he harbor such strong feelings for you?

He wished he knew.

"We're here," Jay announced as he pulled into an empty parking lot, and the rest of the guys prepared to exit the car. They all entered the cafe, scanning for an available table before considering their drink and food orders.

"Who's going to get the drinks and other food items? Or are we each getting our own drinks?" Heeseung inquired, glancing around at the crowd of people seated.

"I'll go with Jake. Just message me all the drinks and desserts you guys want," Sunoo volunteered, already getting up from his seat. Jake was on the verge of objecting when Sunoo whisked him away, earning a resigned sigh from Jake. The two of them joined the line, patiently waiting their turn.

"It's quite busy today," Sunoo remarked, smiling as he observed the bustling cafe.

Jake raised an eyebrow, asking, "What are you smiling about?"

"Nothing," Sunoo muttered as the line slowly progressed, and people ahead of them placed their orders. As they reached the front, it was now Jake and Sunoo's turn to order for everyone.

Jake squinted his eyes, spotting an oddly familiar figure at the cafe. He watched as the person turned around, and his eyes widened in surprise—it was you. Wait, didn't you quit?

A gasp escaped Jake's lips, but Sunoo quickly pinched him. "Hey! You're in a public space!" Sunoo scolded Jake, who was still in a state of shock.

"But... you told me she was a goner?!" Jake whisper-shouted, taking another look at you. You stood there, puzzled by the sudden change in his behavior.

"So... are you both going to order?" You asked awkwardly, unsure of why Jake seemed so taken aback. Sunoo gave Jake another smack on the arm, prompting him to clear his throat.

"Oh, yeah," Jake replied, giving out all the orders efficiently. Once he had finished, he made an effort to move closer to the front, leaning in to whisper to you, "You didn't quit your job...? Sorry if that's a bit rude to ask."

You were clearly puzzled. You had just taken a day off—what did he mean by you quitting? "Um... no? I never did... why?"

"But the workers here told me you quit..." Jake's voice held a note of confusion.

"Really?" You couldn't help but chuckle in disbelief, finally piecing together that Jake had been at the cafe yesterday, and your colleagues had managed to convince him that you had quit your job. You were torn between being upset with your friends for spreading the misinformation and feeling a strange sense of happiness that Jake seemed devastated by your absence, as if he had been waiting for you.

"Well... no, I didn't. I just took a day off. Why—did you miss me?" you responded, watching as Jake became flustered. Sunoo couldn't contain his amusement, covering his mouth to stifle his laughter.

"Well... yeah," Jake admitted quietly, earning a laugh from you at the candid moment. "That's cute," you teased, leaving Jake with a reddened face.

"We'll be going now," Sunoo rescued Jake from any further embarrassment, giving you a secret thumbs-up behind Jake's back.

Yeah, it was clear that Jake was definitely down bad, and it seemed like your unexpected day off had sparked something between you two.

But, most importantly, you had to question your co-workers that made Jake believe in such a lie.

# Heeseung 

You tried to wake him up. Keyword, tried. There was no waking this man up. Even when you jumped on top of him, your full body weight just resting on him, he didn’t even move. After several minutes of trying to wake him up by jumping and shaking him, you finally gave up and in the end just kissed his cheek. And then he opened his eyes. 

“I was really awake the entire time. I just wanted to you to give me a kiss to wake me up.” And then you continued to scold him for the next half hour. Heeseung is definitely a tease. 

# Jay 

He would be so done with you. Right as you jumped on him, you would hear a low groan then see his eyes open into a glare at you. He would yank the blankets above his head making you fall to his side. You tell him you just wanted breakfast and he would slowly pull the blankets from his head. 

“Go get it yourself then. I’m sleepy.” Then before you could even protest, you heard his little snores so you decided to just find something to eat yourself. And you learned to not ever wake Jay up. 

# Jake 

Jake would be startled. His eyes would shoot open and he would jump up, looking around the room until his eyes landed on you and he would sigh in relief. He’ll pinch your nose bridge, not too hard, and lay back down, shaking his head. 

“You’re so naughty. Could you not have waken me up in a more normal way?” 

# Sunghoon

Sunghoon rethinks life decisions as you so playfully woke him up, whining for him to get up and play with you. He stays silent no matter what you do, just staring off into the distance. He rubs his eyes, finally looking at you who was already wide awake. 

“Why am I dating an adult child?” He asked you to which you shrugged and continued shaking him until he eventually got up to do something with you. 

# Sunoo

This was a normal routine between the two of you. Waking up each other normally and sweetly? No, you jumped on each other to wake the other up. So Sunoo doesn’t even blink. He just pushes you off of him and onto the other side of the bed. He lifts his hand up to pinch your cheek with a small smile, his eyes still closed. 

“Five more minutes...” He would mumble and you shook your head, reminding him that he had already said five more minutes three times already. And so you continued to annoy him until he finally woke up.

# Jungwon

He would be a little startled, blinking several times to make sense of what was happening. Once he figured out it was just you being mischievous again, he smiled, shaking his head before jumping up and tickling you scaring you this time. You guys would have a tickling battle for the next ten minutes, fully waking Jungwon up. 

“You’re so silly, but next time maybe wake me up with a kiss or something sweet like that, hm?” No, he knew what he got himself into when you guys first started dating. That wasn’t going to happen and he knew it. 

# Niki

He won’t even flinch. He’ll Just wrap his arms and body around you, turning you around so that you were smushed into the sheets and he was on top of you, his head resting in the crook of your neck.

 “I’m not waking up right now, so don’t fight it.” He would say in his deep, morning voice. As much as you wanted to protest, his body was tightly wrapped around yours so you couldn’t do much about it as he was much stronger than you.

