Update on my situation:
The good news is- I have been offered a job!
The bad news - I don’t start until 16th September, which means no pay heck until the end of October.
So here I am again, asking for help. I have raised £140.00 of the £400 I need in order to pay rent and utilities on September 1st.
My commissions are open - they may be slightly delayed as I scramble to try and pick up bartending shifts anywhere that will take me, but I will fulfil them as quickly as I can.
Please help if you can, reblog as far as you can. Every little bit of help is so appreciated.

Cooney-Crush My Heart (Charli Grant x Cooney-Cross!Reader)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the purpose of this story, reader and Katrina lived in London a year before KCC and Charli
You always loved that football was something you shared with your sister. Both of you were now playing professionally in London. She’d just signed for Arsenal, while you’d been playing for Chelsea for just over a year. As well as that, you both played for the Australian national team. While the Australian cohort in London was constantly growing, somehow you ended up best friends with the England defender, Niamh Charles. She was your best mate, and you’d decided to move out of your rent-a-mum, Katrina’s, house and in with Niamh, after living with the older woman for the entirety of last season.
“One of my children is fleeing the nest then?” Katrina teased when you told her the news. You could only laugh with a nod. “Lucky, there will be room for Charli and Kyra now” she smiled.
“Charli is moving to England too?” You asked, rather quickly.
“Her transfer to Spurs just went through” Katrina informed you. You were the oldest of Katrina’s adopted kids. You were the one she trusted to have serious conversations with. The one she trusted with Harper, her actual child, the most. Her mum instincts were unmatched, and that’s how she knew the minute you and Charli were introduced that you both liked each other. You were quiet, unlike your younger sister, so she never thought to bring it up with you and make you awkward. “Harps, come say goodbye” Katrina shouted. The little toddler came running towards you, immediately demanding to be picked up.
“I’ll see you soon, kiddo” you pressed a kiss to her cheek and let her down as she ran off giggling “Thanks for everything” you said as you hugged Katrina.
“I still expect you to follow through on babysitting duties” Katrina smirked as you laughed.
“Anytime you need me” you smiled.
It was your actual mum that made you collect Kyra from the airport. But your sister had just failed to mention that a certain blonde would be with her and also needed a lift.
“You didn’t tell me your sister was coming” Charli punched Kyra as she caught you standing on your phone at the arrivals gate.
“My sister is here?” Kyra smiled, rubbing her arm from where Charli had just hit and looking around to try and spot you. “Y/n” Kyra shouted when she found you standing against a wall scrolling on your phone. You looked up with a smile, a smile which quickly turned to a look of anxiety when you noticed Charli beside her.
“Shit” you mumbled as you somehow managed to lift your hand up to wave to them. Kyra practically jumped into your arms, making you laugh before placing her back to the ground.
“My big dopey older sister” she chuckled.
“I am not the dopey one out of us too” you teased back, before looking to the blonde.
“Hi” Charli smiled.
“Hey” you smiled back, opening your arms for her to fall into, which she did. “I’ll take them” you said, pulling her suitcases, and only her suitcases, towards the exit.
“Wow thanks Y/n, don’t worry about me” Kyra shouted as you laughed.
“You’re both staying with Mini then?” You asked as Kyra and Charli both nodded.
“Don’t tell me we’re sharing a room” Kyra teased.
“God no” you laughed. “I moved in with Niamh” you explained as you slipped Charli’s bags into the boot of the car.
“Oh yeah, your girlfriend” Kyra teased while Charli’s smile quickly dropped off her face.
“Kyra how many times? She’s not my girlfriend” you rolled your eyes before finding Charli’s through the mirror. “Niamh is just a mate” you nodded before pulling your eyes towards the road. You pulled up outside Katrina’s house, helping the two, well Charli, carry her bags in. You hadn’t seen Katrina or Harper in a few days so you went in to say hello.
“All of my kids coming in at the same time” Katrina exaggerated a smile as the three of you walked through the door. “Harper look who’s here” she shouted as the toddler came running. She ran by Kyra and then Charli before jumping into your arms.
“Hello monkey” you laughed putting her up on your shoulders. “Kyra and Charli are here too, did you say hello?” you squeezed her legs as she waved to both of them. Charli looked at you in awe with how you interacted with the toddler.
“Where’s mummy?” Kyra asked the toddler who pointed towards the kitchen that Clara was in cooking dinner.
“Go tell mummy that we’re here” you told the toddler as you placed her carefully down on the ground and she ran off towards the kitchen, dragging Kyra with her.
“Are you staying for dinner then?” Katrina asked as you checked your watch.
“Uh” you hesitated.
“Stay?” Charli asked as your head shot up.
“Yeah, uh, yeah. I have time” you nodded. “You can take my old room. It’s bigger than the other one” you smiled at the blonde as you took her bags upstairs.
“Again, thank you Y/n” Kyra shouted from the kitchen before running after you with her own bags in hand.
“Stay?” Katrina teased in Charli’s tone of voice once you had both left ear shot.
“Shut up” Charli groaned.
“That is no way to speak to your mother” Katrina smirked. “If you wanted, I could talk to Kyra about-” she began.
“No, no. There is nothing to talk about” Charli shook her head.
“What? No! I want that room” Kyra shouted from upstairs.
“Piss off” you shouted back.
“Go help your other mum, I will sort this out” Katrina pushed Charli towards where Clara was in the kitchen before she went up to break up you and Kyra fighting. You had your little sister in a headlock when Katrina got to the top of the stairs.
“Let me go” Kyra demanded as you laughed.
“Little baby Kyra gets the little baby room” you teased with a smirk.
“Y/n, enough” Katrina huffed as you instantly let go. She wasn’t your real mum of course, but boy was she just as scary. “You, go downstairs” Katrina pointed at the staircase and looked on as you quickly jogged down. “You, put your stuff into that room and be down for dinner in the next five minutes” Katrina frowned as Kyra stumbled into the smaller bedroom with her bags.
You slid into the kitchen to find Charli standing alone. Clara had gone to get Harper changed and had squeezed your face gently as you passed each other in the hall.
“I didn’t know you were moving to London” you said to the younger girl, as you both were setting the table.
“It was a spur of the moment kind of thing” Charli giggled to herself.
“I can see why you and my sister are friends” you chuckled.
“London just seems so big” she gulped as you nodded.
“I definitely thought the same, but you get used to it” you shrugged.
“Maybe you could show me around?” Charli hinted.
“Yeah, absolutely, sure” you agreed, in three different ways. Charli wasn’t too sure how to react. She hadn’t expected you to say yes.
“Oh, um, great” she nodded. The rest of the family piled in as you plated up the food. Kyra pushed by Charli to sit beside you as the blonde sat opposite you, watching you and Kyra subtly kick each other under the table. You’d headed home straight after, back to you and Niamh’s place.
“That you?” Niamh shouted.
“If you is me, then yes” you called back making the girl laugh.
“You have dinner yet?” She asked.
“Yeah, I ate at Katrina’s” you nodded.
“Aw, mummy made you dinner?” She teased as you punched her in the arm. “How’s your sister?” She asked.
“Annoying as ever” you shrugged with a laugh. “Actually, Charli is here too” you mumbled as Niamh’s eyebrows shot up.
“As in Grant? As in your sister’s best friend that you are in love with?” She smirked.
“Shut up” you groaned.
“Sorry, I meant your sister’s best friend that you are secretly in love with” she whispered in a more sarcastic tone.
“I’m never drinking around you ever again” you laughed. It was a drunken night after you’d won the league that you told Niamh you really liked Charli. You thought she’d be too drunk to remember, but she’d brought it up just about every day since.
“Are you ever going to tell her?” She asked.
“No way” you shook your head. “Kyra would flip and anyway, it’s just a stupid little crush. She doesn’t like me that way” you shrugged. You’d just sat down on the couch with a mug of tea, and Niamh with food, starting to watch an episode of the show you were watching together when your phone beeped.
Charli
Hiiii
It was so nice to see you today!
Want to take me sight seeing tomorrow?
Y/n
Hey
No.
Charli
Stop being annoying
Y/n
The first sight you can see is my house
Charli
Fine
See you at 8am 😏
Y/n
Do not come to my house at 8am Charlotte Grant
Hello
Charli?
I’m serious
That is still night time.
Fine I’ll see you at 8am
You’d never been one for mornings. Early morning starts last season consisted of Katrina physically pulling you out of bed. But now, Niamh had taken over that job. But you got yourself up this morning to see Charli, and Niamh thought she was seeing things when you arrived into the kitchen at 7:30am.
“Am I dead?” She asked.
“I’m going out” you informed her.
“I just can’t believe you got yourself out of bed” Niamh laughed. “Are you meeting someone?” She asked.
“Yeah, Charli” you replied as she smirked and began to say something. “Don’t start, it’s too early” you huffed as she remained quiet. Niamh was the one that answered the door when it knocked, an equally nicely dressed Charli stood on the other side.
“Hey, you must be Charli” Niamh smiled.
“Yeah, it’s Niamh, right?” Charli said as your best friend nodded.
“Y/n is just in the living room. I think she may have fallen back asleep” Niamh laughed. “Be my guest at waking her up. It’s a daily struggle” Charli walked into the living room, where she found you asleep sitting up on the sofa.
“Y/n” she hummed softly while she gently rocking you.
“Mmm?” You mumbled.
“You still okay to come out?” She asked as you nodded and opened your eyes.
“Next time we go out we’re doing it at night time” you groaned as the blonde giggled.
“Would you rather spend the day in?” She asked. You debated it for a minute, but you’d actually planned to take her to some nice places, so you shook your head.
“Nah, we’ve got things to see” you smiled, rubbing your eyes and standing up. You took her to all the tourist attractions that didn’t cost a bomb. You also took her on the tube, and explained the different lines and how they worked. You actually had a really nice day.
“Any suggestions for food? I am starving” she mentioned as you walked back towards the station.
“Why don’t you come back to mine? I think Niamh’s made dinner” you suggested.
“Would she mind?” Charli asked.
“She usually cooks big portions” you laughed. You and Niamh both ate a lot of food, so you usually cooked to serve 6-7 people. You brought the girl back to your house, where Niamh had cooked and was more than happy to whip out another bowl for Charli.
“You want to stay and watch something? I can drop you back later if you’d like” You asked as Charli smiled and nodded. “I can go get you spare clothes, just so you’ll be a bit more comfortable” you said, putting your food to the side and jogging upstairs.
“So, how are you finding London?” Niamh asked Charli while digging into her food.
“Yeah, it’s definitely bigger than I imagined” she laughed.
“Yeah it is” Niamh nodded. “It’ll get easier” she reassured her. “Especially when you’ve got a personal bodyguard” she laughed.
“What do you mean?” Charli asked.
“Hello?” You mumbled when you answered the phone, coming down the stairs with spare clothes in hand.
“Y/n Cooney-Cross, where is Charli?” Katrina snapped down the phone.
“In my house?” You frowned. “Is everything alright?” You asked.
“She was meant to be home over an hour ago” she huffed.
“Sorry that’s my bad” you lied. “I will drop her home in about an hour, we’re just having dinner”
“Okay” Katrina sighed in relief that her other child was safe. “Also, while I have you, can you mind Harper tomorrow for a few hours?” She asked.
“Yeah of course” you smiled. “Everything alright?”
“Clara just has an appointment in the morning” she sounded stressed. Expanding a family was stressful.
“Well, I’ll see you in the morning then” you nodded.
“Great, I’ll bring Harper over to you at about 8”
Fantastic.
You got back into the living room with clothes, as both girls instantly fell silent. They seemed to be caught up in a very intense conversation that fell flat the second you got into the room.
“Here, you can get changed in my room” you said, handing Charli the clothes as she took them from you and headed to your bedroom to get changed. “I hope you don’t mind, I have to look after Harper in the morning” you told Niamh.
“It’s no issue” she smiled. She knew you idolised Katrina and you loved Harper as if she was your real sister. “But I will throw that child on you tomorrow if you are not awake when they get here” Niamh laughed.
“You won’t need to” you reassured her, but you really couldn’t offer any type of reassurance great enough to Niamh that she’d believe you.
“Your clothes are too big” Charli laughed as she came back in with your clothes looking baggy. KCC was small but y/iCC was big. Your heart dropped when you saw her in your clothes.
“Niamh might have something better” you stutter as you stood up but Charli grabbed your hand and squeezed it.
“It’s fine” she smiled, as you both sat back down next to each other. “I would much rather be in your clothes” she whispered. You grinned to yourself and hit play on the TV again and the three of you continued to watch the show.
“I’m gonna hit the hay” Niamh yawned when the show ended.
“It’s 9pm?” You laughed.
“Which is why it doesn’t bother me when I need to get up before 8am” Niamh smirked. “Make sure to clean up before you go to bed”
“Alright mum” you teased as Niamh headed off to bed. “Wanna go home?” You asked the girl sitting next to you.
“Can I stay for another while?” She asked and you nodded with a smile. You changed what was on the TV to a movie. Your issue with sleeping wasn’t limited to being difficult to wake up, you also fell asleep extremely quickly. Charli had also drifted off, letting her head fall ontop of yours that had already fallen onto her shoulder.
“Actually-” Niamh said as she re-entered the room, but stopped herself when she noticed you were both asleep. She got a blanket and put it over the two of you and sent Katrina off a message to let her know that you’d both fallen asleep and it was fine for Charli to stay. Katrina and Niamh kept in touch, like two mums co-parenting a child. You being the child in the scenario.
-
You woke the next morning to Charli asleep beside you and your arm wrapped around her waist. She was also dressed in your clothes and looked adorable, tucked up against you.
“Cha cha” you mumbled.
“Only Harper calls me that” she laughed.
“Yeah, well Harps is going to be here soon” you shrugged.
“Oh, Harper is already here” Niamh said as she came in with the toddler who demanded to be lifted up onto the couch that you and Charli had made into a make shift bed.
“Hey Harps” you smiled picking her up and plonking her in between you two. “Where’s mummy?” You asked.
“Mummy is gone. Mummy is angry with Y/n for being asleep, isn’t she Harper?” Niamh smirked as the toddler innocently nodded. “She said she’d be back around 2” Niamh nodded as she shuffled off to make breakfast.
“Movie day or London day?” You asked the toddler.
“London day” she shouted back.
“Okay, give me 5 minutes” you smiled as you picked her up and spun her around like an airplane before you dropped her beside Charli and got up to get changed.
“What’s a London day?” Charli asked.
“Oh, it’s when we go out and do something” you shrugged, leaving the room before wincing at your bluntness. “Would you want to come?” You asked, sauntering back into the room and seeing the girl smile. “Is that okay Harper? If Charli comes too?” You asked the already nodding toddler.
Charli got changed into her outfit from yesterday again. You grabbed a few slices of toast and gave Charli your car keys.
“No, I want train” Harper said, shaking her head and stomping her feet.
“Okay, okay, no car” you replied, pointing to the rack where you usually left them for Charli to put them back up.
The three of you headed out, and Charli could have melted with how good you were with Harper. The little toddler practically spent the entire day on your shoulders, or holding your hand. You’d do anything that child asked you to do, and that is why Katrina trusted you with her. You’d let Katrina know that you’d meet her back at her own house, to save her coming to yours.
“Come on, let’s get your mummies something before we bring you home” you smiled, tugging the little girls’ legs who was sat happily on your shoulders.
“This” Harper shouted, pointing at a bouquet of flowers as you made eyes with the awaiting florist. She was an attractive blonde, and definitely your type.
