S.S. AMERICA...From Damage To Perfection

Restoring this antique Van Ryper model was, by far, an interesting project -with a interesting history...S.S. AMERICA was renamed nine different times during her career before meeting her fate under the name S.S. AMERICAN STAR. S.S. Nobska Project

While S.S. NOBSKA was New England’s favored steamboat in the Cape Cod Region, S.S. ALEXANDER HAMILTON was New York’s favored steamer on the Hudson River which highlighted steamboat travel in its heyday of 1967...Both vessels were built as models. But here, I personify the era with a current build which place NOBSKA in a ‘better visual’ beyond the model.
