Absolutely love the Infodump on Cookie she's so good. however!! I remember you made a trio of characters for this game and were torn about which one to play, then decided the other two could be his attendants.

How are those two, what are they up to?? Have you done much with them in the game so far? (And even if not, wanna give us some tastey information about 'em?)

oooh yes! those two are sir velvet the unsmiling (it/she), and damned-if-i-do/dandy (he/they). let's pull up their art (esp now that i have crispy clean new scans!!! i think i have only ever posted this art as shitty phone pics prior to this)

ANYWAY. it turns out that even though attendants are a built-in part of the noble sweetheart playbook (cookie's title) and you're SUPPOSED to be using them... for me in practice, when i'm actually playing the game, i just keep totally forgetting lmfao!!!! :') rping with my other party members and chasing quests and stuff is so engaging that my brain is totally booked with just being cookie, let alone two additional npcs, so sadly dandy and velvet have not gotten a ton of screentime in the current campaign

BUT that really just makes me eager to one day play them properly in a different campaign, whether that's them each taking their turn as player characters like was originally intended, or when i'm GMing a campaign of my own (i'm trying to write up something for my friends, but i have no idea when it's actually gonna happen bc i'm so busy rip... but when i do, cookie and her attendants will def be npcs)

i honestly don't have MUCH i can say abt them, bc since i haven't played them much i also havent developed them much... i suppose i can give summaries tho!

in terms of vibes velvet is very much like, "guy who is brooding so hard that it stops being mysterious or having any gravity at all and is mostly just making people wonder if she's like? okay?????" like there is only so long you can spend with your back to the rest of the group clenching your fist and muttering to yourself before people just start kind of glossing over it and being like "oh haha that's CLASSIC sir velvet the unsmiling!!!"... mix this with a heady dose of "[nasal voice] UM, you forgot to collect the homework" and somehow you have created a creature ideal for wrangling cookie's effusive elaborate scatterbrained whims, somehow, most of the time. velvet is really similar to a different Brooding Goth Knight character i have wherein my formula is "make a character who looks extremely fucking sicknasty badass, then never ever ever stop making fun of them ever"

dandy is cookie's quartermaster, and so unlike velvet (who's usually assumed to be traveling around with cookie, even if i am constantly forgetting to roleplay that it's doing that) he mostly chills at chateau gorgeous looking after his liege's affairs and making sure the ppl who live there are fed + sheltered + generally taken care of. they are pretty much velvet's exact opposite in terms of temperament; EVERYTHING gets velvet's hackles up, NOTHING phases dandy. i need to be careful bc i am starting to arbitrarily ship them just from typing this. anyway, dandy is largely non-verbal; they're able to speak if really necessary, but they would just rather not, and if there's really no way around it they'd rather just sidle over to cookie and whisper it to her, and then let her communicate whatever they want to say to the rest of the group on their behalf; if cookie's not around, you're just gonna have to figure out how to communicate w him otherwise. which always works out fine bc dandy is very patient and used to getting along in silence!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

[ Oh man this post got long (and surprisingly serious) fjfjfjffjjf I wrote this 2 days ahead of time because I was so excited about it ahahaha --- I'm wishing you all a wonderful 2024!!!!!

2023 was a year of surprising development for me. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older, or if I'm simply moving into a different mindset. I loved this year! It was awesome, and I'm so happy to see that I've written MORE for Nnoitra this year than I did in 2022 ( even though my overall word-count went down from 290 000 to 280 000 ). I can't say I completed many of my goals ( or any of them LOL ). I had lots of goals for 2023, but I was unable to complete them. The past few months, especially, have brought forth big changes in my creative flow and focus.

I've realized that I need to change my priorities, to better fit my new mindset.

Roleplaying is no longer going to be my main focus. In the past, whenever I've wanted to write, I've always focused on finishing drafts, asks ect. I've mostly written on here, since that's what I prefer. Or, rather - what I used to prefer. This is not to say I don't have muse for Nnoitra, because I always feel inspired for him. What's changed are my priorities. I've come to the conclusion that what's important to me is creating stories. Since Nnoitra's story ( main verse ) has become so stagnant, it feels less important to me. I know I can drive the story on, push it forward and thus find it important once more, but - I don't want to do that. I want to create my own, original stories instead. Becoming a professional writer has always been my dream, and that's simply not possible to do when I'm prioritizing rping. Roleplaying is going to have to take the backseat.

