On today's episode and maybe the final episode cause I need to disassociate... Nicky is once again being dragged through the mud for daring to have multiple successes in his career. Word is he's anti queer because he's going to voice a sheep, more on that later... Taylor can do no wrong because he talks about the film all the time. Pay no mind to the man behind the curtain holding up a sign explaining how that's the only film work Taylor has done in the past year. Emphasis on film work since he's a model for like six different major label brands and is our Gorgeous gorgeous King!

It's no secret that I am a huge Nicholas Galitzine fan as my posts have never shyed away from that. I fell for Taylor Zakhar Perez first and maybe for Nicky harder. Anyway! My reason for saying that is to clear the air since I was accused of working for Nicky ... lol I DON'T. (but I would in a heartbeat, Taylor too!) Nicky is promoting a lot all at once he can't give RWRB all his attention that could ruin his career. As a fandom, we need to be loyal and still logical! Is Red White and Royal Blue the best, yes, but please let it go if you are so all consumed and can't respect the actors.

This rant is based on my anger from a Twitter post I saw this morning basically being a bully to Nicky.

I recently finished Mary & George, a limited series that portrays a fictionalized version of the story of Mary Villiers and her son George, aka The Duke of Buckingham, who rose to power in the early 17th century court of King James VI (Scotland) and I (England).

It's very good, probably one of the better historical pieces I've seen this year. Julianne Moore (Mary Villiers) and Nicholas Galitzine (George Villiers) are excellent in their roles, and it's full of a great supporting cast as well, with particular honorable mentions going to Tony Curran as King James, Laurie Davidson as Somerset, Niamh Algar as Sandie, Nicola Walker as Lady Hatton, and Mark O'Halloran as Francis Bacon.

The story basically goes like this. Mary Villiers, the widow of a minor member of the aristocracy, molded her handsome son George into becoming a lover of King James, who was well known to prefer the company of beautiful young men. (Or as the show puts it, in probably the funniest line I've ever heard, James was, "So cock-struck it's like a curse.")

The trailers for the show seemed to lean heavily on the raunch and comedy aspects, and there certainly are plenty of steamy sex scenes and irreverent laughs to be had, but there's a more serious story here as well, with themes of corrupting power taking precedence over the lighthearted.

Mary Villiers is obsessed with gaining power and favor, and more than willing to pimp out her gorgeous son to do it. And yet Julianne Moore adeptly shows Mary's side of the story, with the complicating factors of being a woman in the 17th century and therefore lacking in any traditional access to the avenues of power and wealth. "Women grow by men", as Shakespeare's Nurse famously puts it, in a play written around the time that Mary was giving birth to her son.

Moore and the script infuse the character with wit and sarcasm, even when she's being her most evil self. And yet Mary is an unreliable narrator at best. There's a scene in the final episode, where she questions George's by now outrageous behavior, and seems to sincerely claim, "You are not who I raised". But her every action thus far makes that an obvious and galling lie, and the fact that she believes this lie renders the character's level of self-awareness as practically non-existent. To the end, she seems to accept no guilt or responsibility at all for either the predictable corruption and downfall of her son or the brutal consequences suffered by her girlfriend and co-conspirator, Sandie (Niamh Algar). But Moore's performance of this unconscious amorality is both fascinating and liberating to watch.

Galitzine is also exceptional at presenting the journey of George Villiers from a vulnerable young man into quite a monstrous egomaniac. In the beginning, George seems to act mostly out of a desire to keep his mother satisfied and even, at times, a sincere affection for the King. But as time goes on, and he must scheme and plot to maintain his place as the King's favorite, he transforms into an arrogant, selfishly ambitious, and recklessly dangerous member of the royal court. It's a complicated portrayal of a character that's a little slutty, a lot scheming, but still occasionally sincere, and sometimes even struck by conscience. His best moments, such as his patience and care for his neurodivergent brother, make the audience mourn the loss of the uncorrupted young man he was, and not the petty tyrant he turns into. Galitzine also looks screen scorchingly beautiful in every scene, which doesn't at all detract from his more nuanced performances.