Third person POV

The day had been terrible for (Y/n), she had barely slept during the night because of nightmares, during the morning she felt sick so she didn’t eat any breakfast, which in turn, only made her more sick later on in the day. During dance practice (Y/n) kept messing up and the instructors yelled at her for being so “unprofessional”, the boys were worried and Jungwon tried talking to her but she just said “It’s nothing, my legs just don’t want to cooperate with me today,” The boys all felt uneasy but trusted that (Y/n) would tell them if something was actually wrong. During vocal practice (Y/n) kept straining her voice because she was so exhausted that she couldn’t breathe correctly. “(Y/n), if you’re not going to take this seriously you can leave today’s practice. With you messing up so much we might have to cut down your lines for the comeback,” (Y/n) took a deep breath, her whole body was shaking from exhaustion and nausea, “I’m sorry ma’am, I’m trying my best, I just can’t breathe,” “Ma’am, (Y/n)’s been off all day. I think she might be catching a cold or something,” Heesung stepped in, hoping the vocal teacher would back off of (Y/n). “Hmm, really? (Y/n), are you feeling sick?” “I-” (Y/n) didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want to worry the boys nor did she want to be a burden to them. “I’m not feeling too well, no. I couldn’t sleep and have been nauseous most of the day,” As soon as she admitted to not being well, the boys all went into a frenzy. Jay ran up to her and felt her forehead, “She’s warm, she definitely has a fever,” “(Y/n), you should know better. You have to tell the manager when you’re not feeling well or you might make the boys sick or hurt yourself,” The vocal teacher scolded (Y/n), who was becoming more and more light-headed. “Let’s sit down, come on,” Sunoo saw the color fading from (Y/n)’s face and realized that she might collapse unless she sat down. Jay and Jake who were standing closest to (Y/n) helped her sit down on the floor while Niki ran to get her some water. “We’ll end practice here, good job today boys, (Y/n), when you’re feeling better you’re gonna have to practice some more to make up for this lost time. Boys, make sure to get her home safely and get some food in her,” “Thank you, ma’am. I promise we’ll take care of her,” Sunghoon said as he followed the teacher to the door. 

An hour later and the boys had managed to get (Y/n) to drink some water which helped ease her nausea enough for her to walk to the car and get to their dorm. Sunghoon and Jay helped (Y/n) walk over to the couch while the others ordered some food and got some new clothes for her to change into. “Here, I brought you one of my t-shirts,” Heesung said as he handed her a t-shirt that she once said was her favorite of his. “And I brought you some sweatpants, yours, do you want anything else?” Jungwon asked as he gave (Y/n) a pair of her sweatpants. “I don’t know, I don’t even know if I have enough energy to change clothes,” “Need some help?” Jake said in a flirty tone before he chuckled. “Mmm, you know maybe I do, just thinking of having to stand up makes me want to throw up,” “We’ll help you if you want us to, just say the word,” “Thanks Hoon,” “No problem darling,” “We ordered [insert food of choice], it should be here in 15 minutes,” Sunoo said. (Y/n) with the help of Niki, managed to stand up and change her shirt but had to sit down before she could change into the sweatpants. “We could just get a blanket and you won’t have to put on the sweatpants, you’d just have to take off the ones you’re wearing now,” Jay suggested, not intended in a sexual way but rather for (Y/n)’s comfort. “Here, take this one,” Heesung handed her a blanket. “Maybe I should just head to bed,” “(Y/n), you need to eat, you’re not gonna get better unless you eat. So as the leader of Enhypen, I won’t allow you to go to sleep until you have eaten something. And as your boyfriends, we are all really worried about you, how come you wouldn’t talk to us and tell us you weren’t feeling well?” Jungwon said in a stern tone, one he rarely ever used but he was just so worried about (Y/n). “I’m sorry,” “Darling, you don’t have to apologize just please, next time, tell us, so we can help you,” Sunghoon said as he sat down beside (Y/n) to give her a hug. “Honey, we will always be here for you. No matter what,” Sunoo said while he sat down on the side of (Y/n) and draped the blanket over her legs. “Can someone help me pull my pants off? I don’t have the energy to do it myself,” “Of course, can you hold up your legs?” Jake asked as he bent down a little. (Y/n) lifted her legs and Jake along with Niki pulled the pants off while Sunoo readjusted (Y/n)’s blanket. *Ding* “Food is here!” Jay ran over to the door and got the food while everyone sat down. 

The night continued with (Y/n) slowly eating her food, eating too quickly would only spark her nausea again. The group watched a few episodes of a drama they all liked while cuddling. Eventually, (Y/n) fell asleep with her head resting on Sunghoon’s shoulder. So yeah, being the 8th member of Enhypen isn’t always easy but it’s easier when you have seven amazing boyfriends who are ready to help you with anything and everything.

"Niki!" You yelled for what felt like the 30th time that night, in response Niki chuckled licking the cookie dough off his finger. "That's disgusting! And you'll get sick stop eating raw cookie dough" you scolded pushing Niki's approaching finger away, Niki laughed "oh come on Yn, it's just a little bit" he teased leaning on your shoulder.

"A little bit is all it takes Niki" you said sighing before going back to shaping your cookies, a minute of silence from Niki had you suspicious, side eyeing him to see he had his eyes closed, leaning against the counter to the left of you.

Turning your attention back to the bowl and pan In front of you, Niki on the other hand was devising a plan, he made sure you got focused in your cookies on the tray, before dipping his finger back in the bowl pulling out a small clump of cookie dough. "Hey Yn" Niki said drawing your attention to him, you and Niki made eye contact before he shoved his finger full of cookie dough into your mouth.

Your eyes went wide, as Niki's smile grew "it's good!" Niki said trying to convince you. You tried to respond but Niki kept his finger shoved in your mouth, grabbing his wrist, pulling him away, you blinked processing what just happened.

A bright shade of red covered your entire face causing Niki to laugh, "you look like the ornament on your tree!!" Niki laughed holding on to his stomach, doubling over. You huffed air through your nose facing away from Niki trying to focus back on to the tray in front of you.

You felt Niki wrap his arms around your waist, not saying anything Niki snuggled into your neck. When suddenly you felt a finger wipe on your side "Niki!" You yelled. During an interview Niki explained that as the funnest day of his life.

Ensemble Stars Characters and what Vision they would possess

(In my opinion).

