COUNTDOWN: NEW YEAR’S INVASION, ATTACK OF THE LAZER RAYZ BY INSOMNIAC EVENTS

Get ready to countdown the New Year with a great lineup of music, celebration, immersive environments and…aliens! Music enthusiasts and festival goers won’t have to wait long, this music event is coming up fast! For those of you who have not decided yet to attend, get your tickets now! Hosted by Insomniac Events, you can expect at electrifying event. If any of the past Countdown events is a measure of what is to come, you can anticipate a memorable weekend of fun and festivities in the World of Countdown.

In this New Year’s Invasion, aliens have returned to Raveland! This two-day event will transcend boundaries of regular festivals and promise of alien mischief as officials have issued public warnings of an alien attack planned against the human inhabitants of Raveland at midnight.  This event, known for its stellar musical lineup, cutting edge production, and vibrant atmosphere is expected to draw crowds far and wide.  The world of Countdown awaits.

Key Highlights of Countdown 2023: 1. Immersive Environments: Multiple universes coexist in the world of Countdown, each with is own array of sights and sounds. Let’s take a look at the 5 stages at Countdown:

The Mothership: Take a ride on this colossal craft as we traverse the wide, infinite reaches of outer space.

The Nebula: A bright light shines through the mist, emanating from a distant galaxy, illuminating celestial bodies in its sphere.

Area 51: Enter the top-secret testing grounds of Bassrush, a highly classified space for low-end activity and subterranean vibrations.

Twilight Zone: Cross over into another dimension of sound, sight, and mind, and explore the outer limits of house music.

Galactic Gate 2. Stellar Line-up: One of the hallmarks of Insomniac Events is the ability to assemble a diverse and stellar lineup of artists. Countdown 2023 has a roster of top-tiered artist spanning various genres, including electronic dance music, house music and more. Expect a sonic journey during this two-day affair. Some of the acts featured for the first night on Saturday, Dec 30. are 4B X JST JR, Adam Beyer, Alison Wonderland, ALRT, Beastboi., BEC and Benda. More star-studded acts to follow the next day on Sunday, Dec. 31 are Airglo, Apashe, Audien, Black V Neck, Borgore, The Chainsmokers and Deadmaus, to name a few.  Expect a diverse musical palate as you traverse the worlds of Countdown.

3. State of the Art Production: Insomniac Events is known for its ground breaking stage design and visual effects that will blow your mind away. We anticipate nothing less for Countdown 2023. We look forward to seeing The Mothership stage converge music and technology for an otherworldly experience. Memorable performances from artists such as Ace Aura, Armnhmr, Bloodsport, Burko, Dabin, Ahee, Alyxander, Atliens, Blossom, Canabliss and Capozzi set the stage for an unforgettable night.

Mesmerizing Visuals: The production quality of Countdown 2022 reached new heights, with amazing visuals and stage designs that captivated the audiences. With the lights, lasers and special effects complementing the pulsating beats of music, all the senses were engaged in perfect symphony.

Countdown Throughout the Years: A Trip Down Memory Lane

Let’s revisit some important events that mark the evolution of Countdown by Insomniac Events.

Countdown 2019: This year’s highlight was the introduction of innovative stage designs and art installations as a turning point in the evolution of what makes Countdown so impressive today. The event solidified its reputation as a trendsetter in the electronic music festival scene.

Countdown 2017: This year the event changed to a two-day format that was welcomed by attendees. This allowed for extended festivities and include more diverse musical acts to join the world of Countdown.

Countdown 2015: Insomniac Events introduced Countdown as a New Year’s Eve celebration, brining its signature flair to the year-end festivities. The inaugural event set the bar high for music festivals as attendees continue to participate in this new tradition of Countdown.

2023 has been a year of firsts for the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour, fresh off their first nationwide Latin tour with rising Trap/Reggaeton sensation, Mariah Angeliq, today they've announced the debut of Monster Energy Outbreak Tour: AMPLIFIED, an extension of the popular, genre-spanning tour series.

'AMPLIFIED' will feature 3 bonafide dance music headliners - GHASTLY , BOOGIE T.RIO x Manic Focus, and LEVEL UP as part of a singular EDM tour series which will give fans the opportunity to win amplified experiences - ranging from VIP passes to watch the show side stage and pre-show soundcheck access to personal meet & greets with individual photos, autographed merchandise, and more!  

