im so sorry im late ozr I read the new chapter as soon as I saw the notification but it was such a hectic week I couldn't get my thoughts in order (not like I am about to make any sense lol). Whichever way has become such a safe space for me tbh icb we only got 2 chapters left T_T

the intro of woo and reader's setting up the new boundaries was honestly delightful to read like things aren't just magically hunky dory now that he moved in w/ san but they talk about things and compromise and it's honestly an estimate to your ability to write about the little moments so well too. 100 girlfriends/hyakkano. the harem parody i didn't know i needed. the setup is so genuinely stupid but it fires thru jokes at such a rapid pace you barely have time to remember the ones that don't land as well. THE ANIMATION IS SO BEAUTIFUL. also inch rested to see if they can get to 100 girlfriends polycule without becoming boring (komi san i am looking at u......)

apothecary diaries. everything i hoped it would be <33 some say the mysteries are too easy but since im not big on detective stuff im actually happy with the pacing (compared to raven of the inner palace which could drag a lil imo) it just looks soooo good maomao is so fun her cat emotes... <3 ((also ngl. there's elifauve angle to the main duo which i am. delighted abt ww))

ragna crimson. do the character designs look like a b-tier anime from the early 2000s? yeah. does it slap all the fucking way? YEAH. ragna and leo are extremely whatever but crimson (damiacore!!) and angel dragon are SO DOPE. aots no doubt <3 (<- biased i cannot be trusted) it just scratches an itch that hasn't been scratched since the isekai game inspy fantasy scourge took over. bar is on the ground etc

shangri-la frontier. heel turn but. scratches the video game fantasy world itch and it's just stupid enough to be annoying. no isekai bullshit. fight animation that's exactly what made sao fun but without the harem bs that made sao.... sao. (i know there's more girls coming i just hope we stick to fun beat em up with it.)

sousou no frieren. ANIME OF THE DECADE. absolutely no question about it this is the best thing i've ever seen every second of animation is jaw-droppingly beautiful all the characters and the fkcin story the cycles the grief the humanity behind it all. i cry every single ep ;-; i am too enamored by it to even be annoyed abt the german names of everything and everyone. it's awkward but as someone who also gave all their first ocs telling japanese names I'LL LET IT SLIDE <3

spy x family s2. excited to get to boat arc. exactly what you know ur gonna get from it and i love getting more sxf. it's fun!!!!

undead unluck. it has the kill la kill energy (idiocy) we have no choice but to stan. took me actually till ep 2 to clock it was made by shaft guys and now i cannot unsee it anymore. all the chars and gimmicks are stupid and fun and it perfectly fills the niche left empty by zom100 being in production hell. ive watched anime for long enough that i can ignore the sexual comedy bits but it is becoming stale (in which it falls short of what klk was able to pull off. god i miss klk) lol

beat Forspoken, and while I probably will write an in-depth review down the line cuz i have many thoughts, I'm just going to pointform my basic thoughts while it's still fresh.

PROS

Great designs all around, the Tantas look so breathtaking with their extravagant designs and yet it doesn't take away from their world, it fits just right in. Absolutely love it.

Good world building most questions i had were answered either through the main story or extra archive stuff. Nothing felt too weird yknow

Gameplay gameplay gameplay. The magic system is literally amazing. I dont think I've had this much fun fighting in an rpg in a long time. Theres so much fun variety so you can focus on whats comfortable for you while also looking sick as fuck. Have i mentioned how good the battle system is cuz i avoid playing mage in every game because its such a slog but here its so fast paced and hits hard. Perfect for me.

The music is soooo good, I love the main theme and find myself humming it literally all the time.

Great graphics but maybe a lil too many particle effects but otherwise really pretty.

The story is technically a pro. Like its good, not bad, not great, just good. Basically something you'd find in the YA Fantasy section, thats the kinda quality it was. Which isn't a insult I did enjoy the story and characters. It just needed polish, fix up the dialogue and trim some of the story fat and i wouldn't have any complaints tbh. Probably would do better as a book series tho ngl, not sure what game format would have saved it.

