Another perfect Heartstopper body language moment. In what is easily already one of the very best scenes in season 2, we get this little gem: Nick checking in with Charlie before agreeing to give Imogen her requested hug.

Once again, so much is being communicated in this tiny, attentive gesture. Nick is acknowledging that, even though it's all been resolved at this point, there were moments of tension and misunderstanding between him and Charlie when it came to Imogen in the past, so it might make Charlie more comfortable in this moment if he has a chance to object. Charlie recognizing the respect in that gesture and appreciating it after experiencing months of betrayals, physical and mental abuse, and complete lack of respect from Ben. Nick understanding exactly how Ben's treatment has affected Charlie and making absolutely sure he has Charlie's trust and consent. A mutual agreement that Imogen is a sure and beloved friend and that they both want to give her the support and comfort she needs.
