Expect a lot of changes for the new Lunar Month, as if the changes that came recently weren't enough. There will be even more weird but also amazing changing coming your way, and Spirit is letting you know in advance so you won't get too-shocked about it. But in case you didn't get the full and detailed memo, just remember that changes usher in a lot of movement, of motion, of upgrades (if you want to see them that way). Changes are normally hard unless you have been prepping up or if the changes are clearly favoring you or your situation, most of the time they do not. At any rate, do not fear these changes, because despite the rattling these also allow the influx of energies, so you'll probably have more energy at work, or you'll receive timely increase in funds, or people will help you with a lot of stuff out of the blue, or you'll suddenly get a strong urge to be creative, any kind of assistance that will come through from Source. But as with all flowing energies, be especially careful to remain grounded, be humble, be detached from the outcome, let all things that you have zero control over to wash over you like raindrops on your umbrella. Otherwise, the lessons that you were meant to learn through this energy influx can cause you to be light-headed, out of touch with other people, or worse, hungry or lusting for even more power.

Aside from the influx of Divine energies, Spirit also wants you to be mindful of your own personal energies. If you can (because this is of utmost importance) please try to focus your attention or energies to only ONE THING AT A TIME. This kept coming up, and for this entire Lunar month this should also be a priority. Do not spread yourself out thin, or else you won't be able to deliver out your full potential or give out the best possible outcome for any and every situation. You can start with just enjoying the now moment: eating your meal with just putting your focus on the food and drink, the texture, taste, how sweet or salty these would be, the crunch or lack of crunch, if the drink suits the food pretty well, and if this was a Yelp review how many stars would it have. Something like that. Or if you're in a company, unless you didn't really wanna be there, just enjoy the place, the food, or try connecting with one person at a time. Just don't think excessively or obsessively about what you're going to do at work tomorrow morning, or what you did last Saturday night that you were still regretting up to this day. Seriously, once you go back in the past or forward to the uncertain future you're already missing the moment you have right now. You could overlook things, or not appreciate what you have right now because you're either looking at the past that you left behind or focusing too much on the future that hasn't been set in stone yet, or ever. Just be in the moment, feel your body move with every breath, be creative in how you's just wanna BE for a moment, like a plant that sways softly with the flow of the breeze.

Indeed, Spirit wants you to grow, to evolve, but also to enjoy life, to stop and smell the flowers, to be kind for no other reason than being the embodiment of kindness, to just BE. Because you're a human BE-ing, not just a human DO-ing. Don't let life pass you by in a flash. Instead, how about being that grandma or grandpa who has so much life experience that you can never run out of weird or amazing stories to tell your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, or even your fellow old people at the hospice. Just enjoy life in all it's gore and glory, the highs and the lows, the smart and dumb things you did, for these are the times and moments that help you grow into an even better person than before, and will probably make you think in your deathbed that your life was really worth living.

The Path of Least Resistance:

For this Lunar month, Spirit advises to reconnect with your community, or the group that you feel strongly for. Or if you don't have one yet, find your community. Share a part of yourself, and allow others to do the same for you. Recognize the individuality of each member, as you all celebrate what ties you all together. This is also a good time to learn or recognize your life lessons, apply them and help people grow with your own personal growth. Also, find your niche in this community, like what you can contribute to fill in the gaps, or help the group improve. Lastly, remember, do not think excessively about what the community can do for you, but rather what you can contribute to it, for this is the true essence of abundance.

September Forecast for Aquarius

Resist the back-to-school rush, Aquarius. This month finds you feeling more private and internal as the Sun grooves through Virgo and your intimate eighth house until September 23. Your energy is best focused on one particular person or project since Virgo season sharpens your powers of concentration. Of course, your naturally social personality doesn’t exactly operate like this. Adopt a “quality over quantity” metric and choose your RSVPs accordingly. You don’t have to be at every industry cocktail party or welcome-to-fall gathering—especially when the real “pumpkin spice” is likely to happen behind closed doors!

The eighth house rules all manner of merging, from soul-searing sex to joint financial ventures—unions that create a force field of power through your shared energies. Whether you reach “supercouple” status (think: Will and Jada, Barack and Michelle) or team up for world domination (like the “Steves” of Apple, Woz and Jobs), those are #goals for Virgo time. And they’re supercharged now because heat-seeking Mars, the planet of drive and ambition, is also in Virgo from August 18 to October 3.

Mars only visits each sign every two years, and this biannual boon could find you eager—even racing frantically—into a permanent engagement. Before you plunk your life savings into a piece of property or a cryptocurrency coin…or rush to City Hall with “the One” after dating for six months…know that the Sun and Mars together can tempt you to jump the gun.

The catch? A conflicting beam from nebulous Neptune in your money house may have left you short on funds or dealing with unclear budgets, timelines and practical details. Either way, you’ll be glad you got yourself grounded and streamlined because on September 18, structured Saturn wakes up from a four-month retrograde nap in Capricorn and your twelfth house of closure and healing. Saturn’s been making a long tour of Capricorn from December 2017 until March 2020 (with a final lap coming July through December 2020). You’ve done a lot of important inner work during this time, Aquarius—and you’ve probably gone deeper into emotional, spiritual and vulnerable places than ever before. Whew!

While there may have been some painful moments, you can also take stock of the resilience you’ve gained! Is there someone you still have yet to forgive, a resentment that’s poisoning you by carrying it around. Saturn helps you do the brave work. With Mars blazing through earthily sensual Virgo and your erotic eighth house all month (until October 3), your seductive and sizzling superpowers are cranked up full blast. The red-hot planet hasn’t visited this chart sector for two years, and some Aquarians are making up for lost time! And with the other love planet, Venus, along for the ride until September 14, it really is a wonder you’re getting anything (else) done at all.