Shoutout to the accessibility options. I'm glad more games are including these. I'll never understand complaints about them though, like just dont use them if you dont want/need to thats it.

ALMOST FORGOT THE COOLEST THING. THE NAILS. I'm sorry but the idea of using nail art to inscribe magic runes to give you buffs is the coolest fucking idea ever, why has this concept not been used till now. We always see rune tatoos or written on gear and stuff im fantasy media but this is such a neat ideaaaa and im forever thankful for it. Her capes are cool too I guess, with there was more variety rather than recolors tho. Kinda wish we could also get different outfits for her tho. Those jeans probably chafe.

CONS

THE OPEN WORLD IS SO BIG FOR NO GODDAMN REASON. I honestly wish this wasn't an open world game tbh, its so unnecessary. Halfway through the game, i got so frustrated and ignored everything that wasn't story points cuz getting everywhere takes so damn long, especially early on when you dont have fancy parkour or stamina. Easily its biggest fault for me.

I understand they thought it'd do way better than what happened but planning out a story as a trilogy in the gaming industry is not a smart move. I've yet to play the dlc so idk if we get closure but the loose ends werent a great way for the game to end.

Oh, the dialogue. Its easily one of the gamest weakest points. Like the type of dialogue i was writing in my original stories when i was 13 (not that ive gotten any better tbh). Basically, it's not what you expect from such a vaunted company. Frey is great when shes excited or angry, which is most of the time, but occasionally, they'll hit me with the cheesiest line I've heard in years, and idk how to handle it. Like the stuff she says in the final chapter is honestly so robotic, there is no natural flow present. Which is a pity cuz the actress was killing it tbh, like she definitely carried the lines with her emotion. Unfortunately, it couldn't save them. Like if it was something they dropped on ps3 or wii, it honestly would have done fine. What i mean to say is the dialogue is very outdated in this age of gaming. im actually surprised how out of touch it feels. Especially since otherwise its a solid game all around. Regarding Cuff and Frey banter you do have the option to make it less frequent or just turn it off but i never really found them annoying regardless.

Maybe its just me but the control scheme feels so weird, the games makes you feel like you should be gliding most of the time but holding O while spaming all those trigger buttons feels so awkward to me. But then again I also didnt care enough to change the control scheme so.

ooc. i was talking to sin the other day about lindow rarely getting too serious/ mad/ upset or show these emotions. he is always cheery and happy because why else wouldn't he be? like, what does it help being gloomy or over-the-top serious? not his mojo you know lmao.

you know what that made me realize? lindow is scared of his influence more than anything. like, MC here went berserk to save lindow (and the client) which made him sustain injuries. (i cant read whats written for my life but you can tell lindow gave him a lecture and MC fought back something like you are reckless too and lindow was whaaa punch!) perhaps something MC said along the lines of i did what you taught me//or i learned from you//you'd have done the same thing .. anything like that which made lindow snap.

i think i talked about this before but bird brain.

to think his cheerful attitude will backfire on him lmao. lindow realizes that he influences people easy with his charisma and strength which makes him desperate to drill into people that it is ok to flee if something got out of hand. he wants to affirm that just because they are strong does not mean they are invincible--they are fighting something that mutates every two seconds to become stronger. thinking about how his back makes people want to chase after the strength he got. being the ideal hurts him. he makes fighting so easy ngl and that illusion that they can get stronger kind of not ok u know lmao. most likely why when it comes to picking units, lindow makes sure he can pick the people who will team work and not 'reckless youth' on their own because he aint gonna shoulder your death too. still, he will take whoever in order to protect them and make them stronger in their own abilities. am i making sense? dunno. anyway.

all u need t know that being the strongest backfires on his ass because someone could just use the 'im doing what i learned from you' or 'im trying to follow your teachings' etc and that sparks something inside of him. like bruh i didnt teach you run to your death.

brief rundown of my blog's timeline post ds9 before i update it on my dossier:

