Ever since you were a kid, your birthday was the most anticipated day of the year, counting down each day, gathering your friends and close family members for your typical birthday dinner which this time around was being held in her new house, the first house she ever bought with her big girl money,

"Honey I ordered the strawberry cheesecake you like, your brother will pick it up and bring it later today" your mom stated in the phone screen in front of where while she did her makeup, sadly your parents wouldn´t be able to make it to your birthday this year, they were on a trip to Europe and you were genuinely happy for them, you don´t turn 30 years of marriage every year.

"It´s okay mom, don't worry" you said smiling "By the way thank you for the flowers, they are the prettiest flowers I've gotten in the whole day" you said and sighed "What about Joe? Did he bring you the daises you love?" your mom said excitedly

"Um" you gulped "No, I haven´t heard from him since yesterday, he has been at practice the whole day, don't worry" you said scrathing your neck "I don´t want to hold you back anymore, I love you guys have fun" you said smiling as you heard your dad mumble "Happy birthday honey, we love you, you don´t turn 25 every day!" he said as you smiled and hung up.

Finishing doing your make-up, the door ranged "Coming" you called from the 2nd floor hoping to see your boyfriend on the other side of the door "Happy birthday bubbs I love you" best friend slash sister-in-law Molly said as your brother walked in with balloons and a bouquet of flowers. "Happy birthday kiddo" your older brother Nick said as he gave you a hug.

Molly and you have been best friends since high school, and eventually, your brother and her started dating when she was a sophomore in college and Nick was a senior, they got married last year and while you were happy for them you were a little bit saddened that they got married first, you and Joe had been dating since you were a freshman and he was a junior, you had talked about marriage before and you both knew you wanted to settle down together, plus after all you kind of understood why he hadn´t popped the question, he was in his second year in the NFL and he was concentrated on getting that ring, you hated to admit it but sometimes it haunted you in the middle of the night that maybe he wouldn't give you a ring until he got his, however before the season started and you were looking for a house Joe suggested you moved in with him, and while that was a topic you had in mind before, he never brought it up anymore.

“Look babe" you sat beside him in his living room with the computer in your lap.

"I think this painting would be cute in the hall before the stair what do you think?" you said smiling "Oh, it´s cute," he told side-eyeing it, and as much as you loved hearing his opinions on different things, you were mad he didn't stop you from buying it because that meant the thought of you moving in with him had left his mind.

"I´m going to miss being your roommate," you said while packing the stuff you had in his house in the 5 weeks you lived with him, it wasn´t the wisest decision to pay another month of rent if you were going to move into your new place in a few weeks so you moved temporarily into his house, hoping he would say something about you permanently living with him "Yeah, it was fun," he said looking at his iPad as he re-watched a play on Sunday, his O-line was letting the other team sack him and even though the Bengals won 37-35 due to a 2 point conversion play he was still bitter that the Saints got so close to winning the game.

"I'm going to put this in the trunk" you said going downstairs to pack the last few things needed to move to the new place and your phone rang.

"I´ve been calling you for the last hour, where were you," Noah said on the other line "Um," you said while accommodating the box on your hip to grab her phone and put it on speaker "I´ve been loading up mom´s truck with the stuff I need to move, you wouldn´t believe how many steps I've gotten today," you said chuckling "By the way," you said as you grabbed your phone making your way outside "Are you free tonight? I would really use some help to put a few things up like the TV and accommodate my bed" "Yeah I can give you a hand" your brother said on the other line "Great! I´m on my way there I´ll send you my location so you can come by. You´re the best bye!" as you hangs up and make your way back to Joe´s entrance, to grab your purse and the last box you needed to fully leave his house and go live on your own again,

"I´m going to my place, I´ll be back later" you yelled so Joe could hear her "OK!" he yelled back, closing the door you felt her stomach drop, it would be lies saying that his indifference hadn´t been bothering you lately, more than bothering it hurt, having no idea what was going on in your boyfriend's mine was a painful engraved thought in your mind,

After arriving at the new house and sending your brother the location, you began to arrange the things that were left in boxes so that when Noah arrived they would get everything done and he could head back home quicker, it had been heavy weeks, and as much as this big step was something you had done in the past, this time felt scarier and you didn't like that feeling.