That’s not to say it’s been all fun and (naughty) games. Mars ratchets up passion but also increases competition, jealousy, tension and paranoia. As we start July, we wrap up the third and final Eclipse of the Season and of the Cancer/Capricorn cycle we have been working with since 2018.

As we move through the month, things may feel like they are settling down and the energy may shift to a calmer place. However, behind the scenes things are being planted for the next chapter of 2020, one that kickstarts come September.

As we enter September and navigate through the final months of the year, we have a very fiery and combative Mars Retrograde, and if you can believe it, more Eclipses as we enter November.

2020 was always destined to be a big and transformative year, so rather than fighting against all of this, learning to embrace it, going with the flow, and surrendering to the journey of your life will make things a little less stressful.

July is one of the months of the year, along with August, where we will get an opportunity to recharge.

It brings the incredible Sirius Gateway, that will beam high-frequency energy into our bodies and souls.

It also brings some detox energy, and while a bit of purging will be required, we will feel the benefits and lightness that comes when we let the toxic stuff go.

July 1st: Saturn Re-Enters Capricorn

Saturn left Capricorn for Aquarius back on March 21st, but seeing as Saturn is retrograde and traveling “backward” it has now re-entered Capricorn for one final time.

With Saturn revisiting the last few degrees of Capricorn, from now and until December, we may notice themes from March and earlier in the year resurfacing again.

When Saturn was last traveling through these final degrees of Capricorn, many countries around the world entered lockdown, so we may find ourselves revisiting that in some way.

On a personal level, Saturn moving back into Capricorn may stir some past themes for us, however, it is important to remember that we have been through it all before.

No new information or lessons are likely to surface, if anything, we may just be feeling a greater sense of understanding on the path we have been traveling.

July 2-7: Sirius Gateway

The Sirius Gateway is a magical time of year where our Spiritual Sun, Sirius aligns with our earthly Sun.

Our Sun that rises and sets each day, brings us life and sustenance and our Spiritual Sun does the same, but on a soul level.

It helps to supercharge our soul and inner vitality. We may feel our life-force energy getting stronger, or we may feel more connected to the Qi or Prana that flows all through our body.

Under the Sirius Gateway, we are more likely to receive intuitive or cosmic downloads, and it becomes easier for us to awaken our Kundalini energy and raise our vibration to higher levels.

The Sirius Gateway is like a power source that we can plug into in order to refuel our batteries.

July 4-5th: Capricorn Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

The final Eclipse of the Season is here – a Capricorn Lunar Eclipse. This is not only the last Eclipse of the Season but it is also the last Eclipse in the Cancer/Capricorn Eclipse cycle that we have been working with since May 2018.

We won’t experience another Capricorn or Cancer Eclipse for another 8 years.

This Eclipse is like a culmination point and its energy feels detoxifying.

There will be some release or purge needed, but it will feel satisfying and we will have this sense that we have finally reached the end on a journey we have been walking.

After this Eclipse, we will have a few months break before resuming the third and final Eclipse Season of the year in November.

If you are wondering, 2020 does hold an unusually large number of Eclipses, we normally experience 4 a year, but this year we have 6 to work with.

July 11: Chiron Retrograde

The healing asteroid, Chiron will enter the underworld. We already have strong retrograde energy floating through the cosmos, so Chiron just feels like another name to add to the mix!

Chiron Retrograde will be guiding us to find the strength in any healing we have recently gone through.

Sometimes the healing process can make us feel tired and a little depleted, but Chiron Retrograde encourages us to use the healing we have undertaken to find a new strength and to tune into a new power.

Healing takes hard work, but that hard work also brings strength, resilience, and a new power. Chiron Retrograde will be helping you to tune in, connect, and find that for yourself.

July 13: Mars conjunct Chiron

Mars entered Aries at the end of June where it will stay for an incredible six months. Mars is spending such a long time in its ruling sign due to its retrograde that happens in September.

Mars really becomes a star player as we enter the second half of the year, and it slowly begins sowing its seeds in July.

As Mars aligns with the healing asteroid Chiron, there will be a greater emphasis on needing to find our strength and inner warrior.

Following this alignment, over the next few months, Mars will then move on to align with the two Goddesses, Black Moon Lilith and Eris.

This creates a strong, fiery, and combative energy and tensions are likely to turn from a simmer to a rapid boil.

Once Mars goes retrograde on September 9, we are likely to see and experience this with more clarity.

More to come on this as we journey through the months, but just keep in mind that now is a good time to use this energy to claim your power and to not give it away.

July 14: Sun Opposite Jupiter

When the Sun aligns opposite Jupiter it tends to bring abundance and expansion, however, Jupiter happens to be retrograde and is hovering at the exact same degree of the Saturn Pluto Conjunction that happened earlier this year which triggered a lot of what we are now seeing play out through 2020.

As Jupiter moves over this sensitive degree and aligns opposite the Sun, we may see themes from January resurface, or something that was hiding in the shadows from this time may be uncovered.

July 12: Mercury Direct

Mercury will turn direct after being retrograde since June 17th.

We may feel a greater sense of clarity starting to arrive, especially now that we no longer have any personal planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars) in retrograde.

We always feel the personal planets the most when they retrograde, so as Mercury returns to its former speed, the air should feel a little clearer.

July 20: Cancer New Moon

The Cancer New Moon is a sensitive one and brings a mix of energy. On one hand, this New Moon will bring a fresh new lunar cycle, helping to create some distance from the recent Eclipse energies.