2376- takes command of ds9 in an official capacity as the "new year" (at least the standardized calendar they use or whatever says) comes. it's the same year she gets attainted (aka. excommunicated by the vedek assembly) for releasing an ancient semi-prophetic text that did not view the bajoran prophets as gods but rather, aliens. this is a rough year — oh also, starfleet decided to use ds9 as a rehab for ro so.... ensue headaches

late-2376 : they receive a distress call from europa nova, takes in a bunch of refugees whilst kira n co are also trying to find the source of the disaster. uh tldr: she ends up goin thru an iconian gateway, ends up in the DQ, gets hunted by the hirogen before yeeting herself into an escape pod and end up on some m-class planet. oh yes, and she straight up dies. dw, she comes home to ds9 alive (it's on the dossier im not typing this part again)

2377- happy new year! except, it's not so happy. bajorans on the station don't wanna be associated with her, and it's rough. ironically, kira has to play as a mediator between the bajoran government, starfleet, AND the cardassian government. she hates it. really, she does.

anyways, rumors begin to spread about a potential official summit between bajor, the federation, and cardassia. tensions on the station are HIGH. oh yeah, remember how kira uploaded a book? well, it sorta started a fringe religious movement that's sorta just brewing in the background

2378- another year another year of bULLSHIT! some starfleet admiral's picking on her (at least she believes it to be), shakaar and his governments being a bitch baby. she's so done. she just wants to be doing anything but THIS

oh yeah the defiant? right, so the current founders (aka odo & co) and ds9 (and ds9 only!) made an agreement to let them conduct exploratory missions in the gamma quadrant again. julian and ezri —— THE ONLY TWO PEOPLE WHO SHE TRUSTS AT THIS POINT —— gone out exploring.

oh yeah, also people started protesting on the promenade. some were anti-cardassian (one of ziyal's artwork gets vandalized) and some were anti-vedek assembly. a small group of people are beginning to speak frankly about how kira's been mistreated. you can say, she's once again, an icon and symbol —— WHICH SHE DOES NOT WANT ONCE AGAIN

oh yeah have we mentioned voyager's returned? yeah so it's... docked here for some time now being studied like an organism under a microscope. yep. ds9's tourism industry is THRIVING

2379- remember kira's lil religious movement she accidentally started? yeah that's why they haven't picked a new kai yet. imagine the chaos in the assembly. just imagine. well, it wasn't as bad as when winn adami was in charge but STILL.

guess what??? there's also talks about bajor potentially joining the federation. oh what great timing this all is.... cue kira looking longingly at the wormhole with her emotional support baseball.

oh yeah during this time she's also been visiting kasidy on bajor as much as she can and they're raising the sisko-yates kid semi-together. it's abt the only thing she looks forward to anymore. that and video calling the o'briens.

mid-2379: oh my! they found kai opaka and she's ALIVE?!?! gasp! hey guess what? opaka chastised the vedek assembly for not allowing kira to openly practice her faith. uh tldr: they kinda got bullied into letting kira back and thank fuck for that

late-2379: bajor's supposed to sign the treaty to join the federation but uh drama happens and they don't sign... again. (deciding if i wanna keep the whole trill unjoined plotline ngl) but yknow what... it's fine... right???

2380: honestly for the first time, it's a pretty tame year... thank fuck for that. bajor and the federation are still in negotiations on what it means to join the federation and what not. hey look! it's shaxs! and mariners mom lmao

2381: bajor joins the federation (yaaaay) omg ben sisko is that you??? oh thank fuck they can all relax for once... right? oh yeah kira gets the captain title and a bunch of belated as fuck commendations

late-2381: EEEE WRONG! oh yeah there was a jem'hadar sent over from the great link? well something Bad happened and he shish kebob'ed kira's heart and shattered ro's spine. welp.

2382: well she lives... again. had a prophetic vision during her coma, she has a new heart now. oh that attack? well... turns out the mirrorverse strikes again! (it's in my dossier i'm not typing it all up again lmao)

2383 - 2386: honestly it's been pretty normal though for years now at this point she's been trying to push for diplomatic negotiations with the dominion but uh starfleet back office sends any mail from kira straight to spam! oh yeah she and garak definitely still talk and talk shit abt their own governments

2387: so we know how the supernova happened right? well see... behind starfleet's back, she and a few romulans she's befriended during the dominion war have been sorta just... transporting people over little by little. some, by bribing whatever connections quark has; some, literally on their tiny little runabouts. needless to say, they've done more than the fucking federation lmao

2388 - 2398: at this point she's just tired of starfleet back office... THANK GOD THEY NEVER COME HERE! the only station treated worse than ds9 is starbase 80! zoinks! also, ro's been her first officer for a bit but at some point section 31 stole her away. another reason why kira hates section 31. all her homies hate s31.

