How were you first introduced to aphmau?

The way I got into her is actually very funny to me. I did not find her myself. It was my older brother of all people. He started watching MCD and was like "hey! I think you would like this!" so I decided to look her up. I tried to watch the first episode of MCD season 1, as there were only a few episodes at this point. But something in me was not hooked immediately, at least in the way I expected. So I looked on her channel and decided to see what else was there. That is when I found the series that would get me hooked. Mod Mod World. My brother did not watch that series (nor did he ever), so I was totally alone in my evolving insanity about it. So in the middle of watching it (or I ran out of episodes and was awaiting more), I went back to MCD, and yep. I was into it immediately into it. Got more into it than my brother ever was, and that's why one of us has seen every single episode of every MCD-adjacent series and has a tumblr blog writing about it like eight years later and the other does not think about that series until he is forced to hear his sister rant about it again. I feel like he probably regrets his decision to tell me about aphmau sometimes.

aphmaus recent vidcon news is..interesting and yknow what, i know we are most likely getting a mystreet update, and i dont wanna be too harsh here but i fear that its gonna go right back to cocomau videos after she DOES finish mystreet finally, cause..come on

that girl is not gonna try and remake mcd for a THIRD TIME, that poor series ever getting a proper redo died as soon as the pandemic happened and her switching to brainrot content

and..my inner demons?...fuck..girl I don't know...like..did anyone even ask about MID at the last vidcon panel??? like..AT ALL???

Like truely I'd love it if maybe her finishing mystreet could be a great way to launch her into posting GOOD content again especially if shes showing her newer audience something that isnt colorful sludge, and maybe we could see mcd maybe in a different form one day, like a poorly written novel/j, as she creates even newer roleplays, like god she could maybe bring back void paradox!...but i also have a strange feeling that shes finishing mystreet with season 7 and nothing beyond that, just to wrap it up and get it out of her hair.

But thats just my opinion really, we really could get the good ol classic roleplays again, i just hope season 7 isnt getting rushed or half-assed, as much shit as i may give jess, i still want mystreet to conflude in a good and loving way, aphmau may not be the best writer but her series are exciting and engaging, and it would be sweet genuinely to have this new generation of aphmau fans get to see what aphmau and her team can do when they actually TRY and make entertaining work.

(plus I can't bare to have to witness every character from mystreet or mcd get further flanderized like they do in the cocomau verse, like...the only person who got a better personality was kim but shit everyone else is just assholes or are a pain in the ass to watch...or...is fucking both....COUGH aaron lycan COUGH)

MCD Rewrite Aphmau! Feat. Some Headcanons (more will be added as I think of them.)

The most important part of this Aphmau is that, due to her having been slumbering in the Irene dimension for a long time, she no longer speaks modern language, and has to learn from Garroth and Emmalyn.

Thus, she has a distinct accent and way of speaking, as the newer languages are not her first. She learns quickly though.

She’s dressed in armor because I imagine that although she forgot what life was like before, she knows the world is very dangerous, and she wanted to protect herself.

I imagine this Aphmau to be very competent, as I imagine that she is actually Irene, but an Irene who wiped her own memories due to her sadness, and occasionally has dreams of her past life that startle her. She knows how to do most things on instinct, and is an impressive fighter.

Also she’s ripped.

She’s persistent, passionate, willful, and willing to do anything for her people. She’s also intelligent and an excellent strategist. Despite this, she can be a dreamer who wants to see the best in everyone, and can be too trusting in that aspect. She’s also got a temper, and when anyone she cares for is in danger, she loses it.

Garroth falls for her as he watches her grow alongside her repairs of the village. He watches her become the lord he could never be, and the one he always knew he would serve loyally.

Laurence falls for her slower, not until after he gets back from the nether and she helps him rehabilitate. He considered her a good friend before that, but as she guide him around when he’s blind, he gets all crush-y.

I think she falls for Garroth in the end tho, like romantically, and she and Laurence have more of a qpr type deal? I can’t decide honestly. I just know she and Garroth are soulmates. (I also don’t want to say that one relationship is inherently less valuable because it isn’t romantic, so you’ll probably see me fiddle around with these ideas.)

Being a goddess that can’t reincarnate, I think she’d be unable to have biological children, hence why she adopts so many. She really wants to be a mother.

from what it looks like its mostly newer creators and people on tiktok kind of not really older minecrafters i dont know if stampy was there but it seemed lacking many people actually. but i didnt listen honestly i dislike tommy and aphmau so. for a 15th anniversary special its serverly lame it didnt mention all the things that were built from minecraft i dont think either like no mcc, no munchymc nothing wait they dint have one of the oldest still going minecrafters bbh or skeppy i dont think

When I look at the thumbnail (on aphmau stories) I’m a little less worried about Jesson dumbing down the tone. Mainly because of Aaron’s expression tbh. That very hollow look that resembles more of a husk of Aaron comforts me that Aphmau is going to not be afraid to make MyStreet dumbed down for the newer audience

And then she keeps like lowkey queerbaiting us with Zane x Ein she had a video where Zana broke up and Zane got together with Ein and like they were actually healthy?