--- That being said, I'm absolutely not quitting! I can't imagine myself not writing for Nnoitra, so I'll be writing on here like before, and I'll even try to be more consistent. An enemy of mine in 2023 has been procrastination. One of my goals for 2024 is to conquer this, so that I can be more efficient with my time. I think that by dedicating less time to roleplay, I'll be more efficient when I do sit down and write for my muses. My activity the past few months have been spotty, so I'd love to get into a better flow.

2024 GOALS:

FOCUS ON PERSONAL PROJECTS. I have a lot of them. Two (three?) book projects, two long OC-centered fanfictions.

WRITE FANDOM PROJECTS. I have a lot of ideas for fanfictions, and I want to make the time to write them. Some are long, some are short. Getting feedback on my stories has always been a great feeling, and fanfiction is the best way to get that serotonin.

CHANGE MY WRITING HABITS. My habits are bad. They lead to a ton of procrastination and wasted time. I want to be more structured when it comes to my writing time (and my time in general, but especially my writing time). I want to stick to schedules, word-count goals, page goals ect. Conquering procrastination is going to be key.

CONSISTENT RP POSTING. Even though I won't be focusing on roleplaying, I still intend to do it regularly and get replies and asks out in a more timely manner. I'll probably set off some time in the evening to get replies done, and have some fun on the dash when others are online. I'll try to be consistent across my blogs, not just on Nnoitra.

CREATE THINGS THAT ARE PHYSICAL. I've come to realize that I love things that translate to the real world. Not just words on a screen, or a digital artwork, but things that you can touch. It's why I've absolutely fallen in love with watercolor painting. I'm going to try to print some of my writing work so that I have physical copies. I'm also going to print my art so that I can hold it in real life.

FIND A SHIP FOR NNOITRA. It's been so long since I wrote a ship for him, and I need it back in my life. I've been looking for a ship for him the whole time, but I need to put more effort in, and let him interact with more characters, as well as continue to develop the relationships he does have ( in case one of them turns romantic? ). I'd love for 2024 to be the year Nnoitra falls in love again.

I am SUPER excited for 2024! I love new years and fresh starts, and I feel so incredibly inspired by the changes in my mindset. I feel like I've been stuck for a good while with rping. Don't get me wrong, I've loved every second of it, and I've learnt so much about writing - and met the most amazing people. It's just that it's time for a change. Time for me to create other kinds of stories. I thought that things were aligned for me to write books last year, but I really didn't have the right mindset - but now I do! I'm hyped!! Looking for a roleplay partner

I decided to try and do a new one because I guess the last one didn’t work. Unless the roleplaying community is slowly dying. 

My name is Blue, I’m 26 yrs old. I’ve been roleplaying since I was in high school so it’s almost 10 yrs. I’m looking for a long term roleplaying partner. 

Fandoms I roleplay: Undertale, Durarara, Gravity Falls, Reverse Falls, Persona 3-5 (including spin offs), D.gray-man, FNAF, South Park, The Owl House, Doctor Who, Welcome Home, and many more, this were some of the ones I remember at the moment of writing this. I also have ocs, if you don’t want a canon fandom.

Here are some ground rules:

English isn’t my first language, it’s Spanish.

My replies will vary on the mood I'm in if my muse is high I will give long replies but if my muse is high I will give from one-liners to a paragraph at least. 

I tend to reply as quick as possible, unless I’m taking a course or taking nursing classes. Otherwise in ten minutes you have a reply from me. So I’m expecting you do the same (it’s understandable if you are busy, at work,  you don’t have muse at the moment, etc.)

I’m not very picky when it comes to ships I ship from mxf, fxf, mxm, etc. 

I love rping about most anything from fluff to angst. 

When it comes to NSFW content, I don’t do it as much because I really don’t know what to type or don’t know the terminology for said things, also if it gets tooo explicit I will drop or time skip, because it makes me uncomfortable.