2399-2401: you're here. in the present. see? kira was right but noooo starfleet doesn't negotiate with war criminals :/ (honestly depending on how the rest of the show goes... this might tweak)

Episode 7 Time

Ugh I kinda hate that Aphmaus doin her little youtuber intro in front of every episode in these earlier ones bc its like. how the fuck am I supposed to work that shit into the start of literally anything else much less a more conventionally told story

Idk she walks around town n runs into Kiki and her lil hamster party

Something about Kikis design just really irks me and Im pretty sure its her oversaturated darkish pink shirt, even more so when its combined with that bright red hair and big bright red heart on her chest. When I redesign her I'll probably replace it with a more earthy pink tone

The exchange between Kiki n Aphmau can stay the way it is mostly, I'll definitely have to tweak it though and completely rework that last paragraph so it doesnt sound like an obvious explanation of a game/mod mechanic

Zenix is also nearby saying "What strange adorable creatures" which is cute, I think I'd like it a lil bit more if he was maybe also petting/holding a hamster while saying that

She has some fun w/ a hamster in the enclosure, Im kinda hesitant on giving her a pet like that ngl, but I feel like a hamster is a bit less of a 'deal' than her dog so yea, I'll see what I'll do

If she keeps the hamster, she'll drop him off at her house (or maybe in the chicken enclosure idk) and then walk around town talking to everyone, if she gives it back to Kiki she just goes to talk to everyone in town right away

While shes doing that, she runs into Paul ofc and they have the same lil exchange that they have in the OG

Once shes done w/ all of that she goes over to the beach to start building that boat where she meets Brenden, who just finished the docks and is Exhausted. He says the thing about the docks being done AGAIN while wheezing and panting a bunch, Aphmau tells him he did a good job like in the OG and Brendon just thanks her without mentioning poop, thank god

Then she also goes to talk to Garroth, their exchange is also mostly the same except Im changing the line "I'm having an item delivered here for the boat" to smth like "I/Zenix and I have had something built for the boat, we should get it tomorrow" bc I feel like they kinda mentioned that the village is cut off from all the other villages but then they didnt fully realize that that would make things like this difficult yknow?? (or me and whoever wrote this just have a different definition of "cut off" lol)

Aphmau starts trying to build the boat, maybe Brendon offers to help once hes rested properly bc he seems to know a lil more than Aphmau. At this point we should probably do another small timeskip and show the boat being built via montage equivalent or by just showing small snippets and interaction. I'd also like to get Paul and Kiki on board (ha) bc they also know about what happened and they need all the help they can get

I'd also like Garroth and Zenix to help a lil or at least offer some emotional support. Like, I dont remember Zenix at all and I do know that most of the big moments for Garroth n Aphmau come later but some small cute interactions before that could be nice

Okay nvm I watched further ahead in the episode and what she ended up building was more of a raft or smth which could probabls be built by a single person in like 2 days if they had some skill and patience lol. Im keeping those previous points though bc I like the idea of this being a bit of a bonding moment despite it all (and I'd kinda like Aphmau to be a pretty skilled builder in my version idk why)