Noah arrived shortly after a few things got done and as he was helping move the heavier stuff around he asked

"Where´s Joe? I assumed he would be here when I arrived and he wasn't so I thought he would get here later but clearly, he isn´t here" your brother said sitting at her new dining table as they both ate pizza that was ordered 30 minutes ago,

"Well you know, he´s busy," you said after taking a bite of your slice "Has he helped you at all?" he said in a tone you didn´t like, it was a tone of a mad slash worried big brother, you heard it for the first time when you were 15 and stood up on a date, you felt embarrassed for having to call your brother but after all, you always had a great relationship, he was her best friend and she was his, surely there were things you didn't tell each other but there was no use in trying to hide your sadness from him,

"No, I have no idea what has gotten to him, he has been so distant since before I moved to his house temporarily, he has been so concentrated on football and I get that, there are times I feel like maybe I´m just, I don´t know" tears started to form in your eyes stuttering "Maybe Im a distraction and it´s fine, I´m happy with him besides my birthday is coming up and I´m sensing he planned something for my special day," you said while feeling Noah hug her.

And your birthday, in fact, came around, it was around 8 pm when friends from college started to roll around, even Sam and Jamarr were stopping by, you invited the closest friend of Joe from the team, and as much as she loved the other ones you were really happy only both of them came to your birthday they were also your friends and you enjoyed being in their presence.

"I have no idea why he isn´t here, he left early from practice and we assumed it was because of her birthday" You overheard Sam talking to your brother before you entered the rest room, "Look, I´ll call him and see what´s up, maybe he is stuck in traffic," Jamarr said and Noah replied "Yes but make it quick because we need to sing happy birthday to her" and after what felt forever Molly made her way to her best friend with a cake on her hands and pink candles waiting to be blown, to your left it was Sydney, your best friend since the womb, your moms had been forever best friends and got pregnant at the same time without planning and she knew you like the back of her hand, "Make a wish G!" Sydney said looking at Gracie with her big green orbits, " I wish you were here to celebrate my birthday with me," you thought, blowing the candles, thinking of Joe.

You felt like the prettiest woman that had ever walked on earth, but what´s the point of feeling pretty if the person you thought while looking for this dress wasn´t there to twirl you around and tell you how pretty you looked, it was the most worrying thought but we have all felt that way sometimes. What do you do when the one who means the most to you is the one that didn´t show?

Tears streamed down your face, it was now 11:59 and you hadn´t heard from Joe in the whole day. When you started dating you told him this was the day you were most excited about "I will always be there to celebrate with you, I will make every day your birthday if I need to" he said before giving your face kisses.

Remembering that know, hurt, it hurt in ways you never knew could hurt, you were scared this day would come, it was this irrational fear of abandonment you felt since you were a kid, you told Joe the thing that haunted you in the middle of the night and this was one of them.

But as the hours ticked by and everyone went home, Joe still hadn't shown up. Your hurting became worrying. You tried calling him, but he didn't answer. You sent him text after text, but he didn't respond. As the night wore on, you started to feel more and more anxious. Was he okay? Had something happened to him? There was no way he would forget her girlfriend's birthday right? He was in love with her and he would never hurt her, right?

You cried her way to sleep and woke up to a few texts

Amore: Happy birthday!!

Amore: I´m sorry I didn´t make it last night I came home and fell asleep and woke up about 10 minutes ago. I´m leaving for an away home at 3pm, I promise you we will celebrate when I come back. Love you!

You didn´t reply, your brain was empty and having a headache due to the tears, it was the worst birthday ever. As the morning went by and you scrolled on TikTok you came across a video that broke your heart. It was Joe sitting in your favorite restaurant, sitting in a booth across from a woman you had never seen before, it looked like they were having a great time and you hadn't seen Joe smile like that in forever. Was this it? Should you confront him?

He should´ve been there, with the "Baby, I'm here smile" with the biggest bouquet of flowers and telling you how pretty you were the whole night, looking at you with loving eyes but he wasn´t there, he was with someone else and that made your heart sank, how could you be so sure he would be the father of your kids and the one you would grow old with if he didn't felt the same?

Random thought, but it might be worth saying since Tumblr is something like 43% users from North America:

I'm in Norway, and today is the superbowl. People here don't really give a rat's ass about the game. Some of them watch the commercials on YouTube or the halftime show if it's someone they recognize. But they don't follow teams like Americans do. In order for Europeans to understand the superbowl, and in order for Americans to understand that Europe DOES have something like this as well, we turn to the Eurovision Song Contest

Now, I have also caught eurovision on occasion as well, and it can be fun too. I'd put that on about the scale of the superbowl for the amount of attention it gets and how excited people are for following their "team".

With every country sending in a band or group or a performer and cheering them on? Oh and what's this? Advertisers KNOW that way more people are watching, so they put on much bigger and more lavish commercials during the song contest than they do the rest of the year? Oh damn. I guess we DO actually understand each other then, don't we?