I tried my best to read at least some of their lore to understand them better, although some of them I still couldn't decide it, as others i'm 100% sure about it and commented why down below.

Please feel free and DO comment any opinions you may have!!

If you want to know any reason behind any of them pls ask away~ I'll try my best to explain it 💜

Before starting on the reasoning, I want to make a quick explanation on Genshin Impact visions.

Anemo: People who desperately seeks for freedom.

Geo: People who are VERY dedicated and hard working about their duties and objectives.

Electro: People who are DEVOTED to something (be it a ideal or objective) or someone, their perspective practically never changing.

Dendro: People who seek knowledge.

Hydro: People who have a high sense of justice, wish to become heroes or would do anything to protect others.

Pyro: People who are deeply passionate about something.

Cryo: People who are going through internal conflicts.

Illusion: These are fake visions, you can get any vision you want illegally with the cost of rapidly aging, shortening your life span by a huge amount as you use it.

No vision: It is what it is. Just because someone may have some of the characteristics above, it doesn't necessarily mean all of them gets one. The reason people get vision still not completely clear, it may be that gods are watching on the vision bearers for whatever reason, potential beings that could ascend to godhood, and many other theories.

"Why this character is this and not that?" Personality characteristics, some coincidences that vision bearers posses, as example: most Pyro bearers are very hyperactive, most geo characters are calm, some hydros tend to look down on themselves, most cryos feel like they don't belong anywhere/where they are.

This was just a brief explanation, but I tried my best to get through everything so reasons be easier to understand.

Ok some of the ones I'm 100% sure are:

Kohaku oukawa - Anemo: Spent his whole life trapped in his own room by his family, being the worst moments of his live. Once he finally got out to see the outside world, he would never want to go back to being trapped again (A good proof is when he scolds Rinne for trapping him in the dressing room of Knights).

Hiiro Amagi - Dendro: He's always wanting to learn about everything: what's an idol, common sense and things about the city, trivial things, what's considered right or wrong. Anyway, hiiro amagi learning moments.

Adonis Otogari - Hydro: Everytime you see Adonis, theres a 100% chance he will say they want meat or give you meat, or that his wish is to protect the weak and his friends.

Madara Mikejima - Hydro: This one i also barely have anything to explain. The sense of justice, back when they wanted to be a hero with ryusetai, overprotective of his friends. They are the full hydro bearer bag.

Kanata Shinkai - Hydro: No. It's not because they puka puka. I actually tried to find any other vision that it could be fit for them, but any path I took just ended up in Hydro, the only reason i could find is the wish to protect the ones he loves the most. To be honest, we all just want him to be Hydro related cause water, so instead of having a hydro vision, i would say he's the hydro dragon (elemental dragons have no need for visions, they have complete control of the element and are more powerful than gods).

Niki Shiina - Pyro: This is one of the most obvious ones and I'm not accepting any other opinions. His passion is food and cooking, do I need to say more?

Rinne Amagi - Pyro: Same thing as Niki, His passion for idols and living in his own life style.

Subaru akehoshi - Pyro: The passion for stars/shining things, also his personality come strong on this one. As pyro characters, they are hyperactive, cheerful and though things sometimes gets them sad, they try their best to not show it or let it get to them ("that akehoshi" situation).

Aira Shiratori - Cryo: Despite his love for idols and achieving his dream of becoming one, the inferiority complex is strong on him, feeling like he's not good enough and that he is always falling behind even in the things he loves the most.

Discussion

Ritsu - illusion: I wasn't sure which vision to give Ritsu, mostly because I didn't find anything about him that looks like a strong ambition worth a vision, but I know he would definitely want one just because his brother has it.

Himeru - Illusion: I think this is the best for him because of his "condition". Himeru would have a illusion based on Kaname's, as I believe he would have one. Particularly, even as a HimeruP, I don't think Himeru would have any vision, I don't feel like their ambitions are strong enough to get one, but if I had to pick any, I guess Cryo may fit him better.

Eichi - This one is mostly lore related because as I explained, illusion beholders age more as they use the illusion, so I decided to give eichi an illusion because of his illness, but I think Electro could also be an option for him.

"Why is Madara Hydro and Chiaki Pyro?" because of their personalities. If you know Genshin, Madara gives me a hydro-Childe vibes, the "villain" but he's actually a good person deep inside (yes I used to be a childe main), also the feeling of not being good enough for others, that they can not be loved by anyone ever. As for Chiaki, Pyro characters rarely gets down on whatever sad outcomes that may happen, although it does happen to Chiaki, he stands up again and keeps on being the hero everyone needs.

"I think Rei should be Anemo" This is my friends opinion, their reason being that the thing Rei wanted the most is "to be freed from it's adult responsibilities and just live a happy life he was supposed to have since he was a child" although it is something that is indeed true that he said, in !!Era I mostly see Rei taking responsibilities of his own accord instead of being obliged to do something or everything will fall apart. "I don't understand" this is when personalities shows up again, weirdly, most geo characters didn't want a geo vision, find it useless or are unpleasant they got a geo one, even so, they make it useful somehow. So in my opinion, even if his wish is to be free, they are more bound by the duty and being able to help others then living his own life.

I guess that's it for now, i guess some of them are still not clear but im open to discussion, (except for niki, they are literally xiangling on enstars)

EPILOGUE: New Contract

Y/n taps their pen anxiously against the page of their notebook, eyes shifting towards the clock. How is it that the last 5 minutes of class always seem to last for hours? With every second that goes by, Y/n can feel their body tingling with excitement.

“Got somewhere to be?” Danielle asks, taking note of her friend's restlessness. “We do.” Y/n smiles, causing her to cock her brow with confusion. She doesn’t remember having any plans at lunch.

“Are we going to eat lunch together tomorrow or with our friends?” Y/n asks, peering up at Niki as they swing their interlocked hands back and forth. “Tomorrow? Uh… I think I’ve got a dance thing.” Niki mumbles. Y/n had been at the forefront of his mind over the last couple of weeks so he’d almost forgotten the lunch-time dance recital their team had prepared.