“Could I grab these, please?” You asked as she smiled at you.
“Of course. I’ll get them wrapped up for you” she picked them up and took them to the desk. “Is she yours?” She asked, eyes falling to Harper who was now on the ground yet firmly holding onto your hand.
“No, my little sister” you chuckled.
“She’s so cute” she giggled, “Are these for someone special?” She asked you, but Harper answered anyway.
“Mummies” Harper shouted, making grabby hands for the bouquet, making both you and the florist laugh. Charli watched on as the girl clearly was flirting with you, but you seemed oblivious. You paid for the flowers and headed out of the shop. With Harper back on your shoulders, you needed to hang on to her, so you handed Charli the bouquet of flowers. You liked how natural it felt handing her them. You noticed how happy she looked being handed them, even though she knew that they weren’t for her.
“You know she was flirting with you?” Charli laughed, but inside she was not laughing.
“Oh, uh, I don’t think so” you shook your head. You didn’t really care to look at other girls. It had always been Charli, ever since you first met her.
“You’re oblivious” she rolled her eyes.
“I just don’t care” you shrugged.
“Why? Do you have a girlfriend?” She asked.
“No” you shook your head. “There’s just nobody else that I find attractive” you said, hoping the girl would get the hint.
“Good” she replied, quietly. You were silent on the journey home. You got back to Katrina’s house, stopping in quickly to say hello and to make sure Harper didn’t destroy the flowers before they got to Clara and Katrina. “Thank you, for last night and today” Charli smiled.
“It’s no stress” you reciprocated her smile. You walked towards the door as Charli’s heart dropped. Maybe you were just oblivious when people tried to flirt with you. “Charli?” you said when you got to the door.
“Yeah?” She replied.
“Are you doing anything tomorrow?” You asked.
“Um, no. Why do you ask?” She blushed.
“Would you maybe-” every ounce of confidence you had gained was gone now, but when you caught her eye it all came rushing back. “Would you maybe want to go out?” You stuttered.
“Like, on a date?” She asked and you nodded. “Yeah, I would love that” she smiled.
“Cool, I’ll pick you up then at 7?”
“7am, right?” She teased. You playfully rolled your eyes and left the house, practically running home to go to sleep so it would be tomorrow.
“Did I hear that correctly?” Katrina smirked.
“Hear what?” Kyra asked, coming through the door.
“Y/n just asked Charli-” Katrina began.
“If I would rather Chelsea or Arsenal” Charli blurted out to interrupt Katrina.
“And what did you say? You better have said Arsenal because there is no Australians on the Chelsea team” Kyra protested. Everyone looked at Kyra with their mouths open, wondering if she was being serious. “Like, at Arsenal, you’ve got me, Steph, Caitlin. Who even plays for Chelsea?” Kyra pondered.
“Y/n/n” Harper shouted.
“Sam” Katrina added.
“A bunch of nobodies. That’s who” Kyra protested, storming upstairs. Katrina waited until she heard Kyra’s door shut to turn back to Charli.
“I don’t want to tell her” Charli whispered.
“As long as you both understand how much more complicated it gets if you don’t” Katrina said as Charli nodded. “Thank god you’re not my real kids” she chuckled leaving the room.
“If they were ours then two of them going on a date would be pretty awkward, no?” Clara laughed.
You basically busted through your own front door, bypassing the living room where Niamh was and going straight to the kitchen. You opened the fridge and grabbed some leftovers of Niamh’s cooking before joining her in the living room.
“You’re late” she frowned.
“Sorry I missed curfew again mum, please don’t ground me” you teased.
“Oi, that’s mine” she shouted at the bowl in your hands.
“What’s mine is yours, and what’s yours is mine Niamhy” you smirked, taking a forkful of food into your mouth as she groaned.
“Wanna do something tomorrow then?” She asked.
“Yeah, I’m free in the morning” you shrugged.
“As if you’re going to get up in the morning” she laughed. “Are you minding Harper or something later on?” She asked.
“Uh, no” you shook your head. “I have a date”
“A date? Does this mean you’re finally getting over your little sister’s best friend then?” Niamh laughed, picking up the remote to change over to the show you had been watching together. But when you didn’t respond, she knew by the look on your face who the date was with. “Your date is your little sister’s best friend” she sighed as you hummed. “Shit man, did you tell Kyra?” She asked.
“No, fuck no” you shook your head frantically. “She would ruin it”
“It’s your funeral” Niamh shrugged. “On the other side of things though, I am happy for you. I know you like her and she clearly likes you” Niamh smiled.
“Yeah, yeah just put your stupid show on” you laughed.
“It’s our show” Niamh protested before flicking it on. Like usual, you were asleep in seconds.
-
“Which friend?” Kyra asked as Charli got ready for your date. “A friend or a special friend?” She teased, wiggling her eyebrows.
“Why does it matter?” Charli groaned.
“So it’s a special friend then” Kyra smirked
“It’s just a dinner” Charli hummed.
“Well, I wanna meet them. Do I know them? Is it a guy? A girl? Do they play football? What club do they-” Kyra began firing out questions.
“Kyra enough, please” Charli sighed. “It’s a nothing with a nobody”
“Alright, if you say so” Kyra grinned, clearly up to something. “But if he, she or they don’t have you back by 11pm they’ll have to answer to mum” she skipped into her room and got ready herself. She was heading out with her Arsenal team mates tonight. Kyra had thankfully gone out when you arrived to collect Charli. You still had a key but you decided to knock.
“Did you lose your key?” Clara asked with a grin as she opened the door.
“I just thought it would be more respectful to knock” You were clearly anxious, but Clara knew exactly how to calm you down.
“Harper, guess who’s here” she shouted as the toddler came flying towards you out of nowhere.
“Y/n/n” she squealed as you picked her up.
“Harps” you chuckled, squeezing her tightly as she clung to you just as tight.
“That’s for you, kid” Katrina smiled at Charli who was applying some make-up in the mirror.
“Jesus, I am so nervous, my hands are sweating. Do you think it’s normal how sweaty my hands are?” She held them out as Katrina grabbed them, ignoring how sweaty they were to make it seem like it was in fact normal.
“Hey, listen to me. It’s okay to be nervous. I know she is too. But you both really like each other” Katrina reassured the now nodding girl. “After you” she gestured towards the door. You stood with Harper in your arms as you looked up to the shuffling noises from the top of the stairs. You couldn’t think straight when you saw how good she looked
“Holy fu-” you began but Clara nudged you into the arm. Hard enough to stop the next word leaving your mouth, but not too hard that you would drop Harper. You placed the toddler on the ground, before fixing your jacket.
“Hi” Charli smiled.
“Hey” you grinned. “Ready?” You asked as she nodded. She headed outside, as Katrina pulled you back.
“Good luck” she smiled, and gave you a quick hug. You waited for the door to close before you said what you’d been thinking.
“You look really nice” you smiled.
“Thank you” she beamed. “You do too” she added with a giggle. You took Charli to a fancy restaurant in central London and invited her back to your place afterwards, which she accepted. It was late when you’d gotten back to your house as you’d stayed after dinner to have a few drinks, you were drinking the non-alcoholic ones due to having the car.
Niamh was already in bed when you’d got home. You hadn’t been on your phone at all tonight as you were too caught up having a nice time with Charli. You’d missed Niamh’s message letting you know that Kyra was staying with you tonight because she forgot her key to Katrina’s, but had her one for your house. You’d went to get Charli spare clothes again, as she settled on the couch waiting for you to come back. She was finding something for both of you to watch when you came back with clothes. She headed to your bedroom to quickly get changed, while you grabbed some snacks from the kitchen. “These are so baggy” Charli giggled as she came in dressed in your clothes.
“You decide on a film?” You asked as she nodded and pulled you by the hand onto the couch. “Just keep it low, Niamh’s in bed” you said before she pressed play. The movie played lowly in the background, but it was merely background noise. Even after talking all through dinner and drinks, you just wanted to keep talking to her. “I meant to ask, did you like the place that we went to?” You asked as Charli smiled.
“Yeah, the food was really good. Thank you a lot for paying too, you didn’t need to do that” She was lightly tracing her fingers along your hand.
“Don’t be silly” you shook your head. “I asked you out, didn’t I?”
“I didn’t think you liked me, like that” Charli mumbled.
“I’ve liked you for a really long time, Charli” you stuttered out. It didn’t take long for the confidence to pick up and you leaned in to kiss her. She kissed you back, instantly. It got fairly intense, pretty quickly, mainly due to the fact you’d both been hung up on each other for years. She swung a leg over your lap and placed her hands to the back of your neck, while yours fell to her thighs. Your hands had just started to tug up the Chelsea T-shirt she was wearing.
“The fuck is this” Kyra demanded as you instantly broke apart. You were a bit shell shocked why your sister was here as you hadn’t seen Niamh’s message.
“Ky” you began, placing Charli back onto the couch and standing up.
“She’s my best friend” she shouted. You desperately tried to calm her down while also trying not to wake Niamh. Caitlin and Steph came through the door to make sure Kyra got in okay, only to walk into what was unfolding. “You’re both fucking dickheads. You’re meant to be my best friend and you’re meant to be my sister” Niamh was up now too, jogging downstairs.
“Kyra, come on” Caitlin frowned as she shoved the girl outside your house, deciding to take her to stay with her and Katie.
“Are you two okay?” Niamh asked as you sunk into the couch beside Charli.
“If it’s any consolation, honestly loving this” Steph smiled pointing to you two.
“Take me home” Charli said to Steph as she got up.
“Wait, Charli-” you pouted trying to reach out for her. But she was gone, Steph following off behind her after rubbing your shoulder and closing your front door.
“Shit man” Niamh grumbled as she brought you in for a hug. You didn’t really know what to do or what to say. You just stood rooted to the spot and felt numb. She eventually got you settled on the couch as she headed into the kitchen to make you tea. You were sat in the exact same position, hunkered up and staring at the wall when Niamh got back. “Here, mate” Niamh said, handing you a mug of tea.
“Thanks” you mumbled, taking it from her hands.
“It’ll all work out, you know?” Niamh smiled sympathetically and placed a hand on your shoulder. You just nodded unconvincingly as the two of you sat in silence and stared straight ahead.
“Can you just put something on TV?” You grumbled as Niamh nodded and hit it on. She usually sat on the armchair, beside the couch, but sat beside you now, and put her head on your shoulder. That’s how the two of you drifted off to sleep. Niamh was a good mate.
-
Caitlin had dropped Kyra back to her house the next morning, while Charli had ended up staying with Steph, and was still there.
“Morning sunshine” An oblivious Katrina smiled as Kyra pushed by her and went straight upstairs. “Caitlin?” Katrina frowned as to why her fellow Aussie teammate was stood in front of her.
“Morning” she groaned.
“Start talking” Katrina snapped. Caitlin explained everything very quietly so that Kyra couldn’t hear them talking. Katrina knew she had her work cut out for her. She thanked Caitlin for looking after Kyra and getting her home safely before she headed up to Kyra’s room and knocked. “You okay?” Katrina asked the young girl who was hunkered up on her bed.
“Did you know?” She asked. “About Y/n and Charli” she added to clarify what she meant, although Katrina knew what she meant.
“I knew they were going on a date” she nodded.
“Why would you not tell me?” Kyra groaned.
“It’s not my place and they asked me not to. They were both scared to upset you”
“How could they do this? Charli is meant to be my best friend and Y/n is my sister” Kyra huffed.
“Have you spoken to either of them?” Katrina asked as Kyra shook her head. “They really do like each other, I think you should talk to them”
“And what? Give them my blessing? I don’t think so” Kyra shook her head.
“Stop acting like a child” Katrina warned.
“What if they break up? I’ll lose my best friend or my sister. Or what if they both don’t talk to me?” Kyra pouted.
“But what if it works?” Katrina argued. She could tell that sent Kyra into a spiral so decided to leave her with her thoughts. “Come and get tea when you’ve settled” Katrina said before slipping out of the room and down the stairs. Niamh had convinced you to go and speak to Katrina, as she knew Katrina would be able to help process your thoughts a bit better. So, when you got to Katrina’s, it was just unfortunate the first person you met was a mopey Kyra coming downstairs.
“What do you want? Your girlfriend isn’t here” Kyra huffed.
“I just came by to-” you began before she cut you off.
“I don’t want to hear your stupid fucking apology” she shouted, a bit too loudly for a certain toddlers ears.
“Kyra” Katrina shouted. “Both of you give over. Now”. Kyra stomped back upstairs before stopping and turning to look down at you.
“I’m never going to be okay with it” she slammed her bedroom door and never came back out. Your body tensed up in a way it never had before. You felt like the worst person and the worst sister on the planet.
“You okay?” Katrina asked as you nodded.
“I’m sorry for shouting with Harper here” you mumbled.
“It wasn’t you” Katrina pouted at how visibly upset you looked and tried to reach for your arm.
“I need to, uh, get home” you shook your head and pulled away from her.
“Y/n/n” Harper shouted as your fingertips gripped the door handle. “Movie day, movie day” she demanded.
“Not today, Harper” Katrina cooed picking her up and the toddler pouted, making grabby hands for you to take her out of Katrina’s arms.
“Do you want to do movie day with me and Niamh?” You asked as the little girl nodded frantically. “Is that okay with mum?” You turned to Katrina.
“Only if you promise to cheer Y/n up” Katrina smiled, squishing Harper’s cheeks gently.
“Y/n/n sad?” Harper poked your face.
“Not anymore” you smiled, squeezing her cheek as she giggled and pulled your neck tightly for a hug.
You took Harper back with you to have a movie day in your house, which Niamh was more than happy to take part in. It also got Harper out of the house so when a certain blonde got home, no child had to be a witness to the screaming match that was bound to take place. Charli got home shortly after you’d left, with a concerned Steph following her in to talk to Katrina. Charli immediately ran upstairs to her bedroom.
“Mini, I wish I could describe the look on Y/n’s face when Charli left” Steph began.
“I don’t know what to do with them all” Katrina sighed.
“I’m glad they’re your kids and not mine” Steph chuckled. “Speaking of your kids, where is your actual one?”
“She’s over with Y/n and Niamh. I’m going to leave them two to work it out without little ears around” Katrina informed her. Not too long after Steph had left, Katrina and Clara also headed out, to give Charli and Kyra some space. Charli had just sat in her room all day watching reruns of shit TV when she was eventually disturbed by a knock on the door.
“Hey, uh, can we talk?” Kyra grumbled. Charli nodded and sat up on the bed as Kyra sat on the bottom. “Are you and my sister like-”
“It’s nothing” Charli shook her head.
“I didn’t walk in on nothing” Kyra frowned.
“It was one date and one kiss. It meant nothing. It won’t happen again” Charli was of course lying about it meaning nothing, but was trying to make peace. “So we’re fine, right?” Charli pouted.
“Yeah, it’s cool” Kyra nodded. “So, are you two like friends still?” She asked.
“We’ve always just been nothing, she’s just your sister” Charli shrugged.
You on the other hand, found it better to just avoid the two of them. You’d stopped coming by the house and just ignored Kyra’s calls or texts. You decided not to go back to Australia for Christmas, instead spending it with Niamh’s family after a lot of pestering that you couldn’t be alone. You’d almost become a different person. You’d barely looked in Kyra’s direction when you’d played her a few weeks ago in the league. Kyra did try to approach you to say hello but Niamh had interrupted to let her know it probably wasn’t the best idea. When it came to playing against Charli, you didn’t stick around after the game at all. You were too afraid to even look at her.