EDIT: NVM SHIT I MISSED SMTH; so Zenix sneaks onto the boat and looks into the chest/maybe puts something in it??? Dont remember what it is or what it leads up to so Im keeping for now

hello maeby baby! the sell went pretty well for it to be my first! ^^ this week i rested cause last week i was putting up all nighters everyday making sure everything was ready, i finally watched season 4 of stranger things ngl i hesitated a lot cause I can’t do horror and i heard that this season was pretty tough and i did not what to end up traumatized but thanks to the internet i was able to skip the bad parts haha

and nope! my birthday is on august 20th so no birthday yet, literally in a few minutes haha, i will be getting lunch with my friends (4 of them + mom and sister) and then one of them it’s staying over and we’ll have a lil pijama party haha, looking forward to it u.u

ok hold on. acomaf is my fave book out of the whole series (it's mostly out of emotional value, i read it when i was younger and didn't have a real understanding out trauma and abuse only that i saw a character i loved getting out of a bad situation and getting happy) so obviously i didn't mind feysand being endgame and the development all of the characters had. i can accept tamlin turned out like that is realistic due to his trauma, i can accept feyre had to flee because it wasn't right for her, but the thing is after acofs i see no point to feyre leaving tamlin when rhysand ends up doing everything they told us tamlin was evil and unredeemable for. hiding the risks of her pregnancy, putting on shields on her, having feyre need to compromise over it. i honestly felt so betrayed by that. i'm not saying feyre and tamlin were good for each other, but it doesn't feel worth it to dismiss the potential they had for what we got with feysand.

also, sarah learn to treat "ugly" trauma with respect challenge. no they don't need to learn to physically fight to fight it. no they don't need a love interest to overcome it. yes the behaviors acquired from trauma and abuse aren't pretty but that doesn't mean a person is undeserving of kindness and compassion.

i think i had a point somewhere but i can't get to it. so hope you don't mind my rambling. anyway i loved your meta about tamlin i think he deserves better too

BUT FUCK YEAH LETS TALK ABOUT RHYSAND.

I don't think it's a secret that Rhysand is one of my least favorite characters in media, probably ever? (How do I even put this into words) He is a bad character and to me, laughably so. You know how if you've ever written a character, there's that little phase that's like "what if people don't like this character' and then you're sad for a little bit? That's how Rhysand feels to me. He feels like SJM looked at this character and thought "I can't stand the thought of people not liking this character because I love him so much" and then did everything in her power to make sure we know how great he is.

Idk if this is just me screaming into the void, but I get to this place with my characters where like, especially if they are a little more morally gray or their decisions have negative impacts, I understand that I don't need the audience to like my main character. they can stand on their own, they can own up to what they do and they can grow from it. Thats what a good character does. That's how you keep your audience rooting for them. You gotta knock them over sometimes.

SJm doesn't knock Rhysand over. She doesn't push him to make mistakes, apologize, own up and move on. Rhysand has never made a decision that ended poorly for him. Everything goes the way he wants it to, because SJm wants us to know how cool and great he is. People who are cool and great don't make bad decisions! SJm doesn't let Rhysand fail, and she doesn't let him suffer his own decisions. Everyone else suffers his decisions, not him.

Rhysand's reputation as a good person hinges entirely on the audience liking him and/or thinking he's hot. And then what happens when the audience thinks neither of those things? Ya get a rly long post like this by a lil enby who is mad all the time. Rhysand loses all credibility when you look at him through a critical lens. Not a single thing the man does makes any goddamn sense. Here I thought acosf would give us a different perspective on Feysand and I was desperately hoping that Nesta would tell us what she really sees in them and how people around them really feel, I hoped that SjM would throw us for a loop and tell us that hey, she does know that Feysand are fucking toxic as hell and ruin the lives of people around them and she wants to show us that from an outside perspective but noooOoOOOoOoOOOO...

Instead we get Nesta hating herself because Rhysand told her that she shouldn't tell Feyre that Feyre could uh die in childbirth. Hey what the fuck.

Now I don't actually ship feylin, I kinda always sorta knew, even without spoilers, that it wasn't going to work out. Tamlin isn't sjm's idea of a good partner because he's not charming and witty and dark and handsome ya know? We met Rhysand and I knew that I was going to fucking hate this romance. Which sucks because I found Rhysand so intriguing in the first book. Ngl all the time spent in the spring court was kinda boring and every time Rhysand showed up to throw dead faeries at Tamlin I was like "oooooo" and I wanted to know more about why Tamlin, this awkward, blunt and kinda shy dude had beef with this super duper sly and shady man from another court.