“A dance thing?” Y/n asks, intrigued. “Yeah, it’s some mini recital thing we’re doing at the front of the school. Practicing for nationals, I think. I don’t know, it’s not that important.” Niki trails off. “It sounds fun though, I can’t wait to watch.” Y/n smiles, making Niki laugh slightly. “You don’t have to, it’ll probably be bad.” He laughs. “It won’t be bad, Riki. Besides, I’ve gotta be there! Who else is gonna cheer on my boyfriend?” Niki’s face heats a bright pink when the word “boyfriend” slips past Y/n’s lips. After fake dating this entire time, he’s still not used to it being real. “Okay… but don’t complain when it sucks.” Niki teases, letting out a yelp when Y/n whacks him in the chest.

Danielle watches her friend in confusion as Y/n begins to slowly pack up their books. There’s still about 2 minutes of class left and Mr Yoon is still going over some of the key notes for the next assignment. 

“Put your stuff away.” Y/n whispers, only adding to Danielle’s confusion. Never one to question Y/n, Danielle too begins slowly packing up - careful not to alert Mr Yoon. 

The second that the bell rings, Y/n is out of their chair. They immediately grab Danielle by the hand, slinging their bag over their shoulder before pulling her out of the classroom.

“What the hell, Y/n?” Danielle laughs as Y/n drags them through the hall, which is slowly starting to fill up with students. Y/n just smiles in response, pulling out their phone and calling Eunchae. She barely gets a word in before Y/n is speaking down the line “meet us at the front steps!” before hanging up.

Once outside, they are immediately met with the school’s dance team standing at the bottom of the steps, going over a few of the steps with their teacher. The area quickly begins to fill up with students so Y/n drags Danielle to the bottom of the stairs, sitting in the spot that’ll give them the best view.

“What are we doing?” Danielle asks, confused. “The dance team’s doing a performance. I wanted to get good seats.” Y/n says, knees bouncing with excitement. Danielle watches with adoration as Y/n makes eye contact with Niki - sending him a small wave. A few moments later, Eunchae bursts through the crowd, manoeuvring through a few groups of students before finally sitting with Y/n and Danielle.

“Never call me like that again. I thought you were dying.” Eunchae scolds, flicking Y/n’s forehead. “But I should’ve known you were wanting to watch the performance.” She adds, playfully rolling her eyes. “Let me simp for my boyfriend in peace.” Y/n frowns - the word boyfriend causing both friend’s eyes to widen. “Oh, so we're official, huh?” Danielle teases, nudging her friend. Y/n blushes, mumbling a small “shut up” before nudging her back. “Shhh, it's starting.” Eunchae whisper-yells, making the other two turn to watch the performance.

Y/n can’t help the wide smile that spreads across their face as they watch Niki perform. He does amazing - obviously. Despite the way he tried to downplay it yesterday, it really does look like a professional performance. Y/n can tell that Niki is purposefully avoiding making eye contact with them in order to keep his focus - an action they find much cuter than they probably should. Glancing at the others in the crowd, Y/n’s gaze lands on Niki’s friend group - their grin increasing at the way the group of boys scream and cheer for their friend.

When the performance comes to an end, the crowd erupts into fits of applause. The dance team thanks everyone for coming and the crowd slowly begins to disperse. Once most of the crowd has left, Y/n gets up and runs towards Niki. They call his name to gain his attention before jumping into his arms - the action causing him to stumble slightly as he catches them.

“You did so amazing!” Y/n exclaims, giggling as Niki spins them in his arms. He mumbles a small thank you, his face burning slightly at the compliment. “I saw you were trying not to look at me.” Y/n teases, making him scoff. “What? That’s not true! I was just focused on the performance.” Niki bluffs. Y/n doesn't believe him for a second but chooses not to press, opting for pressing a peck against his cheek instead.

“Uh… are we interrupting something?” Jay asks, the sudden voice making Niki almost drop Y/n. “You two look cozy.” Jungwon teases. “Shut up.” Niki retorts, his bitter tone making the group burst out laughing.

“Wait… are you guys actually dating now?” Jake asks, confused. “Uh… yeah.” Niki smiles awkwardly, eyes shifting between his friend and Y/n (who is still in his arms). “I’ve been telling everyone you broke up.” Jake groans, throwing his arms up in defeat. “Your fault for sticking your nose in other people’s business.” Sunoo mumbles.

“Anyway, if you’ll excuse me, I want to spend the rest of my lunch with Y/n.” Niki says, making the group roll their eyes. “You two are disgusting.” Heeseung says, his face twisted in disgust. Niki ignores the insult, flipping Heeseung off before walking away.

“You know you can put me down now, right?” Y/n asks, laughing slightly as Niki keeps walking. “I’m trying to prove how strong I am.” Niki huffs. Despite his words, it’s clear that he’s reaching his limit. Thankfully, the bleachers are close by - Niki placing Y/n firmly on the ground as soon as he’s gone far enough for his ego. “Who knew getting a boyfriend would mean I didn’t have to walk anywhere?” Y/n jokes, sitting down on the bleachers and pulling out their lunchbox.

The two eat their lunch quickly, chatting about whatever crosses their mind. Niki makes sure to steal a few gummies from Y/n when he thinks they aren’t looking. They roll their eyes at his immaturity yet still tilt the bag to give him easier access.

Eventually, Niki gets bored stealing Y/n’s food and settles on playing with their free hand. Y/n doesn’t pay much attention to what he’s doing, enjoying the feeling of Niki’s warm hand brushing against their own. Suddenly, the feeling is gone and Y/n turns to see Niki pulling something out of their bag.

“What are you doing?” Y/n asks, watching curiously as Niki pulls out one of their journals, as well as their pencil case. He silently flicks to the back of the book before stopping on a familiar page.

It’s their contract.

“Oh my god.” Y/n laughs as soon as they get a glimpse of the colourful page. “Figured this needs a bit of an update.” Niki laughs. Y/n scooches closer to him to get a better look at the page. “Yeah, we broke most of these.” They laugh.

