i’m not trying to be rude but niall never said heartbreak weather was a happy album LMAOOO he said like 80 times it was about all angles of a breakup… also how are u gonna say heaven doesnt match the context of the song when you’ve only heard one verse of it…?

he did also say that about hbw, but i know he also said the album was happier than flicker (true still) and that most of the songs were dancey songs. im digging for the quote but idk how to find it bc it was before there was promo for hbw and possibly even before ntmy promo. maybe when he posted the tweets (im p sure it was a tweet batch) hbw was mostly a happy album and then became what it is now.

it's just that i dont trust what hes saying bc theres a lot that niall says about his music that straight up doesnt match the reality of it. i rmr when he was describing hbw to us, he said that most of the songs were folk rock and close to the eagles in sound, and then we got a bunch of pop and dance music. ntmy, nothing, cym, and small talk were the only songs close to any genre of rock. so idk!

finally the interview with the tour crew dropped and it is as good as the last one in 2018!!

i don't even know where to start like this provides so much insight into everything that went into the tour production (i hope if/when we ever get a documentary we will hear about it from niall's point of view but for now this is great!) It looks like the curtain was such a challenge and that's probably why a lot of the shows outside UK&US didn't have them?! also the part about the projection on the curtain and how it worked out even in outdoor venues like i didn't think about how difficult that actually is?

But my favourite part by far is the part about how niall wanted to emphasize 'the show' by having different acts and using different visuals to tie those acts together like thinking about how the first act started by ntmy then the songs about getting with someone until the climax which is B&W (which is the dramatic end of the first act), then we have the acoustic songs which is the break-up and it ends beautifully with ycsac raising the anticipation of how the story is going to end?! then the third act starts with heaven and that intro adds even more theatrical vibes to the show and we end with still which as he described it during hbw era is just bottom line of that album and in a way even though he is in a happy relationship now it still translates to 'the show' album i like to think 'the show' is the proof that "it'll be alright" and that's the final act.... then the encore which just emphasizes the happy ending with hbw and slow hands 🤭😉 (check out the three-act structure on wikipedia)

and like?? he is a genius i really don't think we talked enough about it cause the tour felt like it flew by but i wish it was appreciated more hopefully if he wants to give us a documentary it will reveal more about the process and more people will talk about how creative he and his team are like don't even get me started on his band.... seriously i was underestimating his creativeness like obviously knew he is talented but our reference for this tour was the flicker rugs😭😂 (which fit the vibe at the time) but he definitely proved he can put an impressive show tying every aspect to the concept and i hope he continues to write his album this way like hbw and the show starting with a concept cause he is probably one of the few artist who nails that!

The Show - Niall Horan (beautiful work by our boyo. HBW remains superior tho)

Burn The Empire - The Snuts (loved them in 2022 and I hope I can see them live again at some point)

Juntos Somos MAS - Marco Antonio Solis y más (I wish I would’ve made time to play this album to my mom when I found it in 2021)