My one quibble with the piece is the script's characterization of King James. Actor Tony Curran is very charming as the romantic, mercurial, and "cock-struck" King, but that may be a fault rather than a feature of this depiction. James gets off rather easy, compared to everyone else. After all, he's the one who turned his personal relationships into a patronage system that basically boiled down to a sex-for-power scheme. People like Somerset, Mary Villiers and Buckingham may have exploited that system, but they didn't author it. And, although this is obviously imposing a wildly modern set of sensibilities on a historical show/events, one wonders if a man who made a habit of sleeping with much younger men who had far less power than he, should be made out to be quite so much the victim as he is in this series. Particularly the way they changed the historical circumstances of his death to fit the narrative of the pitiable gay king who just wanted to be loved but was continually let down or betrayed by his lovers.

Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the performance overall. And his relationship with George also seemed touchingly sincere, but I also think they could have examined his role in corrupting those around him, both Somerset and Buckingham, more fully, rather than winking at it and mostly letting him off the hook.

Happy 27th Birthday to the man who deserves a list of 27 reasons (he actually deserves billions) why I love him so much 💖

1. Chris is the most caring person alive. I don't mean this lightly either because to be as selfless and understanding as him takes more than just effort and time, it takes heart and patience (even though he says he has none - we all know he does, in bucketloads). It's weird when even though you don't know the person, you can see their character shine through so well by how they interact with others.

2. He is so kind to others. Being caring doesn't always equal being kind to people but Channie bridges that gap so well through how even when things go wrong or he isn't happy about something, he respects others enough to not let his emotions dictate his actions. He says he is impulsive but when it comes to serious business, he is calm and collected.

3. "Best father of 7 kids" "Oh yeah, who's mum?" "JYP"

4. Can we take a moment to appreciate how insane of a dancer he is??? Sure he isn't part of danceracha nor does he have a burning passion for dance for his solo stuff but WOW. CHRIS TAKE A BOW. I remember seeing Superbowl live and I have no idea what it was about that performance that made me go CHRISTOPHER CHAN. but it did and I've been reliving that moment for months.

5. His songs are too overpowered. WE NEED MORE CHAN POP PLEASE!!!! People hate on Connected and I hate to admit wayyy too much man but like SLUMP??? LEVANTER??? DRIVE??? RED LIGHTS??? 0325???? BLACK HOLE?????? ETERNITY????????????? The list goes on. Insanity.

6. The audacity of this man to say that his voice doesn't sound good- CHRIS! If I had to list my hobbies, I'm pretty sure 'listening to Railways' is high up that list, just so I can hear his voice.

7. Ummmm Bang Chan rapping??? Underrated.

8. We all know how amazing of a composer and producer he is but the fact that he urges non-3racha members to produce more and more is just so beautiful cause you can really see his influence on them and how they trust him to allow them to shine.

9. Him staring at the members from afar in surreal moments. That's it. That's the thing I love.

10. Bang Chansan speaking/singing in Japanese. When he did that cover of LiSA's Gurenge in SKZ Toy World fanmeet BROOOOOO I ASCENDEDDDD

11. He is so loved. This isn't even like a mild thing either because everyone who has the pleasure of meeting him always waxes poetic about how amazing he is: from people who have met him loads of times like Ryan Reynolds who said Chris is his bias since so so so long, to others who meet him once and fall in love like Chris Hemsworth and Nicholas Galitzine at the Fendi Show, his aura is crazy.

12. He is cute. As much as we all crinkle up into a ball when he acts like he is actually foive, LOWKEY LIKE REALLYYYYY LOWKEY he is adorable.

13. That interview with Young K is my comfort interview fr and I know that isn't a thing but now it is. He is truly the maknae of third gen idols and being a fourth gen leader can make him seem older than he is but he truly did 'give up his youth for his future' 🥹 I'm glad it paid off - It's my favourite lyric cause it hits home so so much but I'm sure to him and the boys, it hits even harder - seeing that circle choreo for that 😭 chills literal chills

14. His smile 🥹 Whenever I'm having a bad day, I have one Channie gif that I always come back to and it turns my day around, no matter how tough it is

17. His words. The way he says things to inspire us, I still go back to watch his Channies room episode where he talks about anger management because the advice he gives is really impactful. That could just be me because I know I get the best advice from people I admire so much but that can differ for different people

18. Would it be a Chris post if I didn't talk about how much Chan's room helped me? 🥹 I understand and have made my peace but it was amazing. That's all I'll say on the matter because I know he misses it and he knows how much we do too.