As a very important side note: Eurovision is an important political time too. Which is why it's so, So SOOOOOOO disappointing that Isreal gets to perform and Palestine doesn't. Like Are. You. Fucking. Serious!?

i'm from europe and went to the gorcery store yesterday. all of the sudden there's NFL merch which is CRAZY to me. american football is/was never big here ever. also saw a newspaper with a pic of taylor from the game (sans travis) on the front page taking about her 'love'. there's NO WAY IN HELL this isn't a PR operation to make the nfl more popular around the world with taylor's help. it's SO obvious it's crazy

I know a lot of Hetalians don't follow Sports, which is understandable. But the NFL is in London right now and has been for a couple weeks. They've been going there every year since I think 2021 if memory serves. And they've been playing games every weekend. Like a bunch of teams are there, and I love when they go to Europe to play games it's always so wholesome the stadium is always sold out and they got American BBQ & Tailgates outside. I know I posted last year some about the games they had in Germany. But the England games are always wholesome too. They seem to really like the Vikings there Idk why that is. Don't know much of the lore maybe they were the first team to play there so everyone just said, "Vikings it is" It's just cute to see because teh Vikings get really jazzed up because in America they are not one of the "favorite" teams but when they go to London even when they are not playing people are wearing their Vikings jersey. I mean it's totally respectable the Vikings have the prettiest jerseys, that could also be a factor lol. Just the purple team lol. The Vikings play really well in London you can tell they really feed off the crowd.

Travis made a brilliant play contributing to a touch down but was denied due to a team mates penalty.

During the game, NFL announcer and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo referred to her as "Travis' wife" while on the air with announcing partner Jim Nantz.

"As you see, Kelce's wife, Taylor Swift, in the audience," Romo pointed out, quickly correcting himself and saying, "I'm sorry -- girlfriend."

"Not yet," Nantz said in response.

Chiefs were defeated 17 - 20.

USA Today reports that Taylor has donated $1 million to a Tennessee tornado relief Fund (x) after a Tornado ravaged the state on Saturday 9 Dec.

Jason and Travis limit talking about Taylor although when the brothers chat about the No.1 & No.2 sales of NFL jerseys in the UK, they give credit to Swifties for helping with the success of topping the sales and Travis gives a "shout out to Kylie and Taylor." Travis suggests that perhaps they could "find our way over there this off season and say hello to everyone in person" and record a live show in the UK. Jason replies "we also got an opportunity to do one in Australia - we could make it a world tour"

Any one know of an international pop star who may be touring in the UK and Australia in 2024 that coincides with the NFL off season? Are the Kelce brothers hinting that Travis and perhaps Jason will join Taylor on tour next year? It should be noted that Patrick Mahomes has also raised the idea of possibly catching the Era's Tour in Europe in the off season too...

The boys answer "No Dumb Questions" from handle "metal-as-hell", a reference to Taylor's TIME article calling Travis "metal as hell" when he publicly declared his interest in dating Taylor.

Taylor Swift's 34th Birthday - Taylor heads to Banzarbar, NYC with friends to celebrate her birthday into the early hours of the morning - Happy Birthday Taylor! what do you think of the tkachuk vs mcdavid "face of the nhl" debate?

since people magazine called tkachuk the "face of the nhl" butthurt hockey men are saying that will never be true because mcdavid is the face of the nhl. the way i see it, mcdavid might be the best player but he has the personality of beige wallpaper and tkachuk might be a rat but seems to have a fun personality

also, who do you think the nhl should market more to be the "face"? boring but the best players in the world (mcdavid, crosby, mckinnon etc) or talented fun personality guys (tkachuk, pasta, zegres etc)

I see it the same as you do.

No one can deny that McDavid is currently and will continue to be the best NHL forward - it is something every single person who gets into the world of ice hockey and consequently even the world of the NHL grasps and accepts as a fact.

However, just as you have said Connor has a personality of beige wallpaper (I love that term so much by the way). You see it every single time he is asked to do any sort of promotional content during the All-Star Week, before the season shooting, or during it. The outcome of that is always something you can hardly sell to his fans, who are die-hard supporters of the cult of "McJesus" - even those people oftentimes consider it as unwatchable - so now imagine what would people, who have no idea what NHL is, say if McDavid really was the face and his content would be the one, with which would the league be trying to expand its fanbase.