Kyra felt as though she was going crazy. Her fears of losing you were happening and nothing serious had even happened between you and Charli. So, your real mum and adopted mum had given Kyra some kind of a pep talk to try to fix things with you. And she did it in the only way she knew would make you agree to spend time with her.
“London day” Harper squeaked as she jumped on your bed while you were still asleep.
“Harps” you groaned, picking up your phone to check the time.
“She wanted a London day with her big sister” Kyra chuckled and startled you a bit.
“What are you doing here?” You frowned.
“London day” Harper demanded as you and your sister caught each other’s eye and laughed. You got changed quickly, lifting Harper up on your shoulders where she happily sat for the whole day. On the way back, you stopped into the same florist you had the day with Charli.
“Oh, look who’s back” the florist smirked as you came through the door.
“Harper, say hello” you smiled, squeezing her legs. The toddler gave a quick wave before giving you a tug to let you know she wanted to be put down. She walked around with Kyra to pick some flowers.
“You’re so cute with her” the girl mentioned with a flirty tone.
“Oh, uh, thanks” You laughed nervously.
“These flowers aren’t for someone special this time, are they?” She hinted as you shook your head. “Would it be weird if I asked you for your number?”
“You want my number?” You said in disbelief.
“Is that okay?” She asked.
“Uh, yeah” you nodded, taking her phone to put your number in. You had to move on eventually, right?
“I’ll text you” she smiled, putting her phone back in her pocket. She took the flowers from Harper and you paid for them, like usual.
“Did you get her number?” Kyra asked when you got outside.
“She asked for mine” you shrugged.
“And what? You just gave it to her? What about Charli?”
“What about Charli?” You frowned. “You said you wouldn’t be okay with it, and we haven’t spoke since”
“But you still like her?” Kyra asked.
“Feelings don’t just go away over night” you shrugged.
“It’s been four months” Kyra pointed out.
“Well I’ve really liked her for years so sorry for still feeling-”
“Years?”
“It doesn’t matter Kyra” you huffed.
“No but it does” she said softly.
“When I heard she was moving to London, I really thought it might happen” you sighed. “But it doesn’t matter, I don’t want you upset or-”
“Years, huh?” She asked and you nodded. “Harper, we got the wrong flowers” Kyra playfully pouted. “These aren’t mummies favourites, whose are they?” Kyra smirked.
“Cha cha” Harper giggled.
“Let’s go back” Kyra said, taking Harper from you and handing you the flowers. “Go tell her” Kyra smiled.
You stood puzzled before she shoved the flowers harder against your chest.
“You’re sure?” You asked as Kyra nodded with a smile, turning off with Harper on her shoulders now. You took off on a run towards Katrina’s, hoping that Charli would be home. And strangely, she was the only one home. She was startled by whoever was here. They had just burst through the front door and she got up to check who it was.
“Y/n?”
“Hey” you mumbled.
“Katrina isn’t here” she replied instead of greeting you.
“I came to see you, actually” you practically whispered. She didn’t answer so you just continued. “Listen, Charli, I really like you and I have liked you since the day we first met. I get this is awkward with Kyra and everything, but I want us to be something, even if that’s just friends” you stuttered out. She hadn’t said anything, and like the idiot you were, you were gearing up to say something else, which she seemed to sense because just as you opened your mouth to speak again, she stepped forward to put her lips on yours. You both melted into the kiss. This one a lot more gentle than the previous one you’d shared. “So you want to be friends then?” You smirked.
“So badly” she teased, kissing you again. “But what do we say to Kyra?” She winced.
“She’s surprisingly now on board” you shrugged. “Oh, these are for you” you smiled, handing her the flowers that had firmly stayed in your hand since you got here.
“Just to be clear, we are more than friends now, right?” She asked as you nodded and kissed her again.
“Jesus, not infront of the baby” Kyra shouted, covering Harper’s eyes as they came through the front door.
“Come on Harps, let’s go start dinner” you smiled, as the toddler came running after you towards the kitchen.
“That didn’t take long” Kyra laughed as Charli rolled her eyes playfully. “Come on, let’s help your little girlfriend make dinner then” she smirked as they headed towards the kitchen.
Funny enough, Kyra never had to worry about you and Charli breaking up.

10 Laps - Aitana Bonmati x Reader
Tumblr media
“Don’t even bother Y/N, she’s out of our league. I mean look at her!” Niamh nudges you whilst you are standing drooling over the goddess that is Aitana Bonmati. Her hair blowing gently in the wind, it feels almost like something you’d see in a movie. You’ve definitely watched her more than you should have, but who on earth could resist looking at her? Obviously not you.
“Focus on the competition Y/LN” Millie says also nudging you whilst grinning at your lovestruck look. You sigh and nod, continuing your pre-match team walk of the stadium whilst Barcelona do the same, eventually the two teams combine and conversations amongst the teams start.
“Y/N!” Keira gives you the biggest hug, you’re also finding Ona and Ingrid’s arms around you too.
“Ah I’ve missed you guys! How are you doing in sunny Spain?” You ask, you continue a nice conversation between the three of you. You’re then introduced properly to some of their teammates, one in particular you were obviously more inclined to get to know.
“Aita! C’mere!” Keira hollers over to Aitana to come and meet you, she offers you a gentle smile and gives you a hug in greeting, which you obviously hug her back, even with her being slightly shorter than you.
“Aita this is Y/N, Y/N this is the Ballon D’or winner, World Cup champion –” She is cut off by an elbow to the ribs from Aitana.
“Please, there’s no need to say all that, I’m just normal Aitana” She smiles.
“Pfff, that’s a lie, have you seen yourself? You’re beautiful, talented, the list could go on” You say, causing Aitana to break out in a blush.
“God nevermind I'm splitting this up already” Lucy says joining the conversation with her old teammates, jokingly shoving you away from Aitana.
“Lucy you never said your friend was this charming” Aitana grins at you.
“Yeah there’s a reason for that, now c’mon, we’ve gotta get going now Y/N” Lucy says as she tugs you away.
“What was that for?” You ask Millie joining her side, who sighs in response.
“Luce is quite protective of Aitana from her time in Barcelona, she’s had some rocky relationships and knows what you can be like” She says.
“Mills, you know I’m not like that, I’ve just had some rather unlucky relationships too” You groan back to her. She hugs you as the teams continue to split apart to carry on the walk around the pitch at Stamford Bridge.
━━━━━
The day is here, your big match. You’re already ahead in the first leg so you know you’ve just gotta keep that same energy going.
“You okay?” Guro nudges you, you’re sitting, bouncing your knee in the locker room whilst all your teammates are chatting or dancing about after your warm ups.
“Nervous” You say quietly to her. “I know I’m not normally a nervy person but today just, I have that weird feeling y'know?”. Guro gives you a hug and reassures you for a few minutes before you head out.
You start lining up and look over to the Barca team who are also making their way out to line up with you. You look at their line and see Aitana, also looking nervous beside you.
“I would try to say things to help you win and reassure you, but you’re dangerous to us” You say in spanish whilst nudging her, a quiet laugh coming from the spaniard.
“I appreciate the sentiment. But also good luck marking me” Aitana smiles up at you also speaking in Spanish, causing you to chuckle.
“No luck needed Bonmati” You wink back at her, making her laugh.
━━━━━
Safe to say luck was needed. You lost 2-0 after a long fought battle with marking Aitana, who proved difficult to mark. In the last few minutes the exhaustion really hit when you were struck with a strong tackle from Fridolina Rolfo, meaning you were helped off the pitch by some teammates for your substitution. The Spanish side celebrated their win, you and your teammates collapsed in sadness and exhaustion. You hobbled over, kneeling down on the grass attempting to console your sad teammates. You feel a gentle pat on your back, causing you to lift your head up and look at who it was, Alexia Putellas herself.
“Keep your head up, you were fantastic. I’d kill to have you play for us one day” She says to you in spanish and smiles at you whilst crouching down with her arm around you.
“It’d be a dream to represent Barca at some point in my life, I’ll take you up on that one day” You smile, knowing your contract ends soon and you’ve been gunning for going abroad at some point whilst you’re still young and with your dad being spanish, meant you’ve had to learn two languages growing up to appease both parents.
“Contract expires soon, no?” Alexia winks, causing you to chuckle and hug her back, she lifts you up so that you’re not sat in the mud. “Go thank your fans, they need you” She smiles sadly at you, you nod in response and hobble along to join the rest of the team doing the rounds.
“You and Alexia aye?” Erin nudges you gently, so that she doesn’t knock you over in your temporary crutches and boot.
“Not my type, but she did mention wanting to steal me for Barcelona one day” You joke, Erin's eyes widened at the statement, causing her to latch onto your arm.
“Absolutely not! You’re blue through and through Y/N!” She says frowning slightly, her accent somehow seeming even thicker with the added frustration.
“Erin, don’t be so hard on her. Y/N we will support you no matter what happens this year okay?” Guro says knowingly from the other side of you. She holds her hand out for you to hold onto her instead of using the crutches.
“Thanks Guro, I didn’t know how to break it to you all but, Chelsea hasn’t offered me a contract extension, they’re looking for newer talent apparently” You give a sad smile with them both visibly looking upset.
━━━━━
A few weeks later you played your final match for Chelsea, getting a proper send off from your childhood club and the best teammates. After a few days of back and forth with negotiating contracts with other teams, your eyes widen at an offer from the club you’ve dreamt about playing for, Barcelona.
You arrive at Camp Nou to do your pre-season and signing photoshoot ready for the announcement. You haven’t told your Chelsea mates that you in fact did end up signing for the team as you’ve been so busy with England friendlies whilst others were playing in the Olympics.
“Y/N Y/LN, about time” Alexia greets you whilst you’re having your photos taken in your new kit and number.
“Who did you kill to get me here then?” You banter back and forth for a few minutes whilst you’re still having your photos sorted.
“Come, let me show you the team, in nicer circumstances than the last?” She smiles gently. The girls are all at training at the other pitch which Alexia takes you off to, also kitted up ready alongside you.
“Girls, there’s someone you need to meet!” She yells from the sideline as the team is warming up.
“NO FUCKING WAY” Keira runs over to you and lifts you up, your national teammate always being this affectionate with you.
“Sorry I didn’t tell you Ke, it was all up in the air until, well I was in the air” You smile.
“Best surprise ever” Mapi comes over to hug you as well.
“Sorry again for that tackle” Frido gives you a big squeeze.
“Ah I’m just glad I’m on your side now” You joke, elbowing her.
“God you look good in a Barca shirt” Ona comes over and says, turning you around to see your name and number on the back whilst whistling appreciatively.
“Not already hitting on me when your girlfriend isn’t around” You jokingly roll your eyes at Ona.
“Ah we all know who you’d want to flirt with you mate” Keira winks.
“Y/N hi!” Aitana greets you with a big hug, Keira giving you a knowing look from behind Aitana as you blush at the interaction, causing Keira to roll her eyes at you with a smirk. You get called in by the coach to start training with the girls, luckily with Spanish being your second language you’ve managed to gel quickly into the session.
“Want some friendly competition Y/N?” Aitana nudges you. “I bet my team wins in our scrimmage”.
“Yeah? And what do I get if I win?” You smile.
“Mmm anything you want” She smiles “But if I win, I want to go on a date with you, even if it’s just a coffee before training”.
“Deal” You shake her hand, being split onto opposite teams and starting the friendly match between Aitana’s team and Frido’s team (you being on Frido’s). You’re already marking Aitana, working as hard as you can to defend your side's goal, knowing fully what Aitana is capable of.
“You’re not making this easy for me are you?” Aitana chuckles as you help her up from the grass after being tackled by you.
“Nuh uh, I’m serious about winning bets Bonmati” You wink as you run back to your position. After another 10 minutes you accidentally got too into your friendly bet that you tug Aitana by the training bib, causing her to go tumbling into you, knocking both of you onto the ground, luckily you softened her fall with your body.
“Caught you” You laugh at her shocked expression.
“Wouldn’t have fallen if you didn’t pull me so hard!” She says lifting herself up from you, instantly causing your face to become flushed.
The match ends 3-2 to your side, managing to get two assists for your team.
“I told you I was serious” You smirk going over to get water with her.
“It’s like you didn’t want to go on that date” She looks a bit deflated.
“Nah, because for my win, I’d like for you to take me out on a date, a tour of Barcelona on a day off” You smile nervously.
“Oh…OH! Yes! I mean, yeah sounds good I can do that” She tries to play it off cool and fails massively.
━━━━━ A few days later you find yourself on a tour with Aitana as your guide, you’ve already done most of the tourist attractions and historical parts but after a few hours she drags you to the top of the Montjuic mountain area by taking you up the cable cars. You both stand there admiring the view.
“It never gets old” She smiles over at the view, you take a photo of her admiring the view to which she doesn’t notice you taking the photo in the first place.
“Thank you by the way” You smile at her.
“Eh?” Aitana tilts her head at you.
“Thank you for giving me the tour of Barcelona, it’s been really nice to spend time with you…and not the rest of our teammates” You blush trying to not be awkward with your answer. Aitana grins at you and squeezes you into a hug.
“We should do this more often, yes?” Aitana says enthusiastically, you nod back at her and hug her even tighter.
Once your hug breaks apart you move closer to the wall and peer over at the vast landscape of the city, spotting the landmarks you’d toured earlier in the day, with Aitana pointing them out for you.
“So I was thinking we could always-” You cut her off with a kiss, hoping you had read the situation correctly. Luckily for you, you felt her soft lips moving in sync with yours, giving you the butterflies in an instant.
“-Go back to mine for food? And we can do more of that” She continues, looking quite flustered.
“I’d love that” You smile, feeling much more shy than before.
━━━━━ Around 3 months later you were out for a night out at a club with the Barca girls as a celebration of a win against Madrid CFF. You and Aitana have been dating since the day of your first kiss but you’ve chosen to keep it fairly quiet so you can start with privacy and keep away from prying eyes, but you haven’t necessarily been hiding it, still some obvious signs. Your teammates still think you’re just pining after Aitana after all of this time and still to this day, are trying their best to put you two together for training, or even media duties.
“You look beautiful by the way” You kiss Aitana on the cheek as she turns up to the group outing, a greeting that is normal amongst the Spaniards, with them being so affectionate with each other. Aitana quietly thanks you, smiling away at the compliment even after 3 months you’re still making her blush. After a few hours, and a few drinks, the majority of the squad are either on the dancefloor or sat in the reserved seating area you have. Aitana comes along and sits on your lap, and leans her head on your shoulder.
“Tired, my love?” You ask her.
“Mm, I’d much rather be at home right now, you, me and the bed sound great for many reasons” Aitana says just loud enough for you to hear.
“Fuck Aitana, why would you say that!” You groan, wiping your hand over your face in an attempt to clear the dirty thoughts of your girlfriend out of your mind, which you obviously fail at every time.
“Maybe I want you to take me home?” She smirks cheekily.
“Love, someone will catch on” You say seriously.
“Who cares, if it was up to me, I’d kiss you right now” She says confidently for once.
“Then do it” You challenge her, as soon as she hears those words your lips are connected, hands tangled in each other's hair and gripping the others clothes.
“Bathroom?” Aitana nods over to the bathroom which you both run off to, knowing that the team have definitely just seen what happened. You arrive in the bathroom and continue from where you left off minus a few items of clothing, until you’re interrupted by yelling.
“I KNOW WHAT YOU TWO ARE DOING, OUT!” Ona yells, banging on the outside of the bathroom cubicle door. You and Aitana both rush to put your discarded clothing back on and give her a quick peck before a lecture from Ona and most likely Alexia.