Things should feel lighter and we may feel inspired to set some new goals or to think about how we want to wrap up the second half of the year.

Saturn however, is also very active on this New Moon and its presence can sometimes bring harsh energy and restrictions. We may feel a pressure building, or we may feel held back in some way.

The best way to use this energy is to think about how you can take responsibility for your own life rather than waiting for permission from outside sources.

Under this Dark Moon, ask yourself – How can I take what is in my control and turn it into the best possible outcome for myself?

July 22: Leo Season Begins

The Sun enters the sign of the lion and reaches its fullest power in the cosmic skies.

Leo is ruled by the Sun, so this is a time where all of us can step up and learn how to radiate and sparkle in our own unique way.

The midpoint of Leo Season in August also brings the magical 88 Lionsgate Portal, where we get to work with the energy of Sirius, our Spiritual Sun once again.

July 25: Mars Enters Shadow Period

Mars will begin slowing down from this point forward as it prepares to go retrograde later in September.

Whatever is unfolding now until this time holds a clue as to what themes the upcoming retrograde will bring. We may also begin feeling some tense energy bubbling in the undercurrents too.

Mars Retrograde is a time where we can feel a little sluggish and like we have lost our motivation, so if you have important projects you want to get done, it’s best to start making some good headway at this time.

July 28: Venus Leaves its Shadow Period

Venus went direct on June 24-25 but it will now return to its former strength.

In the coming days, it will also leave the sign of Gemini, where it has spent an unusually long period of time and will enter the sign of Cancer.

Venus won’t retrograde again for another 18 months so this represents that we are well and truly on track with a new Venus Cycle.

As we begin this new Venus Cycle, we may feel stronger in our hearts and more open to new waves of Love.

The year gets off to a bang with the Quadrantids, the first of the annual big three meteor showers. Active while the Moon is new, it gives northern hemisphere observers a show to enjoy during the cold nights of winter. Sadly, the shower is not visible from southern skies.

The other two members of the big three — the Perseids and Geminids — are not so fortunate this year, with moonlight set to interfere and reduce their spectacle.

So, with that in mind, where and when should you observe to make the best of 2019’s meteoric offerings? Here we present the likely highlights for this year – the showers most likely to put on a good show.

We provide details of the full forecast activity period for each shower, and the forecast time of maximum. We also give sky charts, showing you where best to look, and give the theoretical peak rates that could be seen under ideal observing conditions – a number known as the Zenithal Hourly Rate, or ZHR.

It is important to note that the ZHR is the theoretical maximum number of meteors you would expect to see per hour for a given shower, unless it were to catch us by surprise with an unexpected outburst!

In reality, the rates you observe will be lower than the ZHR – but the clearer and darker your skies, and the higher the shower’s radiant in the sky, the closer you will come to this ideal value.

For any shower, to see the best rates, it is worth trying to find a good dark site (the darker the better) – far from streetlights and other illuminations. Once you’re outside, give your eyes plenty of time to adapt to the dark - half an hour should do the trick.

Showers that can only really be seen from one hemisphere or the other are denoted by either [N] or [S], while those that can be seen globally are marked as [N/S].

Quadrantids [N]

Active: December 28 - January 12

Maximum: January 4, 2:20am UT = 2:20am GMT = 3:20am CET

ZHR: 120 (variable, can reach ~200)

Parent: It’s complicated (comet 96P/Macholz and asteroid 2003 EH1)

Despite being one of this year’s three most active annual showers, the Quadrantids are often overlooked and under-observed. This is probably the result of their peak falling during the depths of the northern hemisphere winter, when the weather is often less than ideal for meteor observations.

For most of the fortnight they are active, Quadrantid rates are very low (less than five per hour). The peak itself is very short and sharp, far more so than for the year’s other major showers. As a result, rates exceed a quarter of the maximum ZHR for a period of just eight hours, centred on the peak time.

The Quadrantid radiant lies in the northern constellation Boötes, the Herdsman, and is circumpolar (never sets) for observers poleward of 40 degrees north. As a result, observers in northern Europe and Canada can see Quadrantids at any time of night. The radiant is highest in the sky (and the rates are best) in the hours after midnight.

For this reason, this year’s peak (at 2:20am UT) is best suited for observers in northern Europe - and given that peak rates can exceed 100 per hour, it is certainly worth setting the alarm for, to get up in the cold early hours, and watch the spectacle unfold.

Alpha Centaurids [S]

Active: January 31 - February 20

Maximum: February 8, 1:00pm UT = February 8, 9pm (WA) = February 8, 11pm (QLD) = February 9, 12am (NSW/ACT/Vic/Tas)

ZHR: Variable; typically 6, but can exceed 25

Parent: Unknown

The Alpha Centaurids are a minor meteor shower, producing typical rates of just a few meteors per hour. But they are famed as a source of spectacular fireballs for southern hemisphere observers and so are worth keeping an eye out for in southern summer skies.

Alpha Centaurids are fast meteors, and are often bright. As with most showers that are only visible from the southern hemisphere, they remain poorly studied. Though typically yielding low rates, several outbursts have occurred where rates reached or exceeded 25 per hour.

The shower’s radiant lies close to the bright star Alpha Centauri – the closest naked-eye star to the Solar System and the third brightest star in the night sky.

Alpha Centauri is just 30 degrees from the south celestial pole. As a result, the radiant essentially never sets for observers across Australia. The best rates will be seen from late evening onward, as the radiant rises higher into the southern sky.

This year, the peak of the Alpha Centaurids coincides with the New Moon, making it an ideal time to check out this minor but fascinating shower.