I don't know if I've ever said this before, but SJm doesn't let her love interests grow. Rhysand doesn't change over the course of the story because he was already a good guy and his motives were for Feyre's sake I swear, the same goes for Rowan in TOG. SJm doesn't give Rhysand room to change. She needs to get to the part where they fuck make sure everyone knows that Rhysand is a good guy and actually he was good all along so that we like him more than Tamlin. It backtracks on everything bad Rhysand has ever done because you know... He had a good reason! It's fine!

I know it's probably just because SJm doesn't actually know how to write a good character growth arc but... Like can you imagine if Rhysand stayed the bad guy? Or at least remained the bad guy through acotar and acomaf? And then when Rhysand comes to take Feyre for his bargain it really was only to spite Tamlin? What about Rhysand, taking Feyre to the night court with him once a week every month for a long time, if only to see Tamlin's eyes grow darker and emptier every time he goes, and then he really starts to fall in love with Feyre. He's been a monster all this time, angry and cold and cruel and then he actually starts to fall in love. And then to get Feyre to stay he really does try to change, he stops antagonizing Feyre, he stops throwing dead faeries at Tamlin, and he stops harassing the Spring court. He starts spending genuine quality time with Feyre, he starts to learn about her and all the things she likes and he stops trying to get her to come with him just so Tamlin will be mad. He starts asking her to come with him because he wants to be around her and he prays that someday she'll want to be around him too. What if SJm let him grow.

But nahhhhhh instead we have a character who always knows the right answer to things, and he always knows how to fix every issue, and he is always so innovative and outside the box except that he isn't. We get a character who does the same shit as Tamlin but it's ok because he had a good reason not to tell Feyre that she could very well die in childbirth. Uhhhh don't know what that is but uhhh I know he has his reasons because all he has are his reasons.

It would be so easy to hold a mirror up to Rhysand and say "look at this. Look who you are. Do you not look just like Tamlin right now?"

But nooooooooOoOOOo Rhysand doesn't get to be wrong. Rhysand doesn't get to look like Tamlin because Tamlin is evil and Rhysand is definitely NOT I SWEAR.

But yeah I think the point I'm trying to make is that Sarah thinks so highly of Rhysand that he could never do wrong. He could never be like Tamlin, despite the narrative literally telling us the exact opposite.

Like you said, we lost the potential of what feylin could have been if SJm didn't suddenly decide that her audience needs to love Rhysand as much as she does. I think feylin could have been slow and sweet and a story of true healing and learning about one another. I think it would have been kind and steady and lots of "are you ok"s and "I'm sorry"s and "talk to me"s. Everything about Feysand feels rushed and hard and fast and the rest of the world doesn't have time to catch up. It's fucking exhausting to read it ya know what I'm saying.

(also can we talk about Rhysand like dying and Feyre finding the suriel and learning he's her mate and then instead of being like "k let's put a pin in that and fuckin save his life first" she like throws him around and everyone is like "wtf woman" and she's like I neeD tO Be alOnE these people have no idea how to prioritize)

Truly, I think it's innocent to a degree. There is absolutely no harm in wanting people to like your character. The harm comes when you destroy another character with no reason or explanation other than you want people to like a different character. Villain arc? Completely out of left field. You gotta build to that shit or like... Make it so that when you look back you slap your forehead and yell at a wall "OF FUCKING COURSE I SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT"

Moonlight [ modern rom ] Esther Yu + Ding Yuxi - this is such a cute drama omg. I haven’t gotten much further than the 6th episode as I quite honestly prefer the more depressing xianxia dramas lol, but whenever you feel sad or anything this drama is such a gem, I love the chemistry between the two main leads- it is so entertaining and so fun to watch.

Serenade of Peaceful Joy [ period ] - ngl although the costumes are so slay and the drama overall so beautiful, I can’t get my head into it. It’s a little too slow pace for me to really calm down and watch this. there’s also some long windy political court scenes which I don’t completely understand (maybe you have to know some history) but overall I don’t hate it. maybe at some point I will find my way back to it.

Love between fairy and devil [ xianxia ]  - sorry sorry I know this is such a fun a fan favourite but I- I'm lazy.