Niki flicks to the next page, titling it Actually Dating. “Draw a heart.” Y/n mumbles, their head falling to Niki’s shoulder. He playfully rolls his eyes yet doodles a small heart next to the words without a second thought. Niki quickly jots down the first rule to the new contract, Y/n letting out a small snort as soon as they read it.

Rule One: Riki must give at least 5 head pats a day

“It’s crazy that you put that and not me.” Y/n laughs. “I think we both know that the head pats are more for me than you.” Niki snickers, giving a quick one as an example. “Well, what if I start doing them back?” Y/n asks, reaching up to ruffle Niki’s hair quickly. He lets out a complained whine, immediately bringing his hands up to fix his hair. “Never do that again.” He says, looking at Y/n with a deadpan expression. He quickly looks back at the page, writing down the next rule.

Rule Two: Y/n is not allowed to walk home alone!!!

Before Y/n can even get in a word about rule two, Niki immediately follows it up with the third rule.

Rule Three: Riki gets to see Y/n’s art before anyone else

“Okay, these are starting to sound a bit one-sided.” Y/n laughs, pulling the book out of Niki’s grip before he can write another rule. “They sound like your everyday boyfriend privileges if you ask me.” Niki mumbles, making Y/n roll their eyes. They carefully take the pen from his grip before adding to rule three.

Rule Three: Riki gets to see Y/n’s art before anyone else (same for Y/n with Riki’s dancing!!)

“That is not the same thing!” Niki argues, a small pout on his face. “You just show me a piece of paper and call it quits. Am I supposed to bust out into some choreography in the middle of the library?” He asks. “No but you could let me watch some of your practices.” Y/n suggests, a small smile on their face. The words cause Niki to pause his mini-speech. “... you liked watching me dance that much?” He asks, a soft pink blush adorning his cheeks. “I loved it.” Y/n corrects, poking his blushing cheek before turning back to the list.

Rule Four: Wednesday is still for study dates

“That’s if you’re not sick of me already.” Y/n jokes, nudging Niki slightly with their elbow. “I actually hate spending time with you and that’s why I asked you out.” Niki rolls his eyes. He reaches quickly to grab the book from Y/n’s grip, jotting down one final rule before handing it back with a cheesy smile.

Rule Five: Give Riki lots of kisses

“You’re unbelievable.” Y/n laughs, their cheeks reddening slightly. “You get head pats, I get kisses. It’s only fair, Y/nnie.” Niki teases. “You literally just admitted that the head pats are for you!” Y/n exclaims, pointing at Niki with a pout on their lips. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Niki shrugs nonchalantly. “This is an unequal relationship.” Y/n frowns, turning away from Niki. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. I’ll change it.” Niki laughs, erasing the rule (thank god for erasable markers) before scribbling another one in its place.

Actual Rule Five: Love each other for as long as we can <3

Niki slowly slides the book back onto Y/n’s lap, biting his lip to hold back his smile. Y/n glances down at the colourful page, their face immediately turning three shades darker when they read the fifth and final rule.

“You’re such an idiot.” Y/n mumbles, turning around and pulling Niki into a hug. It’s at a slightly odd angle due to the book in their lap but Niki immediately settles into the contact nevertheless. “I’m your idiot.” Niki jokes, his corniness making Y/n groan with embarrassment. “Okay, okay, I’ll actually stop now.” Niki laughs, patting Y/n’s head gently as they nuzzle into his neck.

The two sit like that for a while, just enjoying each other’s presence. “I’m really happy.” Niki suddenly mumbles - the confession making Y/n’s heart flutter with excitement. It’s such a simple statement, something so minimal that could go overlooked by anyone else - but to Y/n, it means the world.

“Me too.” Y/n whispers back. They slowly pull their head out from its hiding spot in Niki’s neck, looking up at him with shining eyes. Niki suddenly thinks back to all the times his friends had talked about their first kisses, how the moment felt and how they knew it was time. Niki never understood what they meant until now. This is the moment.

So he kisses Y/n. Although they technically already shared their first kiss together - back when their relationship was still fake - it was nothing like this one. That kiss was quick and rushed, done without much thought or meaning. This one is planned, precise and oh-so-special.

Y/n smiles gently against Niki’s lips, making him do the same. It gets to the point where the kiss can no longer continue, both breaking out into fits of giggles as they press their noses against each other. Niki can’t believe all the years he spent thinking love was gross. If he knew it felt like this he would’ve never been so stubborn in the first place. But maybe his objection to love was the right call - after all, it led him to Y/n.

Enhypen reaction: Their S/o taking care of them

Heeseung:

Heeseung caught the cold yesterday. He thought it was just gonna be a simple sniffles and a small headache.

Boy was he wrong. This cold got worst over time and now he was laying in bed. You as his s/o came to see him when Jake called you. Heeseung was glad to see you here went you came into his room but was worried that you'll catch his cold.

"Baby can you make me some soup please"

Jake:

Jake gets quiet when he is sick. He didn't want the others to worry about him cause of a common cold. But that change when Niki realized that his Hyung hasn't been eating like he should and should.

You as Jake s/o was called by Niki. He explained to you on what was wrong with Jake. When you realize what was the matter, you went to the pharmacy to get some medicine before heading to your bf dorm to take care of him. When you arrive to see Jake spacing out, you lightly places a hand over his forehead softly. Jake snap out of his daze state and saw you as he lay his head against your shoulder.

"Baby are you...Alright I'll take the medicine"

Jay:

Jay when he is sick gets easily emotional. Why he get emotional no one knows but it does happen. Jay caught the cold from Jake when he found out about his sickness. Jay wasn't expecting it to catch the cold but the night he started to sneeze and cough a lot, he knew he got sick.

You as his s/o was visiting when Jay got sick. You find it somewhat amusing when Jay clings on you while he's sick. You gave him his medicine and made some warm soup to help his sickness.

"Babe, you'll stay to take care of me right?"

Sunghoon:

Sunghoon tries his best to take care of himself. There are times that he just couldn't cause the sickness would make him weak. Heeseung calls you to come over cause Sunghoon got a fever.