Eta Aquariids [S preferred]

Active: April 19 - May 28

Maximum: May 6, 2pm UT = May 6, 10pm (WA) = May 7, 12am (QLD/NSW/ACT/Vic/Tas)

ZHR = 40+

Parent: Comet 1P/Halley

The Eta Aquariids are possibly the year’s most overlooked treat, particularly for observers in the southern hemisphere. The first of two annual showers produced by comet 1P/Halley, the Eta Aquariids produce excellent rates for a whole week around their peak.

The radiant rises in the early hours of the morning, after the forecast maximum time, and best rates are seen just as the sky starts to brighten with the light of dawn. It can be well worth rising early to observe them, as rates can climb as high as 40 to 50 meteors per hour before the brightening sky truncates the display.

Eta Aquariid meteors are fast and often bright, and the shower regularly rewards those who are willing to rise early. Spectacular Earth-grazing meteors that tear from one side of the sky to the other can be seen shortly after the radiant rises above the horizon.

This year conditions are ideal to observe the shower, with New Moon falling on May 4, just two days before the forecast maximum. As a result, the whole week around the peak will be suitable for morning observing sessions, giving observers plenty of opportunity to see the fall of tiny fragments of the most famous of comets.

Southern Delta Aquariids, Piscis Austrinids and Alpha Capricornids [N/S; S favoured]

Active: Early-July to Mid-August

Maximum: July 28 - 30

Combined ZHR: 35

Parent: Comet 96P/Macholz (Southern Delta Aquariids); Unknown (Piscis Austrinids); Comet 169P/NEAT (Alpha Capricornids)

In most years, the approach of August is heralded by keen meteor observers as the build up to the Perseids – the second of the year’s big three showers. This year, moonlight will interfere, spoiling them for most observers.

But this cloud comes with a silver lining. A fortnight or so before the peak of the Perseids, three relatively minor showers come together to provide an excellent mid-winter show for southern hemisphere observers. This year, the Moon is perfectly placed to allow their observation.

These three showers – the Southern Delta Aquariids, Alpha Capricornids and Pisces Austrinids – favour observers in the southern hemisphere, though they can also be observed from northern latitudes.

Regardless of your location, the best rates for these showers are seen in the hours after midnight. Reasonable rates begin to be visible for southern hemisphere observers as early as 10pm local time.

The Southern Delta Aquariids are the most active of the three, producing up to 25 fast, bright meteors per hour at their peak, which spans the five days centred on July 30.

The Alpha Capricornids, by contrast, produce lower rates typically contributing just five meteors per hour. But where the Southern Delta Aquariids are fast, the Alpha Capricornids are very slow meteors and are often spectacular.

Like the Alpha Centaurids, in February, they have a reputation for producing large numbers of spectacular fireballs. This tendency to produce meteors that are both very bright and also slow moving makes them an excellent target for astrophotographers, as well as naked-eye observers.

Taurids [N/S]

Active: September 10 - December 10

Maxima: October 10 (Southern Taurids); November 13 (Northern Taurids)

ZHR: 5 + 5

Parent: Comet 2P/Encke

The Taurids are probably the most fascinating of all the annual meteor showers. Though they only deliver relatively low rates (approximately five per hour from each of the two streams, north and south), they do so over an incredibly long period – three full months of activity.

In other words, the Earth spends a quarter of a year passing through the Taurid stream. In fact, we cross the stream again in June, when the meteors from the shower are lost due to it being exclusively visible in daylight.

So a third of our planet’s orbit is spent ploughing through a broad stream of debris, known as the Taurid stream. In total, the Taurid stream deposits more mass of meteoric material to our planet’s atmosphere than all of the other annual meteor showers combined.

So vast is the Taurid stream that there is speculation that it originated with the cataclysmic disintegration of a super-sized comet, thousands or tens of thousands of years in the past, and that the current shower is a relic of that ancient event.

Taurid meteors are slow, and are often spectacularly bright. Like the Alpha Capricornids, they have a reputation for producing regular fireballs, making them another good target for the budding astrophotographer.

Rather than having a single, sharp peak, Taurid activity stays at, or close to, peak rates for the best part of a month, between the maxima of the northern and southern streams, meaning that it is always possible to find some time when moonlight does not interfere to observe the shower.

Geminids [N/S]

Active: December 4 - December 17

Maximum: December 14, 6:40pm UT = December 15, 4:40am (QLD) = December 15, 5:40am (NSW/ACT/Vic/Tas)

ZHR: 140+

Parent: Asteroid 3200 Phaethon

Another of the big three annual meteor showers, the Geminids are probably the best, with peak rates in recent years exceeding 140 meteors per hour.

The Geminids are visible from both hemispheres – although the radiant rises markedly earlier for northern observers. Even in the south of Australia, the radiant rises well before midnight, giving all observers the rest of the night to enjoy the spectacle.

Moonlight will seriously interfere with the peak of the shower this year, washing out the fainter meteors, with the result that observed rates will be lower than the ZHR might otherwise suggest.

But the shower regularly produces abundant bright meteors, and yields such high rates that it is still well worth checking out, even through the glare of the full Moon.

Ursids [N]

Active: December 17 - December 26

Maximum: December 23, 3:00am UT

ZHR: 10+

Parent: Comet 8P/Tuttle

The final shower of the year – the Ursids – is a treat for northern hemisphere observers alone. Much like the shower that started our journey through the year, the Quadrantids, the Ursids remain poorly observed, often lost to the bleak midwinter weather that plagues many northern latitudes.

But if skies are clear the Ursids are visible throughout the night, as their radiant lies just 12 degrees from the north celestial pole. As such, they make a tempting target for observers to check out in the evening, even if the radiant is at its highest in the early hours of the morning.

