｡* ‧ ☾ whoa wait was that SHAWN MENDES? no, that is DANTE SYLVAS and they are employed at the prison as TEACHER. they’re 24 years old, and seem pretty fit for that job. hopefully they can handle it in the prison because some people have said they’re PERCEPTIVE, STRONG-WILLED a lot of the time, but if you ask me they seem to be VAIN, CONTEMPTUOUS.

This young man earned his degree in environmental studies, focusing on conservation ecology, from the University of California Santa Barbara after a grueling five years at school. He was in the middle of working on his master’s, but was missing the requisite field experience. Finding work in any relevant fields immediately after was, naturally nowadays, extremely difficult right off the bat. But after an unusual stroke of luck, he wound up applying and being interviewed for a position teaching environmental literacy, policies, history, and human impact. 

Honestly he had no desire to be a teacher, especially when he initially heard where exactly he would be teaching. But he’d be damned if he turned down something that paid that well, even if they were evidently eager enough to hire someone as fresh-faced as himself. Besides, the idea of helping people in need better understand their involvement with the world and potentially even earn green jobs was a sweet idea.

He loves to cook. Nothing makes him prouder than creating something wonderful in both appearance and taste. He was always a bit of a stickler for pretty things, and is secretly a bit of a romantic at heart; though only because he sees it as something he’ll never have. He also likes to sing - but he sucks.

Not afraid to speak his mind, but always maintains an air of someone with a secret. First impressions may portray him exactly how he sees fit, and that’s usually as a friendly, smiling, almost warm personality - though usually this just means he wants something from someone. In reality, he is much more quiet and cold, and would really only prefer to spend his time doing things or with people he deems acceptable.

honestly, I am still figuring this little shit out but here is something i know for him:

his father died when he was young, causing his brother to join the order to help support him and his mother

when he was old enough balthazar joined the oder to follow his brother’s footsteps wanting to help support his mother too 

they didn’t grow up in the best part of chicago and never had much money 

even when he raised the ranks of the order he didn’t have much money 

it was never his dream work, but he was good at it and it brought in enough money which was the main goal. 

he got caught with drug possession but it was when he got arrested the other charges came into light. 

he has been in alcatraz for almost a year now, serving what he hopes isnt a life time sentence

would you look at that? it looks like CHRISTIAN BORLE was finally brought in. oh, no that’s just JAMES FINCH who is 35 and is rumored to be a member of N/A. word on the block is that they’re in for DRUG TRAFFICKING, PROSTITUTION AND ARSON. rough, right? might want to avoid them if they really are EMPATHETIC, DETERMINED and that’s on a good day. on a bad they’re said to be NEUROTIC, NARCISSISTIC.

James is a curious amalgam of self-hatred and narcissism.

It didn't get bad until later into his life, though. It was when he entered his 20s-30s that he finally started doing the things that would eventually land him into the most notorious prison in the world.

The crimes they charged him with were drug trafficking, arson and prostitution. Sure enough, he had done all of that, and more than once. Thank God that the law didn't find out about the other things that he had done.

He was in another prison at first, with a 30 year sentence. But as some things happened that he didn't quite care enough about to understand, he was moved into Alcatraz. His sentence still remained the same, of course.

Maybe that was a sign. A sign that he was meant for better, greater places than some noname prison. He welcomed this change with open arms.

whoa wait was that  JASON RALPH ? no, that is  RHYSAND AUCLAIR  and they are employed at the prison as  ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGIST . they’re 30 years old, and seem pretty fit for that job. hopefully they can handle it in the prison because some people have said they’re  INQUISITIVE, PASSIONATE  a lot of the time, but if you ask me they seem to be  HOPEFUL, NAIVE .

Rhysand grew up in Brooklynn/New York City and has an older brother

Rhys was the kid that grew up fascinated with the macabre and darker things in life. 

He is unsure where this fascination came from but carried it through his whole life

When he was a teenager, he became fascinated with the Brooklynn Ripper, a serial killer who was at large, and wanted to learn everything he could about them convinced that he could be the one to figure out who it was

He never figured it out but he did end up going to school for psychology and is still currently in school for it, which is why he is just a little assistant at alcatraz.  

The only real relationship Rhys had in his life was with a law enforcement person who worked on the Brooklynn Ripper case. His ex called him out on being too obsessed, saying he was using him to get closer to the case. Rhys didn’t think he was but he may have on accident...he just wanted to know everything he could about it. 

Even though he is just a little assistant this is a dream job for him and he loves every second talking to the criminals about why they are there and what they did to get there.

Ken was brought up by his grandmother on his father’s side, after witnessing his mother killing his father in a heat of rage when Ken was just seven years old.

Ken has never spoken to his mother since who is still in prison today for the murder of his father.

He became a psychologist to try to fully understand why his mother ruined their family.

He’s not the brightest tool in the box, but he has a gift for speaking to people, though can be naive at times with what people tell him.

Ken has only ever worked within prisons after getting his degree, due to his interest in his mother’s crime and the way a criminal mind works.

Ken was offered two jobs before coming to Alcatraz, one before for Alcatraz and the other being for the prison where his mother is impression, he took his father’s surname, and of course decided to work at Alcatraz.