It's not that I blame him for being socially awkward, everyone has a different sort of personality and not everyone is born as a social butterfly with an undeniable charm, but the NHL and those fans who passionately defend his "face of the league" title need to realize that being the best player and the most marketable player thus the face of the league are two completely different roles and McDavid can play only the first one. Just like Crosby.

Simultaneously, you have to take into consideration that they are looking for primarily an American face of the league - that's market where they are competing with other big and more known leagues like NFL, NBA, and so on, you don't need that much promotion in Canada where it is a national sport or in Europe where you could definitely find many more fans but where you have the huge disadvantage of the time difference so you will never have thousands of Europeans watching the games at 2 AM when they have to go to work the next day. If you use a Canadian or European player as the face of the league, it won't register as big of a success as you would love to. This is the USA we are talking about, the most ridiculously patriotic country I know, they want an American face or else they won't support it.

That's why the league is pushing guys like Matthew Tkachuk or Auston Matthews (or at times even Zegras) because they are both players with actual talent but also a big marketability aspect and mainly with American passports.

Naturally, there are players who would be even bigger internet sensations if they were American - look at David Pastrnak, that man has been born a showman and a great player on top of that, he would absolutely kill the face of the league game if he wasn't from the Czech Republic and so would Mitch Marner if he wasn't Canadian, hell even Brad Marchand has an elite personality or Jaromir Jagr if he once again wasn't Czech. To this day Jagr is the most beloved player from the big guys (Gretzky, Lemieux, Ovechkin...) because he was and still is a f*cking comedian on top of being an ice hockey legend.

Hey Gina, I wanted to throw my analysis brain in the ring regarding the discussion of she who must not be named, mostly cuz I've been seeing a lot of discussion regarding mutually beneficial PR and it's a great example.

So regarding Travis and T*ylor everyone needs to remember that all public figures want to be in the media and mostly they want things that make them look good.

T*ylor tends to have really good PR but she's had a bit of a hit this year in dating PR. The split between long-term beard Joe Alwyn and her, then the quick fling with controversial Matty Healy of the 1975 put her not in the best books dating rumors wise. She also has a pretty massive want for good PR, a massive concert tour that's going to Europe next year and Two re-releases of her former albums,the second of which occurs next month. Dating a "all-American" good boy puts her in a nice spotlight. Someone who just won the Super Bowl and is playing on the best team could also open her to even more audiences.

Well this shows what she has to gain, why would Travis want this amount of attention. First, he is 33, he's been in the NFL for 10 years, his position lasts about 12-14 if they don't get hurt. By being seen with her it puts him in a favorable spot to potentially score a nice gig following his playing career. Second, he has loyalty to the Kansas City Chiefs( yes I too hate this name), he has played his whole career there. With her their the game had over 24 million people watching over 10 million more than the week prior. Huge increase for the game.

My theory is that this is not just PR for Travis Kelce too, it's great PR for the NFL, which is something they constantly need since they get plenty of bad press. The NFL has also been trying to expand markets to Europe. With the first game of that expansion happening in London this weekend. By having such buzz around American Football, they can maybe get more people watching in Europe and not just the US.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is a longer PR relationship since she's probably going to put out her next rerelease in the beginning of next year then tour Europe with Kelce jumping along bringing more discussion of American Football and the NFL with him to Europe potentially helping the market expansion the NFL has been wanting for almost 5 years.

If this mutually beneficial PR works for T*ylor, someone we mostly view as not needing it and has the potential to repair bad press from other PR relationships, it's not far off to think that H wouldn't benefit similarly from Hussell.

P.S. I can't believe I just used my history teacher analysis to discuss a person and sport I don't even like lol, the things I do for Larry. Also sorry for discussing her, I just think she's and unfortunately good example for indepth analysis.

Yeah, it’s completely obvious that the pairing is 100% PR. In fact, it’s so obvious, it’s lit up like a neon sign you can see from Mars. But I didn’t know that about the NFL. That makes it even more clear and I think you’re very, very right.

People who really think someone like T*ylor doesn’t “need” PR don’t seem to use their brains very much. PR isn’t just for getting your name out there and becoming more famous.

Does Taylor benefit from PR?

I see a lot of comments that Taylor does not need PR, while yes, Taylor is super famous, this doesn't mean she doesn't benefit from public interest. Any known celebrity relationship is inherently going to create PR and interest, that doesn't mean that's all there is to it. This post has Google Trends results to gauge interest.