Most years, the Ursids are a relatively minor shower, with peak rates rarely exceeding ten meteors per hour. They have thrown up a few surprises over the past century, with occasional outbursts of moderately-fast meteors yielding rates up to, and in excess of, a hundred meteors per hour.

While no such outburst is predicted for 2019, the Ursids have proven to be a shower with a surprise or two left to show and so may just prove to be an exciting way to end the meteoric year.

November Forecast for Virgo

Here, there and everywhere! With the Sun in Scorpio and your social third house, you’re a multitasking maven and a whirling dervish of energy. Your calendar will be packed to the seams with events, meetings, parties and more. Vibrant conversations are what you live for, Virgo, and you can expect to have plenty of them this month. At the November 7 Scorpio new moon, one of those talks could plant the seeds for an exciting collaboration in the coming weeks, so keep your antennae up for kindred spirits today!

You’ll be glad to have a supportive, like-minded crew since this month’s cosmic activity is (once again) intense. Three planets will go in and out of retrograde while two make major zodiac sign changes. It will be hard to know where to put your energy because as soon as you move in one direction, the whole game changes. Good thing you’re one of the zodiac’s four “mutable” signs, which means you’re adaptable and open to change—in spite of Virgo’s reputation as being the consummate planner.

It all begins on November 6, when revolutionizer Uranus, who’s been retrograde since August 7, backs into Aries and your intimate eighth house for a four-month last hurrah. Uranus was in Aries from March 2011 to May 2018, bringing radical shifts to your finances and emotional and sexual affairs. You may have experienced some sweeping, if not seismic, shifts in these areas with disruptor Uranus shaking up the status quo.

Mid-May, Uranus moved into Taurus and your worldly, adventurous ninth house—a much easier placement that’s sparked up nomadic and entrepreneurial urges. But you’ll need to press pause and handle some unfinished “inner work” until March 6. After that, Uranus will leave Aries, not to return in this lifetime. Since the eighth house rules property and shared assets, some Virgos may finalize a divorce or “business breakup,” sell a home or sit down with a financial planner for a rigorous review. While the Uranian fluctuations aren’t comfortable, know that any last wobbles are designed to make sure you’re investing your time, money and energy in things that are authentically you.

The headline news arrives on November 8, when expansive Jupiter makes its once-a-year zodiac sign change, settling into Sagittarius and your domestic fourth house until December 2, 2019. Ready to put down some roots or add a new member to your household? With abundant Jupiter here, your adventures for the next year will be happening close to home…if not under your own roof! You could buy a home, move to a bigger place or turn your current abode into a bustling hub for inspiring guests, salon-style gatherings or maybe even rental income.

You’ve been quite the drifter for the past 13 months, because since October 2017, Jupiter’s been cruising through Scorpio and your third house of neighborhoods and community. This has sparked some exciting friendships and, if you’re looking for a place to settle, introduced you to some fun new cities or districts worth considering. But it’s been nearly impossible to “weigh anchor” for many Virgos. The very nature of the third house is to crave variety, and with globetrotting Jupiter here, you’ve had a veritable buffet of options and ideas. Supersizer Jupiter is also shifting from your intellectual third house to your emotional fourth house, getting you out of your head and into your heart. You can anticipate some expansive feelings in the coming year as well as plenty of opportunities to connect with your intuition and creativity. Warning: Your moods can swing from high to low at moments, so make time for sufficient self-care and support.

The fourth house rules women, children and nurturing in astrology and, without resorting to gender stereotypes, this “yin” energy could become a big part of your world. An inspiring woman or female-identified person might play a huge role in your personal growth. This could be a healing year with your mom or a mother figure, though you may go through a couple of painful moments as you evolve your bond or reach for a new level of honesty. On the upside, harmonious Venus will end a six-week retrograde on November 16, which has disrupted friendships and romance for everyone since October 5. The planetary peacekeeper has been backing through Libra and your money house since October 31, so the first couple weeks of the month could raise tension with colleagues and clients or drive up money stress.

Whew! Home is a haven AND a hotbed this month, that’s for sure. On November 22, the Sun begins its monthlong visit through Sagittarius and your cozy fourth house, joining Jupiter and Mercury. Now you’re ready to start hanging the holiday decorations, piping your painstakingly curated seasonal playlists through wireless speakers and just pausing.

But one specific day must be reserved for stepping into “power broker” mode. On November 23, the year’s only Gemini full moon beams into your tenth house of ambition and success, and you won’t want to squander this moment. Everything you’ve been working toward professionally for the past six months could reach a turning point or major manifestation moment. Romantic Venus is camped out in Libra and your security-seeking second house, and it’s retrograde here until November 16, making you especially reflective and ready to do any needed repair work. Meantime, Mars is wrapping up a tour of Aquarius that began back on September 10, and will heat up your detail-minded sixth house until November 15.

While Venus retrograde can be a little dicey—people tend to be snippy and oversensitive…and not particularly compassionate or kind—you’ll be able to step back from your emotions and view things from a more grounded place. This is especially true on November 9, when Venus and Mars make their third of 2018’s three harmonious trines. If you need to talk about money or other mundane matters with your mate, these “administrative” conversations can actually bring you closer together. Relationships heat up—and speed up—starting November 15, when sizzling Mars moves into Pisces and your partnership house for the rest of the year. Keep a handle on those funds! From November 6, 2018, to March 6, 2019, impulsive Uranus will be retrograde in Aries and your eighth house of long-term finances and investments. This final hurrah through your merging sector could make you second-guess a partnership, especially if it’s started to be a little confining. Do you feel like your voice is being heard and respected enough? Can you really grow in this venture? You might get an out-of-the-blue expense—but you could also score an unexpected windfall. This could be one of those times that you tap into your rainy-day savings or free yourself of any possessions and expenses that have been weighing you down.