“I’m taking you home, now. And you, we will be talking about this” Ona frowns pointing at you, dragging Aitana away from you and outside of the club. Ingrid comes over and takes you away from the doorway whilst you’re protesting.
“Explain what the fuck just happened?” You say to Ingrid.
“Ona saw you two kissing out of nowhere and you both going off to the bathroom to do what she thought you would be doing, and she didn’t like it” Ingrid sighs with a sad smile.
“What did she think I was just gonna take advantage of Aitana?” You sigh.
“She’s protective of her best friend, you know that. She likes to keep an eye on Aitana for herself and Lucy and make sure she’s okay” Alexia chimes in, overhearing your conversation in the quiet corridor.
“Well clearly she’s not that observant” You laugh to yourself, the two girls look at you quizzically.
“We’ve been dating since that time I got her to take me on a tour of Barcelona?” You say to them, hoping they understand what you mean now. You can see the switch of them realising all of the signs they ignored over the last few months.
“Hold on, so it wasn’t some one night stand? The marks you had all over you the other week at training was from little innocent Aitana?” Alexia says shocked but seemingly impressed.
“Oh god, she’s far from innocent” You chuckle, thinking back to that night before training before receiving an elbow to the ribs from Mapi, who managed to sneak into the conversation behind you, without you realising. “I mean, no, we are saving it for marriage?” You joke.
“Someone needs to talk to Ona, our little Aitana has grown up” Mapi says whilst pretending to wipe a tear from her eye, Ingrid is already getting her phone out to call Ona to meet up and discuss the situation. After a while she finishes on the phone and says it’ll be best for you to all continue the conversation tomorrow before training, so you all call it a night after all of the drama.
━━━━━
The next day at training, luckily no one drank heavily so you’re all relatively in a good mood and good spirits for the training session you’re about to have. That is at least until Ona arrives with Aitana.
“Aita” You mumble quietly as she walks over to hug you tightly.
“Y/N, a word, alone?” Ona says sternly, nodding over to the side, you nod and follow her for privacy, your girlfriend giving you a look of concern as you walk away from her.
“Right, Aitana refused to talk about it, so go on Y/LN” Ona folds her arms.
“Aitana is my girlfriend and has been for a few months now” You bite back.
“Why didn’t you talk to me about it?” She asks.
“Because one, we wanted some privacy, and two, because I knew you’d act like this” You say, shaking your head at her.
“Like what?” She says angrily.
“Like someone who thinks I’m a fucking monster that’s going to break her heart? Ona, you’ve known me for years, come on now” You say “I know she’s your best friend but really?”. Ona’s head drops in realisation.
“Firstly…I’m sorry that I made you feel that way. Aitana was a mess after her last break up and I supported her the whole way, I couldn’t even imagine the thought of seeing her like that again. You’ve had your moments over the years but it was definitely wrong of me to assume the worst, I’m sorry” She sighs, realising you’re right.
“Thank you Ona, I really do care about her. Like a lot” You smile, leaning into the open arms of the girl.
“I know, come on, let's go see her then” She nods over at a worried looking Aitana, after hearing your raised voices.
“Hola bebita” She kisses your cheek and links her arm in yours.
“Ground rules, no pulling stunts like last night again” Ona says sternly to the both of you.
“What the sneaking off or the fact we were going to..well you know” You say embarrassed.
“Both” She smirks.
“Well unfortunately we regularly break one of those rules” Aitana winks at you, watching Ona work out which she meant.
“BONMATI NO” Ona yells after the shorter girl who has run off. Alexia comes over giggling at the sight of the two running around.
“What caused that?” Alexia chuckles.
“Oh Aita told Ona that we have sex regularly” You laugh, Alexia going wide eyed.
“Wait, you’ve had sex? Y/N ABSOLUTELY NOT!” She says now chasing after you. “You’re too young!”.
“ALE WE ARE BOTH 25 WHAT DO YOU MEAAAAAN” You yell laughing, trying to avoid the captain. Mapi stops you in your path.
“What is going on?” Frido asks from the side of Mapi.
“Y/N and Aitana are girlfriends AND they’ve had sex” Alexia says shocked with you rolling your eyes, Frido gasps.
“You’re too young for that!” Frido smacks your shoulder.
“We are both 25!” You frown laughing at the girl.
“You know what she means, we are all protective of our two babies, and now they’re….” Alexia shudders.
“Oh come on” You groan, Ona bringing Aitana over by her collar and many protests from Aitana.
“Come here often, chica?” You wink and flirt with Aitana who laughs.
“Actually quite a lot today it seems” She jokes.
“I think we’ve broken them all” You say looking around at your friends who are still confused by the relationship.
“Si, but not me. I had a feeling you two were up to something these last few weeks” Mapi grins.
“Wait what?” Ingrid says confused.
“Oh come on, no one noticed that at the last few parties they’d somehow manage to sneak off? Always together for everything? They have sleepovers?” Mapi says, shocked that no one else caught on. Everyone seems to hum in agreement and realisation. You grin at the group of girls around you whilst holding Aitana’s hand.
“What do you think they do at those sleepovers!” Ingrid says, groaning.
“WE ARE ADULTS WHO HAVE NEEDS” Aitana raises her voice.
“Exactly, and lucky for Aita I’m very good at fulfilling her needs” You tease, watching the older women of the group glare at you and Aitana grin.
“Right that’s enough” Alexia launches in your direction, grabbing the scruff of your shirt.
“Alexia please no!” You whine.
“10 laps, both of you” She says as you both groan. “And after training, you’re coming over to my apartment so we can go over some ground rules, and I want to get to know Y/N more as she is dating my Aitana” Alexia says.
After getting through the gruelling 10 laps underneath the Barcelona sun, you did keep your word and went over to Alexia’s apartment that same evening, to your surprise, it was a pleasant evening in which you gained her trust, and her blessing with ‘her Aitana’.

Before the Blues // Niamh Charles
Tumblr media
a/n: based off this request
When you signed for Real Madrid it felt euphoric.
It was a difficult decision to leave your hometown club in Sweden, but yet so easy. Real Madrid could offer opportunities and chances that you wouldn't have had in Sweden which was why you signed the contract - a new challenge. You wanted to grow in yourself, your technique and performance - besides Real was the first major club to offer you a contract.
You thought that dreams would come true at Real Madrid
But you quickly realized that that wasn‘t the case at all.
From a loving club who understood everything, no matter if it was something with your family, something work related or sickness to a club with a toxic environment. Players were fighting constantly and coaching staff was rude and mean towards their players. You also didn‘t like that the team didn’t seem like family at all, more focused on who was playing the best at the moment, who earned the most money, scored the most goals, etc - you simply didn‘t feel at home.
Talking to your manager about your thoughts and concerns, he took them very seriously as he looked for new offers from different clubs or even just for loan somewhere.
No options.
So you gave your best to show the world your talent, you started almost every game, scored goals and defended brilliantly.
After one and a half seasons, it seemed to work. Offers came flying in from the german league, French league, NWSL and WSL. The last one, your personal favourite. The league was competitive, many international players played there and each club seemed to have formed a family, something that was so important to you.
The rumour that you were joining Chelsea spread around rather quickly, your teammates catching on immediately. They didn‘t ask you if it was true, no. Instead they took your stuff, ripped it or threw it in the bin as they made your life horrible for the rest of the season. Besides destroying your stuff, they also tried to injure you in trainings or hurt you verbally. It was nothing but horrible and terrifying.
What‘s your biggest regret?
Real Madrid, you thought.
You were gone the moment the season ended, leaving the club as soon as you could - there was no bye bye, no thank you to the club - nothing.
Arriving in London felt like a fresh start, you hoped everything would turn out well but were prepared for the worst.
In your first few weeks in London, you got introduced to each of the players and coaching staff and also you got shown around the facility. You adapted to the teams playing style quickly, their healthy environment encouraging you to develop and to act confident on the pitch, even though you acted towards your teammates shy and reserved off the pitch.
It wasn’t that your new teammates were rude or anything, in fact they were so so kind and welcoming that you were shocked about this behavior. It felt weird being around them as the toxic handling of RM still left deep wounds and insecurities in you.
Chelsea seemed like the exact opposite to Madrid, though. Nothing at Chelsea seemed toxic. Everything was sorted out through communication and honesty - something you admired.
This can be my home.
Most of the time you stuck to your Swedish fellows yet slowly but surely you started to open up to the rest of the team and became a part of them.
This can be my family.
-
"Do you need help?" Niamh asked as you stood lost in the hall, not knowing where to go.
"I‘m looking for the gym?" your cheeks turned red under her intense gaze.
"Oh yes, let me show you" the girl smiled. Parts of you expected her to laugh at you but there was no sign of making fun.
This wasn‘t Real Madrid - this was Chelsea.
Feeling like she didn’t know you yet, she tried to make conversation "So, do you like fish and chips?" also she wasn‘t the biggest fan of awkward silences.
"I’ve never tried it" you admitted, the defender gasping, clutching her heart dramatically.
"You just killed me"
You giggled at her antics, smiling shyly as she seemed so shocked about the fact that you haven’t had the English delicacy.
The two of you continued your conversation as she walked you to the gym. You enjoyed talking to Niamh - she was attentive and genuinely interested in what you had to say.
"And here‘s the gym" she explained when you arrived at your destination.
"Thank you for showing me, I’ll try to remember it"
"Don’t worry" she watched you enter the gym, some of your teammates already doing their workouts. Niamh didn‘t know what was going trough her head - clearly not a lot - when she called after you, "I’ll pick you up at 7 tonight." you turned around, confused. "for fish and chips" she added quickly before she fled the scene.
You smiled to yourself, internally taking a note to send her your address.
-
Exactly at 7, the defender knocked on your door. Neither of you was wearing something fancy, just casual clothes as this wasn‘t a date.
While Niamh drove you to her favourite fish and chips place, the two of you talked about everything and nothing. Talking to Niamh felt like as if you knew her your whole life already. And even though you sometimes did not understand her jokes - due to the language barrier - she always made sure to explain them or the words that had made it difficult to understand.
You shared a surprisingly delicious meal together while you got to know each other better. It was easy to be her friend, she was kind and attentive, funny and charming and- well, your standards weren't exactly high, after everything you'd been through at Real Madrid any kindness you could get was something you gratefully accepted.
-
And just like that the weeks continued, you spent almost all of your free time with Niamh. She showed you around London, secret (food)spots and places she thought was important for you to know.
Though, she also loved to have a night in, just watching movies or literally anything that involved you.
Some of your team mates would say Niamh was smitten, also following you around like a lost puppy with at least on hand on your body.
The weather still new for you and you were cold? No problem, her jacket was already given to you.
Thirsty? Two bottles already next to you.
Tired? Piggyback and you could use her as a pillow.
Bored? Playing games.
She would do anything to see the smile of yours and the way your eyes shone.
"Do you mind me asking, you don’t talk much about Real Madrid, why‘s that? All people I’ve met who transferred here talk at least a bit of their old club but not you. I‘m curious. Well, I know you‘re shy but- do you miss your team? Is that just your way of grieving?" The defender asked who was laying beneath you on the couch. Your head was resting on her chest while her fingers absently played with your hair.
You didn’t reply but close your eyes, trying to convince her that you fell asleep, bored by the movie and so relaxed by her back scratches.
"Hey? Y/n- Oh" she looked down, seeing your closed eyes, "you sleepy girl. Always falling asleep when it‘s my choice of movie" she giggled before turning of the tv, letting you rest in peace.
-
Being back in Spain, in Madrid, wasn’t something you enjoyed but something that had to be done. It was your job. It was your job to play against your former club in the Champions League. You were ready to beat them, ready to show them what they lost and what you deserved. Because you truly did deserve better than the treatment you got in Spains capital.
"You okay?" your favourite Blue asked, grabbing your wrist as you walked back from the warm-ups.
"What? Yeah, yeah I’m okay" you mumbled, looking around, the opposing girls throwing glares in your direction, already gossiping.
You tried to walk away, back in the changing room but she stopped you again, "hey- whatever it is you can talk to me, okay? It doesn’t need to be now" she squeezed your hand, "I’m here for you. Remember that" she pulled you in for a hug, pressing a promising kiss to your forehead. A gesture that didn’t go unnoticed by some of the real girls.
"Thank you" you inhaled deeply before pulling back, "now let‘s go and smash them."
-
"How‘s your little girlfriend" one of the Real Madrid girls asked as Niamh stood ready for the corner, "she‘s quite a bitch, you‘ll realize soon" the opponent whispered before she cleared the corner which would have been the perfect opportunity to score for Chelsea if Niamh would‘ve jumped. But she didn‘t, her feet were too heavy.
Everybody was frustrated, Niamh especially. Her team was playing well, you were being incredibly but as soon as you had the ball, your face touched the ground, dangerous tackles sent your way.
"The next tackle‘s gonna end with broken ankles" someone whispered in Niamh‘s ear, "that snitch bitch"
Her brows furrowed, she was confused. Transfers are normal in this business, so what‘s the problem?
"What the fuck? Ref! That‘s a card!" your team mates argued, though the ref silenced your friends immediately.
-
"Ah!" you cried when your legs were taken out by someone in white once again. It was getting on Niamhs nerves. She was by your side in an instant, helping you up. Thankfully, the foul wasn’t as tragic as she thought it would be, the words 'broken ankles' haunting her.
And again, the ref didn‘t show a card towards the opposing team.
More snarky comments were sent her way throughout the game such as "she’s a whore", "it‘s sad that you’re in love with a loser", "she‘s nothing but a burden" and more.
It made her angry, furios even. How could they say something like that? So when yet another tackle came sliding in, she did the same. two can play a game, she thought.
Out of anger the young lioness pulled at a white jersey, drawing the foul. A yellow card was shown quickly, Niamh kind of proud of her card. She was protecting what she loved. And she really did love you, even if you didn‘t know that.
Sadly that hadn’t reduced her anger fully, just a bit. So, when the game was stopped due to a bloody nose (which belonged to you) all her madness was back and this time she wasn’t able to control it anymore. The whole game she had desperately tried to keep her cool, for her own sake, for you and for the team. But she couldn’t think anymore. You were bleeding. The Real Madrid player grinning as she watched you get treated.
When said person was near the defender, she stuck out her leg, body checking her to the ground. The opposing striker fell to the ground, rolling around, crying - being dramatic. Of course the ref immediately pulled the yellow card and showed it to Niamh.
The second yellow card which meant Niamh got sent off. There was no point in arguing with the ref, the decision was made and not debatable.
Niamh marched off the pitch, rudely replying to anyone that was near her.
-
The game ended 2-2.
you didn’t bother to shake hands with any of your former teammates but ran to the changing rooms.
You found the young Chelsea player sitting in the locker room, staring at the floor, hands holding her head, quiet sniffles escaping her.
"Hey" you whispered as you took a seat beside her, putting an arm around her which made her cry even more. She hugged you back, neither of you caring about each others sweat.
Trying to calm her down you cradled her head, whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
"What happened out there?"
Her posture stiffened, pulling back out of your grasps.
"Nothing" she turned away, avoiding your gaze.
"Niamh, something clearly happened out there and you‘re upset about it, talk to me"
The older girl was fighting an inner battle, embarrassed about her behavior and what her feelings had caused but not regretting fouling the other player just the outcome of it.
"Niamh-
"I‘m in love with you, okay?!" she looked at you, "i really like you and apparently everybody knows that but you" she admitted, cheeks turning red.