First here you can see Taylor, Travis, the NFL and the Super Bowl all benefited with more interest during this pairing. (link)

Taylor's albums haven't really benefited, but the Eras Tour did. Era's is sold out, but the interest was well timed for the movie. The peak for the Eras Tour is 15-21 October 2023 when it was released in Cinemas, Taylor and Travis also appeared on SNL then. 1989 TV was the next week, the Google game created the first peak for 1989 TV. Interest in Eras peaked again when TK came right before the Disney+ release. (link)

In the last 90 days interest in their relationship has changed from engagement to break up. Engagement peaked at the Super Bowl, break up peaked March 16, the day of the Bob Iger article. Taylor had not been seen for a week but Travis had been seen alone. (link) Interest in Travis is largely in the US, his trip to Australia and Singapore cause a slight (2%) increase in interest there.

In terms of public interest, Taylor and Travis are still only 75% of the level of interest there was in Harry and Taylor. More isn't always good, Harry and Taylor have spoken and sung about how hard that was, especially given their ages. Haylor has continued to be of interest, when they spoke at the 2021 and 2023 Grammy's it surpassed Taylor's then relationship with Joe. Taylor's first increases are album releases. One Direction was more popular than Taylor or Harry when they dated until 1989. 1989 TV caused an increase for Harry, ending his tour caused a drop. (link)

In summary, the timing of Taylor's relationship with Travis was quite fortuitous with the release of 1989 TV, the Eras Movie and the Eras Tour. It will be interesting to see how this interplays with the Eras tour in Europe, release of TTPD and start of football training. It's also of note that although Taylor has sustained interest over time, she has never been Google searched more than she is now.

NFL QB Club 97 isn't really that much different from NFL QB 96 to be honest. As always with these types of games all that's changed are the team stats and a few little cosmetic changes. Basically, it's the same game so if you own '96 there's not really much point in owning this unless you're an American Football nut or a Saturn collector like me. Oh, and if you are looking for a Japanese copy, you can only get it on the Sega Saturn. There is also a PS1 version, but it was only released in the USA and Europe. And so, this wraps up the entire NFL catalogue on the Sega Saturn in Japan.

But they have a very long break, the NFL also has a long break. We don't have that in football.

Nagelsmann: I know Oliver Mintzlaff very well. I can't imagine that there's a clause in the contract. I'll ask, then I'll think about how to answer.

• on Bernd Leno refusing a call-up because he was told he wouldn't play: He made demands that I couldn't fulfill. I showed him an interesting perspective, but he wasn't so happy with that. Everyone has to decide for themselves.

Nagelsmann: I'm not closing the door, but that hasn't opened it very wide either.

Lol, this is an interesting ask...

Will - Despite his calm exterior, Will enjoys the fast pace of ice hockey and enjoys the on-ice rivalries and fights. He prefers to watch it live, soak in the atmosphere and in the past he's had season tickets with Benny for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Was very disappointed when they were knocked out of the first round of the playoffs this year by the Maple Leafs (😒🍁)

Benny - He'll tell you it's MMA, which is true. But low-key has an obsession with WWE, religiously watches both Smackdown & Raw (B, your past interests are showing) and it's on the most obnoxiously large TV he could find with his full sound system in his living room.

Santiago - most of his "contracting" has taken him to Europe and South America and during that time he's developed an interest in soccer (*football*), but doesn't have a preference for a particular team, he'll watch whatever is on. But watches highlights on his cell phone when he has reception.

Frankie - in my head he doesn't really have a sport, not to say he doesn't enjoy watching any, he'll attend a hockey game with Will, will indulge Benny in watching an MMA fight had attended his fair share of Super Bowl parties. But he enjoys quiet, he'll maybe watch the fishing network now and then to just enjoy the serenity of it. There's a reason he's called catfish...

Tom - Football, all the football. College, state, NFL - if it has a football, he'll watch it. Tom, recently separated has a modest flatscreen TV to watch it on that he got from Costco. The TV still has the film on the front and he hasn't bothered to buy a TV stand, just uses the box it came in.

He returned to sportscasting for NBC when he hosted the prime-time coverage of the 1988 Summer Olympics from Seoul and the PGA Tour.

He was made the principal anchor of Today and broadcast from Vietnam, Vatican City, Europe, South America, and much of the US. His work on Today earned him several Emmys and a large fanbase. He is the third longest-serving co-host of Today. He stepped down from the show on January 3, 1997, after 15 years.

He hosted various shows before becoming the co-host of the network’s morning show The Early Show. He was hosting The Early Show on the morning of September 11, 2001. Prime Video are running an NFL pass, they have different offers running but you can watch games and they’ll do reruns too if they’re on too late for you. It’s one options to watch games this season, sure there are others but this was easiest way for me. Thought the info might be useful ☺️