- ten miles of peach blossom [ xianxia ] tbh I really don’t get the deal? I really don’t like/care about any of the characters. maybe one day if I'm that bored I’ll watch a few more episodes and waste my hopes that it’d miraculously get better T-T

- immortal samsara [ xianxia ] very sob worthy, but it really- its- ugh- no. its pretty but I really can’t watch this show-

Wow ok!!! So ik i dont shut the fuck up about lupin but wowowowow!!! He lives rent free in my brain and i think abt him and the boys a lot!! Lupins a funky little fella and i just!!! The way he walks, the way he talks, his hands, his voice, his charisma, his everything basically makes me go crazy ya know?

For whatever reason, lupin(the character and the series) was easy to latch on to even from the start which is a big ol green light in my dummy brain. Lupin as a character has already been a huge support to me since I got into it along with the others such as jigen and goemon but Lupin was the first one out of the gang i got attached to.

Jigen!!! Jigen has also become a huge comfort character to me!! Hes very nice once you strip back the layers of him[tm] and idk hes just so loyal to his group not jusy lupin!! Hes just an all around funny guy who i think deserves better more than half the time.

The way this man speaks destroys me anytime. I love how Richard Epcar (one of hus dub va’s and my favorite of his dub va’s) does an excellent job of conveying Jigen’s emotions during different situations and just some of the things he says make me happy...

Goemon time!! Goemon is a little harder to describe. Hes a very complicated person that doesnt share a lot abt himself but when he does its done in such a good way!! He’s extremely driven and motivated to learn more and better himself as a samurai and i appreciate that a lot. Hes also just funny!! Hes a silly lil boy sometimes and i like it!!

Zenigata!! I dont talk about him too much on here but oh ny g o d this man!! Hes also a very driven individual but he cares about lupin and his little gang!! Even tho he wants to catch them its very obvious he cares about lupin’s wellbeing along with the others wellbeings. I see him as a kinda father figure ngl?? Anything for the only cop,,,

oh my GOD i love it SO MUCH (spoilers ahead)

luther has none of my respect at all. fucking hate him. he nearly killed vanya at the beginning of the season???? and then tried to find his ex girlfriend / sister who was already married and cried to her husband about it?????? he’s just. ew. 

onto diego! he was fun this season, i will admit that he’s a lil hot with a beard but also he just. the fact that david castañeda couldn’t stop laughing during the elevator scene just makes me appreciate him so much. also “hell yeah! i made that machine my bitch!” was my favorite line of his

allison is an absolute hero, she did so good this season!!! i just love her so much, and i’m glad she stood up for what she knew was right and also got married which was dope!! ray is much better than apeman :) (which by the way when she explained everything about 2019 to him he went “we have a black president?” which fits his character perfectly but he doesn’t even REACT to the whole umbrella academy dhfkfj he’s just like “i can excuse superpowered children but a black president, man....” but yeah i love ray anyway) yeah she’s just super amazing and i appreciate her

KLAUS!! he is my favorite i can’t explain how much i love him! i feel like he was just used for cheap puns this season, they could’ve elaborated more on him being able to physically interact with ben or the whole possession aspect but it was just used for a crappy v*mit joke that sent my anxiety through the roof which was Not Funky!  anyway i loved that everyone was like “haha klaus would start a cult” and gerard way went “i hear you” but also the whole plot line with dave was so sad and i feel terrible for him. ALSO! i hope in a possible season 3 they elaborate more on how he’s dealing with ben being gone. he’s had ben with him all his life, so he never really had to say goodbye like the others did, but now ben is gone forever and i really hope klaus is okay :(

five is a badass as usual, the episode where he meets up with his old-bodied self was truly iconic and gave us the classic line of “I’M THE DADDY HERE!” so we love that, but it really was a good episode besides that and his character was once again really important to the plot and all that! good lad!

ben......... i miss this man :( his scene with vanya made me absolutely bawl, he’s so sweet and was truly an amazing sibling to her and klaus. even if they fought sometimes, him and klaus were each other’s friends. however. i do think that his scene with vanya needed to be done with vanya, not klaus. him and klaus weren’t really able to get deep into their feelings with each other, but vanya and him were both the kinda ignored siblings, so to speak, with ben being dead and vanya being literally ignored, so i think their scene together was more meaningful and emotional than it would’ve been otherwise. anyway i can’t WAIT to see emo ben in the sparrow academy that FUCKED ME UP dgfjfh

