—Yeah, but it’s not just any club, is it? It’s Venice. It’s romantic as fuck. And look at them… he’s all over her.— Max scrolled down, showing another video where Rodrigo leaned in, saying something into Amelie’s ear that made her throw her head back laughing.

Lando scoffed, but it came out weaker than he intended. —Mate, there’s no way she’d go for him.—

—Why not?— Max asked, grinning. —He’s famous, good-looking, probably knows how to use his feet in more ways than one... What’s not to like?—

—Because he’s...— Lando gestured vaguely, grasping for the right words. —He’s a fucking footballer.—

Max gave him a look. —So?—

—So, she’s not into that.— Lando waved a hand dismissively. —She’s never been into athletes. Except… well.—

He caught himself. Max caught it too.

—Except for you,— Max finished, smirking.

Lando rolled his eyes, grabbing a pillow and chucking it at him. Max dodged it easily, laughing.

—You’re acting like this is some kind of joke. It’s just dumb media speculation.— Lando leaned back against the couch, arms crossed. —Amelie wouldn’t date a guy like him.—

Max waggled his brows. —What, a professional, successful, nice guy?—

Lando glared. —A footballer.—

Max snorted. —Right. Because footballers are sooo much worse than F1 drivers.—

Lando ignored him, grabbing his phone and scrolling through the comments under the posts. A mix of reactions. Fans freaking out, others shipping them, some skeptics saying it was just a dance. Then there were the F1 fans—his fans—who still clung to the idea of Lando and Amelie as if it were some sort of long-lost fairytale.

"There’s no way, she was in love with Lando.""She can’t seriously go from him to a footballer.""Lando’s probably punching the air right now lmao."

Lando rolled his eyes and locked his phone. He was not punching the air.

He didn’t care.

Did he?

—Dude, you’re weirdly quiet,— Max noted, watching him with amusement. —You sure you don’t care? Because you’re making that face.—

—What face?— Lando shot back.

—The I’m pretending I don’t give a shit but I absolutely do face.—

Lando scoffed. —I do not have that face.—

—Mate, it’s literally your face.—

Lando exhaled sharply, shaking his head. He refused to let Max get in his head about this. Amelie could do whatever she wanted. She was Amelie—stubborn, independent, never letting anyone tell her what to do. It wasn’t like he had a say in her life anymore.

Still… Rodrigo fucking Riquelme?

—Maybe it’s just PR,— Lando muttered.

Max raised an eyebrow. —What, like her team called up Barcelona and went, ‘Oi, lend us one of your lads so Amelie looks cool’?—

—I don’t know, mate, but it’s ridiculous.— Lando huffed. —She’s not gonna date some random footballer just because she danced with him once.—

Max leaned back, arms behind his head. —You sound pretty confident about that.—

—Because I am confident about that.—

—Okay.— Max nodded. —Then you won’t mind if it turns out she actually is dating him.—

Lando scoffed. As if. There was no chance. Not because he still cared—because he didn’t—but because he knew Amelie.

—Whatever, mate.— Lando stood up, stretching. —This is a waste of time. Let’s go do something useful.—

“Hold up. I thought we'd visit Tabitha.” Miami Detective Marcus Burnett questions his partner Mike Lowrey when plans change on the run.

“Uh-huh. I know someone better.” Mike shook his head.

“Who?” Even criminal Armando Aretas glanced toward his biological father with curiosity.

“Nobody knows her real name, but this woman moves all over for different reasons.” Mike cleared his throat while explaining. “Special Ops, hacking, undercover shit. You name the plot and she's probably done it.”

“How do you know she's legit?” Armando's interest piqued.

“You'll see. Let's go.” Mike stepped out of this truck when Aretas parked near one of the last places.

“I'm looking for a woman, she works here.” Mike lowered his voice while standing near others. Their true location still moved past this late-night spot.

“Are you sure about that?” One bartender squinted toward Mike and Marcus.

“Got cash in my pocket. Tell me the location if you don't trust them.” Despite looking out of place wearing this Bud Light shirt and trucker hat, Armando spoke up. Jeans covered both legs and scuffed boots walked along.

“Hell yeah. She's down in the cellar, man. Last door.” That bartender accepted wrinkled bills and slid one shot on the house.

Armando drowned this beverage in five seconds, tapping down the glass.

“Thanks.” Armando nodded, jutting his chin before stepping away.

“No problem.” The bartender kept working, observant while Mike and Marcus looked flabbergasted.

“Did you just bribe that motherfucker?” Mike screwed up his face, bewildered toward Armando.

“No more rules. C'mon.” Armando stopped himself from laughing.

“That's your son.” Marcus chuckled as Mike rolled both eyes.

“We've been shot at and harassed for days. Stop laughing.” Marcus squinted.

Even Armando nearly grinned, but Mike watched him through silence.

“We need different clothes, a new ride, and some phones.” Mike is absolutely serious.

“Yeah. Guns, too.” Aretas slyly leaned over and turned up the volume for your music system.

“What the hell are you doing?” Mike faced Armando once more.

Ignoring Lowrey again, Armando sits down in this empty chair and questions you.

