I actually sobbed when playing through family ties. I love Tani so much, she’s literally my daughter. Also, her and Batu’s dynamic is just so fun and makes me tear up if I think about it for too long.

Do we have any knowledge of Oliver/the main cast's last names?? Other than Myrtle ig. If not do u have any headcanons

we know exactly two last names in ni no kuni 1: the cartwrights and the gappolinos. ...so no we don't have any knowledge of the main cast's last names (nnk2 has last names for all its main cast except batu and tani, though! (...and lofty but tbh i don't think fairies have them))

as for headcanons. heh. pushes up glasses. yeah i have headcanon last names for all the main guys here they are:

caph - oliver's last name, a star adjacent to shadar, in the cassiopeia constellation. one of the "three guides", three stars that make up an imaginary line

sirrah - esther's last name, arabic name for the star alpheratz. also one of the three guides

algenib - swaine's last name, a star with a lot of naming confusion. the last of the three guides

as for drippy. again i just don't think fairies have last names tbh. why would they have them they're all one big family anyway

She was formerly a castle guard in Ding Dong Dell before Mausinger took control. Then she finds her way to Goldpaw where the gang takes her into Nevermore, where she also works alongside Batu with inside security.

If i were to make a hypothetical PowerPoint about religion in ni no kuni I'd probably spend most of it talking about the ancient ones and other stuff and once that's all wrapped up I'd bring up that screenshot of Batu saying christening and start spiraling the implications of nnk Jesus
