Earned my #medalmonday bling at @newyearsrace last night! I completed the 9.3 challenged and kept my legacy status, been running this since 2013 🙌🏽 Such a great run last night! (at New Year's Race Los Angeles)

What a #race! I was super nervous for this race, mainly because I wanted to do really really well. I have done this #newyearsrace 3 years in a row and every year I placed overall female. Ironically though as I get faster, my rankings drop. First year I was first overall, 2nd year I was second overall and this year I was 3rd overall. What did #Jesus taught me? 🎊Being a winner is different in God’s eyes than from the world’s Matthew 20:16 says: “The last will be first, and the first will be last.” The world sees success as being first. First in status, first in wealth, first in beauty, first in speed and so on. But Jesus doesn’t see us that way. He cherishes and equips the least recognized to do great things. Moses had a speech problem, yet he saved the Egyptian people from slavery. David was a murderer, yet he was one of the greatest Kings. Paul persecuted Christians, yet he wrote the majority of the new testament of the #Bible. Jonah ran from God, yet he brought hope and salvation to a very lost city. I was reminded that I do not need to conform to the world standards to be the best I can be with #Jesus.