“Who's James McGrath?” Aretas started.

“Army Ranger who ended up being tortured by the cartel. He's only joined a faction to gain power.” You highlight details. “Now you know.”

Musical Themes in Nimona: Ballister's Introduction

So Im a bit if a music nerd, and as I’ve been rewatching Nimona and listening to the score (Which is now available and you should totally TOTALLY listen to it if youre into intrumental music, it is FIRE) and I love trying to catch little leitmotifs in the music and learn how the music is telling the story. While listening to the score I caught something that really made my heart happy so I’m gonna share!!

🚨⚠️Long Post Alert⚠️🚨

Since Tumblr is a SQUARE and doesn’t allow multiple videos in a post, I'm gonna compile all of my clips to a single video and number the clips so you can hear what I'm talking about as I explain

Okay here we go!

1. Ballister’s Theme: This little melody is meant to represent Ballister in the music, particularly when something important happens in Ballister’s arc. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear it throughout the score. 

I wrote it out as sheet music just so its easier to notice how its being used. Ballister’s theme is in C# Major

2. Ballister's Theme in "The Night to Knight": This piece is played at the very beginning of the movie when the news reporters are giving us, (the audience) the rundown of whats happening. If you listen carefully, you’ll hear Ballister’s theme play when the reporters start talking about Ballister, its just in a different key. (I mixed the music louder in this example cause in the actual movie the music is much MUCH softer and that's how I missed it the first time)

I wrote it out as sheet music too. The note progression has the same intervals between each note as the original Ballister’s theme, just in G major instead of C# Major.

I just thought it was supes interesting how the music introduces us, the audience, to Ballister before we meet the guy :) And that sweet sexy brass and strings section playing his theme very heroically and triumphantly indicates that, again, before we have even met Ballister, that he's going to be a major character. The movie wastes no time in telling us who Ballister is and his importance to the story both literally (the news reporters talking about him) and musically (in the score). Which is a good thing since the movie is called "Nimona" and the only character you can expect is Nimona.

(^Obviously if you read the comic before watching the movie you knew that. But for those of us who didn't read the comic beforehand, this was a pretty bangin introduction to Ballister)

If you just listen to the score, even without knowing what the story is about, you can sorta put together whats happening based on the musical themes. I listened to Ballister's Theme first (cause I was excited. I love character themes) and then after I listened to The Night to Knight, and I was able to figure out when the reporters started talking about Ballister in the scene based on this alone.

Anyway that's all for now

I am working on a much longer in depth analysis of the musical themes in Nimona, specifically about analyzing Nimona's and Gloreth's theme and how its used in the score. So stay tuned if you're into that sort of thing! :)

They both took a little break to raise the baby, who I believe I named Lila Rose? ( I tried finding the original post but couldn’t) She is a real mix of the both of you. She’s bubbly and active and loooooooves sports which throws you and Eddie for a loop bc neither of you are athletically inclined. You think it’s her grandpas influence bc she would watch baseball with him when he came to help when she was first born. He would prop her up on him while they both sat in his chair and watched the games. She also LOVES her big sister and her big sister LOVES her. She wants to be just like her.

Speaking of Violet Rose, she is much much better. She got into modelling just like her biological mother. VR reached out and wanted to know more about that side of the family. They have a cordial relationship but Poppy will forever be her mom. 🥺 She’s also an LGBTQ + icon and She’s dating a girlypop named Brina and is in looooooooove. They will probably get married.

But back to the main characters. Eddie is still so obsessed with Angel. Especially during pregnancy (talk about breeding kink he didn’t know he had) he LOVED watching you grow the baby. He didn’t let you do anything and you kind got annoyed with him bc damn. Eventually he lightened up and let you do things but also you used it slightly to your advantage. Especially the foot rubs.

Once you had little Lila Rose he fell even more in love with you. Watching you become a mom?! talk about boner alert. 🚨🚨🚨

You and Eddie also have worked on a bunch of music together. Not a collaboration bc your music styles are waaaaaaaaay too different but you are each others muses so the BOPS you produce are 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Corroded Coffin got a Vegas residency for a few months so you and him and your toddler move (VR is living on her own at this point) and it’s fun but you eventually got back to LA in the new house you and Eddie bought together. It’s your favourite place to be.

Eddie also bought a new house in Italy that isn’t tainted. It’s in a completely different city but on the coast and Lila Rose loves the private jet, she’s such a diva about it but it’s too cute bc she’s only 2.

Hey, y'all! I'm Weston, but you can call me Wes. I'm a very old trans guy from the East Coast that's been gaming forever. I got into The Sims franchise in 2006 and have fond memories of loading up TS2 on my bulky Windows XP desktop after school and getting thoroughly creeped out by the burglar music and being fully invested in the Olive Specter lore. While I've played the game for a long time and have followed other Simblrs/Youtubers/etc. I wasn't inspired to upload my own content until 2020. Since then, I've tried (and failed lol) to build a following, but I'm hoping the fifth third time's a charm! You'll find builds (mostly shells), CAS challenges/downloads, and savefile progress (I'll talk more about Deathmoure, soon!) posted here.