"You like me?" your eyes widened at her confession, it seemed impossible for someone like her to like someone like you.
Shrugging with her shoulders, she sheepishly replied, "Yeah"
"It‘s okay if you don-"
before she could finish her sentence, you slammed your lips against hers, your hands finding its way around her neck as hers went to rest on your hip.
"I do too"
"Finally!" you heard Sam yell, some other girls whistling at the sight in front of them.
This is my family.
-
That night you laid in the hotel bed with Niamh next to you, her hand holding yours as you both stared at the ceiling.
"Are we ever gonna talk about what happened at your time in Madrid?" she asked.
"Are we gonna talk about todays match?"
"Maybe some day" she replied and you did too, "maybe one day"
"But" the lioness sat up, prompting her weight on her elbow to look at you, "maybe i can take you on a date tomorrow" smiling shyly while she brushed a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
"I‘d like that"

floral fragrance
niamh charles x f!reader
nobody is obsessed with your signature scent like she is
warnings: established relationship. spicy at the end
Tumblr media
it is rainy and the grass damp beneath your boots kind of bothers you, however, you decide to not let that stress you out today. it smells nice outside, the post-rain atmosphere making the grass look so green and smell so earthy.
to the rest of the team, it's the floral fragrance they smell and not the rain. it trails you, a soft whisper of jasmine and rose that cuts through the sharpness of sweat and turf. it’s your signature, as much a part of you as the pink training kit clinging to your frame.
naimh, your girlfriend of three years, is already warming up across the field, her eyes finding you like they always do.
she’s all focus but the moment she spots you, her lips curve into a smile that’s just for you.
“you smell like a bloody garden again,” she teases later, when you’re stretching side by side. the woman’s voice is low, meant only for your ears, and her hand brushes yours deliberately as she adjusts her shin guards.
“you love it,” you shoot back grinning, “don’t pretend you’re not sniffing me every chance you get.”
naimh laughs with a sound that makes your chest feel light. she leans closer, her breath warm against your ear, “guilty, but i can’t help it when you’re this distracting.”
on the pitch, you and naimh move like you’re tethered by something invisible. you’re a midfielder, weaving through opponents as your sharp passes get to your forwards. naimh, your defender, is a shield, her presence steady.
during a tense moment against arsenal, an opponent barrels toward you. the ball is knocked off of your feet as you tumble to the ground but naimh is there, intercepting with a clean pass up to catarina that sends the ball rolling out of danger.
as she gets up, she winks at you. during a corner kick from cat, you catch a faint trace of your girlfriend’s cedarwood-scented deodorant mixing with your floral notes since she stands behind you.
after the whistle blows with london staying blue (ahhhh) you’re both sweaty and exhilarated.
naimh jogs over, slinging an arm around your shoulders.
“you were brilliant out there,” she says, her voice soft but proud, “that assist to sandy was filthy.”
“you weren’t bad yourself,” you reply, leaning into her. your fragrance clings to you even now, and you notice her inhale subtly, her eyes half-closing for a second.
“keep wearing that scent, and i’m not letting you out of my sight tonight,” she murmurs, her tone playful but edged with something deeper.
outside of football, your love blooms in quiet moments. you and naimh share a flat in london, a cozy space filled with plants you both tend to and framed photos of your travels while with the club team (and national team if you’re english).
one saturday morning, you’re in the kitchen, brewing coffee, your floral perfume lingering in the air. you’re wearing a loose sweater and jeans, your hair still slightly messy from nine hours of sleep, but naimh can’t stop staring.
she’s sprawled on the couch, pretending to scroll through her phone, but her eyes keep drifting to you.
“stop doing that. you’re gonna burn a hole through me,” you call out, pouring coffee into two mugs.
“sorry, can’t help it,” she says, setting her phone down and crossing the room. you know she is never sorry.
she wraps her arms around your waist from behind, her chin resting on your shoulder.
“you smell so good, it’s unfair. like, how am i supposed to function knowing you’re in my senses?”
you laugh while turning in her arms to face her, “you’re dramatic.”
“and you’re addictive,” she counters, pressing a soft kiss to your jaw. naimh’s lips linger, and you feel her breathe you in, like your scent is something she needs to ground herself.
“i’d bottle you if i could.”
you spend the day wandering through a local market, hand in hand. naimh insists on buying you a new perfume. it is a floral one, of course, with notes of peony and lily.
“it’s not as good as yours,” she says as you test it on your wrist, “but it’ll do for when you’re not around.”
you roll your eyes but spritz it on, and she pulls you close right there in the shop, ignoring the amused glance from the cashier.
“yep,” she says, her nose brushing your wrist, “still prefer the original.”
another evening, after a long training session, you’re both at a team dinner. the restaurant is calm but your teammates laughing and causing chaotic conversations. naimh’s attention is on you.
you’re seated next to her, your floral scent mingling with the aroma of pasta and wine. she’s got her hand resting on your thigh under the table, her thumb tracing lazy circles.
“you’re quiet tonight,” you say, leaning toward her.
“just thinking about how lucky i am,” she replies, her voice soft enough that only you can hear.
“you, this team, us. and, you know, how you smell better than anything in this place.”
you nudge her with your elbow, but your cheeks warm, “shut up, you’re such a simp.”
“only for you,” she says, squeezing your thigh gently. naimh’s bright eyes hold yours, and for a moment, the noise of the restaurant fades. it’s just you and her. teammates notice, but decide to just leave you to yourselves and leave the teasing for another day.
later, when you’re back home, the mood shifts. you’re in the bedroom, changing into pajamas, and naimh is watching you from the bed, her gaze intense. you catch her eye and pause, a smirk tugging at your lips.
“what?”
“come here,” she says, her voice low and inviting.
you do, and she pulls you onto her lap, her hands sliding under your shirt to rest on your hips. “you have no idea what you do to me,” she murmurs, her lips brushing your collarbone. your floral scent is stronger here, warm from your skin, and she breathes it in like it’s a drug.
naimh’s kisses trail lower, teasing but deliberate, and you feel her smile against your skin as you shiver.
she whispers, “you are going be the death of me.”
you laugh softly, but it catches in your throat as her hands wander, her touch light but electric. it’s a dance of restraint and want, her adoration woven into every brush of her lips. you pull her closer, and the world narrows to the heat of her, and the floral notes that cling to you.

Duck on a String III
Jessie Fleming x Child!Reader
Summary: The team meet your duck
Tumblr media
Mama lets you bring your red wagon to training today because you don't want Sir Quackers to be alone at home.
He's got a big cage to keep him safe with lots of blankets and water and food for him and you get to pull him along in your wagon.
You knighted him last night while you and Mama were playing kings and queens so now he's Sir Quackers instead of just Quackers and you love him very much.
Jessie doesn't want your duck being left alone in the house either. He's proven to be a bit of a menace by himself if the chewed-up boxes of cereal are anything to go by.
No.
He's much safer in his cage while he's still too small for the harness and leash Jessie's ordered for when he's older.
"Mama," You say," Will the others like Sir Quackers?"
You seem completely enamoured with him and, despite the fact that the duck seems to think he rules the house, Jessie loves him too.
"They'll love him," She assures you, fondly pushing your hair out of your face as you both approach the doors," Make sure you tell Magda just how thankful you are about her getting Quackers for you."
"Sir Quackers, Mama," You remind her," We knighted him."
"Oh, you're right. Sir Quackers. Sorry, duckie."
"That's okay! He's still getting used to his name too!"
Your proud entrance gets a bit hampered by the fact that your wagon gets caught at a strange angle so Jessie has to help you get it through the doorway.
By that point, the whole room has fallen silent and Magda has grown incredibly pale as you approach her.
"Thank you for my duck, Uncle Magda!"
Pernille scoffs next to her, muttering sarcastically," A dead egg, huh, Magda?"
"Er...You're the welcome," Magda manages to get out after a long bout of silence.
"His name is Sir Quackers!" You tell her, grabbing her by the hand and dragging her through the small crowd that has surrounded your wagon," Because ducks say quack and Mama and me knighted him. So he's Sir Quackers and not just Quackers."
"A duck, huh?" Erin snickers and Jessie buries her face in her hands, Niamh rubbing her shoulders.
"She was very excited."
"Do you know how to take care of the duck?"
"The vet sent us home with an information pack. Duckie's insiting we read it as her bedtime story every night."
"That's sweet," Niamh offers up," It shows she's taking this seriously."
"She keeps trying to sneak out of bed to play with him. I've had to move the duck into my room to make sure I catch her."
Erin can't stop snickering and soon Sam and Guro are laughing too.
"Is it that bad?" Niamh asks and Jessie has to begrudgingly shake her head.
She watches as you hold Magda hostage by your side, very excitedly waffling on about how cool Sir Quackers is and how he's your bestest friend in the world.
Magda looks unbelievably nervous, eyes wide as Pernille stares daggers at her. She ducks her head down to focus on you again, hoping that by showing interest, she can avoid whatever lecture Pernille's already planning in her head.
"Do you want to hold him?" You ask and Magda freeze, throat suddenly going dry.
"W-What?"
"Do you want to hold Sir Quackers?"
"Erm..."
"Are you scared, uncle Magda? That's okay! I'll hold him and you can stroke him!"
You show no fear as you pick Sir Quackers up and offer him to Magda to pet.
"I'm sorry about her," Pernille says, watching from a distance as she slides next to Jessie," She assured me it was dead."
"It's fine," Jessie assures her," I think it's nice Duckie has a friend now."
"Magda will willingly babysit them both."
"I can't ask that."
"You don't need to ask," Pernille says," It's what's going to happen. Magda can supervise duck play."
They both turn in sync to see Magda really awkwardly stroking Sir Quackers as he tries to eat her finger.
"Mama!" You say, looking at Jessie proudly," He is giving uncle Magda kisses!"

I hate having to do this again, but the stormy weather and our poor insulation has drained my account with still two weeks to go before I get paid next. The heating and electric bill came through at over £200, which I have paid because obviously being without electricity means no ability to work and being without heating would be animal cruelty toward our cats.
But it does mean that my balance to get food for the next two weeks looks like this:
Tumblr media
I can’t even promise to write something because work has got really hectic and I’m brain dead when I log off. ☹️
But if anyone has the inclination and the means to help me a little, I will find a way to thank you properly somehow.

Muscles | Lucy Bronze
Warning smut 18+, dom!Lucy, sub!reader, fingering, ab-riding, cunnilingus
Summary You get distracted by Lucy’s muscles in the gym
You hated gym days. With a passion.
It wasn’t that you hated the exercise, it was the fact that Lucy would show off her muscles and you couldn’t do anything.
Since you started dating Lucy them three years ago, you shared the facet you loved her muscles.
So when in the gym, lucy would wear a short sleeved shirt, the sleeves rolled up on her arms, showing her biceps and would constantly wipe her face with her shirt, showing off her abs.
Everyone knew it was to wind you up, it was a well known fact around the team.
You were stretching with Niamh whilst Lucy was doing weights.
You and Niamh were deep in conversation but as Lucy lifted her shirt for the first time that day, you couldn’t help but stare at her abs.
You’d seen them plenty of times before, but every time you saw them, you were amazed.
“Y/N? Did you hear me? Or are you too busy staring at Lucy?” Niamh teased you, knowing she’d caught you out.
“She does it on purpose.” You whined as you clearly saw Lucy smirking at your reaction.
“Just ignore her.” Niamh shrugged, not knowing just how hard it is for you to ignore it.
“You don’t understand, Niamh. She does it on purpose knowing that we can’t exactly do anything on camp.” You admitted, Niamh’s eyes widening as the realisation hit.
“Ohh. Thats why it’s so hard for you. You’re a naughty girl, Y/N.” Niamh teased you, purposefully trying to wind you up.
“Go away, Niamh.” You complained and walked away from her, leaving Niamh in a fit of laughter.
“Luce, please stop it.” You begged as you approached Lucy.
“Stop what, darling?” She asked, trying to act all innocent.
“You know what. It’s unfair.” You continued to complain as you rested your head on her shoulder, your whole body just wanting her touch. “I need you, Luce, and you can’t do anything so please stop it.”
“Who said we can’t do anything?” Lucy mumbled into your ear, a smirk appearing on her face.
“It’s obvious why we can’t.” You replied, looking around at all your teammates.
“Our rooms on the very top floor, everyone’s down here. If we slip out now, no one will know we’ve gone.” Lucy explained and took a hold of your hand, beginning to walk you both out of the gym.
“Luce, are you sure no one will know?” You asked her, escaping the smell of sweat and your teammates in the gym.
“I promise, babe. No one will know.” Lucy responded, pushing you to the wall and placing her lips on yours. “Jump.” You obeyed, jumping and placing your legs round her waist as she carried you towards the elevator.
“We can do this but you have to be quiet. I know everyone is downstairs but just in case someone walks by.” Lucy said, out of breath, as the elevator door closed.
“I’ll be quiet.” You agreed before connecting your lips with hers.
You moaned into the kiss as Lucy bit down on your bottom lip, entering her tongue.
The door opened and fortunately, no one was there waiting.
Lucy expertly made her way to your room without looking and disconnecting your lips.
Your breaths were heavy as Lucy searched for the key card, quickly finding it before walking into the room.
“Luce, please.” You begged for her to hurry up, desperate for her to do something, anything.
“Patience, babe.”
Lucy pushed you onto the bed, her climbing on top of you before leaning down to attack your neck.
You moaned as you watched her muscles harden.
Reaching out to wrap a hand around her biceps, Lucy reached for the bottom of your shirt, pulling it over your head.
Lucy groaned as you squeezed her bicep, the feeling of your hand on her muscles sending pleasure through her body.
She reached for your back, unclipping your bra with one hand and it fell of you.
At the same time, you reached for the bottom of Lucy’s shirt, pulling it off her to reveal her toned abs.
Lucy made her way to your breasts, your nipples hardening as Lucy’s tongue swiped over them.
Her name fell from your mouth as a whimper, desperate for her to hurry up.
Lucy left marks all down your body as she took your shorts and underwear off.
“My pretty girl.” Lucy mumbled as she planted a kiss on the inside of your thighs. “Remember, you have to be quite okay. I know it’s going to be hard but you can do it.”
You nodded your head in response, unable to form a sentence. The only thing on your mind was the thought of pleasure running through your body.
You let out a scream of pleasure, quickly wrapping your hand over your mouth, as Lucy made contact with your core.
“That’s it, pretty girl. Keep quiet, okay?” Lucy mumbled into your pussy, the vibrations sending waves of pleasure through every part of your body.
Your moans were muffled as Lucy continued to eat you out.
Lucy was an expert when it came to eating you out.
Her tongue knew exactly where to go, she knew exactly how much pressure you needed in order to cum.
As Lucy’s mouth wrapped around your clit, gently sucking on it, you let a cry, desperately wanting her to know how she was making you feel.
“Luce, I’m close. ‘m gonna cum, baby.” You managed to get out, your body starting to shake with pleasure.
“Be a good girl and make a mess for me.” Lucy murmured, before adding extra pressure on your clit to make you tumble over the edge.
With a small cry of Lucy’s name, you let go, coming all over Lucy’s face.
“Good girl.” Lucy praised, coming face to face with you and leaning down to kiss you.
You moaned into the kiss, tasting your self on her lips and tongue.
Somehow, without separating your lips, Lucy flipped you both so you were now straddling her legs.
Your hands made their way to her abs, outlining them as they tensed up.
“You love them, don’t you?” Lucy smirked, her hands landing on the back of yours.