Being Sunghoon s/o, you went an bought medicine, waters and light food for him. Went you got to his dorm and Heeseung lets you in. You worn a mask when you enter Sunghoon room so you don't get scold by him. Sunghoon laying in his bed saw you walking over to him as he gave you a small smile.

"Hey Hun, you here to take care of me?"

Sunoo:

Sunoo is like Jake. When he gets sick, he tries to not let other worry about him to much. A common cold with him make it obvious that he was sick.

You as his s/o knows how Sunoo acts when he's sick. He came to visit you the day he got sick. When you saw how your sweet boy has been acting, you know he's was sick and took him into your warm embrace.

"Don't worry about me love....*Sighs* alright I'll go lay down but your laying down with me"

Jungwon:

Jungwon gets very cuddly and whiney when he's sick. It was not the first time he got to be like this.

Today Jungwon was with his love. They were watching a movie when suddenly Jungwon started to couch. You as his s/o was surprised for a moment before handing him a bottle of water. Jungwon took a drink and sighed, you check his temperature to see that he was burning up a bit. "Baby, you feeling okay?" Jungwon shook his head as he cuddles against your chest. You sighed since you know he wasn't gonna let you go anytime soon.

"Please let me stay like this...if I take my medicine then you should reward me with a kiss"

Niki:

When Niki gets sick. He gets very sassy and become a brat.

You as his s/o had dealt with his behavior before. Jungwon called you late a night to ask if you could come over to the dorm. Confused at first, you agreed and got dress as you head to the guys dorm. When you arrive and Jungwon invited ya in. You saw Niki acting out a bit which gave you a sign that he was sick. "He's been like this since this morning, please get him to rest before he gets even more sick" Jungwon plead and you did since you as Niki s/o to was worried about him.

"Oh, baby when...*Whines* But I don't wanna!....Okay, but can you cuddle with me if I do lay down a bit?"

Ni-ki & Jay - reaction to you accidentally injuring yourself, pt.2

Jay

The pain was killing you, making your nails dig into Jay’s shoulder from where you held on for dear life as he carried you. It was a weird sensation, like anything you’d ever experienced before and every little movement sent splitting pain up your spine, making you hiss.

As he carried you your boyfriend kept patting your back to calm you and throwing worried glances to make sure you weren’t in too much pain. But he knew he couldn’t put you down to rest so he pushed through it, all the way to the house.

Inside, you were laid down on the couch. You guessed Jay chose that instead of the bed because it was closer; or because he could keep an eye on you as he worked downstairs.

‘‘ What would you do without me? Stupid ‘‘ he said with clenched teeth, worry making his eyebrows knit together.

You smiled too. But while doing so your body moved a bit, that millimetre being enough for the pain to shoot back up again. You let out a shaky breath, trying not to let your pain show because you didn’t want to be a burden to your boyfriend.

He noticed of course, eyes immediately finding yours at the sound of your unsteady breaths. He came over and crouched, fingers shaking as they hesitated to touch your ankle.

‘‘ It’s okay ‘‘ 

You tried your best to give him a reassuring smile and hold his hand, hoping he’d leave you to go back to work.

When he didn’t move you shook your head.

‘‘ I don’t wanna be the reason you get fired ‘‘

That seemed to make him smile again.

‘‘ Don’t be stupid. I wouldn’t mind getting fired if it’s for you ‘‘

You fake retched at his sudden cuteness.

‘‘ Yah! ‘‘ his ears turned red and he avoided looking at you.

‘‘ Anyways...my doctor will be here tomorrow to give you a cast ‘‘ his eyes softened sympathetically again ‘‘ I hope you won’t be in too much pain until then ‘‘

‘‘ What? You have your own doctor? ‘‘ you gasped dramatically, hand clutched to your chest.

He rolled his eyes and scoffed.

‘‘ I’ll sleep downstairs to keep you company ‘‘

You pretended to look annoyed that he offered such a sweet gesture but Jay saw through you, the corners of his mouth tugging into a smile.

‘‘ Don’t pretend you don’t like it ‘‘ 

Ni-ki

‘‘ Niki? ‘‘ was the first thing you said when you opened your eyes, head almost colliding with your boyfriend’s as you tried to sit up.

You giggled as you pictured him standing so close and inspecting you to really make sure he could see you were okay. 

A deep sigh escaped from him. But then almost immediately he drew back as he heard you laugh at him; his expression going back to the usual cold and stoic face.

You knew it was coming, but seeing his cute and worried face before would prevent you from crying at his scolding this time.

‘‘ What the fuck were you doing? ‘‘

You tried not to smile, knowing it would only make him angrier and shout even louder. Instead you faked a scared and sad expression.

Next your eyes darted to the doctor, trying as hard as he could to drag Ni-ki back from your bed - he seemed to be scared for your safety when your boyfriend raised his voice. But he still flinched as Ni-ki turned back to give him a glare.

His eyes were filled with hatred and his words were venomous.

‘‘ Did you forget what I told you outside? ‘‘

Slowly the doctor backed away from the psycho - mouth slightly open in what looked like a silent gasp. But Ni-ki wasn’t done, he followed the poor man as he desperately tried to reach the door; being grabbed by the wrist before he could do so.

You couldn’t see your boyfriend’s face but you could only imagine it as the doctor was shaking in fear, eyes bulging as he hung on to every word the taller male said.

‘‘ I’m not done with you. While you’re still here you can be useful for one more thing ‘‘ he crouched down to his level ‘‘ Give me the names of the people in the car that hit my darling ‘‘

His low voice sent shivers down the doctor’s spine, who struggled to speak without stuttering - it amused Ni-ki.

‘‘ I-I can take you to them ‘’

A satisfied smile replaced his cold glare and he glanced back at you telling you to behave before following the doctor out.

Already being prepared, he had brought the knife with him to the hospital and was now clutching it in his pocket on the way to the room where those bastards were.

Even from a distance their voices could be heard in the hall. Ni-ki’s hand began to shake in anger. They didn’t sound nearly as badly injured as you were.