Witnessed Mal murder their father infront of him.

Was brought up by Mal there afterwards and looked up to him more of a father figure then as a brother.

Dmitry knew what his brother was up to and seeing the world his brother had involved himself in and with The Reapers he was part of, he decided he would never become like his brother.

Dmitry worked hard at school even though he is dyslexic, meaning he had trouble with words and reading, he managed to get top grades and studied law at college.

This was where he met Peter for the first time, he was the first and only person he had ever truly opened up to and shared every piece of him and his past. However, Peter left college suddenly to go back home for his father’s sudden death and never returned to college and the two lost contact.

Years past and Dmitry became a lawyer and would be a common image at Mal’s bar where he heard all about The Reapers activity and what his brother was up to, but due to it being his family, he turned a blind eye to it.

Dmitry finally found Peter again at a strange turn of events and the two started dating once more. It was here that Dmitry dissolved Peter was part of The Order, a rival gang to his brother, and so he kept his love life a secret from Mal, telling him he was married to his work to have time to find someone.

However, as time went on, Peter introduced Dmitry to his world and as time went on, Dmitry soon became a member of The Order. Though this life the two planned was short lived when Peter went missing and was thought of to be dead.

The death of Peter crushed Dmitry and he decided to do what Peter believed in as it kept the memory of Peter alive or Dmitry and so he worked even more with The Order.

Coming up to just over ten months after Peter’s disappearance, Dmitry was at Mal’s bar and went down to get someone from the basement for the bar staff, however, this was the moment he would finally discover what had happened to Peter. When down in the basement, he came across a door he had never seen before and his interest becoming the better of him, he went in and looked. There, he found the heads of the people his brother had killed, sort of like trophies, and there it was, Peter’s head. That was when something switched inside of Dmitry, a feeling he had never felt before. After witnessing Mal killing their father, Dmitry said he would never kill anyone himself. However, seeing Peter’s head in a pole looking at him, all he could see was Mal dead. Going upstairs with nothing but red in his eyes, he went up to confront his brother and a fight broke out between the two. This was when the police raided the bar and arrested the pair.

the whole reason alastair is behind bars is because he seems to have shitty luck, regardless of where he is or who he is with. born alastair reece tulach, he was given up the moment he was born because his mother "didn’t want him,” though she had no issue keeping her other four children. being an unwanted child wasn’t something he really started to understand until he got older and was bounced from foster family to foster family. everyone wanted a baby -- sure -- but they didn’t want the baby to grow up and when he hit his toddler phase, his foster parents got worse and worse.

as time progressed, he continued to do what he could. he attended school, he got good grades. he did everything he could in hopes it was enough for an adoption to happen, but it never was. being a teenager in the foster system was rough, especially since no one wanted to speak to teenagers. at eighteen, he decided he could no longer wait to age out of foster care in scotland and he disappeared without another word to his foster family. being on his own was rough -- he’ll be the first to tell you that -- but he did what he could. he got a job, but it wasn’t enough to pay his bills. prostitution had come easily to him. it started off with him dancing at the local club, but slowly turned into something more when he realized he could make even more money. unfortunately, the man who took an interest in him promised him everything, but there had been a big catch. he had to leave scotland. he was offered a promise of a better life, so he did what anyone in his position would have done. he went without questioning anything.

his trip to america was spent with forty others, locked away in a shipment container. the whole trip took far too long and when he landed in america, he was met with a bunch of men in suits. those deemed ugly were killed on the spot and those that could be trafficked were given a pimp, even if they didn’t want one. THE ORDER was many things, but for alastair -- he is thankful for one thing. they gave him a passport and managed to get him an american citizenship without much difficulty. 

he was kept on a pretty short lease, auctioned off to the highest bidder on numerous occasions. he remembered returning to his pimp with bruises everywhere and the beating he received from him had been even worse. apparently he hadn’t done what he needed to and one compliant almost ended his life. afraid of what his life was becoming, he ran. he probably shouldn’t have, but he did. he was young. he was dumb. he left chicago, but he stayed in illinois, hoping they’d just believe he left the state entirely. the fact he left after they had given him a new life didn’t sit well and unknown to alastair, they kept a close eye on him from the shadows.

he was 20 when he started dating someone from the reapers. it lasted lass than an hour before the man was killed and he was framed for it. his pimp was the one that killed the member from the reapers, leaving him in an even worse position when he actually ended up in alcatraz, sentenced to 70 years for a crime he had nothing to do with. given his track record, they pinned prostitution onto his crime, tossing alastair right in the middle between both gangs that have no qualms about what happens to him now.

hey everyone! i’m xs and i’ll be playing dr. jung pak, one of the psychologists at alcatraz. he’s genuinely a good, moral guy who wants to help the inmates the best he can... even if it means sacrificing his own well-being and sanity in the process. unfortunately for jung, his empathetic personality makes him susceptible to manipulation. i’d love to explore this side of himself with inmates who use him (not necessarily for sex but he IS a submissive lil bottom who will bend over for anybody with enough coaxing whoops) but he’s open for all sorts of relationships!