You nodded, openly sharing the fact you did.
“Good, cause I want you to ride them.” Lucy revealed, and leant back in the pillows.
You nodded, obeying Lucy’s command, placing yourself on top of her abdomen.
Lucy rested her hands on either side of your waist, squeezing them as she helped you begin.
You started rocking your hips gently, your arousal spreading all over her abs making it easy for you to slide over them.
Your clit rubbed perfectly against her abs.
You threw your head back in pleasure and Lucy took that as an advantage to wrap her hand around your neck.
Her other hand tightened on your waist, increasing the speed of your movements.
“You’re doing so good for me, love.” She praised as you felt yourself getting closer and closer.
Lucy felt it too, she could feel your pussy clench as you continued to ride on her abs.
She let go of your neck and placed her hand back on its original spot on your hip, lifting you up from her abs.
“Luce, no! I was so close.” You whined, your breath uneven and erratic.
“I know, babe, but I’m going to make you feel better. I promise.” Lucy said, and you nodded your head, just wanting to feel pleasured.
Lucy flipped you so you were below her.
Her arms tensed up as she used it to support it.
Her fingers traced down the side of your body before they made their way to your pussy.
She entered one finger, kissing you as she inhaled the moans that left your mouth.
Your head was thrown all the way back as soon as she entered a second.
“You’re such a good girl. Taking my fingers.”
Lucy’s thrusts became quicker and harder as she made it her mission to throw you off the edge.
“Luce… I…” You tried to get out but failed.
“I can feel, love. Go on. Cum.” She commanded and with that, your whole body trembled, your eyes rolling to the back of your head.
“Fuck, Luce. That was incredible.” You told her, out of breath, as she rested her head on your chest.
“You’re incredible, baby.” She said, and a smile arose on both got our faces.
“Dinners ready! But from the sounds of it, I think Lucy’s already had her dinner.” You heard Millie shout from behind the door and the laughs of Millie and Rachel filled the corridor.
“Shit.” You said as you looked down at Lucy.
“Shit indeed.”

Tumblr media
The soft patter of footsteps pulls you from your sleep much earlier than usual, a familiar giggle echoing through the quiet house. As you stir, you recognize the laughter—the one that never fails to bring a smile to your face. With a quiet sigh, you slip out of bed and wander into the kitchen.
The room hums with life. The gentle clink of cutlery against porcelain mingles with hushed murmurs, shushes, and the sound of laughter that fills the space. The first rays of sunlight filter through the kitchen window, casting a warm glow over the scene.
At the kitchen island, Paul and Callum sit together, sharing a pancake. Callum picks at the edges, pulling out the chocolate chips poking through, giggling as Paul swipes a few from the bowl beside them. The moment feels peaceful, intimate in a way that tugs at your heartstrings.
Leaning against the doorframe, you can’t help but smile at how easily they fall into sync. Callum stretches across the plate, tugging the bowl of chocolate from Paul’s hands. “Uncle P, stop stealing the chocolate chips!”
Paul glances up, a mischievous glint in his eye as he chews dramatically. “I’m quality-checking them, mate.”
Callum bursts into uncontrollable giggles, his face alight with pure joy before stuffing a handful of chocolate into his mouth, just like his uncle.
You clear your throat softly, and they both turn toward you. Paul’s blue eyes crinkle warmly with a smile, a look mirrored almost perfectly in Callum’s face—Niamh’s eyes, the same striking shade of blue shared across their family.
“Mamaíín!” Callum cries, nearly toppling off his seat as he rushes toward you. His sticky hands wrap around your legs, his face nuzzling into your middle as he beams up, mouth smudged with chocolate. “We made pancakes!” he exclaims proudly, tugging you toward the counter. “Uncle Paul let me do the whisking!”
“Oh, did he?” you ask, raising an eyebrow at Paul.
Paul shrugs casually, leaning back in his chair. “He insisted. And I wasn’t about to argue with the chef.”
You chuckle softly, pulling out plates for yourself and Niamh. As you put the coffee on, ready to start the day, you feel Paul’s gaze linger on you for a moment before he turns back to Callum. Moments later, Niamh appears in the doorway, sharp as always, her notebook and phone balanced in one hand.
“Can I speak with you for a moment?” she asks.
Your eyes flick briefly to Paul, who raises an eyebrow as if sensing the shift in tone, before you follow Niamh into the hallway. Her usual composed demeanor falters ever so slightly as she turns back to you.
“I need the house to myself today,” she says bluntly. “Callum’s father is coming by to pick up a few things, and… it’s not something I want Callum around for.”
You blink in surprise, catching the strain in her voice. “Of course. I’d planned to take him out today anyway. It works perfectly.”
Her shoulders relax faintly, though her voice remains tight. “Thank you,” she murmurs. “Paul can go with you. He’s got nothing else to do, but I’d prefer Callum not be alone with him all day.” You understand the implication—trust him, but not entirely. “We’ll keep him busy.”
When you arrive at the community center, it’s buzzing with its usual chaos. The building, modest and tucked at the edge of town, is alive with bright posters, hand-painted murals, and the unmistakable scent of too many feet. Children squeal and race around, filling the space with noise and energy. You unclip Callum’s coat, and he bolts into the crowd, a toy airplane clutched in hand.
Paul trails behind as you find a seat in the parents’ waiting area. Hands shoved into his coat pockets, shoulders slightly hunched, he looks distinctly out of place.  “Didn’t think I’d ever feel intimidated by toddlers,” Paul murmurs softly.
“You’ll survive,” you reply, suppressing a grin at his unease.
“I don’t like being outnumbered,” he mutters, glancing nervously at the many curious eyes turned your way. You wave at a few familiar faces before settling into a chair. Paul watches the scene before him, bemused.
“This is madness,” he chuckles. “There’s no way we were this loud as kids.”
“You probably were,” you tease lightly.
Callum soon spots you both, his voice rising above the chatter. “Look! I’m making a castle!” He grins, holding up a tower of oversized blocks. Paul smiles. “You’re an architect, mate.”
Just then, a tall brunette in a fitted sweater saunters over, her smile a touch too bright, her gaze fixed on Paul. “Well, well, Callum’s uncle, is it?” she purrs, her words dripping with sugary charm. “I thought you were a myth. It’s nice to finally see you back in town.”
Paul straightens awkwardly, caught off guard. “Uh… just visiting for the holidays.”
Her smile tightens as she gives you a once-over, her silent question clear: What’s he doing here with you?
“How lovely for you,” another woman chimes in, her tone sharper than her smile. “Having company must make things so much easier.”
Your cheeks flush at the insinuation, a pit settling in your stomach. “Oh, it’s not—” you begin, glancing at Paul, who has been pulled into Callum’s growing block tower project.
“Isn’t it?” the brunette—Maeve, you realize—drawls smugly. “I mean, who wouldn’t want someone… handsome to share the load?”
A third woman, gentler but still teasing, interjects. “Oh, leave her be. You’re just jealous, Maeve. If I had someone like him tagging along, I’d be smiling too.”
Maeve laughs sharply. “Careful, sweetie, or we might just steal him from you.”
Before you can muster a reply that doesn’t sound defensive, Callum’s small hands tug at yours, breaking the tension like only he can. “Mamaíín, we need you! Uncle Paul keeps messing up our pirate tower.”
Relieved, you let Callum drag you toward the community garden, an open space enclosed by glass walls that let the crisp winter light stream in. The air is a little sharper, less dull than it is outside, the walls only offering you a little bit of shelter from the December air.
You crouch beside him, seeing the remnants of a tower. Callum is huffing, taking sticks and stones from Paul’s hands as he sits next to the partial tower.
“We need the strong ones,” Callum declares, shifting through smaller ones in his hands and tossing them away. “This one’s going to be really tall. Tall enough to see all the pirates!”
You laugh at how he keeps taking sticks from Paul, frustrated at his uncle's lack of pirate tower building knowledge. You brush hair from your face as you collect bigger stones. “We’ll need a solid base first. Otherwise, the tower will topple as soon as there’s any wind.”
Callum nods solemnly, getting down to help you. Paul sits still, watching you both. His arms are crossed over his chest, his posture relaxed but his gaze almost contemplative.
“Callum, just look at how careful she is,” he says suddenly, his tone light.
You glance up, a little confused. “Careful?” Callum makes the same face, watching as his uncle shifts in his spot.
He gestures vaguely to the stick in your hands, lucking one out of your open palm. “The way you handle things. Like a bird—delicate, precise.”
Before you can even think of a response, Callum’s face lights up, his giggle bright. “Oh, yes! Like a mamaíín bird!”
You blink, startled. “A what?”
Callum giggles, clearly delighted with himself. “A mamaíín bird! You’re little, and you take care of everything, like the birdies do!”
Paul chuckles softly, crouching beside Callum. “He’s got a point. You are a bit bird-like.”
You shake your head, laughing under your breath. “I’m not sure if that’s a compliment or not.”
Paul grins, his blue eyes meeting yours for a beat longer than necessary. “Oh, it is. Trust me, Birdie.”
The way he says it—low, teasing, yet laced with warmth—sends an unexpected flutter in your chest. You turn your face away, hoping to hide the flush on your cheeks, but the name lingers in the air settling into something unspoken yet significant.
“Mamaíín bird, can we make a nest too?” Callum tugs at your sleeve, breaking the moment.
You laugh, ruffling his hair. “Let’s finish the tower first, and then we’ll see about a nest.”
Paul leans back on his heels, his smirk widening. “Careful, Birdie. Looks like you’re getting roped into full-time bird duties.”
You glance at him, your smile faint but genuine. “As long as you’re willing to help.”
“Of course,” he replies, his voice playful but steady.
You sit there for another half hour, the tower collapsing a few more times before it finally stands. Callum, satisfied, dashes off to collect pirate swords, leaving you and Paul behind. He sits quietly, twisting a twig between his fingers.
“He’s been calling me that for a while—mamaíín,” you say softly, breaking the silence. “But he won’t tell me what it means.”
Paul raises an eyebrow, a faint smile tugging at his lips. “Has he now?”
You hum, brushing dirt from your hands. “And Niamh won’t explain it either, something about not wanting to bring too much attention to it.”
Paul chuckles softly, his tone turning more serious. “Mamaíín… it’s Irish. A diminutive, like a pet name. It means ‘little mummy.’”
Your breath catches slightly as you glance at him. “Little mummy?”
Paul nods, his gaze steady, thoughtful. “It’s affectionate. It’s how he sees you. Someone who takes care of him. Someone he trusts.”
The weight of the explanation settles warmly in your chest, heavy and tender all at once. “Oh,” you murmur, turning back to the half-finished tower. “That’s… sweet.”
“It is,” Paul agrees quietly. “And fitting.”
There’s something in his voice—gentle, sincere—that makes your cheeks flush. Before you can respond, Callum charges back, shouting about needing rocks for a cannon.
Paul ruffles Callum’s hair as he joins in, leaving you alone for just a moment to let the weight of his words settle.
✧・゚: ✧・゚:
The playgroup winds down mid-afternoon, the earlier chaos subsiding as the children begin to tire out and parents begin gathering their things. Callum’s cheeks are flushed as he clings to Paul, one hand caught in his while the other wobbles his airplane.
“Seems like you’ve got a fanclub now,” you murmur to Paul as you tug Callum’s jacket back on.
Paul groans faintly, clearly uncomfortable from all the wandering eyes and snarky comments. “Yeah, Maeve’s got me down as her next trophy.”
You laugh under your breath, but the moment is cut short as your phone buzzes in your back pocket with a message from Niamh.
Niamh: This is taking a little longer than expected, would you be able to pick up some groceries on your way home? I’ll send you a list.
You frown slightly at the message, feeling for her frustration. Soon another message pings through, the list of items she needs.
“Everything alright?” Paul asks, crouching to help Callum with his snow boots.
“Niamh needs a few things from the shop,” you say, tucking your phone back into your pocket. “Since we’re already out.”
Paul straightens up, almost effortlessly scooping Callum up into his arms. “Groceries it is, then. My culinary expertise might come in handy.”
“You mean sneaking crisps into the cart?” you tease lightly.
Paul smirks, poking at Callum’s red cheeks. “Can’t let him grow up without the essentials.”
The town’s grocery store is quiet when you get there, smelling of fresh bread and cleaning supplies. Callum rides in the cart, humming to himself as he waves his airplane around.
“Alright,” you start, scrolling through Niamh’s list on your phone. “Alright,” you say, scrolling through Niamh’s list on your phone. “Milk, bread, eggs… and tea.”
“Don’t forget snacks,” Paul chimes in, grabbing a bag of crisps off the shelf and tossing it into the cart with practiced ease.
You glare at him playfully. “Those weren’t on the list.”
Paul simply shrugs, pushing the cart forward. “Snacks are the universal currency, right Callum?”
“Yes!” the boy pipes up, snagging a bag of treats from his uncle's hands. You roll your eyes but can't stop the giggle that falls from your lips as you continue down the aisles, Paul slipping forbidden treats into the cart whenever you turn away, Callum laughing conspiratorially under his breath.
At the dairy section, you stop to reach for a carton of milk, looking for a specific brand. Before you can react, Paul, ever observant, grabs it for you, handing it over as Callum babbles about pirates and towers.
“Thanks,” you murmur, a smile trying to make its way onto your face.
“Anytime, Birdie,” the man replies, the nickname slipping out so effortlessly you feel like you could drop the carton of milk he just slid into your hands. You narrow your eyes at him, but his attention is elsewhere, already halfway down the aisle, rambling about what brand of tea you should get.
As you catch up to the pair of boys, a woman pauses next to you. She’s a stout elderly woman, her long silver hair cascading down her back. She watches as Paul listens in wonder as Callum chatters away about “canon towers.”
“Well, don’t you have a handsome boy there,” she coos, smiling at him warmly. Callum beams, holding up his toy airplane for her to admire.
The woman then looks between you and Paul, her sharp eyes twinkling with curiosity. “You two must be so proud. He’s the spitting image of his father.”
Your heart jolts. “Oh—no, he’s—”
Paul stammers at the same time, “I’m just his uncle—”
The woman waves a hand dismissively, clearly not listening. “It’s always the way, isn’t it? The mother does all the work—nine months of carrying, all those sleepless nights—only for the little one to come out looking like his da.”
You freeze, heat creeping up your neck, unsure whether to laugh or correct her again. Paul, equally flustered, rubs the back of his neck. “Er—he’s not mine. She’s—”
The woman isn’t paying attention anymore, her focus back on Callum as she coos again, “Lucky boy to have such loving parents.”
Before either of you can say another word, she shuffles off, leaving you both standing there in stunned silence.
Callum, oblivious, turns in the cart and beams up at Paul. “Uncle Paul, did you hear? I look like you!”
Pail blinks, letting out a quiet slightly awkward laugh. “Seems like the Mescal genes are strong in you, mate.”
You stare down at the tea in your hands, unsure how to respond. Callum, thankfully, breaks the tension. “Uncle Paul, look! It’s pirate tea!” He’s holding a box with cockatoos on it, a hibiscus flower on the front.
Paul clears his throat, ruffling Callum’s hair as he grins faintly. “Yeah, that’s exactly what it is.”
The awkward feeling lingers between you as you make your way to the checkout. Paul insists on loading the bags into the cart while once again Callum chatters away, entirely oblivious to the exchange.
As you step outside, the sky now much darker than before, Paul finally breaks the silence. “That was… something.”
You let out a soft chuckle, shaking your head. “It happens more often than you’d think.”
