usually seeds in the tomato family have little tiny hairs on them you can see under a microscope and sometimes they’re even big enough to see with the naked eye but today at work we got tomato seeds in that were LUSCIOUS. hair so dense it looked like fur. hair so immense it muffled the sounds of the seeds when they hit each other and the metal pan they were in. On God you could have shampooed and conditioned them like a little white show dog. the person planting it brought it to me because they thought there was something wrong with the sample and I was like no those are jyst nature’s toupees

today i toured a USDA plant introduction station where they grow/maintain seed bank seeds and every so often (can be like 15-30 years depending on how many of the stored seeds are still alive) they need to grow the seeds out and document the plants/fruits and get fresh seeds to put back in the vault. they do a lot of gourds/pumpkins at this station and those are Huge Guys which all need to be documented and broken open for their seeds as a group without getting mixed up, and anyway you can only imagine my delight when i learned they store their fresh gourd harvests in giant wheeled metal cages with tags and barcodes all over them like they have rabies. like theyre going to Get you

I've been going to the park alot lately, so I don't get domesticated for never leaving my hab, but there's one problem. the layers to andrew’s abuse and his response to it are both so so heartbreaking. “Did you let them run a kit, Andrew?” “No choice, Bee,” said by the man who also says “there is always a choice.” but “no choice” because this was about protecting aaron—because choosing between putting himself through his own personal nightmare again or letting aaron’s life go off the rails (because he was saving andrew’s life) is no choice at all. andrew will always protect aaron. “Everyone knows now, Bee,” said by the man who has tried so so hard to be a shield for the family he can’t let go of and won’t let in. they know now how horrifically he has been violated over and over again, how many times he failed to protect himself bc he was too young and how many times everyone else failed him because he was too young, too confused to be believed. he tried SO hard to shield his brother from his nightmares and in the end none of it mattered. aaron knows and aaron’s life might be coming apart because of it and andrew has the choice to stop that from happening so no wonder there is no choice. at his core andrew is someone who looks out for others. at his core he is the adult he needed as a child 🧘🏽‍��️

neil in aftg can pass off as like… Almost borderline semi-normal kid who’s found himself in insane circumstances when rlly all he wants to do is play a crazy sport because he looks at andrew’s problems and kevin’s lack of spine and riko’s entire existence and he does believe he’s almost borderline semi-normal. just a paranoid liar bc his dad wants to murder him. then u see him from an outsider’s pov and he’s damn near psychotic arranging a hit on someone while on a lunch date with his gangster uncle and the guy who taped his skin back together after continuous torture not even a year ago and he does it without breaking a sweat while stringing up a series of lies to feed to the FBI. character or ALL time