VANYA I LOVE HER,,,,,,, im so glad that she was finally happy this season she deserved it!!! her and sissy were absolutely perfect together and i’m so glad that she was able to help harlan in any way she could. plus like. saving him from death kinda helps dgfjhf but anyway she just. she’s so great bro. i don’t know what to say about her ngl,,,,,, one of my three favorite characters (the others being klaus and allison!)

so there’s a separate paragraph for the scene with klaus, allison, and vanya all together because that was my absolute favorite scene ever. i’m so glad we got to see them bonding and just. acting like actual siblings!! they weren’t worrying about saving the world, just vibing together!! i loved that klaus called allison OUT with that whole “if you have to say technically you’re already not doing great” and the dancing scene was so sweet,,,,,, there was one moment where vanya jumps up and down before she hugs allison and klaus and it’s just so SWEET because technically (due to the time travel thing that happened) she’s the youngest sibling and just...... i have so many feelings dude

What’s a ship you don’t particularly care for? Not asking this for any particular reason :)) - MP

hmm ive mentioned before that fandom kinda destroyed creek for me, im holding off on looking at any creek content until i can stop cringing at it

ngl i shipped bunny way more before the attack of the crazy anons lmao

style im strictly platonic with, the ship is valid but their brotherhood gives me so many more feelings (I just tend to be more passionate and emotional about strong platonic bonds, I find romantic bonds can sometimes cheapen that)

i dont love or hate crenny and cryle, i have very little emotion towards either. cryle because it’s just an extension of the ‘kyle is a weak lil bottom and craig is his big Strong top’ in 90% of fandom for it but actually when i started to dissect how Craig and Kyle treat each other in canon I came to the startling realization that they are entirely apathetic towards one another. They don’t like, hate, dislike, love, admire, resent one another... they just really dont give a fuck that the other exists at all. I wouldn’t take this as such strong evidence against the ship if they never interacted (for example clymien never interacts so we can just let our imagination fill in the gaps on how they would interact) but since they have so many scenes together where they have interacted or could interact and have such a permanent apathetic emotion towards one another, i just feel that they have exactly 0 chemistry. As friends, as enemies, as a ship... if Craig and Kyle were locked in a closet together they’d come out having done nothing and talked about nothing. It’s not a matter of getting them to interact or to get to know the other, they do know the other and they just don’t care about them. It’s weird because the 10% of cryle fandom that isn’t cringy yaoi culture is usually giving cryle ooc staig or craigman dynamics which just leaves me feeling... if you were going to assign them staig/craigman dynamics, why not just do staig or craigman instead of making cryle so ooc. I can’t think of a single canon reason that they’d develop an interest in one another. (the only one i was able to find is that Kyle is an alien as the human kite and Craig likes space... and you gotta admit, that’s really thin, if we’re going that direciton craig and kevin s. is a much stronger ship, or hell, crenny). As for Crenny, I don’t love or hate it. I actually adore canon crenny content. I think it’s adorable how they held hands in earlier seasons and how they made their little animal videos together and they have a lot of canonical interests they share. Buttt.. I just don’t particularly ship it. I’ve tried to, but I don’t really feel that spark when you’re like “NOW KISS” about two fictional characters. altogether, I think I like them best as frenemies and occasionally as friends. they’re cute.

hmm i guess i saw some nelly x david the other day and i just didn’t really get it. didn’t love or hate it, just didn’t really see the appeal. i guess this would be the best example of a ship that i ‘don’t really care for’.

lesseeeee..... basically any ship using fanon personalities. if you gave me my otp with a fanon personality, it easily becomes my notp.

hm... i guess im also really apathetic about most Randy ships? but that could be because I’ve always found him boring (even before tegridy farms). I know he’s a fan fav because he’s ‘funny’ but the problem is that humor is subjective and he’s never tickled my funny bone.

yeah, I think the only ships I have a strong distaste for are fanon ships.
