NJZ’s (NewJeans) Latest Update Following Court Ruling Earns Mixed Reactions, Demands For Apologies  

On March 21, it was revealed that the court accepted ADOR’s injunction for NJZ (NewJeans) regarding their activities.

The court ruled that NJZ (NewJeans), which has an exclusive contract dispute with ADOR, should not engage in independent activities. Last November, NewJeans promoted their activities after claiming that their contracts were terminated due to the violation of ADOR’s contract.

There have been a variety of reactions to the ruling, including NJZ’s initial ones.

In the early hours of March 22, the Instagram account that NJZ used shared another update, this time a long letter addressed to fans.

“Everything will be okay, Bunnies. It’s not easy, I know… but I hope you can let your heart rest a little today—whether it’s getting some good sleep or just taking it easy.

Honestly… I’ve been a bit all over the place preparing for this stage, and I feel really sorry that I haven’t been able to look after you all as much lately. I had so many thoughts because I wanted to go all out this time… and I know it hasn’t been easy for you either. It must’ve been tough, not being able to communicate like we used to. I worry that you’re still hurting now… I really want to give each of you a hug and comfort you, but I can only do it through words, and that breaks my heart.ㅠㅠ

You’re the ones who’ve always stood by us, endlessly cheering us on…

You’ve worked so hard. Thank you. Because of you, the five of us became stronger, are strong now, and will continue to stay strong.

This isn’t the end yet! Netizens shared a variety of reactions to the news, including similar ones that offered support but wished the group to take a break from social media.

I think it’d be better to pause Instagram for now. Both the idol and the fans seem mentally exhausted—taking a break from communities and SNS and focusing on something else might be the best move.

Others expressed thoughts that NJZ should instead be apologizing to the others that were involved or mentioned in the ongoing legal battle, including ILLIT‘s manager.

NewJeans Go Viral For Their Chaotic AF Moments At The “2024 Asia Artist Awards”

On December 27, the hottest celebrities in the Korean entertainment industry attended the 2024 Asia Artist Awards in Bangkok, Thailand. NewJeans were among the top artists to appear at the event.

The night was a memorable one for the group as they bagged multiple awards, including a Daesang for the Best Artist category.

But for fans, the entire event was quite memorable as the members appeared much livelier and free throughout the night. Many of their chaotic and funny moments went viral during the award show, including the following:

Minji vs Hyein

While receiving an award, a visibly excited Minji ended up confusing her spot with Hyein and then followed it up by accidentally hitting her in the face.

Contagious Slaps

While Haerin was delivering a speech, Minji playfully hit her on her shoulder. The rest of the members followed immediately into a cackle

Hyein had to cover her ears to protect herself from Minji’s unusually loud clapping. 

She then followed it up by breaking into a dance, unprompted, while Hyein gave her portion of the acceptance speech.

The rest of the members could hardly contain their chuckles as she constantly went up on her tippy toes to reach the mic.

NewJeans, The BIBI Ride Or Die

The group was visibly losing its collective marbles at the back while the soloist delivered yet another iconic performance.

“Lovely Runner” Enthusiasts

NewJeans were seated right behind Lovely Runner stars Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon. Hyein could hardly remember that she too was a celebrity when the pair bowed at her.

Screams and Squeals

At one point during their acceptance speech, the rest of the members broke into a chuckle when Minji’s excited squeals were broadcasted in 4K as the mic caught it unexpectedly.

When the group went up to receive the grand prize, the sudden confetti burst brought a collective scream out of them. Even IVE’s Wonyoung couldn’t hold back her smile at this childlike moment.

Fans were relieved to see the NewJeans members in such a light mood at the award show, being free like a group of normal teenagers, despite the gravity of their current circumstances. Meanwhile, Danielle mentioned ADOR‘s former CEO Min Hee Jin in her speech, causing quite a stir at the show.