Your stress levels may need some managing during the first half of the month since anxious Mars is in Aquarius and your sixth house of administrative affairs. You might feel overwhelmed by a project and need a few extra hands to meet a deadline. Don’t try to push through and DIY—send out a call for help. With Mercury turning retrograde from November 16 to December 3, you’ll want to make sure you have the proper support before things get chaotic.

On November 15, Mars will move into Pisces and your partnership house for the rest of the year, which could bring some dynamic people into your orbit. An exciting contract or offer might come your way. But with rash Mars here, you’ll want to take your time. Don’t rush into anything without conducting due diligence, but if everything checks out, then take a leap of faith.

INTUITIVE ASTROLOGY FORECAST AUGUST 2018.

The energy of August 2018 is very similar to July with more retrogrades and eclipses, however by the end of the month we are going to find ourselves inspired and ready to begin a new chapter.

August kicks off still under the influence of the Blood Moon Eclipse. During the first week of August we may still feel things rising up from the depths in order to be cleared.

Emotions may also be high during the first week of August as Mars, which is still in retrograde, continues to be very active.

Mars is our inner warrior, and can help us to achieve and overcome all obstacles, but when this energy is not in balance, or when it’s met with lots of lunar energy like it is in August, it can cause us to feel restless, agitated, and even aggressive.

If there is any anger or frustration buried underneath the surface, the first week of August may lead you to get things off your chest. Even though it can be tempting, it is best to practice patience and to really think it through if you are planning on confronting someone or taking action on something.

This energy does have an impulsive feel to it, so it’s going to be important to not leap before looking. Under all of this energy, slow and steady really does win the race.

On August 7th we have Uranus going retrograde, making a total of six planets in retrograde. This is going to continue the theme we have been dealing with since July.

Having so many planets in retrograde is a sign from the Universe that we need to stop and reflect on our past before moving forward.

Uranus going retrograde may bring up issues that were occurring around May 2018, or you may receive more insights or wisdom as to something that was stirring around this time.

On August 8th we have the opening of the Lionsgate Portal, which will be activating our soul bodies and helping us to upgrade and fine tune to higher frequencies and vibrations.

Following this we also have a Solar Eclipse on August 11th in the sign of Leo. This is the most potent and influential aspect of the month and it’s going to be lighting a new path forward.

This Solar Eclipse is going to bring new opportunities that will help us to start a new chapter in our lives. It may also bring more clarity and guidance around anything that was stirred during the Blood Moon Eclipse.

In fact, this Solar Eclipse is working in partnership to the Blood Moon Eclipse, and together it is likely these two lunar events will help to bring clarity to any issues or concerns you have been having.

This Solar Eclipse is the last Eclipse for 2018, and we are going to be working with its energy until the next Eclipse season starts in January 2019.

On August 18-19th, Mercury will turn direct after being retrograde since July 25th. This is going to help things start speeding up again, but with many other planets still in retrograde, it is only going to offer a small reprieve.

The real release with all of these retrogrades comes on August 27th when Mars finally goes direct after being retrograde since the end of June.

Mars will take a few days to rev back up, but once it does we are going to feel huge waves of action and energy. In fact, September will be a great month to push forward and we are going to be feeling far more energized and awakened.

SpaceX crew Dragon departs, carrying NASA astronauts toward home

Two astronauts who took the first commercial trip to orbit have left the International Space Station. They are scheduled to return home Sunday.

Astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley traveled to the space station in May aboard a Crew Dragon capsule built and run by SpaceX, the private rocket company started by Elon Musk.

The Crew Dragon undocked from the space station at 7:35 p.m. EDT on Saturday, with brief thruster firings pushing the spacecraft back.

As the capsule backed away from the station, Hurley thanked the current crew of the space station and the teams on the ground that helped manage their mission.

“We look forward to splashdown tomorrow,” he said.

If the weather remains favorable, it will splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico off Pensacola, Florida, at 2:41 p.m. Sunday, NASA announced.

A safe return would open up more trips to and from orbit for future astronaut crews, and possibly space tourists, aboard the spacecraft.

Isaias is forecast to sweep up along the Atlantic coast of Florida over the weekend. NASA and SpaceX have seven splashdown sites in the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic, but the track of the storm ruled out the three in the Atlantic.

“We have confidence that the teams on the ground are, of course, watching that much more closely than we are,” Behnken said during a news conference Friday, “and we won’t leave the space station without some good landing opportunities in front of us, good splashdown weather in front of us.”

How can I watch the return of the astronauts?

NASA Television’s coverage will continue through splashdown.

What will happen after they leave the station?

A: The capsule is now performing a series of burns to move away from the station and then line up with the splashdown site.

For much of the trip, Behnken and Hurley will be sleeping. Their schedule sets aside a full night of rest.

Any return journey that exceeds six hours has to be long enough for the crew to get some sleep between undocking and splashdown, Daniel Huot, a NASA spokesman, said in an email.

Otherwise, because of the extended process that leads up to undocking, the crew would end up working more than 20 hours straight, “which is not safe for dynamic operations like water splashdown and recovery,” Huot said.

Just before a final burn that will drop the Crew Dragon out of orbit Sunday afternoon, it will jettison the bottom part of the spacecraft, known as the trunk, which will then burn up in the atmosphere.