Paul raises an eyebrow, “People thinking I’m your husband?”
You roll your eyes, the teasing note in his voice making your cheeks warm up for the umpteenth time today. “People making assumptions. Families come in different shapes and sizes, you know.”
Paul glances at you, something thoughtful in his expression, but he doesn’t say anything more. Instead, he focuses on Callum, who’s waving his airplane toward the horizon like it’s searching for treasure.
“Where to next, Captain?” Paul asks, his voice light. He pokes at Callum's cheek, using one hand to push the full cart.
“Home!” Callum shouts, his enthusiasm unending. He twists in the cart, pointing towards the car as if to say Onward! Letting out a whoop, Paul pushes off the ground, hopping onto the bottom rail of the cart. He balances on it as it drifts forward.
You smile softly as you lead the way to the car, feeling a warmth you can’t quite explain settle in your chest.
✧・゚: ✧・゚:
The house is quiet when you arrive, the silence feeling heavier than it did before. There's a single glass of wine sitting on the counter, its contents empty, save for a few drops at the bottom.
Callum charges up to play, disappearing and fully unaware of the somber mood in the house. You and Paul settle into unpacking the groceries in the kitchen, the soft rustle of bags and clinking of glass on the counter filling the empty room.
It's not long before Niamh appears in the doorway, almost echoing this morning’s encounter. Her shirt isn’t as crisp as it was this morning, her eyes now rimmed with red and remnants of mascara. She looks exhausted, pieces of her auburn hair slipping loose from her carefully coiffed bun.
“Groceries?” she asks, her voice slightly clipped.
“All here,” you reply, gesturing to the half empty bags that are still left lined up on the counter.
Her eyes skim over the unpacked items, flicking over to Paul briefly before settling back on you. “Thank you, I appreciated it.”
The words are simple but her tone is strained, you can feel the weight on her shoulders.
“Are you okay?” you ask softly, drawing closer to where she’s standing by the archway. Her arms are crossed over her chest—a sort of coping mechanism she’s passed on to Callum.
“It’s been a long day. I had… some conversations that were necessary.” Her words falter for a moment, her gaze dropping before she masks it quickly. “Nothing to worry about.”
You glance at Paul, who’s watching Niamh carefully, his brows furrowed. There’s questions in his eyes but he doesn’t voice them. He lets her stand on her own, just as she always has.
“If you need anything…” you begin gently, reaching out to put a hand on her arm but she pulls it away before it lands. She shakes her head.
“Thank you. You’ve done enough,” she says. On any other occasion, you’d feel a bite to her words but they sound more like a quiet admission. Her eyes soften as she meets yours. “He’s happy with you, that’s what matters.”
The weight of the words settle in the air around you, you’re not sure whether it’s a compliment or something else—a reminder of what she’s failing to do herself.
Niamh’s gaze flicks to Paul again, lingering. “Callum shouldn’t be up late. Keep an eye on him.”
With that, she leaves the kitchen, her footsteps soft as she retreats upstairs.

would you write established relationship alpha niamh helping reader with their heat but being away for the first day or two for an event or smth so reader is extra desperate for her by the time she’s home 🫶🫶
Let me help you
Tumblr media
Warnings/Notes: 18+ Smut, MINORS DNI, omegaverse au, Alpha Niamh (She has a dick), Omega Reader (AFAB ANATOMY), mentions of heats, creampies, P in V sex, daddy kink, marking
You had gone into head a few days ago, trying to deal with it on your own to no avail. Niamh was away currently and had been for a few days, traveling for an important match. It’s why you didn’t call her. You couldn’t.
The minute you so much as suggested you were in heat she’d be speeding home to you, match be damned. You couldn’t have that, her career was important and she wouldn’t get far if she was always abandoning matches for you.
You’d taken pain killers and had been sleeping the days away, knowing if you started touching yourself and didn’t get a knot soon it would feel so much worse.
Unbeknownst to you, Niamh was coming home a day earlier than planned and was about to walk in any minute.
-
“Baby?” Niamh called out into the seemingly empty house, no noise greeting her back. Not even the low hum of the TV or the sound of the shower running. Strange.
Her face pulling in confusion she sets her kitbag down and slips off her jacket, leaving her in her shorts and chelsea hoodie.
Kicking her shoes off next she makes her way upstairs, feet hurriedly slapping against the hardwood floor as she hurries to your shared bedroom.
“Baby where are yo-“ her sentence falls flat as she pushes open the door and sees you.
Lying naked on the bed shivering from the slight fever your neglected head has set in and tears streaming down your flushed cheeks. “N-N-Niamh….” You whimper, lip wobbling as you reach a shakey hand to her.
“It’s okay baby, I’m here” she coos slipping off her shirts and hoodie, her underwear following as she throws everything in a heap by the bed.
Your girlfriend, now naked, hurriedly crawling on top of you and pulling you into a sweet kiss. “Let me help you baby” she whispers as she trails kisses across your neck coming to a halt at your mating gland softly sucking and nibbling at it as she spreads your legs.
She guides you softly into the mating press position groaning when she runs her tip through your folds and feels how wet you are. Slick practically dripping from you as she guides herself in both of your heads being thrown back, eyes rolling in pleasure.
“Fuck baby, that’s it let daddy take care of you” she groans leaning to kiss and bite across your neck.
She sets a deep soft pace, fucking into you lovingly as she holds you close. Guiding your legs to lock around her as she sinks deeper relishing your moans and whines as she thrusts deep into you.
“Daddy please” you whine tugging her closer helplessly just needing to cum, she chuckles and nibbles onto your mate gland getting you ready to be re-marked.
Her land slips down to rub at your clit softly bringing you to the edge as she nears her own. Her breathing becoming pants and groans as she twitches inside you.
“That’s it, that’s it baby. Cum for daddy” she whispers against your neck shooting a load deep into you as you clench hard cumming around her cock.
You whimper feeling hot spurts of cum continuously shoot into you as she eases her knot in, slipping it in with a pop the two of you letting out needy groans before she bites down onto your neck, re-marking you as her omega. Soothing your whines as she rubs your clit, your eyes flickering shut as all the sensations.

To your rescue
Lauren Hemp x Charles!Reader
summary~ You get into an argument with your girlfriend. You’re stubborn, and Lauren is too, but luckily another Charles is there to help.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Being Niamh Charles’ little sister you were meant to be a footballer too. You grew up playing all sorts of sports with your older sister. Your household was very competitive, not just sports, card games too and that’s what got you to where you are now.
Niamh always had your back. She joked and complained a bit about you whenever you were with her. But you knew she spoke highly of you to others. Your bond had grown even stronger through your shared love for football.
Niamh ended up playing for Chelsea where as you ended up at another blue club, Manchester City. You got to play with your sister’s bestfriend Lauren.
Lauren is a very interesting person. And that might’ve been what got you to love her so much. Nobody really knew what was going on in that head of hers, if there was even anything going on at all.
You honestly don’t remember when they started to be friends but Lauren was always near. Niamh and Lauren were always together, it was like they could know what the other was thinking without even saying anything.
Lauren was already part of the family by the time you started dating. No matter how many hints you gave her, she didn’t seem to notice them, Lauren was absolutely oblivious to them.
You’d absolutely had it by the time you admitted your feelings out loud. You had taken her out to a coffee shop after training, it wasn’t commen for you to get some alone time with her.
You sat her down after ordering and got straight to the point. “Lauren i really like you and i’d love to go on a real date sometime.” you told her.
Lauren was a bit shocked at your confession. “Uuh okay, yeah same.” she answered.
You had to laugh a little at that. She didn’t expect it but it didn’t necessarily surprise her either. But as fast as your question was answered she went to another subject.
Lauren didn’t have to think much about accepting your offer. She had talked about you a few times too many to your sister. Niamh caught on and asked Lauren about it. She may not have realised she was in love with you but when Niamh asked her it all clicked. She has loved you for longer than she knew.
Niamh was okay with it and there was nothing stopping her but she just didn’t have the balls to ask you out and she didn’t know if you liked her anyway.
But god was she happy you asked her, otherwise this would never have gotten any further than longing stares.
If you hadn’t asked her you wouldn’t be in a longterm relationship, footballing together, living with each other and loving each other so openly and passionately.
And if you’d ask what Niamh thought about your relationship she always said ‘Lauren was always like family now she’s just officially family’.

You and Lauren never really have arguments, if there were any they were tiny. Those arguments were about what show to watch or what chocolate to buy and you’d just end up buying two different chocolate bars. There was always an easy solution.
But now it was about something important. You needed a new couch in your shared home and Lauren thought a mustard coloured one would look good. In your eyes this was fugly, yeah you said fugly and Lauren was beyond offended.
“Lau, baby i just don’t think a yellow couch would look good in our home. It just doesn’t match anything babe.” you pleaded with her.
“Yeah it does! Look, we have mustard in our fridge and yellow flowers!” she tried to convince you.
“Come on, that doesn’t even count!” you told her annoyed.
“I’ve let you pick out almost anything in the house, i just want the yellow couch.” Lauren said irritated.
“That’s not even true! We’ve done half half plus the couch is like a big deal, we can’t just buy one that doesn’t match anything Lauren.” you started to get a bit angry at Lauren. Why couldn’t she get that the couch would look so ugly with the rest of your furniture.
“Whatever.” Lauren said coldly and walked out of the front door.
You knew she went to your sister, she always goes to your sister. But right now it seemed like the right move, Lauren was never so upset about anything and it bothered you that you were the reason.
It was 10pm and Lauren still wasn’t home. The argument was really getting to you. You had texted Lauren about ten times but she didn’t answer any. Was she really that mad at you?
You just needed to know Lauren was okay and safe so you texted your sister.
you
is Lauren with you? You don’t have to tell me anything, just wanna know if she’s safe
charles #2
yeah, she’s safe
You texted ‘i love you’ to your girlfriend. That was really all you needed before you went to bed.
You woke up at 2am by your bedroom door opening. You turned your bedside lamp on and rubbed your eyes to your girlfriend standing in the door opening. Lauren held a bouquet of flowers in her hands and a little sad smile displayed on her face.
Looking at the ground Lauren broke the silence. “I have flowers for you.. because i’m sorry. I don’t want to fight. You can have your couch if you want.” your girlfriend apologised.
There grew a little smile on your face too. “Thank you Lau, i’m sorry too. Come cuddle with me please.” you asked her with your best puppy eyes.
The English forward gave in and crawled into bed with you. You clicked the light off and Lauren spooned you from behind, her face in your neck and your limbs tangled into each other.
You let out a happy sigh and closed your eyes.
“Do you really not want the yellow couch though?” Lauren asked tiredly.
“No baby, we can do something colourful just not yellow, okay?” you tried to negotiate with your girlfriend.
“That’s okay. I love you.”
“I love you too Hemps”

your best friend, georgia made it her number one priority to tease you. she’d like to say it was her job, no matter what you did, she’d always be there to tease the shit out of you because she just couldn’t help it.
she loved to see your shy smile or annoyed face with a groan at her teasing but she would never tell you that.
you grew up with georgia, best friends ever since you met at the england youth camps when she accidentally kicked a ball straight into the back of your head.
“head’s up!” a voice beckons while you chat with ella and alessia. “ow, fuck!” you let out a pained laugh, whipping your head around to see an apologetic, worried georgia running towards you.
“i’m so sorry, (y/n)” she says earnestly, placing a hand on your shoulder, giving it a light squeeze as you look at her with wide eyes. “georgia, i’m fine” you say assuringly, slightly confused at the girl’s stern expression. “let me make it up to you?” georgia pleads, taking her hand off your shoulder and letting it hang by her side. you smile at the slightly older girl, “georgia, please, you don’t have to do anything” you let out a small giggle, georgia lets out her own as well, “i’ll make it up to you, promise!” she winks, waving goodbye to you and running off towards niamh.
when you turn back to ella and alessia, they send you cheeky grins. “what?” you laugh, “nothing” they both quip, smirking at each other before passing a ball between them.
georgia did in fact make it up to you, the girl would buy you bags of lollies or she’d get you a drink almost everyday. every time she walked in with that bright smile, the two of you would talk for what felt like hours when in reality minutes. the two of you grew extremely close over the years and everyone thought it was so endearing that your friendship and obvious love was so strong.
through the affirmation of almost everyone of your teammates, you’d come to terms that you liked georgia more than a friend but you would never tell her that, you couldn’t afford to lose her.
throughout the years of being georgia’s best friend, you’d seen all her romantic partners come and go. it broke your heart when they came along but you always put on a brave face and a friendly smile whenever you were introduced to them.
everyone would look at you sympathetically when she’d bring her special someone along to a dinner or a party, many of them giving you long hugs to cheer you up. and every time someone did, georgia would quirk her brow and ask what was wrong only to be met with your bright smile and the shake of your head.
“nothing” you smile, driving georgia borderline insane to the point where she couldn’t sleep at the thought of your kicked-puppy expression.
“we need to find you someone, (y/n/n)! it’s time!” georgia slings her arm over your shoulder during an england team dinner, leah (your ultimate older sister figure) sits across from you and sends you a knowing look when you glance up at her.
“i’m fine, g” you laugh, sipping nervously on your drink when you hear her groan. “no, it’s not fine, love, i want you to be happy” she pleads, giving you a quick kiss on your temple which makes your cheeks turn pink.
you swallow the lump in your throat, tracing your finger over the rim of the glass in front of you, “i am happy, georgia, just drop it, please” you utter, feeling her eyes burn into the side of your head. georgia opens her mouth to say something more but lets out a pained yelp instead when leah kicks her under the table.
you look at georgia concerned, she just smiles at you sheepishly, taking her arm off your shoulder and placing them in her lap.
“sorry” she mumbled,
“(y/n)? come to the bathroom with me?” leah smiles, you nod instantly and the older girl hoists you up from your seat, and as soon as the girl’s arm is over your shoulder, you break down.
“i’m so sorry, darling” she mutters, running her hand up and down your arm comfortingly. your tears run down your cheeks when you make it to the bathroom, your breathe shakily as leah speaks sweetly to you.
“why doesn’t she like me, lee?” you look up at her tearfully and she’s heartbroken, pulling you into a hug. “she’s silly if she doesn’t, love” leah retorts, squeezing you gently and helping you look somewhat presentable to go back to the table.
georgia looks at you with wide eyes when you sit back next to her, your glossy eyes sending a dagger straight to her heart at the though of her making you upset. “you okay?” she whispers, “i’m okay” you smile and nod at her, quickly tapping her thigh before focusing on a conversation beside you.
to get georgia off your back, you let her set you up with one of her friends. when you walked into training the day after your date, she sends a wolf whistle your way.
“hello, missy, the date went well, huh? she really liked you” georgia teases, grabbing your hand with a gentle squeeze to sit you down next to her.
she sits cross legged in her cubby and prompts you to do the same.
you let out a nervous laugh, in all honesty, the date did go well but she wasn’t georgia and it killed you. you didn’t want anyone but her and you could never tell her that.
“it was alright” you shrug, georgia just shakes her head amusingly at you, “it was alright” she mocks your voice and laughs when you slap her knee.
“come on! don’t leave me hanging, love, it’s been killing me” she pleads, grabbing your hand again and holding it in her lap.
“she’s lovely, but i don’t think she’s really my type” you cringe, scratching the back of your neck with your free hand.
“not your type?” she cocks her head to the side, thinking of what to say when you look at her sheepishly.
