“Sorry.” He takes the bags from your hands and closes the door behind you.

Soooo I went to see THUNDERBOLTS* and had a blast

*Spoilers ahead for the movie and the post credits scene*

It was genuinely one of the most exciting and actually good Marvel movies I’ve seen since Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

The fighting was good, cgi didn’t feel out of place or weird, and overall just a very exciting movie about a group of misfits trying to find their place.

The only downside really was how they mainly released the trailers and promos for the movie. Like I get the void is the “big bad” of this movie in a way but they could’ve kept it pretty hidden or at least more subtle in the trailers.

Now, for the characters themselves (Keep in mind, I’m writing this at 3am so just bear with me T^T):

Taskmaster (I don’t remember her actual name ngl): I feel like she was just kinda pointless to have in this movie? She died in the first half hour anyway so I genuinely don’t get what the point was of her being there. So, kinda just a waste of the actress’ time I feel :/

Ava/Ghost: Pretty good. I feel like she definitely redeemed her character a bit more in this one, since antman and the wasp was a kinda “eh” movie for me. She was definitely more badass in this instead of being some kind of half assed character they decided to throw in here for no reason. (And yes, I know all these characters are pulled from the comics and aren’t exactly randomly added, I’m not an intellectual)

John Walker/(Whatever the fuck his hero name is bc I forgor): He was fine ig. Don’t get me wrong, no hate to the actor whatsoever and Walker fit just fine into the movie, I just don’t like the character bc of his bs he did in CA&TWS. Plus, he clearly has his dick so far up his ass that he genuinely wasn’t paying attention to anything that Yelena and Ava were saying when they had actual good ideas.

Alexei/Red Guardian: Super fun, I love David Harbour as an actor and him playing the Red Guardian again was such an enjoyable time. Again, he didn’t feel out of place at all and his whole limo business thing was hilarious. The part where he picks Yelena, Walker, and Ava in the desert was BEAUTIFUL. It was genuinely like a dad picking his kid up from school and embarrassing them in front of their friends.

Yelena Bolova: MY GIRL!!!! I honestly really liked her in the Black Widow movie and in the Hawkeye show. She’s genuinely one of my favorite characters in the MCU. She was funny the first couple of times she appeared in the MCU and she’s still funny in Thunderbolts. Also, dude, I swear, whether it was improvised or not, I’m gonna fight Kevin Feige on this. I was so fucking close to sobbing when she was talking about not having Natasha anymore in her life and the amount of times that she called Alexei “dad” broke me bro :(

James “Bucky” Barnes: THIS MAN ISTFG HAD ME IN A CHOKEHOLD THE WHOLE MOVIE. Just his little smirks and smiles throughout the movie (fake or not they were still cute asf). And also, when he’s just simply in his kitchen with pants and a white tank top on? 🙌🤤 I need it right here, right now. He can be armed and dangerous and rail me again, again, and again ANY day. In all honesty, he was very fun in the movie and I kinda wish we got to see more of the Congressman Barnes bits but yknow what, I got to see this man be hot both in and outside of a suit so I’m happy (requests for this man’s are 1000% open btw)