At reentry, the Crew Dragon will be traveling at about 17,500 mph. Two small parachutes will deploy at an altitude of 18,000 feet when the spacecraft has already been slowed by Earth’s atmosphere to about 350 mph. The four main parachutes deploy at an altitude of about 6,000 feet.

Once the capsule splashes in the water, it is expected to take 45 to 60 minutes to pluck them out.

Why does Isaias affect the return?

The storm complicated where splashdown could take place. At the splashdown site, winds must be less than 10 mph for the capsule to land safely. There are additional constraints on waves, rain and lightning. In addition, helicopters that take part in the recovery of the capsule must be able to fly and land safely.

The first landing opportunity will aim for only the primary site, Pensacola. If weather there is inconsistent with the rules, the capsule and the astronauts will remain in orbit for another day or two, and managers will consider the backup site, which is Panama City, Florida.

 Is it safer to land on water or on land?

Spacecraft can safely return to Earth in either environment.

During the 1960s and 1970s, NASA’s Mercury, Gemini and Apollo capsules all splashed down in the ocean while Soviet capsules all ended their trips on land. Russia’s current Soyuz capsules continue to make ground landings, as do China’s astronaut-carrying Shenzhou capsules.

When Boeing’s Starliner capsule begins carrying crews to the space station, it will return on land, in New Mexico. SpaceX had originally planned for the Crew Dragon to do ground landings but decided that water landings, employed for the earlier version of Dragon for taking cargo, simplified the development of the capsule.

Why is the return trip an important part of the Crew Dragon’s first flight?

A: After launch, reentry through Earth’s atmosphere is the second most dangerous phase of spaceflight. Friction of air rushing past will heat the bottom of the capsule to about 3,500 degrees Fahrenheit. A test flight of the Crew Dragon last year successfully splashed down, so engineers know the system works.

A successful conclusion to the trip opens the door to more people flying to space. Some companies have already announced plans to use Crew Dragons to lift wealthy tourists to orbit.

In the past, NASA astronauts launched on spacecraft like the Saturn 5 moon rocket and the space shuttles that NASA itself operated. After the retirement of the space shuttles in 2011, NASA had to rely on Russia, buying seats on the Soyuz capsules for trips to and from orbit.

Under the Obama administration, NASA hired two companies, SpaceX and Boeing, to build spacecraft to take astronauts to the space station. NASA financed much of the work to develop the spacecraft but will now buy rides at fixed prices. For SpaceX, the trip by Behnken and Hurley — the first launch of astronauts from American soil since the last space shuttle flight — was the last major demonstration needed before NASA officially certifies that the Crew Dragon is ready to begin regular flights.

 Who are the astronauts?

Behnken and Hurley have been friends and colleagues since both were selected by NASA to be astronauts in 2000.

Both men have backgrounds as military test pilots and each has flown twice before on space shuttle missions, although this is the first time they have worked together on a mission. Hurley flew on the space shuttle’s final mission in 2011.

In 2015, they were among the astronauts chosen to work with Boeing and SpaceX on the commercial space vehicles that the companies were developing. In 2018, they were assigned to the first SpaceX flight.

 What have the astronauts been doing aboard the space station?

Originally, the mission was to last only up to two weeks, but Behnken and Hurley ended up with a longer and busier stay at the space station. Because of repeated delays by SpaceX and Boeing, NASA ended up short-handed, with only one astronaut, Christopher J. Cassidy, aboard the space station when the Crew Dragon and its two passengers docked.

They stayed two months, helping Cassidy with space station chores. Behnken and Cassidy performed four spacewalks to complete the installation of new batteries on the space station. Hurley helped by operating the station’s robotic arm.

The men have also been contributing to science experiments in low earth orbit. They assisted in a study of water droplet formation in the low gravity environment of the space station using a shower head, and another that used fruit punch and foam to look at how to manage fluids in space. They also helped install new equipment inside the station that will be used in future scientific research.

Cassidy will remain aboard the station with two Russian astronauts, Anatoly Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner. All three are to stay on board through October when another crew of one American and two Russian astronauts will replace them.

When are the next Crew Dragon flights, and who will they carry?

A: The first operational flight of the Crew Dragon will launch no earlier than late September. It will take three NASA astronauts — Michael S. Hopkins, Victor J. Glover and Shannon Walker — and one Japanese astronaut, Soichi Noguchi, to the space station.

The second operational flight, tentatively scheduled for February 2021, will carry two NASA astronauts, Robert S. Kimbrough and K. Megan McArthur; Akihiko Hoshide of Japan; and Thomas Pesquet of the European Space Agency.

Manifesting with The Phases of the Moon

When we become aware of the cycles of life, we find the natural ups and downs easier to flow with.

Life is not constant in any way. Everything’s always changing. Cycles of growth and decay are all around us at all times. The changing of the seasons. Varying degrees of prosperity and despair. It’s all natural.

When you fully realise this, that life is suppose to have varying degrees of contrast, it makes the hard times easier to flow with and the good times more enjoyable.

Give it a minute and let it be bad. It’ll all be over in a little bit.

As part of the universe ourselves, we can sync up our bodies, our actions, the vary way we live our lives to the cycles of nature. Riding the energy flow that’s already taking place around us makes our ride smoother.

More flow, less resistance.

Living by the cycles of the moon is one such way to ride the flow of life. Each moon cycle lasts about 28 days. Sound familiar, ladies? Many woman have synced their own 28 day cycle to that of the moon’s with little effort. But that’s a different blog post.

The moon’s energy is feminine, or passive and receptive, if you prefer. Each of her phases bringing more and different energies to help us to nurture, birth and grow.

By setting our intentions at the beginning of the cycle (the new moon) and nurturing them in the way the moon does with her changing phases, we can bring them into being more fluidly.

