sometimes percy wonders if his brother does certain things on purpose. like now, asking nick to help him look over a few maps and sparse information given by the now-gone soldiers. only for his brothers to be inches from him at his side, peering wide eyed to the paperwork. percy's words about a search trail off, but keep the same casual tone as he waves a hand to the maps. 'did you want to tear a few pieces off and stick them to your eyeballs?' he glances to how close nick hovers over his shoulder. 'and become twins?' percy adds before his hand waves to the seat. 'just sit down this is going to take more than five minutes. i'm trying to match up the things felix passed over to nadia, see if any of it is even true.' @manybcdthings

I really do think the key to understanding Pelor is a willingness to accept that someone can be proud and arrogant and full of love and kindness and sometimes that manifests in unpleasant ways. You have to recognize that he believes the gods are the best stewards to protect mortals even as he stands in the midst of ruination the gods caused and that he cares deeply about mortals and loves them for their own sake and wants them to thrive and that by the time we see him he's willing to make morally gray hard calls if he thinks he has to. He's complicated. He's, dare I say it, nuanced.