Reflection I don't quite remember when I started RPing, but I know I started on devART yearsssss ago, cringe ass days (only cause wow my writing sucked LOL). At some point I ended up migrating to tumblr in the 2012 ... 2013? Era??? And I've been here ever since LOL.

Do you have any writing routines? uhhh massive hiatus??/ LOL no but on serious note it usually is just inspiration striking or making time for it; if I end up making time for it, I tend to play brown noise in the BG while I write (or rain sounds) so i can focus. if i get lost in the sauce i just kinda. Do it.

What's your favorite part about writing? Character development!!!!!! My primary OCs I've had over the years have developed primarily through tumblr/writing/rp partners; Sylvie is one example, then my previous booboo which was Hideki, then my Bleach OC I brought over when I came onto tumblr

Three things you like about your writing:

I second Ash on dialogue cause Sylvie is fucking chatty as hell, so a lot of the personality comes out through how they talk + secondary gestures

I like my voice!! I usually try to write how I think + speak, and I like how it comes out in my writing

Um, I can't say I have any characters I've disliked in particular...? At least not for Genshin, for Bleach I can definitely say ... I didn't dislike anyone there in particular (not counting minor characters that just left weird tastes in my mouth), but I've warmed up a lot to some characters due to writers there.

Especially since a lot of them put a lot of love and thought into their portrayals; Kaname Tousen has a special place in my heart due to a writer in the Bleach RPC that passed years ago due to health circumstances. I didn't dislike Tousen in any way tbf, but she wrote him (alongside the Starrk she had a ship with) in such a way with heart and love that I grew to love him and ache for him.

Same case with Childe—I never disliked him don't get me wrong, I thought he was cool as heck from the beginning, but it's the RPC writers that I associate with him that make me point and remember the portrayals I've seen; I often warm up to characters due to the writers.

My question for you: Is there something you'd like to tell to your past self when you first started writing / getting into roleplaying?

I admit I'm not a person of rules, but in the RP community for bad or for good it's needed so here I go:

1. No God mode, no fighting power RP's, blah blah, ya know the drill...

2. Smut will come with how captivated our characters get to one another. Chemistry and all.

3. Multiship. No, I won't accommodate or stay loyal. Forget it.

4. I'm a person of descriptions and paragraphs. You don't have to match this energy but you must give me something to work with.

5. No special requests, nothing of the sort. I'm here looking for someone to write with not to write for.

6. Conversation about limits before any NSFW or Dead Dove stuff.

Some plotting. I try to "jump" in or "wing it" but it can be difficult at times. Because why would my character want to be with yours? Especially if it's supposed to be a mutual and romantic ship? Now I won't deny some shipping I've done I have jumped into it. But even in those I feel there's already some level of connection. Either in game/story or otherwise.

Um... I do try to be ship more or else so please no one feels obligated to write ships with me! While I may have heavy bias towards some, and against others, I'm just here to have a good time like everyone else. My fun simply feels more flexible than the rest of the community.

31. do you have a favorite memory when it comes to rping a ship?

I'll go into read more for this one. As it's a touch more personal.

For reasons I rather not disclose, I hated tender.shipping (Ryou Bakura x Yami Bakura from ygo) for a very, very long time. I stopped writing because of it. And when I came back, it felt like I couldn't connect with people because I didn't ship it.

But @ahhvernin was very kind to me despite me being so mean at times and downright dick-ish. Eventually she wrote as a sort of spin off to Yami Bakura and because of her patience, willingness to listen and go at my pace, I was able to love the ship again.

And in doing so, I found myself getting over this hatred. It sounds silly I know, but that ship hit close to home for me for many, many reasons. While some issues related to it will never be resolved, Vern's patience and care made me appreciate the ship again. And helped me get over some parts of myself I thought would never heal.

I don't know if this is a trend or not but I do like that people don't mind if your length in your replies doesn't competely match theirs when you're RPing.

Sometimes I can write something that matches the situation and advances the RP but it's two paragraphs instead of three and I don't need to put pressure on myself to match the exact amount, if that makes sense.

What I dislike is the actual font being difficult to read either in RPs or on people's pages, I know it's supposed to look nice but being able to actually read the text is better than how it looks. Luckily that's not a thing I had to deal with yet.