19. His interactions with other idols. Whenever you hear an interview about other groups or idols meeting SKZ, they never fail to mention Channie because of how much of a welcoming and kind person he is, to everyone. Of course as Atiny, I would remember Hongjoong's words the most but to inspire people is a talent and Channie has that skill in the bag. (Also number 19 hehe 19 is such a bangerrrr)

20. His presence is such a comfort. I remember I was on Holiday abroad and that was the day he went live on Instagram, showing us his room and his hat collection and everything, and despite the time difference (hehe what's new?) me and my friends tuned in and it was so so amazing. Should I mention Channies room here again.... 👀🥲🤣

21. He is very dependable. Watching the behind the scenes for this summer's festivals was testament to how reliable he is and how not only the members but the staff and the band members trust him to the extent that he was the main port of call if there were decisions to be made or if something went wrong.

22. He is so so so so so gosh darn handsome and I'm never gonna stop saying it, even after he believes it himself. I hope he knows we legit love him for him and we're not just here for his body or whatever else he jokes about. CHRIS WE LOVE YOUUUUU

So yes, I missed Six Sentence Sunday, y'all...but for, quite literally, the best possible reason that could ever exist, and that is because I MET NICHOLAS FREAKIN GALITZINE. I have been an emotional mess since Saturday night, when I got to not only meet the man but capture it in light and color and motion to keep forever, AND I got to sit in a theater with him and see his newest project, that y'all aren't at all ready for and we're all going to collectively freak out over when it releases. But for now, I'm staring at my new banner, at him...as Henry, my favorite character of all time, and thinking about the fact that for a singular moment in time, I existed in the same space as this man I've come to love so much more than I could ever say.

Thank you ALL for your well wishes and good vibes for me as I went into this past weekend. I know beyond a doubt that the universe heard them, and I'm so blessed and grateful it did.

Zeus/Henry richardson - jeffrey dean morgan, looks early 50s, over 5000. The OG Daddy TM. Based ob my own canon from my olympus blog /fables comics and greek knowledge (nerd alert). He's a judge, has his powers, do not fuck with his kids (whats left of them anyway)

Henry's main (non-zeus) verse - he's a Judge in the NY Criminal court. Before this he was the district attorney. he's a widower (and a bit of a ladies' man since his late 40s but he just hadn't found the one). he's not into kids (=anyone under 35) but apparently he has 'daddy' energy and young women keep hitting on him. he has two kids Gwen (Jennifer Morrison FC, has a career in the military a& ) and Jack (Jamie Dornan, also a muse here). Jack was his late wife's child and he adopted him when Jack was 3 and they married. Gwen was born shortly after. He's dedicated and determined, a bit playful and is trying his best to de-toxisize himself. He also babysits his pre-teen granddaughter an awful lot (Jack's daughter with his late with Magda) so that Jack can go do whatever he wants. He has some investments and lives comfortably.

Teddy potter - nicholas galitzine, late 20s early 30s. Bi leaning to gay afm industrial designer. Currently unemployed. Still living with his dad and feeling terribly bad over it. Been through some things and dealing with all of them.

Ted lupin - jensen ackles, early 40s. Fubar boi since almost birth, till doesnt understand why both of his parents had to go off and fight in a dooned battle against evil incarnate. UK actors are having a moment!

-Hero Fiennes Tiffin late of Guy Ritchie's THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE

is reporting back to Ritchie for the direct to series order for Amazon Prime's YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES.

Will Fiennes Tiffin's Holmes be the young version of Robert Downey Jr's Sherlock Holmes that Ritchie famously directed? By Ritchie's comments, I'm thinking the two are unrelated. "In ‘Young Sherlock’ we’re going to see an exhilarating new version of the detective everyone thinks they know in a way they’ve never imagined before,” said Ritchie. “We’re going to crack open this enigmatic character, find out what makes him tick, and learn how he becomes the genius we all love.”

The Fiennes' family are no stranger to the Holmes universe. Hero's uncle Ralph Fiennes played Moriarty in the 2018 comedy HOLMES & WATSON starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.

-Nicholas Galitzine has a hit Amazon film, hit songs on the chart, he's in FYC campaigns for both Amazon's RED WHITE AND ROYAL BLUE and Starz/Sky Atlantic's MARY & GEORGE and now he can put action hero under his belt. Galitzine has been tapped for the role they have seemingly been unable to give away - He-Man, Master of the Universe!

I know. Shocking.