The doctor slid the door open and stepped to the side. Your boyfriend looked at the door and then at him, signalling quietly for him to close the door.

He did so and then threw the curtains hastily in front - seemingly knowing what the tall male was capable of and what was about to go down.

‘‘ Wh- ‘‘

He didn’t even give them a chance to speak as he lunged for the man closest to him, plunging the knife deep into his flesh and relishing the sound it made.

He had really missed killing.

I don't understand why Jake would want to know how it feels. Seeing someone hurt should give him an idea… He even wanted to keep it a secret, but why?

I wonder if K already gave it to him… if he drank it knowing what it was. 

“Why are you so lost in your own head love?” I heard and smiled. “Just tired, Won,” I said and he chuckled. “Too tired even for me?” he teased and I smiled at him. He really was the best. “No, never for any of you,” I said and he smiled while kissing my forehead. 

“Jay is busy today, so he wanted me to tell you to eat at the cafeteria today,” he said and I nodded. “Are you gonna join me?” I asked and he chuckled. “I would, but I need to get my dinner at the cafeteria so I’d rather not let you wait,” he said and I nodded. 

It's been a while since I've eaten dinner by myself. Eunchae and Wonyoung are busy with after-school activities today. “Don’t miss me too much,” he said while speeding away. 

I packed up my stuff and decided to go to the cafeteria. 

While we could make our own food and eat at the cafeteria, we couldn’t get other foods made for different species. That's a concrete rule… humans have a specific process of checking food, it's quite similar to witches but our food has more nutrients for our energy in magic. Whilst werewolves consisted of a lot of meat… sometimes rare. Of course, vampires have blood bags and blood-infused food. 

Wait… if Jay was busy today, what was Jake gonna eat?

“I need help” I heard and I immediately got scared of the man behind me… speaking of the devil. “I know it's not your ideal way to spend the end of the day, but if I can't stomach a blood bag I won't be able to eat any of the cafeteria food,” he said and I nodded. 

“Why don’t you go into the city?” I asked and he shook his head. “The humans know I'm a vampire… It's on my uniform. They'll refuse to serve me. Why would a vampire go to a human-owned restaurant alone?” he asked and he proved a point. There was a lot of fear when it came to humans… some trusted witches and werewolves but when it came to other supernatural creatures like vampires… not so much. 

“Well… I could go with you? We could go to the witch area, there's food you can eat as a human '' I said and his eyes lit up and he grabbed my shoulders making me freeze. “Thank you! You’re a lifesaver!” he said as he let me go… I tried to calm down my over beating heart, but it wasn’t like he could hear it with the effects of the potion. 

“Do you need time to get ready?” I asked and he shook his head. “No… I just want food” he said and I understood he must be feeling an overwhelming amount of saturation. 

“Lets go wait  for the bus then”

jake’s perspective

I was happy she was true to her word and was willing to help me. 

We finally got out of the bus that took us to the nearest city. It had a lot of different species-owned shops and restaurants. While shops were okay, restaurants were hard since vampires primarily drink blood scaring humans when they go in saying they're hungry. 

“This is a human and witch-infused place. I hope you can find something you can eat” she said and I nod hoping it was true. “Jake?” I heard and I saw a she-devil. I hid behind y/n who looked at me confused. 

“Jake, you should not be hiding behind the poor girl” she scolded and she smiled at the y/n who put her hand out. “Hello, if you know Jake you must know my brother Heeseung '' she said and I could see the shocked expression on her face. “I’m sorry for those idiots, they’ve always been that way,” she said and I scoffed.

“But you’re a witch and Heeseung–” “Is a vampire? The only vampires born from them are Sunghoon, Jake, and Niki the rest were turned. Heeseung was actually a witch” she explained. 

“That's a long story though!” she said and I scoffed… 

“Oh, it's nice to meet you,” she said, causing the she-devil to smile. “Be careful, Jake. Being human is a lot harder than you think” she said, seeing right through me. “How’d you know?” I asked as I stopped hiding. “I’m a witch… of course, I'd know, '' she said. “Besides any idiot could feel the magic radiating off of you” I heard as I now saw Vernon-hyung. “Oh, uhm she’s actually in HYBE Academy '' I explained and her eyes lit up. “I want to go into HYBE Academy when I graduate!” she said with an excitement I hadn't seen before. 

“Oh? Maybe you’ll be my junior!” she said and y/n smiled. “We should get going now, your mates are waiting for you” I heard as I saw Jeonghan also. 

“Mates? I didn’t know you found your mates yet?!” I said and she chuckled. “Neither do they,” she said and I should've guessed. From what Heeseung explained she knew who her mates were before even meeting them. 

“Bye! I would love to see you again y/n!” she said as she left. “I didn’t know he had a sister, '' she said and I nodded. “She’s evil,” I said and she laughed. “She seems nice…” she said and I nodded. “Nicer than Heeseung at least but those two are the worst. Now can we order?” I asked and her eyes widened. 

“Oh! You’re right, uhm here” she said while showing me the menu. “Oh, Rabokki sounds good!” I said and she smiled. “Let's go order then,” she said and I put down the menu as we got in line. “Are you not gonna get anything?” I asked and she hummed. “I was thinking of getting the same thing actually,” she said and I chuckled. “We could just order a big one and share?” I suggested. “Are you sure?” she asked and I nodded. 

“I’ll pay by the way… as a thank you for doing this for me”

y/n’s perspective

My time with Jake was… nice. 

He was actually really funny and sweet so I felt comfortable around him. Even meeting Heeseung’s sister was shocking, but the evening was good despite my other soulmates being busy. 

“I’m so full!” he said as he yawned. “Why am I so sleepy?” he asked and I chuckled. “Because human food fills you so much that it just makes you tired. Unlike other species they don’t use anything to give extra energy to their food” I explained and he nodded. 

“Being a human… it's weird” he said and I was curious. “How does being a witch feel?” he asked, making me laugh. “I know it sounds weird,” he mutters softly with a smile. He was...

No, he likes Sooha, not me.