To be honest I am fairly new to the DC (and comic book in general) fandom on this site so I'm not sure which ships with Riddler are the most rare. I assume that the ones I can't find art for are, like Eddie's romantic relationship with @cxpperhead for example.

I have to be honest it's really cool that I can actually find ship art for some of the ships I have on here, like Eddie and Harv/Two-Face.

You can call me Bibis, I’m 26 years old and roleplaying has been one of my hobbies for over ten years, I’ve been a part of the Bleach fandom for about that same amount of time too. However, I still haven’t finished reading the manga (I’m always working and when I finally have some free time I have no energy to do anything guys, help). But I’ll eventually finish it, I swear… Or I’ll at least watch the anime bc I’m super hyped about this revival. ANYWAYS, yes, this is just a heads up that I do know some things about the last arc of the manga but not everything. Shipping can be super fun, but only if there is chemistry. So there has to be a lot of plotting and our characters need to interact a few times for me to consider shipping them!! Instant shipping / pre-established romantic relationships are not really my cup of tea. I won’t write romantic ships with minors, btw, please don’t insist. 

My main verse is set when Ichigo is around 18 years old and finishing up high school!! This is going to be a bit of a long ramble so I ask you bare with me. But I have a lot I want to say re: FFXIV as a whole and I think Tumblr is the best place to say it.

Long thoughts below break!

I've been on and off with FFXIV since 1.0. I returned for good early SB and have been playing everyday pretty much since. This game, the characters, the people I've met all hold such a special place in my heart.

Is the story perfect? No, of course not, there is no such thing as perfection. But it's damn good and it's damn enjoyable. From ARR all the way to EW, the story is strong and stays strong, sure there are issues here and there, retcons, some flow issues between the different writers- but, what's great about this game is that you can essentially make your own story out of what's given to you.

You can take the pieces and add on, grow or change it. The freedom and creativity I've gotten from this is...its insane really. And it warms my heart. For the first time in years I've been creative.

I've been writing, rping, trying to draw, learning new things (how to make mods for example) and I've actively been writing fan fictions. It's been amazing to feel creative again. From gpose to making crimes, I've been feeling free.

Yee, this game comes with its fair share of drama with FCs, friends, people in game- but that's all to kinda be expected given how big it is- but even with the bullshit there are so many amazing people who are beyond fantastic and sweet.

I'm always so overjoyed when someone says they like my ship or Eramus' family, that they like Eramus. It honestly makes me so happy when people say that.

The friends I've made (even the ones I've lost) have all been such amazing, beautiful and creative people. And even though drama tore us apart, or an FC was being toxic, you are still beautiful, amazing, creative people regardless of what happened to us.

I will always cherish those I've met, those I knew, and those I have yet to meet.

You are all beautiful people. All of you.

do not come at me for playing with multiple of the same canons/face claims. i believe that every interpretation of a canon muse is different and valid, and i do not treat them as interchangeable with another muse. i cannot control for what face claims are used for muses whose lore i find interesting, either. i can promise you that i appreciate you and your muse and you are NOT replaceable to me. simply put, i do not limit myself to interacting with x number of canons/face claims because i want to give everyone whose lore is interesting to me a chance.

pleasepleaseplease don't control my characters. 'godmodding' has been the bane of my existence since middle school. I do what I can to make sure our interactions (especially violent ones) are even while still being in character. I have noticed, though, that some of my characters are awfully inclined to back down if conversation swings towards violence. I'm not afraid to rp fights, but I ask that we plot how it will end beforehand, so I can know what direction to head for.

I like to start character interactions with first meetings. It gives us the chance to get to know each other while our characters do.

Crossovers: Mostly good with them! Other characters in far cry is great. Depending on the fandom I might be willing to build an AU to interact. idk, hasn't come up yet! I will say, though, that my anime phase ended before high school. I've got nothing against it, I just don't like it myself anymore. I probably won't interact with anime characters, oc or canon.

I match length (and often, more) but I don't expect others to. Life is busy, you can't always write out a long reply. As long as your response as some kind of action or sentence to be responded to, don't worry about it!

Questions, quick asks, one-liners and such are always open! I prefer longer interactions, but these can be really fun too!