It has been a hard road getting this property back into the live-action realm. Previously cast was Noah Centineo,

then bewildering Kyle Allen (WEST SIDE STORY, A HAUNTING IN VENICE)

and just slightly less bewildering Galitzine.

While the articles I've seen announcing Galitzine's casting say that the plot details are unknown, the film is still being directed by Travis Knight (BUMBLEBEE, KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS) and when he was announced as director the synopsis was: “10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades later, Prince Adam is whisked back across space to defend his home planet against the evil forces of Skeletor. But to defeat such a powerful villain, Prince Adam will first need to uncover the mysteries of his past and become He-Man: the most powerful man in the Universe!”

Until then, you can see Galitzine in Variety's ACTORS ON ACTORS (in support of MARY & GEORGE) where he is paired with Leo Woodall, (ONE DAY) and who will be in the next BRIDGET JONES film, BRIDGET JONES: MAD ABOUT THE BOY.

Galitzine's RED, WHITE AND ROYAL BLUE costar Taylor Zakhar Perez will also be in ACTORS ON ACTORS and is paired with his friend and THE KISSING BOOTH costar Joey King (WE WERE THE LUCKY ONES).

BIOGRAPHY.

the second oldest of five brothers and seemed to take after his oldest brother in way of being an unrelenting force of nature. cash wasn’t always bad, but he got bored easily and tended to delight in reactions he would get from people. the best reactions often came from tormenting people, at least the ones cash enjoyed the most.

his mom was the only one who could ever get through to him a little bit and that was just because she was ruthless and didn't put up with any of the kids’ bullshit.

unfortunately for her, she couldn't send them all to military school and cash was very aware of it. plus, he learned from the best: his older brother

in school he was notorious for terrorizing his fellow classmates, he made sure anyone who tried to bully his younger siblings thought twice about doing it again.

at home, he could be a terror to his siblings and his parents alike. cash loved his family, don’t get him wrong, he just struggled to express himself in a better way so his care was often shown in small ways that could easily go unnoticed, like fixing something that broke or cooking a meal.

in the eleventh grade cash was finally kicked out of school, he ended up getting his GED and was recruited to join the navy.

before he was deployed to basic training he married a friend to help her from getting deported then accidentally fell in love with her but she said she felt the same about him

the navy really gave him a place to shine, he discovered his knack for strategy, quick thinking, and thirst for violence went well with the military. he was quickly promoted into special forces, training to be a navy seal

after his first deployment, he got leave and the choice to end his service then if he wanted to. when he came home to make the decision with his wife and spend time with her only to find out she’d been cheating on him the whole time he was away. they got divorced and he shoved the heartache down and went right back to the navy

on one of his deployments he was wounded in action which resulted in him needing several skin graphs on his chest and bicep and extensive nerve damage among other things. if they would've let him deploy again once he healed he would've but they gave him a medical discharge and a purple heart, forcing him into retirement at the age of twenty-six

he still isn’t quite sure what to do with his life, he gets a lot of pent up energy that can get him into trouble if he doesn’t find somewhere to put it. mostly fights from antagonizing people for the fun of it

the one saving grace is having his siblings around and getting the job he did at the radio, the rest he’s just trying to figure as he goes.

Gabriel is the youngest of three siblings and he’s always made sure to play the youngest card because he knew that he could get whatever he wanted from his parents.

Gabriel spent a great deal of time in the kitchen with his mom and learning how to cook and bake and he has always cherished those moments since he was a little kid. 

While cooking was a hobby of his, he didn’t want it to become his career so what he did was go to school for business and got his degree in hospitality management. 

He was working as a general manager of a small restaurant that was a hole in the wall and nobody else wanted to run it. He found out his mom was ill and she hid it from the rest of the family because she didn’t want to interrupt their lives. 

When Gabriel was twenty-five years old, he lost his mom. She was the owner of Beanz and they always thought that they would take over as a family but in her will she ended up leaving it to Gabriel alone. He wanted to share with everyone in the family but he was afraid that they were going to contradict everything he wanted to do because sometimes he wasn’t taken seriously because of him being the baby of the family. 

When his mom passed, he was in college and he had a boyfriend who he loved dearly and he thought that he could make it work with them, but then he mentioned about wanting to move for his job and Gabriel couldn’t do it. He couldn’t give up Beanz because he knew he was destined to be the owner as it had always been his dream for him to have it passed down to him.