Multi-genre artist GHASTLY, known for his continuously evolving musical sound and discography that spans a multitude of genres, burst onto the scene as a solo artist when he produced the high-profile collaboration with Lil Jon and Mija, titled “Crank It,” on Skrillex’s world-famous record label, OWSLA. In 2022, GHASTLY released his highly anticipated sophomore album, Haunted Haus which showcased his unique take on both house and future bass, and debuted in the top 5 Dance albums on Apple Music with smash hits including “Smoke” with Madalen Duke and “Fangs” with ALRT. 

BOOGIE T. RIO is a live band that consists of Boogie T on vocals/guitar/keys, longtime musical cohort Frank 'Animal Drums' Castro on drums, and New Orleans-based musical virtuoso Andriu ‘Yano’ Yanovski on keyboard and synth bass. Lead vocalist Boogie T has risen to prominence in the bass music world as a producer and a touring DJ, performing at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Coachella, EDC, Electric Forest, and many more. BOOGIE T. RIO is the next phase in the evolution of Boogie T, with the band dropping their debut “Three For All” EP and first live performances in Summer 2018, followed by their “3Fall EP”, and subsequent 50+ city national tour in 2020.

The Manic Focus Band is the live instrument fusion of electronic music by John “JmaC” McCarten, a Denver-based producer with roots in funk, soul, and new-era hip-hop. A multi-dimensional artist with a rowdy style that spans across genres, Manic Focus fuses soulful blues with heavy-hitting bass, creating a tone that’s entirely his own. The Band include instrumentalist and producer Marvel Years on guitar joined with the legendary percussion of Colby Buckler (Marvel Years Trio, Emancipator Ensemble). JmaC and Manic Focus have had some incredible live performances at some of the most popular festivals and venues including Lollapalooza, Hulaween, North Coast Music Festival, Electric Forest, Bonnaroo, The Gorge Amphitheater in WA and numerous Red Rocks performances supporting Zhu, Emancipator, Pretty Lights and more.

Originally a battle DJ studying under the legendary Rob Swift, LEVEL UP later dove into music production after discovering dubstep. Since then, she has established herself as an artist at the crossroads of blending heavy and future bass, with her own flips of classic dance and emo anthems. Her live performances have captivated audiences at legendary venues such as Red Rocks, Lollapalooza, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Bonnaroo, Lost Lands, Beyond Wonderland, Electric Forest, and Bass Canyon, to name a few.

Since launching in 2011, Monster Energy’s Outbreak Tour has been shaping music culture and breaking new artists, while being involved with many of today’s biggest names in music across Hip Hop, EDM, Country, Rock, Latin, and Comedy.

Zeds Dead Unveil Deluxe Edition of "We Are Deadbeats (Vol. 4)"

The compilation contains remixes from Sippy, Eprom, Blanke, and more.

In January, Zeds Deadreleased We Are Deadbeats (Vol. 4), a massive compilation of collaborations that included tracks with Subtronics, Jauz, Ganja White Night, Delta Heavy, and more. Today, they've returned with the deluxe edition, which is filled with remixes and a handful of new tunes. 

We Are Deadbeats (Vol. 4/Deluxe) is a phenomenal portrayal of their Deadbeats imprint. Much like Zeds Dead's own discography, the compilation is incredibly diverse with tracks that ill appeal to dance music listeners in almost any corner. The Canadian duo's personal taste also shines here, as they've chosen a number of extremely talented producers to put an original spin on their collaborative works, such as Sippy, Blanke, Pax Impera, and ALRT, among others. 

One of the most captivating remixes is um..'s rendition of "Asteroid." Removing the cinematic elements from the original intro, the duo crafted an unpredictable, minimalistic mind-bender. "Save My Grave" also received a relaxing rework by bad tuner, who stripped the track down to simple percussive elements and smooth synths to accompany GG Magree's soothing vocals. 

While only four tracks on this compilation are Zeds Dead originals, they don't fail to impress. Listeners have likely already heard their collaboration with Rezz, "Into the Abyss." However, they'll certainly be surprised by the hypnotic psytrance slammer they cooked up with YULTRON, "Taken." Longtime fans itching for their dubstep fix will gravitate towards the heavy-hitter with YOOKiE, "RUFF," while "Reason" with Floret Loret is a much floatier tune that leans towards the more chill side of the compilation.