“what’s your type then?” she questions simply, causing you to choke on nothing. her eyes widen and she passes you her water bottle, you drink from it quickly while georgia watches worriedly.
one you calmed down, you and georgia both let out little giggles.
“um, i don’t know” you exhale, “well, i hope she makes me laugh, super kind and um..maybe plays football as well?” you answered, looking right into her eyes and she just nods. “i’ll work on it, i need my best girl to have her own best girl” she teases with a wink, causing you to roll your eyes with a shy smile.
“all right, stanway, get your boots on” you pat her thigh gently and stand up, walking over to your own cubby to get ready for training.
before she walks out to the pitch, she gives you a sloppy kiss on the cheek which makes you squeal surprisingly, pushing her off you with false grimace as she laughs loudly at your expression. she completely misses how your cheeks are burning red when she runs out of the room.
she was killing you. you were killing her.
it was during the world cup in australia where your friendship took a complete turn. leah wasn’t there for you to confide in and it made you nervous.
during the long plane ride, the staff decided to give the team random things to do for the duration of the plane, one of them being, make a bucket list with 10 aspirations for the year.
you guys would make them on the plane and then present them to each other during dinner that night.
you and georgia smile excitedly when you’re given the colourful paper and the glittery pens, both of you wordlessly competing with one another about who would make the better one.
everyone diligently worked on their bucket lists, laughter and bright smiles filling the plane as you all wrote down your wishes for the year.
georgia, much to your amusement, tried to copy your list, claiming she was stumped.
“g! come on, man” you groan, placing a hand on her cheek as you push her peering eyes away from your paper. “love! come on, man!” she mocks, attempting to bite your hand on her cheek, you gasp and move it away from her, grabbing your paper and clutching it to your chest.
“(y/n/n), please, i don’t know what to write” she whines, attempting to grab your paper with a giggle, “just make it up then, copycat!” you stick your tongue out at her and she smiles amusingly.
she rolls her eyes at you, huffing out a sigh and writing random things down on her paper.
it was dinner time, all of the girls were excited to share their aspirations for the year. georgia the entire time she was awake on the plane teased you relentlessly, attempting to steal your paper, prompting you to run away from her as soon as you landed.
a lot of the responses for the lists were things like: ‘win the world cup’ (i’m sorry), ‘travel more’ etc, you were nervous to share your list, it was forward and you knew it. you just wondered what everyone would think, a specific girl in particular.
after georgia shared hers, you were the only one left, she lists you from your seat after your refusal, carrying you over to the front of the room and placing you down with a satisfied smile.
you look at everyone nervously and they all send you encouraging smiles, you take a deep breath and start.
your list too had the world cup wish, the travel wish and some other random ones you put prompting the girls to laugh. but when you got to your last one, they all smirk at you knowingly.
“get a kiss from someone i love” you say shyly, rolling your eyes at the smirks and whistles as you wave them off. georgia smiles at you when you sit beside her, “let’s help each other with our lists” she whispers in your ear, you nod with a smile, internally cursing yourself for writing your last bullet point.
georgia tossed and turned all night after the team dinner. you were rooming together but you were fast asleep. she smiles looking over at you bundled up in the hotel bed, taking a picture of you and mindlessly setting it as her lock screen.
the truth is, georgia has always had feelings for you, she just couldn’t admit it to anyone else because she was afraid. she would date people to distract herself from you but it just made it worse, having to imagine her lover was anyone but you was torture.
so when she attempted to set you up on dates to see you happy, she thought it would diminish her feelings for good. obviously, it didn’t, the thought of you with someone else had her blood curdling and her heart breaking all at the same time.
she rose up from her bed and looked at the small desk across the room, seeing both of your lists perched up there. she gets out of bed and takes yours in her hands, her fingers trace over your carefully crafted list, smiling at your pretty handwriting.
she takes a photo of it, making a mental note of helping you achieve everything there, even if she wasn’t the lucky one to make the last one happen. (idiots).
it was the next day, georgia was clingier than usual and it made you curious. when you two got to training, she had her arm around you whenever she could, making you laugh and teasing you as much as she could.
alessia and ella look at each other after witnessing each interaction, laughing at your pink cheeks for the girl that could easily be masked as exhaustion from training. you walk past the two girls while georgia trails closely behind you,
“maybe number 10 will come true, hey, (y/n/n)?” ella teases, getting a little slap on the shoulder from alessia when your eyes widen. georgia tenses and her eyes look between the two girls, then to you and back to them again. she could feel her jealousy brew, unaware that the girls were insinuating that number 10 would be her.
you send them both a little glare when georgia nears you again, they both smile and walk off. “number 10 is quite the talker” georgia nudges your shoulder with her own, “yeah, it’s stupid really” you shrug, eyes trained on both of you walking on the pitch. “it’s not stupid!” she exclaims, no hint of teasing in her tone causing you to look up at her in surprise.
“really?” your jaw is slightly slack, “really?” she mocks, you laugh instantly, there she is, your georgia.
that night when you both made it back to the hotel room, you both flop down on your respective beds, both of you smiling happily as you sink into the mattress.
“so..just out of curiosity, who would you want to do number 10 with” georgia’s voice breaks the comfortable silence in the room. she looks over at you nervously, you focus your attention on the ceiling when you feel your breathing slightly quicken.
“oh i don’t know” you laugh nervously, “i mean i have someone in mind but it won’t work out” you admit, a tinge of sadness laced in each word you spoke, “really?” georgia sits up, looking at you expectantly, in turn, you move to sit up too, resting your back on the head board of the bed as you look at her with an unreadable expression on your face.
“yeah, she doesn’t like me back so definitely likely it won’t happen” you sigh, avoiding looking into her eyes, terrified she would catch on to your words.
“i’m sure she does, go on then, who is it?” she smiles, moving off her bed to sit in front of you on yours.
you begin to fidget with your hands, picking the skin around your nails, a nervous habit that georgia always had to stop you from doing, she instantly moves closer and takes both hands in her own, giving you a stern but somewhat affectionate expression.
“i don’t know if i should say, i don’t want you to hate me or anything” you mumble, looking down at your entangled hands. “i could never hate you, don’t be silly, just tell me, love, this is a safe space” she smiles, running her thumbs over your knuckles.
“it’s you” your heart beats out of your chest, you can hear each frantic beat filling the room as georgia looks at you in a surprised manner. her grip on your hands tighten, “i love you” you utter, you can feel your body overheating under the gaze of georgia, her mouth is agape as her eyes trail over your features.
“i’m number 10?” she inwardly asks under her breath, but your proximity makes it easy for you to hear so you nod at her words. “you’ve always been number 10, and i know you don’t like me back and it’s okay, just please don’t pull yourself away from me” you plead, your eyes slowly brimming with tears when her brows furrow.
“woah, who said i don’t like you back?” she questions, moving closer to you so your knees were touching.
“what?” you blurt, if you weren’t already red, this would’ve set you on fire. georgia's cheeks fill with pink as she smiles at you, “baby, i’ve always loved you” she speaks earnestly and you both are swarmed with butterflies.
“georgia” you utter, “it’s always been you, love,” she declares, “i tried to distract myself from you but it doesn’t work, they’re not you” she expands, her hands intertwine with yours.
“it’s the same with you, no one comes close to you, g” you admit affectionately. both of you smile at each other knowingly, you both loved each other and it’s all that mattered at this point.
after a few minutes of just looking at each other with lovesick glances, you break the silence. “so..” you grin, georgia giggles brightly, her eyes trained on your lips for a moment before looking back into your eyes.
“can i help you with number 10, baby?” georgia whispers, your breath hitches at her forwardness, nonetheless, you nod. she smiles at you before tugging you forward, pulling you to sit on her lap. both of you look at each other shyly, this foreign yet familiar closeness somehow working completely.
you place your hands on the sides of her neck, your fingers playing with the loose hairs that have fallen from her ponytail. her hands seek refuge on your hips, her thumb rubbing back and forth over your shirt.
she looks into your eyes lovingly, seeking silent confirmation from you to see if you really wanted this. your enthusiastic smile and your excited eyes glancing between her eyes and lips said everything and more.
georgia, painfully slowly moves forward, her lips grazing yours without actually kissing you just yet. a tease, as per usual, she was still your georgia. you huff out a laugh against her lips and she pulls back to look at you amusingly,
“what’re you laughing at” she giggles, you shake your head at her and pull her forward towards you again. “you’re such a tease, stanway” you say against her lips, closing the gap and melding your lips together.
almost like you’d done it before, your lips move together simultaneously. she hums into your mouth and you smile against her, giving her your own noise of enjoyment as she pulls you closer to her, your bodies pressed up against each other.
after a few seconds, you feel her tongue lightly working its way into your mouth and you gladly accept, both of you making out until you had to pull away reluctantly for air.
she pulls away breathlessly and looks at you with blown out pupils and kiss swollen lips, almost looking into a mirror with your identical appearance. “you’re perfect” she mutters, pecking your lips a couple of times while you giggle against her, “you’re perfect” you mock her and she pinches your hip lightly, “it’s not nice being teased, huh?” you laugh, she kisses your cheek repeatedly as she lowers you onto the bed, hovering over you slightly,
“whatever, worked on you though, you love me” she cheeses out, nudging your nose with her own. “hm, i guess i do, but you do too” you smile, puckering your lips up at her and smiling when she instantly places a chaste kiss on your lips again. “yeah, i do” she whispers against your lips, settling on top of you and pulling you into a tight embrace.
when you both waked into training the next day with shy smiles and intertwined hands, screams and cheers echoed in the change rooms. “fuck yes!” ella screams, jumping around with alessia while everyone fusses over the two of you. somehow, leah was facetimed and the girl teared up. “my little babies are all grown up” she coos, the phone shoved into your face as you sit in georgia’s lap to talk to her.
“turns out she liked me the whole time, lee” you giggle, georgia nods instantly and kisses your cheek. leah smiles at you both, admiring two of her best friends so giddy over each other.
“i’m so happy for both of you” leah speaks full of affection, ruining the moment when her captain side comes out. “okay, love you both but, training, now!” she exclaims, blowing you both a kiss and hanging up promptly.
when you both got back that night in the hotel room, georgia grabs a pen and checks off number 10 on your list, giving you a cheeky smile before joining you for a cuddle in bed.

tied to you II Esme Morgan x Reader
Tumblr media
masterlist I word count: 1015
a/n: just something short and sweet tonight, enjoy. 🤍
Forward knot, forward knot, then a backward knot. One colour after the other.
Esme sat alone at a table knotting strings into one of her iconic friendship bracelets. She had made a bracelet for each of her England team members so far except for one.
This one would be her last one. And it had to be the most perfect one so far.
She was fully focused on her task, trying to avoid mistakes at any cost. In fact, she was so focused that she jumped a little in her seat when Lauren Hemps voice suddenly asked: “Esme, what are you doing?“
Catching her breath from the scare, she turned around to her while simultaneously trying to hide the bracelet in her lap: “Hempo, keep building your stuff with LJ and Lucy. I need to focus here.“
She nodded into the direction of your other teammates that sat at the other end of the room, stacking bricks on bricks.
Lauren ignored her completely and reached for the bracelet: “Let me see.“
“No.“, Esme replied, not letting go of the strings to avoid tangling.
“I thought you were done with bracelets?“, Lauren asked curiously. She eyed it cautiously, taking in the different colours.
Esme smiled and pulled the bracelet out of Laurens hands: “I am. But this is the most special out of them all.“
She continued working on it while her teammate watched on, her head tilted.
“This?“ Confusion mixed with judgement.
“It’s for my girlfriend.“, Esme nodded.
“Why aren’t you making a pretty one then? The colours are so chaotic?“, the winger laughed.
“Because each colour represents a different memory…“, Esme explained softly.
Niamh Charles appeared next to them, sitting down on the table: “What does the blue stand for?“
“And the brown?“, Lauren added before Esme could answer.
“Or the dark green one?“ This question was Lucys.
Esme blushed as she found herself surrounded by her teammates: “Guys, stop for a minute. Let me breathe, okay? So the light blue one obviously represents our time at City together.“
Niamh nodded solemnly: “Okay, that makes sense.“
“But that doesn’t explain the brown and green one.“, Lauren reminded her.
“Not to forget the pink!“, Lucy agreed.
“So, I chose the brown because it looks exactly like her favourite coffee order.“, Esme started. The girls surrounding her stared down at the cappuccino-coloured strand.
“That’s cute.“, Lauren commented.
“And the rest?“, Niamh prompted Esme to go on but she quickly shook her head.
“Oh no, she’s coming. Help me to distract her girls. I’m not completely finished yet.“
She hid the bracelet behind her back while her teammates got up.
You just entered the entertainment room with two to-go cups in hand when Lauren Hemp walked briskly towards you: “Hey, y/n.“
“Hi, Hempo. What are you building at the moment?“, you asked politely.
“I uhm… uhhh.“, she replied, seemingly surprised by your question.
“We’re working on that flower bouquet.“, Lucy answered in her stead, pointing towards a collection of square brick flowers.
You smiled: “How pretty.“
"You want to help us?", Lauren asked with a friendly grin on her lips. "Sure, have you seen Esme though? I've her hot chocolate order right here?", you wanted to know, your hands wrapped around the hot drink.
"She's right..oh, I mean no.", the blonde stammered. "So Es is in the room?", you looked around curiously. "I'll bring it to her.", Niamh offered winking.
"Okay?", you had a feeling that something was off and they were trying to distract you, but you didn’t know from what. Like what was Esme doing or hiding?
"Esme is busy doing something for the lionesses’ social media.", the defender explained quickly. "Oh, I won't interrupt her then.", you declared. "Come on, let's build some flowers.", Lauren smiled warmly. How could you say no to that? Impossible, plus it was so much fun. Later in the evening Esme gave you a long hug when she entered the dimly lit hotel room you shared together.
"Hi love, thanks for the hot chocolate earlier.", the defender whispered gratefully. "You're welcome, Es.", you replied. "I've something for you.", Esme winked conspiratorially. "You do?", you raised an eyebrow at your girlfriend.
"Yes, something I promised you for a long time.", she nervously put a loose hair string back behind her ear. "Is it a bracelet?", you asked the new Washington Spirits signing audibly moved. The lionesses teammates knew you were sad about the fact that everyone received an armband by her except you. "It's.", Esme confirmed excitedly before helping you to put her handmade bracelet on.
"Thank you.", you beamed at her. "I hope you like it.", the defender responded. "It's perfect.", you assured your girlfriend who's lips formed into a beautiful smile. "You like it?" "No, I love it.", you emphasized your previous words. Your shoulders slumped while you remembered how far you'd be apart when the camp was over. "What's wrong?", Esme questioned concerned.
"Nothing, I'll just miss you.", you admitted with a heavy sigh.
"I know. I'll miss you too. But that's why I made that bracelet with these colours.", the defender confessed, pressing a soft kiss to your wrist which made your heart flutter.
Does each one has a special meaning?", you looked at her interested. She took her time to explain it to you. How the light blue string stood for your time together at City, the brown symbolizing your coffee order and many more.
"Maybe that can help for the first few weeks.", Esme ended hopefully. "And the next lionesses camp won't be too far off.", you remembered.
"Exactly and we can always call each other.", the blonde added optimistically. Her words were like balm to your worries.
"We can do this, right?" "Yes. We'll be fine. Finer than fine.", your girlfriend smirked pressing sweet little kisses on to your face making you giggle. Deep down you knew that Esme was right. Together you were capable to face everything even long distance over two continents, the love you had for each other was strong enough and the bracelet was your everyday reminder for it.