“Well, I almost have excessive energy that I need to release. Witches need to do magic to not only be healthy but practice” I explained and he nodded. 

“Vampires just have an excessive thirst,” he said and I nodded. “Does it make you uncomfortable with… you know eating with your mates?” he asked and I shook my head. 

“It's a natural thing, none of it bothers me,” I said and he nodded. “Being around you… is overwhelming” he said and it confused me. “Not right now! Just… as a vampire. I’m not the best with control so you constantly smell like blood” he said and I felt my eyes widen in shock. 

“I need to work on my control… control plus heavy emotions lead me to do horrible things. I’m sorry for that” he explained and I now knew it wasn’t really his fault. 

He probably was defending Sooha… but he didn’t mean to hurt me. “I still don’t know how it feels to be hurt. But I wanted to explain that” he said and I nodded. “Sorry for not hearing you out,” I said and he shook his head. 

“I don’t blame you” 

jake’s perspective

I dropped her off at her dorm when I left the school again. I went to the plains to test it out. 

I took a deep breath and summoned my fire. It was warm… then it turned hot and then turned unbearable. I couldn’t even control the scream that I let out. 

“That pain you feel right now… remember it. It was only a fraction of what you did to her” I heard as I saw Heeseung? “Asking her for a potion to make yourself human? What were you thinking?” he asked as I could only feel my vision get blurry. 

The burns hurt… the smell of burning flesh even made me gag. 

“You’ve hurt countless people, you're under a rehabilitation program Jake. You're supposed to learn not to be a monster and yet you do monstrous things” he said and it was true. 

There were vampires like him… who were made and are taught how to control whilst there's one like me who has killed and needed to be taught morals. 

“I get it… I’m still a monster”

“happy birthday to you!” the members sang for the final time before jay closed his eyes for a wish and then blowing his candles out. everyone clapped as they watched jay with a big smile of their faces. and of course, niki thought this was a great idea to tease his hyung, once again.

“jay hyung is getting old!” the maknae teased with a cheeky smile on his face.

“yah! i’m not old, quit teasing niki!” jay scolded, and the youngest of the group couldn’t help but laugh at the reaction of his member.

all the members had a great time celebrating jay’s birthday, and it soon came night.

everyone was getting ready for bed, but of course niki just had to barge into jay’s room for something. there was always something the maknae needed.

“hyung, can i borrow this for a second?” niki asked politely, trying to sound as innocent as possible.

jay looked up from his bed, “why are you suddenly asking to borrow one of my shirts, niki?” the older asked in confusion.

“i just need to borrow it for a few, please? it’ll be quick.” niki said, trying to convince his other member but was in no luck whatsoever.

“get out of my room niki.” jay yawned as he stretched across his bed.

“ugh, whatever oldie.” niki mumbled, but to his dismay, jay surprisingly heard him and that’s when he lost it.

“alright, that’s it! get over here you!” jay hopped out of bed and chased the youngest around their dorm for a good 5 minutes. all the other members noticed this at least once and had some concerns for the two, but left them alone.

“heeseung hyung, help! hyung!” niki shouted as jay was hot on his tail. they eventually wrapped around the couch, jay on one side and niki on the other, who was crying for help from any of his hyungs.

“i rather watch this chaos unfold than get involved.” jake said, giggling as niki was now sulking.

“hyung please~ get this grandpa!” niki still managed to tease jay even though he was on the brick of punishment.

“oh, grandpa now?!” jay just had it with the maknae, he definitely knew how to get on his hyung’s nerves.

niki laughed at his own joke and that’s when jay decided to strike, right when the youngest was distracted.

“AH!” niki yelped as he was tackled onto to the ground by the older, his wrists immediately getting pinned above his head.

“heHEHELP! AHAHA—!” niki shrieked in laughter and thrashed around as jay targeted his armpits first.

“HYUNG! PLEHE—HAHA-!” niki couldn’t even form full sentences as jay started targeting different areas within seconds. first he was at his armpits, then his ribs, then his hips, and then his sides. he was definitely fast and niki couldn’t keep track on where he was getting attacked!

“STAHAP! HYUHUHUNG—!” the maknae tried his best to get out of jay’s grasp, but it was no help. his body was weakening by every tickle he felt to his body.

“yah, you brought this upon yourself niki-ah! how dare you call your hyung old?! such immature actions deserve punishments!” jay said with a smirk as he attacked the younger’s sides.

“PLEASE IM SOHOHORRY! IM SORRY!” the youngest apologized, but jay still wasn’t satisfied.

“saying sorry is not enough! you shall endure this punishment!” jay said, and he eventually heard a whine from the other.

the older lifted up niki’s shirt just a little bit to where his bellybutton was shown. he carefully traced around the makane’s navel, which made him go absolutely crazy.

“NOHOHOT THEHEHERE PLEHEASE!” niki begged and he actually got out of being pinned, but he was already weak to the point he couldn’t do anything.

the only thing he could do was grab at jay’s wrists, which he did. but did it stop the older? no. not really.

“oh? not here huh?” jay clicked his tongue, “you shouldn’t have said that niki~”

“WAI—WAHAHAIT PLEHEASE! HYUNG!” the youngest soon felt tears in his eyes from laughing so hard and jay soon realized it as well.

the maknae tried to cover his face from the older, but it was too late. jay has already saw a tear fall down.

“hey, niki-ah, you’re that sensitive?” jay slowed down on the tickling, but still teased the youngest.

“n-nohoho…” niki replied weakly, still holding jay’s wrist with his other hand.

“show me your face, niki~” jay said in a teasing tone, but niki shook his head.

the older scribbled around niki’s bellybutton and niki soon pulled his arm down from his face, revealing a tear.

“hyuhuhung!”

“tickled to tears, huh?” jay chuckled and gave one last squeeze to niki’s side before letting the youngest go.

“alright, i’m done! but if you call me old again, this same thing will repeat.”

“old.”

“yah! don’t test me! i’ll tickle you to tears again!” jay shouted, attacking niki’s hips before finally stopping after hearing the maknae begging for him to stop.