The New Moon

The new moon is the beginning of the cycle. This is when we set our intentions. Much like you would set goals at the beginning of the month.

What do you want to create?

What changes do you want to make?

What do you want to bring into being?

Enhance the energy of the new moon by setting your intentions to the zodiac in which the moon is in. For example, this new moon  (September 2018) is in Virgo. Setting intentions that align with Virgo are going to have the most power right now.

The more you sync yourself with the world around you, the more automatic it becomes. Towards the end of August, I decided to turn over a new leaf in September with how I was taking care of myself. My eating and exercising habits have been lacking since I had my daughter and I wasn’t comfortable in my body anymore. That’s when I made a habit tracker and started getting serious about food, yoga and other self care practices I wanted to focus more on. As a mom, it’s so easy to let our own needs fall to the wayside. It was only yesterday, as I sat to write my new moon forecast email that I realised I was already setting intentions with the Virgo energy of this moon cycle. Without even realising it! The more in flow you intend to be, the more flow will find you. When we practice aligning ourselves with the world around us, our inner being, our guides, source and all of the magical workings in our universe conspire to bring us more of it, automatically. We initiate the work and then effortless flow carries us to what we desire as long as there’s no resistance. This Virgo new moon is going to help us set the pace for all of the structure and organisation we need to settle into the new school year. Virgo is one of my favourite signs. Even though there’s zero in my chart, I relate to it extremely well with our similar detailed and type A nature. Virgo likes to fix things. They notice all the small details and desire all the knowledge to help them get things running smoothly. 

Intentions with this new moon will be best served with focuses around health, fixing that which is broken and helping others. Knowing this, it may be obvious to you what intentions you need to set this month.

If it’s not, close your eyes, take some deep breaths and ask your inner, higher self and/or your guides:

Are there some health concerns you need to work on?

Some lifestyle changes around health that need to be made?

Details your missing that need attention?

Is there someone that needs your help?

Something broken in yours or someone’s life that needs fixing?

Where and how can you be of service?

Don’t let the waning summer deter you from improving yourself and your health. Now’s not the time to start getting comfortable with your bad habits. This Virgo energy is the perfect time to initiate positive lifestyle changes that you want to see stick.

By improving myself and my daily habits, I improve the world as a whole.

I am in complete alignment with my true and higher being.

Only that which aligns with who I truly am enters my life & all that doesn’t is released

Set your crystals outside or on a windowsill to clear.

Waxing Crescent

The waxing crescent is the second phase in the cycle. This is when you take action, preferably inspired action, towards your goals.

What are you feeling led to do?

What is inspiring you?

What do you feel you NEED to do?

Action towards your goals is great. Inspired action is unstoppable.

Create space around your intentions. Hold space for them to be worked on. We can’t find inspired action to make more money if we spend all of our time watching tv. We can’t find inspired action to exercise if we don’t turn our attention towards the topic at all.

Type the subjects of your intentions into Pinterest and see if anything catches your attention.

Meditate on your intentions. What actions pop up in your mind about them? Follow it.

Talk about them with others. Does the conversation lead you to do anything?

The universe is creating things all around you, trying to get your attention and point you towards your path of least resistance. Practice mindfulness. Notice what’s going on around you and follow your “signs”.

First Quarter

The first quarter phase of the moon is the time to show the universe you’re serious about wanting your intentions to take hold and to manifest.

You’ve found your inspired action and followed it. Let the momentum grow. Practice it or add to it where appropriate.

This is when we breathe more life into it. It begins to take root and maybe start to look like something tangible. Water it. Stick with it.

Waxing Gibbous

The waxing gibbous is the next phase in the cycle. What we’ve planted has grown into something we can see, touch or feel, whether physically, mentally or energetically. It’s something real.

We’ve been allowing the momentum of inspired action to carry us. Adding to that which we are building. That which we are wanting.

We’ve learned enough about it to see what is working for it, what isn’t, what we like about it, what we don’t. We know our feelings about the processes and the outcomes we’re getting from it, will get from it.

Now’s the time to refine it.

What needs more attention?

What parts aren’t working?

Has it led us to something else?

Are we still focused on the desired outcome?

Have we become distracted?

Does it need to be reworked? Rethought?

Follow your intuition. Your emotional guidance system. Follow what feels good, discard what feels bad but know the difference between bad and difficult.

Just because it may feel deterring doesn’t mean it’s bad. Example: Speaking in front of a crowd for the first time.

Know the difference between discomfort to progress and discomfort to let go of. Again: What is it that you are wanting? Will this lead you closer to it?

Trust the process.

Full Moon

Now your manifestations are blooming! The fruit of your labour is near!

The full moon is revealing. It shines light on all of the things we need to know in order to move forward and receive what it is we desire.

The November 23 Gemini full moon beams into a very different part of your chart, putting the spotlight on your domestic fourth house. Show YOU the money! Your luckiest career cycle in more than a decade begins November 8, when abundant Jupiter starts a 13-month trek through Sagittarius and your tenth house of professional success. If you’re ready to take a business to the next level or enter a whole new field, expansive Jupiter is ready to grant your wish. Since the tenth house rules traditional corporations and hierarchies, you might be offered a promotion or a formal position with benefits, stock options and the like. Globe-trotting Jupiter could also bring an opportunity to travel or work remotely—perhaps opening up your company’s new office in Brazil or Berlin?

After November 16, take it SLOW with any job offers and if possible, sleep on all negotiations (or stall until early December!). Communication planet Mercury will be retrograde until December 6, and it’s backing through Sagittarius until December 1, causing some crossed wires or hazy details. Ask all the questions you need before accepting an offer.
